INNOKIN ARCFIRE POD SYSTEM review by hittman

Hello and welcome back for yet another review. Today I will be doing my best to provide you with a fair and honest review on the Innokin Arcfire pod system that was sent to me by Innokin. The Arcfire offers a 650mah internal battery with a charging rate of .75A/5V. It has a rated maximum output of 14.5 watts which I am assuming is what you should expect with the optional .8 ohm pod. The Arcfire comes with only one 1.2 ohm 3ml pod which is rated for 10 watts. There are actually four different pods available but really only two different resistances but two are 3ml like the ones I received and the other two are 2ml to accommodate TPD regulations. The Arcfire does have a fire button but can also be used as an auto draw device. However there isn’t an adjustable airflow on this one. I personally like to have the option of airflow adjustment.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Arcfire is what I have become used to after seeing very similar packaging on the Klypse Zip which I reviewed recently. Innokin has committed themselves to using as much recyclable packaging materials as possible. For this reason there is not the usual plastic wrapper covering the boxes for the Arcfire. I received the Nebula Grey and Stellar black versions as samples for this review.

The front of the package has a nice color picture of the actual device contained inside. The Innokin and Arcfire names are located near the top of the face with the color version and the rating of 3ml/1.2 ohm printed in smaller font near the bottom. The back side of the box once again has the Arcfire name printed but in smaller font. It is for sale in the U.S. which is most likely due to the fact that it comes with a 3ml pod and 2ml is the TPD limit. Also a contents list is listed. I personally don’t care for the current trend of only including one pod in a kit. This one follows that trend and only comes with one 1.2 ohm Arcfire pod. It’s my opinion that every pod kit should come with two pods in case one is faulty. The Arcfire pod kit comes with the device, one pod, user guide, and a USB-C charging cable.

1694396580551.png

1694396609721.png

The Arcfire pod cartridge comes pre-installed in the Arcfire device but has a sticker covering the contacts to avoid accidental firing before filling the pod. The bottom of the pod has three silver magnets strategically placed that hold the pods in very securely. So securely in fact that sometimes it’s a little hard to pull the pod out for refilling. The 1.2 ohm pod that is included is clearly labeled on one side with the Innokin and Arcfire names as well as the coil resistance and the 3ml liquid capacity. The 3ml capacity is a nice improvement over the standard 2ml pods we usually see on most pod devices. However, the user manual suggests keeping the pod at least 1/3 full which means you’re still refilling the pod every 2ml of liquid used.

The fill port is located in the flat side of the pod opposite of the side with the labeling printed on it. There is an arrow on the molded rubber plug indicating where to lift the plug for filling. The opening is large enough to accommodate the tip of a 60ml gorilla bottle. The fill port is located near the center of the pod and with it on the flat side I find it rather awkward to fill. I personally don’t like the location of the fill port on this pod. Since the pod is tinted I had to pay close attention while filling with adequate lighting to avoid overfilling. Once filled, the pod will only go into the battery portion one way due to the molded portion that sticks out a little on one side. If you look closely at the last picture below you can see how there is a lip that sticks out a little from the body of the pod.

1694396719366.png

1694396748101.png

The Arcfire is a really nice looking pod device. It just screams quality when you hold it in your hand. I’m not surprised since when I think of Innokin, I think of quality made products. One side of the mod has the Innokin name etched into the body while the other side has the Arcfire name.

1694396800789.png

The pod opening has the usual two gold colored spring loaded contacts the transfer power to the coil in the pod. It also has matching magnets like the pod to hold the pod in place very securely. There is literally no chance of the pod coming out accidentally.

The USB-C charging port is located on the bottom of the Arcfire. It only has a .75A charging rate which is a little low in my opinion. So you’re looking at 45-50 minutes to charge the 650mah battery completely. There is a lighted ring on the bottom of the Arcfire that illuminates when taking a puff or when charging. There are also three single LED lights on the side with the power button to indicate battery level.

