Idk how long I've been off analogs, 2-3 weeks, not keeping count but today I noticed a drastic change in taste and I don't like it. A lot of things don't taste good, I'm hardly vaping, no urge for an analog, that will probably taste the worst. Even vaping taste bad today. I know my taste buds are going through some adjustment, I want to know how long will this last?

I usually do vape menthol (those didn't taste bad) but I am running low and my next order won't be here till monday or tuesday so in my attmept to conserve I started to vape the free tobacco carto that came with the kit. I thought I liked tobacco taste, it smells nutty, I never noticed that before. I think it smells better than it tastes but I'll try it again after a tongue scrape. Thanks.

The free stuff that comes with kits is often 100% PG which can be harsh on your tongue - that can mess up your taste. Makes my tongue sore after a while - a feeling similar to burning your tongue a too-hot beverage. The 100% PG was fine for quitting (good TH anyway) and I still occasionally use 100% PG like Dekang DK-TAB but I do not vape it all the time. I usually use 70pg/30vg and soemtimes 80pg/20vg juices, and 50/50 for some desserty flavors.

ALSO - after you get used to vaping, sometimes you might vape away and never give your nose any vapor to smell. Blow your nose, and make sure your nose gets to smell some of the vapor. Most of taste is smell.

You'll find that this probably won't be the last time you sense of taste gets out of whack. A lot of us go through "flavor cycling" where it seems like none of our juice tastes good or has any taste at all. It usually only lasts a few days at most and switching flavors seems to help sometimes.

Thanks for this. I have vaped for 4 weeks and all my flavors (I only had 3) seemed like they had no taste. I ordered some new flavors.

I have had the same and have been vaping a short while.Tried all the above apart from mouthwash, it has helped sometimes. I find going outside has helped and having lots of plain water around helps to taking regular sips as vaping makes me drier than smoking did. I use three or four flavours a day and this change makes all the difference for me..

Not the last of it? Uhhg, even though I can tolerate the taste of the juice I just don't even feel like vaping. My body is aching too, I don't know if it's withdrawl or just not getting enough nic today because if I went long periods without analogs I felt tired but not achy. I almost feel like I might quit vaping too, is that normal when we get the yuckies after quiting analogs? My taste buds are totally flipping out, my soup is so bland I poured half a cup of vinegar in it just to give it flavor! Other things are strong in taste and smell.

What's in the analogs made us lose this sense so bad? I really hate analogs, this is the first time I have ever said that even after quiting so many times, and I mean those things are really beginning to make me angry for what I've been missing out on when it comes to my senses.

I'm trying everything, I'll sip on water outside after I finish my vinegar with a splash of soup! haha

Ha! No worries my friend! It happened to me a couple weeks back and lasted a few days. Slowly my taste came back. Use your less desired juices in the interim. I'd never believe if it didn't happen to me. Be relieved to know when they come back, your buds, juice tastes better than ever!

Ah, some relief, in a couple days... I have an extremely low tolerance for pain and this is getting painful! lol,

Sounds like some withdrawl symptoms. The achyness especially, and tylenol should help a lot with that, but be SURE to drink lots of water...... lots. It will help more than you know.

For the "loss of taste " thing, that happens even to long time no smokers vaping, like me. I Find brushing my teeth and using listerine then a water rinse clears things right up.

I had this happen to me a few months ago...I was smoking a certain type of juice and all of it was nasty period...I gave up on my ecig for a few months and started smoking cigars because the taste was so bad...In my case it did not go away at all....I'm back again to my ecig and trying to start back up full-time...It was not the juice because I had 12 bottles of it and it was not just one brand...

I just took TH's advice and I sipped on water in my old analog stomping grounds, outside, I vaped and I feel a little better. I think I need the nic more than I thought. But I noticed something really strange, snow smells. I COULD SMELL THE SNOW!!! WTFRUIT? I had no idea snow had a scent. Can you smell snow too or am I just imagining it?

Did you decide to go back to cigars as you quit vaping or did your body make you start smoking again? I feel like I could quit vaping but if I feel an urge, just vape instead of buying a pack of stink stix.

It certainly does have a smell. I remember a couple of weeks ago when I went out to my jeep at night and I could smell the trees, ground, etc. You've just been desensitizing yourself for a while.

On the juices tasting bad, etc. I've been dealing with this over the last couple of days as well. I went through a period where I could taste all the juices and they tasted great (and tasted like they should). Yesterday morning, most of them tasted horrible (and some were burning my nose for some reason). I think it might be because my sinuses are messed up and I've been taking 12hr sudafed and using nasal spray. My DK Tab, Toffee Coffee, and a couple of others still taste good. The rest taste nothing like they did a few days ago. They are bad.
I've been blaming my juice, cartos, rinse water, even my dog. lol.
I'm just glad I didn't start throwing them away, though, because some are coming back today.
It's absolutely impossible to try mixing when your tastes go whacko, too. I'm just going to stop everything, put it all away, and stick to vaping the DK Tab for a couple days. I was ready to start adding sweeteners and DK tab flavoring to everything because I was getting ...... off. Glad I didn't. :)

I'm glad that I will be able to recover!

How long have you been off analogs? My taste came back the next day and I haven't had a problem since but I've noticed my nose being stuffy in the mornings. I hope I don't go through that bad taste incident again but I've read that it will be off and on for a while, that's why I ask how long you have been off analogs.

I've been off analogs since Dec 30, so it's been exactly 1 month. My taste/smell has come and gone a few times over this period, but never to the point where my juices would taste bad, just bland. This time they actually tasted bad like chemicals or something. Tonight, all the juices taste a little bit better. Not good like before, but they're better. I guess I'll just see where it goes. It sucks because one of the flavors that's tasting bad was a favorite of mine over the last few weeks and I have quite a lot of it. lol.
