I always thought that " Root Beer" was just a flavor that was added to carbonated soda!
Tell me more about the differences between flavors and beverages!

Mmmmhhhh.... Sassafras and/or anise extracts are the flavorings. Root beer by definition actually is a beverage. "Root" describes the type of beer it is. And we can't deny that beer is a beverage.
