Hello, this is my first post, so I had to do it here lol. I just recently received a Zen Mini and am having a few issues with it. I have a properly cut and oxidized 325 wick, a 5-wrap coil, and am using fresh batteries. However, even after a day of use, I am still only getting very anemic wisps of vapor and little to no flavor.

Cigarbabe has checked my coil to make sure it is not shorting or has hot spots, and advised that I post a question to see if anyone else was having the same issues. I had to do it here since I didn't have enough posts to ask in the official forum lol.

I have tried 50/50 and 70/30 vg/pg juices, and get the same results. I have the air hole over the wick, and am taking the very slow draws as recommended. About one in every 5-10 draws results in a good vape. Any other time, I either get very little or nothing at all. I have noticed that my juice is turning extremely dark even after a day.

This is my first go at a rebuildable, and would greatly appreciate any advice.

Thank you most kindly,

Eagleklaw/Twygg

a buddy of mine has a zenisis and a zen mini, and the battery life sucks on them that might be the problem your running into. another problem i noticed is that sometimes when pushing the button it will randomly cut off and on.

are all your coils lighting up? i just got a zen atty and my first day with it really sucked and i was disappointed until i re did everything and now it hits beautifully. zens have to break in a little bit and it has to be set just right. just rebuild it again the material to maintain it are dirt cheap

Thanks y'all. Arh32, I am using 325 stainless steel mesh with .32 kanthal wire. Meli, I have been vaping for almost 3 years, and have read the ECF many times over the years, I have just never gotten around to posting LOL. Thanks for the welcome. =)

Spookyo, I am having the same problem with the battery cutting on and off. It seems like you have to hit that one sweet spot in order to get it to fire properly. All of my coils light up, with no hot spots. The wick is drawing juice up nicely. The only thing I have noticed is the top cap gets very hot.
