I bought a Zeus x tank around 3 weeks ago. I've had no problems with it but a few days ago, it started leaking from the airflow. I opened it up to check for any problems but everything seems to be in order. Even the O rings seem perfectly intact. I'm relatively new to vaping in general but I don't think that this particular tank should be leaking when it's tilted since the airflow is on the top. I'm confused as to where the problem could be from so if anyone can help, I would be forever grateful.

Hello @Shahad Ibrahim, could you please tell us the ID of your coils please?

I'm sorry but as I said, I'm new to the vaping community. So I'm not really that familiar with the terminology. But I assume that ID stands for "Inner Diameter". If that's the case then my coil is 3mm.

There are several things that it could be, it's just most likely to be your wicking. It's a process of elimination.
But I'm pretty sure it's not the wicking tho since I even tried to use the premade wick that came with the tank
Remember doing the wrong thing multiple times doesn't necessarily make it not wrong. ;)

"The content of the tank is a column of juice suspended above a wick, which acts as a conduit to the coil. The flow resistance of the wick material and the negative pressure above the liquid at the top of the tank are the forces that prevent the juice from simply pouring out the bottom."

So if there is a sealing issue at the top of the tank, this will allow air to enter and equalize the slight negative pressure in the airspace above the juice. You will get leaks.
Check and possibly replace your o-rings.

If the wicks are not dense enough, or are not long enough to sufficiently cover the juice conduits at the bottom of the tank, you will get leaks.
Increase the wick density, slightly lengthen the wicks and ensure they are completely covering/sealing the juice flow holes at the bottom of the tank.

safe distance from a black hole
With the Zeus X if the wicks touch the inside of the chamber or are even a little too close you can end up with flooding issues.
I just push the wicks as close to the deck as I can. Once I started making sure the wicks were away from the walls of the inside chamber I have never had any kind of gurgling or flooding issue with it. Up until that point I tried many different wicking techniques etc, now that I know what the problem is it doesnt seem to matter about the wick too much so long as it doesnt touch or get to close to the chamber walls.
ymmv.

@sonicbomb – well said :thumb:

@Shahad Ibrahim – you mentioned the tank worked perfectly for 3 weeks, who performed that initial wick? If it was you, try and remember exactly how you did this. If it was someone else, store, friend etc, perhaps consult with them for assistance. If it was someone else, observe and take notes for future reference.

Failing that, this is a pretty popular tank – there are many reviews and few build tutorials on YouTube that you can reference.
