I’m very excited today to present to you a review on the BP Mods AmpBB boro mod that was sent to me by Sourcemore in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. It’s rather refreshing to take a break from pod and disposable reviews for a change. The AmpBB is a rather odd looking boro style mod compared to others that I own or have seen. It has a 2000mah rated internal Lipo battery that has a fast charging rate of 2A/5V. It has a maximum output of 60 watts with an independent real boost chipset. It comes with lots of accessories and has light rods that are modeled after amplifier tubes to project light up on the front of the mod. It has a couple of cool features that I’ll cover later in detail but for now let’s take a look at what’s included in the kit and view some promotional images.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the AmpBB is pretty much classic BP Mods packaging that I’ve seen many times in the past as I’ve reviewed many BP Mods devices through my review connection in the past with Dovpo but their marketing department has decided to stop responding to emails so I was fortunate enough to receive this sample from Sourcemore and am appreciative of their generosity.

The orange BP Mods box has a sleeve on the outside that has the AmpBB and DACBB names on it and states that it’s the Luxury Edition. As far as I know there isn’t a different kit available that isn’t Luxury Edition. The back side of the sleeve has a contents list, some features, an authenticity code, and company information.

Once opened you are greeted by an information card that starts out by talking about the designer Shane and his inspiration for the design. Also on that same side are the operating instructions and an accessory list with images. The opposite side explains the anti-condensate pads, the flush nut spanner, and suggests DIY with the spare light tubes included in the accessory pack.

The DACBB kit included in the kit comes with three drip tips, a flush nut that fits 510 tips, and a knurled adapter that fits the three included tips. I prefer using my own 510 tips but did snap a couple pictures with the adapter so you could see how it looks. Depending on the color version you pick then you get different colored tips. The gunmetal version comes with black tips while the silver version comes with white tips. I received the silver version for my review.

Also included in the kit there are two spare flush nut spanners just like the one that is magnetically attached to the front of the mod. To me this is really a brilliant design idea. I always have to dig for a tool to tighten the nuts on my boro mods or use an integrated tip instead. In the picture below you can see I have removed the spanner to show the writing underneath that says BP Mods and Designed by. The spanner is held on very securely with a magnetic connection and as I mentioned, just in case you lose one there are two spares included in the kit. Each of the three has a different design on it.

The front of the AmpBB has the fire button near the top where the opening for the boro tank begins. Below that is a small rectangular window that is lit when the fire button is pressed. Under that is a larger clear window where you can see some IC chips on the board underneath. This area is also lit when the fire button is pressed thanks to the light rods underneath that run up from the bottom to the upper small window. The lights aren’t just on and off but slowly fade after releasing the fire button.

In the second picture below you can see the anti-condensate pad that is pre-installed around the contact center pin that makes contact with the boro tank of your choice since there is not a tank included. There are extra pads included but the pads are washable but they don’t recommend using an ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning them.

The display screen for the AmpBB is very small and located on the back of the mod near the top. Just below the screen are the – and + buttons. The only things shown on the display are the set wattage or power, coil resistance, and voltage. No puff counter on this one. The wattage is adjusted in .1 watt increments but can be fast scrolled. To turn the mod on you press the fire button 5X. Three presses of the fire button will bring up the simplistic menu. The options in the menu are as follows.

The LED function allows you to adjust the intensity of the light on the front. If you turn it all the way down then it turns the LED light off completely which is how I ended up running the mod. I’m not a huge fan of LED lighting on mods but it is there if that’s something that you like. The USB-C fast charging port is located on the side of the mod.

The AmpBB does not come with a boro tank in the kit so this is something to keep in mind if you are thinking of buying one. I have a handful of different boro tanks and bridges. I thought it was only fitting to use the BP Mods TMD Boro Tank that I received from a review that I did for Dovpo some time ago. It seemed like a good match and worked flawlessly during my time testing the mod.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

It has been very enjoyable testing the BP Mods AmpBB boro mod. I had kind of stepped away from boro mods for a while after purchasing and testing several different ones. The AmpBB is very compact which is nice in my opinion. It’s like a square tube mod. I like that it is open with no door or cover on the sides or front. It’s been my experience that most doors or covers just draw condensation and need constant wiping. I don’t have one but read that the Ethos boro tank will also work in the AmpBB since it is open on the sides as well as being able to use most boro tanks that I am aware of.

