What good strawberry milk/cream flavors are out there currently? It has been a few years since I've looked for one, but I used to have one (that I no longer recall the name of course) that was so delicious and smooth and it was my ADV, but of course like many others it no longer exists, .

Hello everyone. I’m pleased to be here today with my very first review for JWEI. That name might not sound familiar to most but they are the parent company for some of the very first vaping companies that I remember being on the market when I started vaping back in 2009. Their brands are Joyetech, Eleaf, Wismec, and Joyevita. My very first vape kits were Joyetech 510 cigalikes. Later on I had some of the Eleaf iSticks as a lot of people did. I personally am not as familiar with Wismec but know the name.

Anyway, JWEI was nice enough to send me several different devices in order to provide fair and honest reviews. Today is the first of those reviews where I will do my best to cover the Eleaf FlasQ Pod Mod kit. The FlasQ has an internal 1370mah battery with a charging rate of 5V/1.5A that should be able to charge the battery completely in about an hour. The pod uses replaceable coils and has a 5ml capacity. It uses a dual u-shaped airflow system that promises enhanced flavor. It also has top airflow control to help eliminate any chance of leaking. As you can see below, the shape of the body is modeled after a flask so thus comes the name FlasQ.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

I was not familiar with the packaging for Eleaf products of recent times so was surprised to see the black box with the big green symbol and only a small picture of the device on the front of the box. Most samples I see have either a large picture or drawing of the device on the front of the box. Instead Eleaf has their large symbol on the front in green and a smaller picture with the name near the bottom. The back side of the box has the same symbol again with no other branding.

The sides have the contents list, specifications, and company information on one side and on the other side is a list of a few features as well as an authenticity code. There is a sticker on the corner indicating that the kit includes the new mesh GTL coils that are black rather than the standard silver GTL coils.

Once opened, the FlasQ is visible sitting in a foam insert. The pod is already installed but there is not a coil inside it. Underneath the foam insert is a cardboard spacer with a hole in the center so you can lift it to get to the rest of the contents which are a user manual, warranty card, USB-C charging cable, and two coils. The coils included are the new mesh black coils that are .4 ohm rated at 20-30 watts and a .8 ohm coil rated at 12-18 watts.

The FlasQ is obviously designed with the shape of a drinking flask in mind and thus the name of the device. Eleaf was nice enough to provide the black and blue versions for my review. I appreciate it when companies do this because it allows me to use both coils at once to compare them instead of using one then trying to remember what the first one was like to compare to the second.

The FlasQ has an internal batter rated at 1370mah and a maximum output of 40 watts to provide the user with fairly long battery life. The entire body is made of metal but I did not see anywhere where it said what metal. I don’t think it’s aluminum because there is a fair amount of weight to it.

The front of the device has the FlasQ name etched near the top in what appears to be a cursive type script. Below that is the round fire button which happens to have a very definitive click to it when pressed. Moving down is the simplistic OLED display followed by the + and - adjustment buttons. The FlasQ only does either VW or VV with no TC, power curves, or extra modes. The screen shows only the Set Wattage or Voltage, Coil Resistance, and a Battery level indicator. There is not a puff counter on it which seems a little strange to me as it seems like every device I’ve seen with a display has a puff counter.

There are a few features to the FlasQ though. The button operation is as follows.

• Press the fire button 5X to turn the device on/off
• Press the + and – buttons to lock the adjustment button but it will still fire
• Press the fire button and the – button to turn on/off stealth mode
• Press the fire button and the + button to flip the screen

The FlasQ also has some safety features built into the device. They are as follows.

• Low Volt and Lock: If the battery is below 3.3v then the display will show “Low Volt” and if the button is pressed again to fire then it will say “Lock” and it must be charged to use again.
• Short: If a coil below 0.1ohms is used then the display will show “Short” on the display.
• Over 10s: If you press the fire button longer than 10 seconds then this message will appear.
• Too Hot: If a short circuit occurs or the temperature is too high then this message appears.
• Max Power: This is displayed if the coil resistance is over 1.0 ohms and you try to adjust over the limit of 20 watts.

The back side of the FlasQ has the words Designed by Eleaf again in cursive script. There are no other branding marks on the outside of the unit. There are indentations on either side to kind of mimic if there were a leather padding or something but there is not.

