I flushed my engagement ring down the toilet.

Not on purpose of course. When I started vaping I began drinking a lot of water and started to lose some weight, apparently around my fingers. In the middle of the night I went to the bathroom, and when I went to flush the toilet, as the cycle of water was almost done flushing my ring fell off and zoooop! there it goes.

I just stood there. I saw it all happen in slow motion. It was like a craps game (with dice, no pun) I was hoping it was done flushing before the ring entered the water..

Point is, quitting analogs ain't all bells 'n whistles folks. There's no accounting for stupid.

I was married in May of 2012, on December 26th, of the same year, I lost my wedding ring in a cardboard recycling dumpster. I had bought a new TV, and wanted to surprise my wife with it, so I went to go get rid of the box. I spent an hour or so dumpster diving through the cardboard, but never found it. Glad mine was only ceramic, and inexpensively replaced. I ordered a new one, and when I picked up my wife from work I told her "I'm fine, everyone is fine, but I have some bad news." She was relieved that it wasn't something more serious.
