Z Coils at recommended wattage seem to produce no or flat taste

Hello,

About two weeks ago I got a Kroma Z pod styled vape. It came with two coils 0.3Ω and 0.8Ω and I ordered separately a box of 0.6Ω duo Prime coils. Right now it seems that both 0.6 and 0.8 coils need a bit more watts than recommended. The 0.8 has the best taste at 25W and the 0.6 at 19W. At the minimal recommended wattage both coils produce almost no taste or vapor. The 0.3Ω coil works well within the recommended range, and 35W is the sweet spot.

So I'm wondering, is it possible that the mod is not sending the specified wattage, if set to low values and is closer to the set wattage when in the high values?

my guess is that the device is sending close to the set wattage, low or high. Less release of flavor at lower power isn't uncommon. Your e-liquid or your tongue could also be what's making the difference.

Hi, @Luka76. We are so sorry to hear about the issue you are having. please ensure the device has an adequate charge level (above 50% ideally). There is a slight variance in coil manufacturing, so it's possible the ohms of the coils are slightly lower than listed and would require more power than typically recommended.

The charge was up above 50%. Thanks for the insight, the resistance reported by the device is a bit lower about 0.2Ω than specified. I must admit that my benchmark for the "proper" taste is a pod device with 0 settings, where everything is factory adjusted for the best result. And I'm not an experienced user, the Kroma Z is my first adjustable device. I'm not being critical, just looking for the best possible vaping experience. So the 0.3Ω and 1Ω coils tick all the boxes and the recommended wattage is working great, I start with the low and when the taste starts to fade I up the watts a bit.

For other coils Ill try a juice that has a taste that is too strong for me, too sweet mainly, It might just be that the 0.8Ω coil will make it better tasting. Ill report back :)
