Been searching looking for the threads that have the tank measurements. I'm probably being a big dummy but every search keeps coming up empty handed. Do they have the specs anywhere on their actual websites cause I don't see it there either. Anyone feel like going above and beyond and linking thread or giving exact name of thread where the tank specs are mentioned?

I'm pretty sure my tank is fine (judging from other pics) but confirmation would be nice either way. Good evening all!

So, I finally got my dx 350 working somewhat how it should have out of the box. I say somewhat because it still doesnt hit as good as my cheapy chichi mod. It's close, but voltage drop is still higher in my dx.

Anyway, i sanded the gold plated bottom screw to make it flat. It revealed the ss of the screw. Right away, i saw a difference in vapor. Which is quite funny since gold is supposed to conduct much better than ss. then, i sanded the top screw's part that touches the atty (i left the top of the screw that touches te positive part of the batt) since it has ridges and makes very little contact to my atty. and i changed my spring to SS (didnt see a difference). It now hits close to my cheapy mod.

For 110, i was expecting something to work out of the box. No modifying or fiddling needed. Atm, im still waiting for my brass screws to arrive.

Im sorry if youre a zen fan and in love with yours, or your opinion is completely opposite from mine, but this is my opinion. And honestly, the dx is not something i would ever recommend, especially to my friends.

Once again, my 2 cents.

There seems to be a problem with the newer springs. Contact Jason at ENS and he will help you out.

I have to admit that I don't get all the love for the Zen products. It's been my single experience that quality control and vaping performance must not be high on their list of achievement goals.

I picked up a Sidewinder with the 510 connector from ElectronicStix last month. The SW as it was delivered wouldn't work; it turns out that it was missing the bottom plate screw that connects to the spring on the switch tube. Without the screw, there was no way current would flow to the 510 connector.

It took a couple of weeks but did finally get the missing part. Now I find that I get a really mediocre vape on the SW compared to my other mechanicals. I did some testing and have discovered that the SW provides significantly lower voltage to the devices. Compared to a Nemesis using the same battery and the same attys with differing resistances, the SW delivers on average 0.7V lower power. I get better performance out of my clones for a lot less money, and the Nemesis blows it away.

So can someone educate me on what is supposed to be so sweet about the Zenesis'? I was so looking forward to using his mod.

I also bought zen products,
was very disappointed with how they performed relative to how much they cost
and would never recommend any zen products to anyone ever.

I think the main selling points of zen products are "be part of the zenfidel family" and "feel good about buying made in USA products"
anyone remotely concerned about VALUE and PERFORMANCE, stay far away from zen products, there are FAR better options.

I don't mean to start an argument but I couldn't disagree more with this statement. I own several Zenesis devices and am totally satisfied with both the build quality and performance. In fact the only ones that I had to even tinker with we're the anodized ones and even they were a easy fix. I have owned and used other high end mechanical APV's and never noticed that much of a difference in the vape that I get.

I'm sorry that some of you are having issues with your Zen's and hope you can get them resolved.

I spent some time today on the phone with Zen himself. I believe that he has got a good handle on what is causing the degraded power output on my Sidewinder.

I now have a much higher degree of confidence that a fix is available, plus I learned much from talking with Zen. From a personal perspective with him, I now better understand the Zenesis mystique.

I will come back and provide an update when this is resolved.

Totally agree Ksmith... only issues with any of my Zen's came from my own user ineptness. Once i stopped being a dolt they worked great, and they ALL vape just as well or better than all my other devices...im no vaping spring chicken either. Zen's functionality design is not the same as everyone else's, so equating them one to one on every single aspect is not always the best. Which is why all i do is compare based on the quality of the vape, not measurements and readings. Am i better for doing that? No, but i do understand the design of Zen's products and why he made some of the choices he made are. I try to do as much research before i buy or use anything, i suggest anyone else do the same with Zen's products as well as any other maker's works.

And i agree, i hope all of you having issues get them solved!

To be honest I was very disappointed when I got my DX-490. I have 4 other mechanicals, so I do know how they should work. AND, trying to rub two pieces of SS together ain't it! I also found the lack of proper venting in case there was ever a problem appalling. The irony is that all these problems have easy fixes.
A simple hot spring from Altsmoke eliminated the need to rock-twist and turn the button trying to get a connection. Cutting slots in the surface that the connection screw & washer rest on insures that hot gases can escape from the battery chamber.

And then there is that battery rattle!!!

Everyone has their own opinions. sorry you don't like it. I have ZERO issue with how Zen's stuff comes out of the box. I get a great vape and consistent performance.

Talk with Zen if you would like explanations on your issues. He made all his choices knowingly, and has owned up to any imperfections he has made.

I won't speak on any of your issues, because they are just that, your issues (maybe others too, but that is still on you and those others.)

I won't sit here and agree that your issues are a larger dilemma or indicative of problems inherent to all.

If you dont like it, then maybe it isnt for you. That isn't a jab or anything negative, just a fact. There are plenty of other mods out there. There is not one set of specifications and design choices satisfy everyone.

My Zen stuff works great for me, i know plenty others who feel the same. You are not satisfied, and maybe plenty of others feel the same as you. That is just how things go.

I do highly recommend contacting Zen, he can very easily talk on all your concerns.

Thing is I did open a ticket at ENS, and BTW Jason & I have been friends for a long time now, and I was in the store just today talking with Jerrod & Robin.
All I got for my trouble of opening a ticket was "how are you pushing the switch?", and then a long dissertation of how I need to hold my left .... cheek with one hand while pushing the button with the other (pun).
Well that is simply not an acceptable fix for a faulty switch! I fixed mine by buying a spring from another source that I knew would work ... I should not have had to do that! That's the type of QC that we expect from Sigelei not Zen.

To be honest about it, I make these posts because Mike needs some constructive criticism at this point. There are simple issues with his newer products that should have been resolved pre-production. Excuses after production are just that .... excuses.
