El...I can relate so much to your story. And just FYI we are kin in faith...figured there was something there all along:) I can't believe how we used to smoke on planes, at work etc. I like you wasn't ready to give up the fight because someone else said we had to. Now.. had I known then what I know now....... Thanks for sharing

I can't cut down on nic I vape 0mg. But headaches are a normal part of life for me. In a few months after I actually start drinking beneficial liquids more, they should go away, stuff other than water and gatorade are not very beneficial hydration tools here in SA. Hehe got a kick out of being called sir... Don't anyone ever call me ma'am, but I am female... Posted a quick webcam pic. Will work on getting a better picture at some point. Over at my friends place using his webcam.

OK, first things first: :)
@Eleanor, what is the All Saints' Day Mass? I am not a religious person, but I grew up Christian, but never heard of that.

November 1st of every year is the Feast Day for all the Saints in Heaven (not just the canonized ones, but all people in Heaven). It has been that date on the Liturgical Calendar for well over a millenium. It is a Holy Day of Obligation for Catholics throughout the world, meaning we must attend Holy Mass on that day in honor of the saints. (The next day, November 2nd, is All Souls' Day, when the Church prays especially for the souls of all the dead still being purified or "gotten ready" for full communion with the Godhead in Heaven.)

In Old English, the word for "saint" or "blessed" was "Hallow" -- thus October 31st is always "All Hallow's Eve," or "Halloween.":) An old superstition (not Christian belief) began that, on the eve of all Saints' Day, the demons and spirits in Hell were permitted to roam the Earth, in a sort of anticipatory "protest" against God and His saints. Thus the association of Halloween with evil and all things scary!
Lady E...My father and I were asked to process the "remembrance book" for our parish into mass for tonight's All Soul's Day mass. Truly an amazing honor considering all those who've lost loved ones this year at our church. They picked us. Pray that I can keep it together. Don't want to be a blubbering idiot going down the aisle! xxoo

And I liked it ! :smokie:

I am so glad I vape 0mg juice, or else my sick wed would have been so much worse. I am pritty sure it was the clove that sent me over the edge of headache to migraine from below. A few less draws and half gallon of water Thursday and I was good. I gave the clove cartos to my friend, he likes them and ain't sensitive to them. I still get a headache if I take to many draws off a fresh carto to rapidly, but it don't turn into a migraine. Also this was useing the PT which burns so much hotter than the batteries. I nearly burned myself quite a few times Wed using the pt cause it was getting so hot.

@kk why don't you need to drink more water if you vape menthol?

Menthol makes me personally salivate, so I do not need water with it.

Now, for my vaping story::)
I began smoking regularly at age 16, when I went away to school. A carton of cigarettes cost $5-6 (!!), and as a Virginian, tobacco was considered a birthright! (Hey, it was the 1970's . . .:D) I smoked about 1-1.5 ppd for the next 35 years, and had no intention whatsoever of quitting -- come hell or high water. I remember smoking in classrooms, on airplanes, in courtrooms (or at least the hallways), and everywhere else an ordinary human being would go (except Church).

I loved smoking. I loved it as if I'd invented it. Especially after I became really ill (non-tobacco related) in about the year 1999, smoking was one of my last, and certainly my dearest, pleasures and consolations.

Of course, the world had changed by then. Except for my Mother, none of my relatives allowed smoking in their homes anymore (those who had smoked had all quit years ago). Smoking was banned not only on planes, but generally throughout entire airports and in most restaurants/pubs. Some people felt it was perfectly acceptable to tell strangers who smoked that they "stank." I had no intention of quitting, but was very tired of the hassle, and the hatred, and the second (third?)-class citizenship. Even my best friend (who smokes!) would banish us all to the outside porch at big family gatherings and feasts! :grr:

One night in mid-2010 I was listening to the radio and heard an advert for something called an "electronic cigarette." I don't recall the brand, but I was intrigued by the concept. Around November 2010 I got online and began researching these "things" as an alternative to "real" smoking whenever I had to be at someone else's house (oh the joys of the Holiday season in the Kansas City climate! Brrrrrr . . . .).

After receiving a starter kit from an infamously not-great brand (and darn near coughing my fool head off every time I tried to puff their nasty cartos), I laid aside the idea entirely until January 2011. That was when I found ECF, and from there, Vapor4Life, and from there: vape heaven!

The first week with my V4L kit I just vaped a little each day to get "the hang" of it; I couldn't believe how tasty and enjoyable this PV was! I still smoked throughout the day (especially with those cherished first cups of coffee), but found that I was spending more and more time with my new yummy "toys" than with my old, old ciggy friends.

One day I tried, just out of curiosity, to have my coffee with just my vapes (no problem!), and by the end of the second week I went to bed one night (January 27) realizing I hadn't had a single cigarette all day! Nor did I want one!

So just like that, I, the world's most determined smoker, became an avid and happy non-smoker/vaper without even meaning to! I went from 8mg to 18mg before settling in at 11-12mg, and have explored numerous flavors before whittling down my "main" vapes to about 6-7 (cough). Needless to say, the super quality of V4L's products, and the company/advice of this here forum, made it all that much easier, and keeps me vaping happily to this day. :)

(Sorry to inflict my first novel on you guys.:laugh:)

I had to reply a whole quote to this because I thought it was amazing. Eleanor, it was great to read that, and a Novel? Heh, not quite a "novel" For me, but it was long and amazing. (I roleplay online, kinda like Dungeons and dragons but without the board, there are character's we make up and such) So that was quite short for me, but I did love it.

I can relate with the whole family smoking, and even my friends who smoke, everyone gets kicked out, even them for smokes in their house. I personally do not even use my E cig in a house unless I ask first, and if they do not know, I explain to them what it is.

All set with the Dr. El been there everything is ok...I think maybe I wimp out too quickly when the cough produces eye watering, nose running &sneezing along with the lungs flopping around on the floor. I don't remember how long it took to smoke without coughing but I'm sure it wasn't quite as violent..0mg nic is fine so I assume it's the nic but how to remedy that I do not know.:(

It could be also that you are allergic to the PG, I would buy some VG only juice and try it that way with some nic in it.
