I recently purchased a z atty pro for my provari mini and here's my dilemma. My first impression was I wasted money because a v2 analog alike could produce more vapor. I did some research before I bought it and watched a couple YouTube videos. I understand there's some break in time for the wick and I adjusted the coils with a toothpick. I even tilt it so the juice will wick. I've tried vaping from 2.5 all the way to 5 and I just can't cet good vapor and it tastes like ..... I only filled the tank with a heavy vg juice and I'm wondering if that's the problem and should switch to a lighter vg content or I'm doing something wrong. So if there's any die hard zenisis users out there please enlighten me.

I feel your pain - I jumped on the genesis band wagon 1 month into vaping with an AGA-T+ - bought a 12x12 of mesh, 100 ft of kanthal, 20 ft of ss cable, devoted about 80 hours to trying to get it to work the way everybody says it should work and now I can say without a doubt - wait for it - wait, ok - they SUCK - they leak if it is not kept upright, the few coils that did seem to work would only work for 1 tank and then the first vape after filling it up would pop the coil so now I just stick with protanks because huge clouds of vapor mean nothing to me - I vape purely for the flavor which is just as good in a protank as a genny. The vapors that have to blow HUGE clouds with subohm coils running at 20-30 watts on their mech mods I believe do it purely to shock non-smokers and new vapors (anything over 8 watts tastes like burnt dog poo to me) - this does not impress anyone who is trying to keep vaping rights out of the governments hands and unregulated by the FDA and not controlled by big tobacco

There are a lot of vapors that feel that you cannot get the true effect of vaping unless you spend huge amounts of money on equipment and have the most complicated set up available - these people are like this because they cannot find anyone to play dungeons and dragons with them in their mothers basement or they are waiting to get their Corvette/Mercedes SLS AMG/Aston-Martin/Monster truck to get out of the shop after cruising the local college campus for co-eds who believe the length of their thumb is 11 inches and crashed into someone because they could not see out of the windshield due to huge clouds of vapor

they should just get a Legal Vape 4000 and be done with it

Sorry to rant on your thread

This is my personal opinion - go ahead and rip me apart - I will be back after I take my medication

Don't give up on Gennys, folks. I always knew they weren't going to be my "go to" device but I have a few because I like tinkering with stuff. I don't like anything that I have to keep upright...but for nights or weekends I love them. They can and will produce a fantastic vape. Huge learning curve, though. After many failed attempts at conventional builds, I tried the "Petar K" method. You wrap the coil around a drill bit installed in the device, adjust it on the bit, remove the bit then pulse the mech to oxidize it. Then slide in a wick and fire it to oxidize the wick. My first build worked perfectly....
I don't like using stainless steel as a wick anymore. I build the coil the same way but slide in a small piece of rolled cotton into the hole. It makes an automatic dripper....works great! Don't give up on them, just have another device set up so you can vape while you're playing with it. Watch lots of videos and you'll get it. It really is a great vape, but if you don't like fiddling, it may not be your thing. Good Luck!

I own a few pro tanks and love them for their simplicity and reliability. If I wanted huge clouds I'd build a dual coil in my trident. But I just thought the z atty had so much more to offer.

It does have so much more to offer...it's just a bit of practice getting there. I'm not a cloud chaser...I like vapor as much as the next guy but I'm more interested in flavor and a smooth vape. Gennys put out a lot of vapor when built correctly...but the flavor is fantastic. Keep trying, you'll eventually love it. I generally use a kayfun or carto tanks for all day stuff, but Gennys are pretty nice to use when I'm kicking back.