The charging port for the FlasQ is located on the bottom of the device which I thought was a little odd for one of this size. Also, the curvature of the bottom of the mod does not allow it to be stood up vertically. I feel like the base should have been made flat to allow it to be stood upright.

The pod opening on the FlasQ has the usual two spring loaded gold plated contacts to provide power to the coil. It also has two magnets that match up with the ones on the pod to hold it in securely.

The pod for the FlasQ has a pretty large capacity at 5ml to last through a charge of the battery depending on what wattage you run. The downside of the pod though is that it is fairly dark tinted and you can’t see the liquid level when it is installed in the device. There are however some nice features to the pod. First of all is the U shaped top airflow which adjusts nicely and is tight enough that it doesn’t move accidentally and like with most top airflow devices there is no leaking. Second up is that the pod is a top fill with a nice thick and durable rubber plug. It’s nice that you don’t have to remove the pod to fill but would be nicer if you could see the liquid level while filling. I just got in a habit of removing and filling the pod when I charged the battery. There is also a nice third feature. It is the innovative “Push Pop” mechanism that allows you to push on the drip tip to pop out the coil for replacement. However, due to this design, the drip tip is not replaceable.

The GTL coils have two flat spots on them that align with the flats on the bottom of the pod to allow the coil to fully seat into the pod. The bottom of the pod has two magnets that hold the pod in securely. The FlasQ coils are not only compatible with the new black mesh GTL coils but also with the silver ones. Besides the .4 and .8 ohm coils included in the kit, there is also an optional 1.2 ohm coil available for purchase separately.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I have to say that it has been a pleasure testing the Eleaf FlasQ pod mods for this review. To me they are very ergonomic and comfortable to hold. The 1370mah battery is a reasonable size for a device like this and the 5ml liquid capacity is definitely a plus.

Initially I tested the .4 ohm coil included in the blue kit and felt like it constantly seemed to be over saturated no matter how high I turned up the wattage in the 20-30 watt range. I knew this couldn’t be right so swapped it out for the .4 ohm coil in the second kit. Eleaf was nice enough to send extra coils but not any extras of the .4 ohm coils. The second .4 coil functioned wonderfully. It provided good flavor and vapor production. Even with the airflow shut down to 1/3 open I felt like I could push the coil past the 30 watt maximum so I did. I ended up running it at 40 watts and it kept up fine for my style of vaping.

On the black kit I installed the .8 ohm mesh coil and filled the pod with a cookie/tobacco mix that I’ve been using for a while. It really shined with this coil and the airflow maybe ¼ open. I ran it at 16 watts and the flavor production was very good. It’s unusual for me to vape at this low of a wattage but this one was my preferred coil out of the two. It was just a very smooth and flavorful vape.

So, would I recommend the Eleaf FlasQ for you? I have no problem recommending it when it comes to flavor and vapor production. It does have a little bit of weight to it due to the metal body so am not sure how comfortable it would be as a pocket carry but it performs as it should. It would be nice if it was flat on the bottom to stand up and wish I could see the liquid level without removing the pod but overall it’s a really good device.

When I read the description given by the manufacturer, " Japanese cherry blossom" I wondered why a blossom. Maybe it's just a fancy name, natural cherry wouldn't sound so good. 8-10% is the factory blend, I chose the upper limit as natural cherry is not a strong flavour. As it turned out later, this was not a bad idea. The cherry is noticeable in the scent, so it could be "Japanese Cherry Blossom" . The flavours are not very strong, even with the 10% blend. Sweet cherry, which I think is what the flavour makers got right. It's a kind of everyday use, I just call it "work aroma". Not too sweet and just as cherryy as it should be. For me, after a day or two it seemed a bit boring, but my partner really likes it. For the money, it will certainly work for cherry lovers, but I expected a bit more from the nice sounding name "Japanese Cherry Blossom".

I've tried a lot of different devices by Innokin in the past years and I can surely say that Innoking is one of my favourite brands on the market. Most of all I like that they are always trying to deliver a quality product with some innovations included for a reasonable price.

Let's see what is so innovative about the newest INNOBAR C1 Kit and its special water based e-liquids.

So I've got the Jungle Juice, Strawberry Watermelon, Sour Berries, Tangerine and Rose Lychee flavours.

