I went down to my old shop and made a new spring for it.

    Original spring with no load

    under load with 1.7ohm coil

under load with 0.9ohm coil (4.6 amps)

Still a half volt loss, but that's about what I expected with a sub ohm coil with a SS switch.

OH, and because I made a conical spring (12mm od bottom coil, 6mm id top coil) the switch could care less about how I push it.

    Evening ZENfits
So I'm just sitting in my bedroom on my bed vaping my ZEN~2 Gen. 18350 and I feel what I thought was a coil pop.... Then I notice my tank leaking all over my bed and I and seen this ^^ :(
I'm a Pluidaholic but I never heard of it breaking a ZEN~ tank. I've never dropped nor tilt over on the table at any time. I vape my Noble1 as my EDV and this is my bed side enjoyer so it only seats in the wooden holder it came in and my hand :)

Maybe the pluid swelled the orings enough to cause it to break but its doubtful. Crazy never had a issue with pluid

That is a very good possibility. I have heard of this happening before with the IHybrids when people used pluid but this is the first time I've seen this happen in a Zen. I've seen pictures of the orings after several tanks and they were about 2 sizes bigger than a new one.

    Hey all,
So I'm trying really hard to like my Zen2 but... A couple things I've noticed.
(By the way, I am comparing this to my Zen Atty U)

The top post is higher = coil can't go straight out to my wick. It has to bend down immediately and then start wrapping. I get VERY troublesome hot spots between post and wick if I have to do this. If I make my wick as tall as my positive post screw, then try to put on my cap = it crushes the wick down. Is this supposed to be normal? Pics down below.

I'm trying hard to like this hybrid.

    1. Button - hand feel and use is wonky and stiff. Set it on a flat surface and the device leans/rocks.
    2. Device is massive compared to size of the battery. (Compare it to a Paps for example and you'll see what I mean)
    3. Fill hole is too small. VG needle that works with ZAU doesn't fit Zen2.
    4. Positive post is too high. If wick is same height as post = wick crushed by cap.
    5. Battery rattle. I mean. I've got high end mods and used a handful of cheaper ones that friends have... this is the only one that rattles out of the box. (I know the batt rattle thing can be a touchy subject and honestly I grew to not mind it. but... like... add it to the other stuff on the list and its just kind of like... really? AND the battery rattles? Maybe I'm just part of a minority of vapers who think a rattling battery is super outdated?)

So anyway. If my positive post is just like defective or something and I can get a replacement or if I can adjust it myself some how and get the wick crushing thing figured out then great. At least if I can get a steady vaping experience from it I can overlook the rest of the dislikes I have about it. If its supposed to be this way and I'm supposed to find some way to maximize its performance the way it is then fine... I just won't like it then and I'll have to come to terms with that. I really want to like it as much as my ZAU and my DIDs and of course my other mods but so far... :/

Anyone got any pointers about this center post/wick crushing issue? (Apologies if anyone else has already mentioned this. I admit I have not read through this thread. Also, maybe I'm just a big dummy and its totally operator error?)

I would like to take it apart. Dismantling the base puts me off. Until someone else shows how or I grow a pair I'm not gonna even attempt. I doubt there is a spring in there though. No point in having one (spring that is) since nothing appears to be adjustable.

Still no info from anyone on if my Zen2 post is normal? I know it's Saturday morning but not all the Zen fans can be hung over :)

I would definitely contact Jason on the positive post issue. I would not try taking it apart or try adjusting it. That would void the warranty. The zens are not the smallest mod and that's weird that yours leans when you set it down. Maybe contact Jason at ENS on that too. The battery issue is a safety feature. It drives me nuts as well and I just use a old tank oring on my switch.

Email Jason he will take care of you.