During my time testing the AmpBB it worked flawlessly. It seemed to fire quickly with now power drop even when the Lipo battery got low. The fast charging of the 2000mah battery should give a full charge in about an hour. The coil in the TMD tank I used ran well at 33 watts and the battery seemed to last a long time.

I very much like the design where the spanner tool is attached to the front of the mod magnetically so you don’t have to search for a tool. They even took into consideration that one might lose the tool despite the magnetic connection being so strong and included two spare tools. They also made the design on each of the three different so you can somewhat customize the appearance.

Overall I was very pleased with the AmpBB. The only complaint I have is that the back corners of the mod are a little sharp when you are holding it and the lighted windows are facing you. I feel like these would have been better off tapered and given the mod a better hand feel.

Design
The design of the device is very colorful. Displaying the flavor of your device with certain colors. The device has a boxy and square shape. It's pretty big compared to other disposables I've had, but with 18ml and 10.000 puffs, that's not weird at all. At the top of the device is a little ring to attach your lanyard to if that's the style you like. At the front is some branding, the flavor of the device and the display and button are also on the front, bottom right. On the bottom of the device is your airflow control and USB-C port. Over the colorful device is placed a transparent glassy looking plastic cover.





Performance
The performance of the device is really good. I haven’t been with any of these devices long enough to know if they actually will get to the 10.000 puffs, but it does seem like it. Even if one of them were to die on me, I am not one to count puffs, so I would never know exactly. It does seem to be significantly bigger than disposables that claim about 5.000 puffs, so in that aspect it could very well be accurate that it’s 10.000 puffs.
What makes this device standout mostly is the screen on the front of the device. When you take a puff, it shows you how much juice is left in the device, starting at 100%. After a second it shows you the battery percentage that’s left, but it’s rechargeable. So it’s logical that the battery is gonna be lower than the juice that’s left at first, especially after the first few charges.
When you press the button below the screen, the device shows you the wattage it's on. When you press it again, you can change the wattage. You can change it to anything between 11 and 15 watts. Because of the high nic levels of 50mg I mostly kept it at 11-12 watts. I did notice I could get a little more flavor at higher watts, but I also noticed when I had it at 15 watts and took long drags it could get a slightly burnt flavor, so I stayed away from that.
The option to adjust the airflow is also always a welcome addition, so you can easily switch between loose and tight MTL and even with the airflow all the way open an RDL hit. I noticed I like it best with the airflow all the way open.
The 1.0ohm mesh coil that is in the device gives a very smooth and soft draw. You barely notice that it has high nic amounts, which is good, but can also be a little scary.




Flavors
For now there are at least 15 flavors to choose from for the OXBAR Magic Maze.
I got 5 flavors for my review and I'll tell you a little bit about all of them:

• Pink Burst Chew

This flavor was by far my favorite. I can't exactly tell what it's based on, but it reminds me of candy I used to love as a kid. It's very sweet and unlike a lot of disposable vapes I've tried before, there is no ice flavor added to it. It can be annoying to have every disposable filled with ice, but OXBAR seems to have finally stepped away from that.

• Fruity Pebz

This one has the sweetest flavor out of the 5 flavors that I got. It reminds me of a bag of skittles, even with the colors on the device, but especially from the flavor.

• Watermelon Skittlz

Immediately when you take a hit from this one, your mouth gets filled with that watermelon flavor. It's a little bit sweeter than when you get vapejuice with just watermelon flavor, so I would assume that's why they added the "Skittlz" in the name for this flavor.

• Fruit Paradise

This one has that typical exotic fruit flavor. All mixed flavors from different fruits that make out a very nice blend. This was the only one for me that had a little bit of an ice kick in the flavoring.

