I don’t know what I’d do without the fast forward slider on reviews. They’re generally about twice as long as they need to be. What is it, what does the deck look like, how do you wick it, does it work well. Who needs to know how big something is in tenths of a millimeter?

We do a lot of e-learning vids (job), and our basic rule is nothing over 5 minutes (break em down into smaller spots). That wouldn't work for vape reviews.but some of them could probably be condensed a bit.

I'm not qualified to judge though since it would take.a muzzle at my temple for me to drop THIS face onto an unsuspecting public.

There's another I just thought of. Kimmy Vapes (or something similar). She's "a bit" (LOL) cuter than Mark, Scott, Phil (etc.).

I'm easy....
I see where you are coming from, I like my reviewer to not be made of silicone, that's for 'o' rings, and paint that doesn't come off with time elapsing.

I have a hard time watching any videos. Even with the better reviewers I just can’t watch them. I prefer written reviews so much more then the videos. I usually just fast forward through the videos to get a good look at a product and maybe catch the end for final thoughts but I’d rather just read reviews.

Hi,

I started vaping a while ago now and I'm using YouTube a lot for all kinds of information and reviews.
Is that just me or is the most important trait to be mentally unstable if you want to be on YT and review mods and ejuices. I mean most of these guys seem to think a video is only good if they trump each other with being weird and using sh..t, b...h and other unnecessary language.
I found just one channel so far that keeps it simple and professional.

Can you guys suggest some good reviewers which not try so hard to be cool ?

Mark Todd, DSJLB, Phil Busardo... those are the ones I watch most often when I want to know how to build a new RTA or know more about a product.

Ill be honest though I don't trust any of them for reviews, but rather just to see how to work some of the electronics or to learn the best placement of coil, as a result I watch video reviews either right before purchase or immediately after. Instead, I normally buy a product based on actual owners thoughts. If someone is using a mod as a daily driver for the last 6 months, they are more likely able to tell me all about the product than someone who only used it a couple days. Just a thought for you.

Good luck.

The vast majority of 'em don't even grok the simple concept of, whilst juicing it up, briefly pulse firing a coil build in order to prevent juice leaking all over the mod. Nobody's perfect I guess, and I don't mean to suggest that I am, but speaking of "professional", I can give you a few dozen professional examples to show they're all trying to ride a bicycle before they can walk.

The only video that ever influenced me to actually spend a thing is this one.

Late December, 2011. I was vaping for all of about a minute then, excited by pretty much everything. It arrived just in time for New Year's Eve that year (twas a Saturday, if I recall), and I was like a kid at... (Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivus, etc.). "Holiday".

I dig Phil's vids. He's a good guy (IMO). Yet I still pull every one straight to Thumbs Up/Down.

Threads, friends, work-of-mouth, and in some cases, basic instinct (sometimes validated, others not so much). Those are the things that have driven me to buy every "thing" since. I watch the vids because I like the people (not limited to vape, not even close).

I still get a kick out of Twisted, and that dates back to his very early stuff. I remember he did one, Provari vs. SVD, that had me in stitches. I think it was the first I saw of him. He's another I wouldn't mind sitting on a barstool next to, if the man resembles the character, that is.

:toast:

To the OP, just keep hopping around. You'll find the ones you like. Or not. I bet you'll still find plenty of stuff to buy though. :D

:danger:

I stand correcting myself, sorry. Useless, I know, but I feel compelled...

This one influenced me (to buy) too.

I'm done now. Y'all can open your eyes again (wait about six minutes, to be safe).

Bye.

I like DJL for the teardowns of the mods and his ossiliscope measurements. Todd is just a solid, trusted reviewer and pleasantly low key. Vic is a decent watch, and Jai, he is in his own class but under the drama is knowledgeable. Zophie is always fun, and regardless of her hair color is a nice, to the point reviewer, who can point out problems in am understated manner without the "this is garbage" criticism. Phil is excellent but I can't take an hour out of my day to watch a simple review.

My favorite reviewers are the ones speaking foreign languages, or like, with the sound off. I'm usually just watching to find out the build.

My favorite review of all time was one I found on the doggy style, which was just a pair of disembodied hands, set to ominous music, as the tank was assembled.

It was like "How it's made" as far as you can't look away.... Only creepier.

But, I am mostly looking for the demo part, not the "Here is my YouTube "personality" part" or even my "opinion" part.
