Hello and welcome back to my next review for Dovpo. This time I was sent the BP Mods Lightsaber Pod Mod kit in order to provide you with a fair, honest, and hopefully informative review. The Lightsaber is a tube style pod mod with a few twists and turns that might surprise you. There are two versions which are the L and the S versions. I only received the L version for this review. It has an internal 2100mah battery that supplies you with an output range of 5-60 watts. It has a 5V/2A charging rate to get you back up and running quickly when you need to recharge. Included in the kit is a 5ml pod tank and two coils. The specs say that it’s supposed to include two different coils but my kit contained two of the .3 ohm coils. I mentioned that there are a few neat features of the Lightsaber but I’ll get into those later.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Lightsaber mod is very similar to other BP Mods samples that I have received recently. The outer sleeve that is over the box has the BP Mods and Lightsaber name on the front with the words Luxury Edition somewhat faded in larger lettering in the background. The back side of the box the contents list, some specifications, authenticity code, company information, and a bar code sticker stating the version contained inside. As you can see I received the silver L version which is the larger of the two available models. The L version has a 2100mah internal battery while the smaller S version has a 1500mah internal battery.

Once the outer sleeve and box top are removed then you can see the Lightsaber mod and two different drip tips in a foam insert. There is a box to the right that contains two coils, a USB-C charging cable, and an accessory bag. I have to say that I really like the looks of this mod and the wood on the handle is real. There is even a warning on the plastic wrap on the handle warning you to protect the wood from certain things like fire and strong sunlight. There are also different handle sleeve materials available for ordering separately.

When you look at the Lightsaber you might think the pod portion on top is a top fill but actually it’s a pod. You pull the silver cap off the top and there is a rubber fill plug underneath that you have to lift to fill just like any other pod. The pod has a liquid capacity of 5ml.

The bottom of the pod has four magnets to help it attach to the base opening of the mod very securely. In the first picture below you can see how the base has two raised sections that contain the magnets and there are openings or notches in between them. This is because this allows the pod to align with the raised notches in the base opening to keep the pod from turning or moving once inserted in the base. In the second picture you can see the raised notches as well as the two gold plated spring loaded contacts. The pod opening is secured to the base of the mod using three torx head screws. There is also a 510 adapter available for purchase separately that comes with three different top plates to allow it to match up with different sized tanks of 22, 24, and 26mm diameters.

The silver cap on the bottom of the Lightsaber is threaded and this is how you are able to change the handle material with other optional handle materials available for sale separately. Once the bottom cap is unscrewed then the handle portion just slides off of the end of the mod. Underneath the handle is the Lightsaber name printed on the body.

The airflow control portion is part of the mod body. This way you don’t have to worry about rotating the pod to change airflow. The airflow control ring has a series of four small holes and one larger slot opening to allow the user to get anything from a tight MTL with the 1.05 TMD coils or RDL with the .55 TMD coils, or even DTL with the .3 ohm TMD coils.

The Lightsaber is set up a little different from almost all other mods that I see. Normally the fire button and the adjustment buttons are all located on one side along with the display screen. However, the Lightsaber has the adjustment buttons on the side that has the display screen while the fire button and USB-C charging port are located on the opposite side. One thing I like is how the fire button is raised from the body enough that I can feel for the fire button without physically looking for it.

The Lightsaber has a 5V/2A charging circuit built in to get you charged and back up and running fairly quickly. The display is rather simple and pretty small on this one. It has a battery level indicator, coil resistance, set wattage, and output voltage. The set wattage is easy enough to see but my eyes aren’t the best and I honestly can’t read the lower numbers that are in a smaller font without some sort of magnification.

The menu/button operation for the Lightsaber mod is as follows.

• Press the fire button 5X to turn the mod on/off
• Press the fire button 3X to enter the menu to choose between Power, Voltage, or Bypass
• Press the + and – buttons to lock the adjustment buttons

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I have very much enjoyed testing the BP Mods Lightsaber mod. It uses the same TMD series coils in the pod as the TMD Boro and Dot tanks did in my prior reviews which means that the Lightsaber can also use PNP and GTX coils below .6 ohms. This is due to the physical size of the higher resistance coils that make them not fit into the tanks or the pod for the Lightsaber. I kind of wish that it had been included in the kit but am glad that they offer a 510 adapter kit for those that want to use their own tanks. It’s also great that they thought to include three different sized rings with the adapter to allow for different size tanks.

Obviously by now, this having been the third device from BP Mods that uses the TMD coils, I am very familiar with them. The .55 ohm coil is very good for RDL running around 24 watts with the airflow partially closed. The .3 ohm coil is my favorite out of the ones I received to test and like it on this mod at 36 watts with the airflow completely open. Both coils produced pretty good flavor and plenty of vapor for my likes.

I feel like the Lightsaber is very versatile by being able to use different coils, having changeable handle materials, and the optional 510 connection makes it a complete mod useable with any tank that fits into the 5-60 watt output range. I’m sure you know the answer to this already so I’ll just say it. If you are looking for a nice tube mod with lots of options available then I’d definitely recommend this one. Just don’t forget to order the 510 adapter kit with the mod.