• Razz Pineapple

I was a bit wary to try this one myself, as I don't like the flavor of the actual pineapple fruit. Because of that I kept putting off trying this one. That's why this one was the last one I tried, but I was honestly pleasantly surprised. That artificial pineapple flavor was prominent, but the tiny kick of sweetness from the raspberry comes through right after that.

Overall, all of these flavors make me happy. I did notice I grabbed the Pink Burst Chew the most, so that really is my favorite, but when I want a change in flavor, I'd honestly grab any of them. I think the average disposable vaper would be content with all of the flavors that OXBAR provides for these Magic Maze vapes.

Verdict
Honestly the device feels very durable in hand. I’ve already dropped some of them a few times, because I’m a clutz, but they hold up! Besides the high nic amounts and the disposable batteries, there aren't really any bad things to mention about this device. The feature to adjust your wattage and airflow are always welcome additions, even in disposables. The flavor in these devices is definitely immaculate, even when the battery is low. When making a disposable vape, it seems best to get as much juice and puffs in there, cause the battery is gonna be disposed of either way, and that seems to be something OXBAR has taken into consideration very well. I would really recommend this device to anyone who uses disposable vapes or is looking for something easy and simple to use to start out vaping.

Not sure how many years ago I got the Billow 2 but since I decided I liked it I stocked up on replacement tanks and O-rings etc..
Finally after about 6 years (?) it was starting to short out sometimes or the mod would misread the ohms. So I swapped the deck with the new one and all seems to work fine again. I guess the insulators eventually break down.

I am currently using Brunhilde MTL and cloned Kayfun lite 2019 tanks. Would like to to try something new but don’t want fixed air flow as I fluctuate my vape style a bit. Most of the new MTL tanks YouTube reviewers rave about are fixed air flow with control pins. I find that just rewicking and air temperature can change air flow. I live in Canada, so getting tanks from China is easy but not so easy from Europe. Any suggestions?

So I read on reddit that the Vaporesso Xtank pods work in the Swag PX80. I have a PX80 mod but stopped using it because it leaked ALL THE TIME. Can anyone confirm whether or not the Xtank pods will fit, and have a magnetic connection to the PX80? Thank you!

The Journey Classic range is made up of quite a few products, including all sorts of delicious flavours, which I have found to be quite good overall. Pleasant dessert flavours that can be truly enjoyed when steamed.

That's what the manufacturer promises in the description, plus a little extra at the end, which is none other than a squeeze of lemon, which they recommend with your morning coffee. Since I'm not writing this test in the morning, I can't try it with coffee until later, which I'll share with you later.
On the nose, you can smell a creamy vanilla custard that is soft and not too intrusive.
The base flavor will also be vanilla custard, which is creamy and smooth. In this case, you can really tell the flavour is really a real life pudding that you can smell, rather than a fake vanilla that is used in a lot of flavours. The stone fruit is not left out either, on exhale it almost mesmerises the pudding with its slight dryness and flavours of all kinds of seeds. I really get the feeling that it would be perfect as a breakfast flavour to pair with coffee. The lemon promised at the end is really noticeable, with a slight acidity and a pleasant taste of fruit. It just adds a little something extra to the product, making the overall effect even more delicious and dessert-like. Overall, I was "infected" by the creaminess and pleasant intensity of the product.

Hello again folks. I’m back with you today to talk about the new Lost Vape Orion Bar 10000. I was sent an entire gift box containing six of them by Lost Vape in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. The 10000 contains a 650mah internal battery but a charging rate is not listed in the specs so I’ll have to get out the USB current tester and let you know later in the review what rate it charges at. Each one has 20ml of 5 %( 50mg) nicotine and is rated for 10,000 puffs. They make use of a 1.0 ohm mesh coil and have adjustable airflow. There is a small screen that shows the user the remaining liquid and battery percentages.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Orion Bar 10,000 that I received for this review is quite different from what you would receive if you decide to purchase some. Lost Vape was nice enough to send me a very nice and large promotional gift box containing six different OB samples. You can see the six different flavor versions that I received for this review in the third picture below

As is the case normally with most disposables that I have received for testing, they are packaged individually in a cardboard box with just the device contained inside sealed in a plastic and foil envelope. They come with a rubber plug in the mouthpiece and a sticker covering the bottom to prevent any airflow coming through to activate them. Underneath that sticker on the bottom is where you find the USB-C charging port that charges the 650mah internal battery. I have not seen any kind of specification listed on the charging rate so plugged it into my USB current tester. It was reading .6A at 5V which would give a charging rate of a little over an hour if completely dead. Also located on the bottom of each OB 10,000 is a sliding airflow adjuster. It will go from a pretty tight to a very loose MTL. I personally can’t RDL with 50mg nicotine salts. To me it would be nice to have a lower option like maybe 20mg.

