Yeah. I don't think I'm going to pull the trigger, if that's the case. They either need to break out a smaller size at the $25 price point, or reduce how much liquid they put into the boxes. I go through a lot of juice, but even with the standard box, I think I'd end up with a shelf full of bottles in 6 months, even if I LIKE all that I get.

If they'd do one-time purchases, I might go for a box once in a while, but $25 a month is pushing it, when I'm going to be buying my all day flavors elsewhere. Higher than that, nope.

It's working exactly like any other start up model. Go look at kickstarter - very limited run at barely over cost, next run is below retail but still at a discount, and then full production is at retail.

Kickstarter is a bunch of people donating money and crossing their fingers in hopes that the money donated is used for the purpose it is intended to be used for after it meets the funding with 0 guarantee there will even be any return at all...

Zamplebox is a monthly juice subscription service.

Besides, an early member should still be an early member even if they are nearly switching nic levels. Now if they were adding another subscription I could understand that 2nd sub not being grandfathered in but switching nic lvls? If I were one of those wanting to be grandfathered at 18 I'd mention that the varying nic lvl Nov box was switched to 6mg on them without notification. Not everyone uses Facebook.

It's a perfectly fair comparison - we're part of a test to see if this is a financially viable model. How do you think things got started before kickstarter?

As far as nic levels go, there was nowhere was nowhere in my application saying that I was guaranteed anything other than a minimum of ten bottles totaling 100ml. As someone who does DIY, I know that tripling your nic content doubles the cost of your unflavored base, though anybody with access to the right sites and a calculator can figure that out. I think $5 more is reasonable for triple the nicotine - it was stated that the purpose of buying the box is to sample things you might want to buy in larger quantities.

If $25 for 50ml is too much money and too much liquid, go halves with a buddy. Divvy up flavors you both like into old bottles.

My first box. For the liquids that are not sold in the same sizes as what's in the box, we'll divide the price to match the lower volume (which is less than what they would cost if the size was sold). We're also going to ignore any shipping costs, as obviously ordering from a dozen vendors would raise the overall shipping significantly versus the one shipping fee from zample, and shipping varies from location to location. You could have also picked these flavors up at a B&M.

Keep in mind this value would be higher if the vendors offered these size bottles because they would cost more than the reduced value of the larger size.

Now some of the numbers are a little off because the correct bottle sizes are not available. Let's say shipping costs $10 from Zample. That brings the golden box to $55, a little more than half of our $92.52 total. $55 WITH shipping. Now add the cost of your gas and or shipping from multiple vendors to the $92.52 and see how much it goes up. Now if you are going to get all of these flavors you would either need to order them in bigger bottles or get sampler packs if the vendor offers them, then you're spending more money to sample the same set of flavors.

It is one huge deal, do the math.

It's only a "huge deal" if you like the liquids enough to pay those asking prices. Tobacco flavors, for instance, are worth 0 to me, because I just don't care for tobacco in general. There's a few other flavor categories that I know I just don't care for either. I don't feel "Pot luck" can be valued at full retail pricing.

I can order liquid I know I like from my favorite vendor at just under 50 cents a ml including shipping. Anything over that same 50 cents a ml (shipped) for "pot luck" flavors isn't going to be worth it to me on an ongoing basis. Especially if I can't get my preferred 12mg strength. ("Eventually" was the answer I got when I asked them about 12mg).

This is my thought process. Say you spend the 50+ for the gold box get your box and detest all of them now your out 50+ just for curiosity. Cheaper to just add something new once or twice a month and call it your curiosity budget

Actually, they have posted on FB pictures of the factory where the workers are filling the pouches and the boxes - Tony is not doing these boxes alone.

They've sold hundreds of boxes each month and sold out the first two months. I can't imagine him doing this on his own. This month, they are projecting over 1000 boxes.

I know you're being sarcastic, but I don't really understand all the current hating on Zamplebox. If you don't want to subscribe, don't. If you don't like what you see, then go buy your juice elsewhere. Me, I'm having a perfectly great time getting a surprise box every month. And yes, it sucks that the price is going up, but maybe they're getting higher prices from the vendors because of their sudden changes in nic. It sounds like having nic choice wasn't in their original business plan or contract with the vendors. They have to have some incentive for keeping people on as subscribers - it doesn't help their business outlook to have people dropping in and out vs. having a guaranteed monthly subscription - that helps them plan for the next month.

Either way, if you're interested in them or are a current fan, check out their facebook - they actively post good information about the company as it progresses. Tony is very transparent about what goes on in this fledgling company. No need for all the skepticism, IMO.

Not sure why your taking such offense to a moment that was just a joke.
As far as your comments about don't like what you see or don't like the idea how bout understanding that these people are skeptical at the new price point and have their comments but for the most part are trying to understand said fledgling company. So instead of just throwing them off the pile how bout treating people with some respect even if your opinion differs:banghead:

Hmm.. I hope I get it now. Kinda wanna try it. The Clever Vape flavor I got was Hapaya (Papaya n peach) and it was probably my favorite in the Dec box followed CLOSELY buy Dolly's Blue Ribbon from Rocket Fuel. I'll be ordering bottles of these soon enough.

If you do get it, I think it might be a long steeper - towards the end of the tank, I was getting hints of anise, and I'm not sure what else. Don't think I'll touch it for a while though.

I contacted them and received a quick reply stating that yes I would have to start a new plan at the new price since 18mg costs more to them. Im fine with it. I made a new account. Shipping seems to have gone down in price. I was charged 26$ (27?) for December and 30$ for January. Not a big deal since I can actually use up the 18mg bottles.

For the price it's much better than me buying from random sites, paying shipping up the wazoo. With zamplebox I can just buy my main juices and if I like a zamplebox juice, add it to my list when I make purchases. In December I think I bought from 7 different companies (plus zamplebox). Just the shipping charges from those other places pay for a zamplebox subscription.