Hello everyone, I am relatively new to mech's, but not vaping (switched from cigs like 5-6 years ago) I finally decided to try a mech so after days of research about battery/mech saftey, I ordered one (THC tauren max). First of all, I'm like sad I didn't do this sooner, the vape I get off it is so insanely good! But theres one thing I cant seem to figure out... Using an 18650 is flawless, no problems at all. But if I wanna use a 21700, I've noticed that I often need to take much shorter hits, only because if I try to do a full breath inhale like I do with the 18650's, I can start to taste a dry hit towards the end. I always see others taking looooooong full breath inhales with their 21700 mechs, but I cant seem to do it with mine... The coils I use are various builds from coilclout/twizted timmys/rebels coils/MTN coils/etc.. Is it my wicking that could be causing this? I've tried loose and tight wicks but it feels like no matter what I do, it always seems to want to go dry before the end of my hit when using 21700's.... BTW the batteries I have are Molicel P28A 18650's and Molicel P42A 21700's. Any insight/tips would be greatly appreciated!

► Aspire Cyber G; First Impressions:
This time I am dealing with Cyber G which is the latest Pod system in the recently introduced Cyber series by Aspire. This Kit has an eye-catching build made from a combination of clear plastic and aluminum alloy and with its tubular appearance it is quite similar in design to the Flexus Stik, but is completely different from the Cyber X and Cyber S. The Cyber G uses refillable cartridges of circular with integrated coils of the same type as those present in the cartridges of Cyber X and Cyber S, however these cartridges are not compatible with Cyber X and Cyber S. The new Cyber G retains the possibility to select the vape mode (automatic, manual, or automatic + manual) there is also the Type-C port to quickly recharge the internal 850mAh battery.



Aspire with Cyber G pursues a futuristic design idea that combines transparent materials and robust alloys, we can ideally divide the Cyber G body into three sectors; the upper part is characterized by a high transparency that allows you to perfectly view the internal liquid level and a part of the ASP chipset. There are two small opposing airflows in pure MTL style. The central part that extends to the base is made of light and sturdy aluminum which is painted according to the color version you choose, mine is painted with a beautiful metallic blue. At the bottom, the base is also transparent and incorporates the Type-C charging port and a bright LED.



The multifunctional metal power key incorporates Aspire's new "0I" branding. The key is comfortable to activate with sturdy metal texture.
Through the 5-click power button you can turn on/off the device. With 3 clicks you can select your favorite vape mode, two small internal LEDs emit a strong white light that allow you to view the current extraction setting, while the LEDs flash you can select your preferred mode by pressing the button again, then you can confirm the choice with a further pressure of the key.

• Mode A: Left LED on; the automatic extraction mode is activated.
• Mode B: Right LED on: manual extraction mode is activated.
• AB mode: Both LEDs are on; automatic and manual extraction modes are activated.



The Usb-C charging port is positioned under the lower base and allows the 850Ah battery to be recharged in about 80 minutes. When you insert the Type C connector to recharge the device, the Led lights show the charge level (even during vaping) as follows:

• Red Led: The charge level of the device is less than 30%
• Blue Led: The charge level of the device is between 30 and 60%
• Green Led: The charge level of the device is between 60 and 100%



Inside the compartment/pod are present; the puffs automatic activation sensor, and two magnets to keep the cartridge firmly in place. There is a sticker on the bottom of the pre-installed cartridge which must be removed before use.



► Aspire Cyber G; Disposable Pods:
After removing the protective sticker on the bottom of the cartridge you can see the "meandering" air channeling towards the coil, two circular-shaped magnets (small) and two circular-shaped contacts (large), therefore the cartridge has a only one insertion direction and there is no air control. The air is regulated only by the two external airflows and by the type of cartridge (0.8/1.0Ω) you decide to insert. The transparent Drip Tip is of the fixed type and has an internal dimension compatible with MTL type extractions.



Included in this kit are two different disposable TG Pods (TPD 2ml), both with Mesh internal resistance, one with a resistive value of 0.8Ω and the other with 1.0Ω. The filling is of the lateral type with a liftable black rubber, the filling hole is correctly sized for the tips of most of the e-liquid bottles on the market.





► Aspire Cyber G; Vape test and final conclusions:
It is necessary to make a premise, Cyber G object of this test has a single direction of insertion of the cartridges, therefore the passage of air towards the coil has a default setting. Cyber G differs from the previous Cyber X and Cyber S in the type of extraction it offers which is purely and solely MTL.

After testing Cyber S and Cyber X I think I understood that the internal resistances are the same as Cyber G, so for comparison I continued to use "crispy" aroma diluted to 10% in a 50:50 solution for my test of VG/PG with 3mg/ml boost. The integrated Mesh coils offer a silent draw and with every hit you can enjoy an intense flavor, with a pleasantly velvety and full-bodied vapor. The level of nicotine present in the liquid is conveyed in a very effective way just like when using advanced atomizers and not simple disposable pods. The 0.8Ω and 1.0Ω Kanthal Mesh coils are very similar to each other, the 0.8Ω one logically offers a slightly hotter vapor and I personally prefer it. Both cartridges have an "MTL Ristretto" extraction type and immediately give a pure flavor, free from hints of plastic or cotton. It is necessary to fill the new cartridges and wait at least 5 minutes the first time they are used to allow the cotton to soak up the liquid. A pleasant note is that the cartridges are absolutely free of leaks or anomalous formation of condensate.

