Ive got one of these and I know a bunch of folks have got them too, because they are sold out everywhere.
Im curious what folks think about this mod.
Frankly Im disappointed...
No floating positive pin. Huh? On top of that the screw that is the positive pin has uneven threads that looks like it was driven into the insulator (not machined). All the issues with the top cap causes the telescoping pin to sit at an angle. My RDAs dont sit flush without pushing the top cap insulator out.. It just doesnt make sense?
My switch started sticking in the fire position a couple days after I got it...and I barely used it, because I was so disappointed with the design.
The brass sleeve eh? not my cup of tea, but I knew what I was getting into with that one.
All the issues also make for a really tight connection with the battery..you really dont have control over how tight you squeeze on the battery because of the design, which makes me uneasy.
Anyway... The Zenith is one of my favorite RDAs and is built very well. Based on its reputation I took the pre-order plunge for the Zephyr. At 250 dollars I expected perfection. I was super excited for this mod. I feel taken advantage of.
Another 250 atomizer stand... (my other one is my panzer blackhawk..horrible voltage drop..but thats another story)
Anyone got thoughts?
Ive sent mine back for 'evaluation' with the distributer. Hopefully something good comes out of it... truth be told, I dont think its possible because these are design flaws, not manufacturing flaws...
