I posed this question in the new members section a week or two ago, and most answer were "only DIY liquids are safe", however I'm looking to do some shopping in B&M shops.

In particular I'm looking at space jam liquids, which according to the vapor shark tests (pic attached) look pretty solid in terms of DA/AP content. Any opinions?

I'm also interested in some more complex/tobacco flavors. Halo states on their website "no diketones added" but that seems like lawyer language to me ("We don't add diketones but who knows what are flavor suppliers have in their flavors"). Would you feel comfortable with halo liquids being diketone free, or have you seen any data suggesting their lack of DA/AP?

Let me know your opinion of these two ejuice vendors, and if you have any other examples of DA/AP free vendors that you would recommend please let me know. Again, this is for vendors commonly available in B&M stores.

Thanks in advance folks

Halo doesn't say, "no diketones added." They say Halo does not contain Diacetyl in any of our e-liquid formulas. This was a strict requirement for Halo far before it became a popular topic in the forums.

Good call, I see where it says that now. Have you seen any reference to AP and Halo?

Thanks for the quick response and input.

No, but given their flavors, being mostly menthols and tobaccos, I can't imagine they use chemicals to make them buttery or creamy...
Sure, no problem...

Ehh I wouldn't be too shocked. Have you followed the 5 pawns thread? Castle long wasn't buttery or creamy.

I would be shocked, given their philosophy of making safer e-liquid...

Also, Halo would be a big fish to catch; I imagine their e-liquids have already been independently tested by someone, or many someones looking for that gotcha moment...

Someone called them and they replied that they are in the process of finalizing their testing and results will be on the site soon. Here's a thread with more vendors. Not organized well unfortunately, and lots of chatter before you see a vendor name every few posts. Better than nothing though.

I would be shocked

As was Dr. F. when he tested those eliquids last year and 70%+ had DAP

No diacetyls claimer on Halo site isn't enough......some do not consider AP to be diacetyl, as you know.

I agree their flavors don't "seem" like the type that would have DA or AP, but w/out a test, well, you know the mantra. :)

70% of all ejuices tested correct? You're not just referencing halo I assume.

I try to stay away from the heavy diketone laden fluids, and I enjoy space jam. I figure with the lower levels in the juices i like, Omega, Astro and Andromeda, I'm not too worried about lasting effects. I do make sure I usually purchase da/ap free liquids for my adv, but i don't mind using the lower level da/ap fluids occassionally.

Was glad to see the white rabbit by the vaping rabbit has low levels too, cause my gf loves the stuff!
