Zmax V2 reverts to "average" setting when changing batteries?

Hi all;

I've noticed that every time I swap batteries in my Zmax (purchased recently) that it resets back to average from RMS. I searched the forums a few different ways and didn't see this topic come up... is this normal?

(I can live with it, but it caught me by surprise at first.)