The OB 10,000 is made of a clear smooth acrylic on one side with a colorful design underneath. The Lost Vape and Orion Bar names are on one side with the name of the liquid flavor contained inside on the opposite side. The sides that are in line with the mouthpiece have a nice textured feel to them with the Lost Vape name molded into them on both sides.

One thing that sets this one apart from the other disposables that I’ve reviewed is that it has a display screen. The screen shows the battery level and then the percentage of liquid remaining in the disposable. These are the first ones I’ve tested that have had a display on them. It seems as though disposable are becoming more and more like regular pod devices. It would have been nice if there was a puff counter on them but that might be asking too much.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I really appreciate Lost Vape sending the really nice promotional box with six samples for this review. If you’ve read any of my other disposable reviews before then you might remember me complaining about the amount of menthol or cooling agent used in the liquids for disposables. Many of the flavors are quite enjoyable but are sabotaged by too much menthol. The six I received were a mixed bunch of flavors and some of them worked well with the amount of menthol in them and others not so much. I think it might be a combination of the menthol and the 50mg nicotine salts which for me are rather strong. I will give a brief description of each of the flavors.

Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava

The flavor is pretty good on this one but the menthol was just a little too strong for me. It is a little sweet but I taste the sour from the guava. I couldn’t take very long puffs due to the menthol strength.

Raspberry Sour Apple

The menthol on this one didn’t seem as strong as the first one. I really have never been a fan of apple flavored vapes so this one really surprised me. The raspberry does come through on the exhale with the sour of the apple being very evident. It ended up being my favorite out of the six.

Miami Mint

This one is a really nice refreshing sweet peppermint. The menthol is there but compliments the mint without being over powering.

Lush Ice

This one is a sweet watermelon flavor with quite a bit of menthol. It seemed a little too strong on the menthol at first but I became quite fond of this one with a little use.

Blue Razz Ice

With ice in the name I was expecting a really strong menthol on this one. It was kind of strong but not really stronger than most of the others. The flavor is a candied blueberry and raspberry but feel like it would have been better with little or no menthol added.

Strawberry Summertime

I’m not exactly sure on the flavor profile on this one. It’s definitely strawberry dominant but to me almost seems like a strawberry lemonade. The menthol on this one is a little too strong in my opinion.

It’s definitely fun trying all of these different flavors. I like that the display screen was included on this version. Showing the liquid and battery percentages is a really nice feature. With any device whether it’s a disposable or a regular pod device, to me an adjustable airflow control makes or breaks the device for me if the draw is not to my liking. These are obviously auto draw only like every disposable that I’ve tried.

To me the 650mah combined with the 1.0 ohm mesh coil was a great combination for battery longevity. It seemed like the battery lasted a very long time. Part of this might be contributed to by the fact that it contains 50mg liquid. I don’t know about anyone else but I can only stand so much 50mg liquid at a time and between that and the menthol in each I ended up taking fairly short puffs and not to many at a time or the menthol would hurt my throat. I will be honest and say that I have not completely finished any of the samples. For me, 20ml of regular liquid lasts me quite a while and 120ml lasts me forever. I did spend a decent amount of time with each of them to get a good feel for the flavors and performance. They all performed flawlessly during my time testing them.

7. Comments- I researched and found that Nic in bloodstream has a 1/2 life of around an hour
so I've timed it for 1x per hour. For awhile I was vaping every half hour but it's too much
I feel more satisfaction when I wait 45 min to an hour. I also have a Geekvape AP2 but the Vaporesso
just blows it away.