The device is sealed in a protective package.
C1 Prefilled Pods:

They come packed 2x per box - 2ml each. They have silicone protectors for the mouthpiece and connectors. Pods are not magnetic - you need to stick them on the bar and they are holding strong on it (sometimes even too strong as I had some problems when changing them during testing).
Quick review on them:

Strawberry Watermelon
One of the best flavours in the range. Pretty strong and tasty watermelon and some juicy strawberries. A bit of a cooling but not too much. Sweet flavour. I liked it very much.
And I even got the 2 boxes of them, I guess it was an accident but it's a Nice one

Jungle Juice
It's a mix of fruits, mainly apple, strawberry and pineapple. Pretty sweet one.
Didn't taste much of a cherry in the mix but it's still an interesting one.

Rose Lychee
Floral lychee taste with a lot of cooling added. An interesting mix for sure, never tried a similar one before. Not my favourite though.

Sour Berries
A mix of berries with raspberries on top. If you like a raspberry dessert you will like it for sure as it's also a very sweet one. (even if they call it sour berries).

Tangerine
Citrusy taste, pretty similar to an orange to me. Not a very strong one but pleasant.
If you like citrus vapes, I guess you will like that one. Not much cooling in this one.

Overall the water based e-liquids tasted pretty good. Mixes are original and fun to vape.
Don't do the DTL on them as they are pretty harsh if you'll try. MTL style is working best for them.

I had a couple of slight leakage problems with 2 pods while testing.
Not much - just a small amount of e-liquid on the bottom:


Pros:
Very Reasonable price (around £8 for the device and 4-5 for the pods in the UK)
Beginner Friendly (autodraw)
New technologies used (including the 30% e-liquids)
450mAh internal battery, quick charging option and constant output while using
Rechargeable - better for the environment
Cool design
Interesting flavour mixes

Cons:
Not too much to complain about on this one.
As I mentioned, I had a few minor leakage cases during the testing.
Will not suit you if you prefer DTL vaping.

My Filan Thoughts on Innokin Innobar C1:
Very good option for smokers who are looking for an option to switch for a healthier alternative.
Great, reasonably priced modern device with a nice range of different flavours.
Even if you won't like them all, each of them is So much better than any regular cigarette you are using right now

Both offer a large liquid capacity (4.5ml) which is impressive in relation to their size. Gotek S and Gotek X use the same cartridges and have almost the same specifications but adopt slightly different designs, so I decided to present them together in the same review so that you can compare them.





► Packaging:
The packaging of both devices and also that of the spare pods are simple, however they have rather nice graphics on a white background where all the necessary information is reported. When you will buy Gotek S or Gotek X, the cartridges are not included in either the S or the X but are sold separately.



For Aspire there is a strictly commercial reason why the GoTek S and GoTek X devices are sold without the refillable cartridges. In fact, the GOTEK series also includes a wide range disposable cartridges with of liquid pre-filled with different flavours. So the refillable pod is not included, but you can choose which refillable pod or disposable pod to buy. In some countries, there are no limits on the amount of pre-loaded e-juices and no limits on the strength of nicotine. In Italy the TPD law is observed which allows max 2ml of preloaded e-liquid and max 20mg/ml of nicotine concentration. GoTek S and GoTek X TPD disposable cartridges for Italy will probably be distributed in the future.



The contents of the packages are therefore essential and common to both kits, it is a simple configuration with only the main body, a USB Type-C cable and a user manual.



Since there are currently no types of TPD-approved preloaded pods, Aspire sent me two refillable cartridges for this test which are included in a single sales package.



In the two images below you can compare the two technical data sheets to understand the main differences between Gotek S and Gotek X, the differences are minimal, and mainly concern the design and dimensions.

► Visual comparison:
Both GoTek S and GoTek X have transparent designs that reveal a cylindrical battery and vertical pods. GoTek S has a surface with "pop" prints placed at the top and bottom; it's hard to explain based on the photos, but these prints create a nice three-dimensional effect defined by Aspire as "fashionable". GoTek X Has a larger transparent surface with a more sober overall appearance, defined by Aspire as "futuristic".



For this test I received GoTek S in Yellow color and GoTek X in Translucent Black color. The devices are decorated with white identification lettering. GoTek S and GoTek X are really light as they are made of plastic, much more lively Gotek S with yellow 3D prints. GoTek X is slightly larger, but not too much. You can visualize how compact these devices are in the image below together with a cork.