The Cyber G Pod-Mod not only has a mesmerizing Mech Style with a compact and ultra-portable form factor, but offers extensive control over the type of draw that can be selected with 3 different firing modes. The modern ASP chip implements extensive security features. The built-in 850mAh battery has excellent durability and guarantees a constant output voltage of 3.4 volts. Here ends my test on the new trio of Pod Mod Aspire, I'm sure that between Cyber X, Cyber S and Cyber G you will find the right device for you.

This time I will be taking a look at the BP Mods TMD Boro Tank that was sent to me by Dovpo in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. The Boro tank is fit for BB style devices. It has a liquid capacity of 5ml and comes with the TMD series of coils. However it is also compatible with PNP and GTX coils also as long as they are below .6 ohms. The tank is made of PCTG and boasts a somatosensory airflow that is easy to adjust. If you’re like me then you may not know what somatosensory means without a little googlefu. For those that don’t want to look it up, here’s a definition that I found. “Relating to or denoting a sensation (such as pressure, pain, or warmth) which can occur anywhere in the body, in contrast to one localized at a sense organ (such as sight, balance, or taste). Also called somesthetic.” Anyway, let’s take a look at the tank and I’ll give my thoughts on it. Since I just recently reviewed the Pulse AIO.5, I went ahead and tested the Boro tank in that device. I also recently reviewed the TMD DOT Tank and some of the information is the same basically but each tank fits in different devices. The two tanks are not interchangeable.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the TMD Boro tank is almost identical to the packaging that the TMD Dot tank arrived in. If it didn’t have the name on the box then you really couldn’t tell the difference. It comes in the same orange box with an outer sleeve over the top letting you know that it is in fact the TMD Boro tank and not the TMD Dot tank. They also let you know right on the front about coil compatibility. The back side of the sleeve has the name, contents list, authenticity code, and company information.

Once the sleeve is removed and the box top lifted then you see the tank, two coils in foil packs, an orange box which contains extra seals, instruction manual, and evidently they use the same card for different tanks since as you can see below there are airflow inserts on the break down but this tank only uses pre-built coils so there aren’t any airflow pins included.

Just like the TMD Dot tank, the Boro tank is a prebuilt coil tank only and there is no building involved. As a matter of fact, the Boro tank uses the same TMD series of coils. However, the Boro tank is 5ml where the Dot tank was 2.6ml. As I mentioned in my other review, these two are not interchangeable. The Dot Tank is much smaller and will not fit in BB style devices. It has the usual white rubber plug that you lift from the bottom in order to fill. The TMD Boro name is printed on the front and you can see the airflow control on the bottom that allows quite a bit of airflow with lower ohm coils for a nice RDL. Depending on the coil used then the available airflow changes.

To insert the coils you remove the base of the tank and push in the coil to seat it in the base. On either side of the coil opening there is a condensation pad. These are supposed to absorb any condensation in order to keep from getting it inside your mod. The pads can be cleaned and reused. There is also an extra set included in the spare parts bag. I almost forgot to mention that when you insert the tank into your device that you should make sure the airflow control is facing you so you can adjust it after the tank is installed.





The coils included with the Boro tank are the .3 ohm TMD coil rated at 30-40 watts and the .55 ohm TMD coil rated at 28-35 watts. Besides being able to use the TMD series coils, you can also use PNP and GTX coils that are below .6 ohms due to the physical size of the .6 and above coils not being large enough on the end to seat into the opening.





FINAL THOUGHTS:

I had been thinking about purchasing this tank so it was a nice coincidence that I had received it for review purposes. I had already been testing the Pulse AIO.5 for another review so decided to test this tank in it. In the future I also plan on trying it out in my BXR mod. I have to say that I really have enjoyed testing this tank. I don’t know if I’m getting lazier as I get older or what but find myself using more drop in coils than I had in the past. I had already stocked up on some PNP and quite a bit of GTX coils so this tank is a good fit for the coils that I have in stock at home.

I started out testing the .55 ohm coil. Just like with the Dot Tank, I ended up running this one at 32 watts. At this setting with the airflow about ½ open I got very good flavor and vapor production using a mango yogurt mix. Next up after a few days, I switched over to the .3 ohm coil. This was my favorite out of the two. The coil brought out all the flavors I was looking for in this mix and was able to run the output a bit higher at 36 watts with the airflow mostly open. I am currently still running this coil and am really enjoying it. I will be curious to see later how the .3 ohm GTX coil compares to it in this tank.

So, would I recommend the BP Mods TMD Boro Tank for you? If you want a solid tank to run in your BB style devices that you can use drop in coils with and have a few different options on which coils to use then absolutely yes I would recommend it.
