ok. I figured out the screen change, it's longer than 5 seconds per dna's instructions. I'll see what electronix stix has to say. I'm thinking my unit was heavily qc'd. I will note that I can press the hump of my switch and the zna will still fire. I remember seeing a youtube video where the person could only press the very bottom to make it fire.

Fellow ZNA owners:
Starting April 11, 2014 the ZNA will begin shipping with a fully adjustable 510 connector featuring solid copper contacts. Prior units can be upgraded for a small charge.

Saweeet! This will be great when it hits. Hopefully no sparse supply like the ZNA itself!

My ZNA has arrived from electronicstix. It's a mixed bag in terms of how happy I am. One thing I've noticed is that left hand mode doesn't work. I'm left handed, so it's kind of a bummer. I can activate left hand mode, but nothing changes. Also included in my ZNA was a handwritten note that says "replaced switch and tested to bring up to current spec" Is this a refurb, or return? Serial#873.

They gave you an answer on the ElectroNicStix Facebook page:
ElectroNicStix.Com When that PV came to our warehouse, there was a small flaw on one of the buttons. We had sent it back in to get replaced selling.

what are some good flat top batteries to purchase for this device (18490)?
An answer on the ElectroNicStix Facebook page:

Just though you all would like to know, I tried a sony VTC4 30 amp 650 batt in my ZNA and it worked. I was under the impression that no flat top batteries would be compatible with the ZNA due to the safety block around the positive post but in fact the sony VTC4 at least does work. I'm now getting full day power at 30 watts from just two to three of them. With the 1600mah AW's I was having to swap every 1 - 2 hours.

Riverboat will stick to the AW 18650 2000 mAh IMR for the time being...

I received an update from Electronicstix about the note that came with my ZNA. Their response, "When that PV came to our warehouse, there was a small flaw on one of the buttons. We had sent it back in to get replaced selling." I have to take them at their word.

My ZNA which went back to HoH, allows use of flat top batteries. This is a good thing, as I can utilize my sony's and pretty much any battery I want. I realize I just have to be mindful about inserting the battery correctly, which I always am.

ZNA

it's a whole new top cap then?

I hope it's a whole new 510 top cap...I don't want down time sending my current cap in to be modified.. Zen should of setup the non adjustable 510 cap so that a regular 510 atomizer would sit flush, that's the usual starting point.. Since my HH357's don't sit flush it is easy to over tighten to stop wobble.. I have already ruined one HH @ $25 it is costly..:( I do plan on getting a Link RDA for my ZNA...I haven't heard any feedback about the device yet. Link RDA reviews ???

As Mike said the reverse protection, safety block or whatever you wanna call it was supposed to be the delring ring at positive connection, nothing to do with the bottom cap. The hole in the bottom spring is not small enough to allow a nipple top to go through without connecting.

Problem is that it seems most everyone's ZNA positive pin sticks out enough for a flat top to work and not protect against a reverse, no matter what battery they are using. If flat tops actually didn't work, and everyone was really forced to use nipple tops, then a negative connection also wouldn't work and there wouldn't be frying boards.

I do like the option of using flat tops someday but I think it I will stick with the AW nipple tops because they do reduce the risk of confusing the direction. I am super careful anyway, I have heard of at least 3 people fry the ZNA with a reverse, two were in a rush, one was in a dark car so that's on them obviously, but two of them were using AW nipple tops, one was using sony flats.

LOL. Sorry to giggle but man you have to wait or find someone on the board or somewhere else who's willing to sell you one. HoH just can't poop 'em out. Takes time to build the device. They go really, really fast. If you check back in the threads you'll find that the best way to up your chance of getting one is to watch the ENS Facebook page (I don't do FB, it creeps me out, but you can view the webpage in a browser without being logged in). When the guys at ENS say their gonna put some up start F5'ing the ZNA page at ENS like a big dog. It took me two tries but I got lucky on the second batch they put up for sale. Be determined. Be patient. "Good things come to those who wait".

The delrin piece works in my ZNA. Flat tops just won't connect. Period. Don't really care if they do or not. Good batteries of all types are pretty easy to get a hold of.