The other side of GoTek S has no "writings" but keeps the yellow 3D prints while GoTek X on this side is devoid of any decoration or writing.



The view of the narrow sides of GoTek S and GoTek X always shows a certain transparency, GoTek S has softer surfaces, while GoTek X has processes designed to facilitate grip with the hands. Both are equipped with an attachment for a lanyard or a collar, GoTek S is perforated to pass through a lanyard, while GoTek X has a plastic tab that can be adjusted at will.





► Airflow and USB-C:
On the bottom of GoTek S and GoTek X there is an airflow adjustment via a tiny plastic button / slider. Flow regulation ranges from super narrow MTL to moderately wide RDL. The USB-C charging socket allows you to recharge both devices in about 70 minutes.





► LED:
The ASP circuit of GoTek S and GoTek X is assisted in notifications by a white LED light on "S" and a blue color on "X". The function of the led is basic and only shows; the completion of the recharge, the moment in which the device needs to be charged, finally the safety functions are indicated by a few flashes of the Led.



► All-In-one:
As shown in the image below, the GoTek S and GoTek X compartment/pod is quite deep as it must accommodate rather long cartridges. The connection between the Mod and the cartridge is optimal and safe because it takes place via 4 small powerful magnets. When the cartridge is inserted into the Mod you are ready to start vaping and the automatic extraction does not miss a beat, resulting perfect.



► Cartridge:
The cartridges are made of dark colored PCTG, however the internal liquid level is easily visible even when the cartridge is inserted into the Mod. The filling is of the lateral type and takes place by lifting an orange silicone rubber tip. With 4.5ml of capacity which is a truly extraordinary amount for a Pod Mod, you will have a remarkably long vape autonomy. The fixed type drip tip with "duckbill" form factor is not my favorite shape, but I must admit that it is comfortable for the lips. These cartridges contain a built-in 0.8Ω coil, the first time you use it you have to wait about 5 minutes to allow time for the cotton to absorb the eliquid.If you look at the bottom of these cartridges you will notice that the passage of the air is divided into several layers to avoid leakage or condensation of liquid.



► Vaping Test:
Although GoTek S and GoTek X use the same airflow system and also the same cartridge with identical 0.8Ω coil, for this test I used both, differentiating the liquid to better evaluate them. In one cartridge I inserted a tropical fruit liquid and in the other cartridge I inserted the creamy Hypnos liquid.

In my searches I have not obtained information on the type of coil that has been used, but I think it is of the "Mesh" type because the activation is instantaneous and the rather concentrated flavor makes me think of a Mesh Coil. When the airflow is fully open, the RDL hit is quite contrasty and can easily be equated to a smooth MTL hit, however the cloud production is very good with excellent flavor with both types of e-liquids I used . In the fully closed position of the air flow control, the shot is really heavy almost completely obstructed, but the amazing thing is that if you can inhale there is no spitting and the shot is incredibly smooth! My weak point with the GoTek S and GoTek X is with the airflow setting open at 100%, sometimes I close the flow at 50% to get a slightly hotter vapor and more throat hit.

To recap there are several points in favor of GoTek S and GoTek X. An excellent MTL starter kit with a Pod of this size that is capable of holding 4.5ml of liquid is quite rare and precious. The battery capacity of 650mAh is by no means an exceptionally large capacity, however it handles both devices well, the manufacturer says the battery charge will last for two days, of course this depends on how often you use it, with a charge life cycle of the battery I recorded a consumption of about 4/5ml of eliquid. The GoTek X however appears to have a more consistent output at low battery levels. Differently the manufacturer places emphasis on the portability of both kits via straps support, however the specs of both kits are almost the same, having said that, I think you can choose based on your personal design preferences.

i change the e-liquid i use and now i get no flavour at all... i don't know what to do anymore... i saw reviews from the same e-liquid and ppl say its amazing, but not for me...
my last e-liquid was nasty juice and Just juice, now im using some 'nacional' ones (from brazil), not the bests ones but if its good for other, why its trash for me?
what can i try to change?

I need to add that the vapour production of the coil/pod was impressive on this one and I had zero leakage problems with it while testing. The only problem for me was a 2ml capacity, I'd prefer to have at least 3ml.
