That's why I don't use cotton anymore - too easy to burn and once it burns, oh man. Using XC-116 now and the stuff is awesome.

been there, done that..... love the taste of cotton, but I've been screwed so many times.......... im mostly back to silica...... use cotton when I run out of silica......... I have too many other things to worry about........

still, ill admit, when cotton is good... it's very, very good

I know the feeling... Once got a dryhit from this kinda setup 0,3ohms and i forgot to drip it after i had a near dry hit... Sat it down and took a deep lung hit 20 minutes later... Biiiig mistake :S

Everyone knows that taste. Thanks for posting. It made me chuckle because I know what you are talking about. But on the bright side, if you have been vaping since Nov. 2013 and this is the first time you have experience this.....you are doing pretty good.

You mean out of all the cigarettes you guys smoked before vaping, you never once burned one down so far that you inhaled the cotton filter? I can't be the only one that's experienced that "wonderful" flavor.

And if I am the only one... then I'm just kidding.

I use cotton in drippers and I've never had a bad dry hit from one. If I run the RDA a bit dry I notice it, it's not bad and I put in a few drops.

However I also vape Genisis attys with SS mesh. Get a sudden short in one of those at 25 watts and it's bad! Most of the time you get at least a slight warning, but not always. That's one reason I always take a small primer puff before I take a full hit. I have always tended to do that anyway but with Genis it's part of my standard operating procedure

Oh, that's happened to me more than a few times too. I feel dry hits when vaping are bad because we degrade the PG and VG. I don't even want to think about what comes off a burning cigarette filter