60HlbPj.jpg

The side with the power button has a single airflow inlet above the power button. To turn the Arcfire on/off it takes three presses of the fire button. It really isn’t used for anything else so I’m a little surprised that a power button was included in the design.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

With the pod market being flooded constantly, it becomes more and more difficult for a pod device to stand out. I feel like Innokin did this by sticking with quality materials and giving the user the feeling that they are holding an expensive item. That being said, the proof is in the pudding and a pod can be the best looking/designed one ever but if it doesn’t vape well then it might as well be a paperweight.

Both of the kits that I received only came with one 1.2 ohm pod each. That’s a definite con in my book. Especially since there is a .8 ohm pod available for purchase separately. The kit should have come with one of each. Innokin did send a two pack of the .8 ohm pods for my review and I am glad that they did. I personally didn’t care for the flavor production on the 1.2 ohm pod. I made myself run five fills through it just to see if the flavor would improve with use but it really didn’t. I used a jelly donut mix in it that I’ve been vaping for a few weeks in a tank and I could barely tell it was the same mix once in the pod.

I was very grateful to have the .8 ohm pods that Innokin sent with the Arcfire samples. The flavor was a bit light at first but after about 1.5 fills the flavor improved. I was running a creamy custard tobacco mix in this one and it delivered respectable flavor for a pod. Not the best I’ve tried but it was decent. I felt like this one could have really shined with another 3-4 watts of output.

Overall, the Innokin Arcfire delivers decent flavor and vapor while having a really nice physical appearance. It’s honestly just not a good fit for my vaping style. I do keep a couple pods in my rotation but don’t see this one taking the place of either of those.

I’d like to thank Innokin for sending the Arcfire Pod kits and spare coils for this review. Thanks as always to the readers for making it to the end of another review. Below is a link to the Innokin website where you can see the Arcfire as well as the other quality made products that they manufacture.

INNOKIN ARCFIRE POD KIT REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Hello and welcome back for today's review of the Arcfire refillable pod kit from Innokin. The Arcfire is a very simple device having only a power button to turn the device on/off which makes it a auto draw only device with power output done automatically depending on which pod is used. Airflow is fixed having no adjustability either, I'll tell you how all these factors perform later on but first lets see some of the features of the Arcfire from it's manufacturer Innokin.

HOW TO GUIDE

1694371972990.png

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The Arcfire comes as a simple box in a box design, the inner box slides out with the device resting in it's on tray, inside the tray/box is a White envelope containing a charge cord, safety guide and the owners manual that Innokin calls the quick guide. Only one pod is supplied with this kit and it's a 1.2Ω mesh, a 0.8Ω mesh pod is available but sold separately. Innokin sent a box of the 0.8Ω mesh pods for review as well. The fist device I opened was the solid colored Grey one which has a matt finish and looks nice. The 2nd device is a stunning color Innokin calls Cosmic Pink which actually looks like a light colored purple that gradients to a Blue color, both have a nice metallic appearance and are very light to hold as well as being shirt pocket friendly with no pocket sag.

SMT's Chessmen Cookies + VPIC

chessmen-cookie-vpic.jpg

Chessmen Cookies + VPIC (Vanilla Pudding Ice Cream)

SSA Crumbly Cookie 1.5%
FA Vanilla Cookie 1.5%
FA Cookie 0.8%
FLV Vanilla Pudding 1.8%
SSA Ice Cream Vanilla 0.7%
SSA Clotted Cream 0.5%

Optional: 0.5% FA Butter / if more of a buttery note is desired

Steep time = 4 weeks

Pepperidge Farm Chessmen Cookies are an awesome tasting butter cookie with an almost shortbread cookie texture. I've always loved their rich, melt-in-your-mouth buttery flavor.

Chessmen cookies were the inspiration for what I had in mind when I started working on this mix. I tried a few different cookie flavor combos before settling on SSA CC, FA VC and FA Cookie = the cookie base. Together they make a powerhouse butter cookie (one that can easily be used for other ideas).

SSA Crumbly Cookie is just an excellent cookie flavor. FA Vanilla Cookie, also excellent, added the buttery goodness. FA Cookie delivers the baked cookie edges.

I wanted a creamy vanilla pudding ice cream. After experimenting with a couple different IC's I settled on SSA ICV. At a lower percentage it still delivers an IC note. I didn't want the ice cream to overtake the lovely notes found in FLV VP.

FLV VP and SSA ICV were excellent together, but, I felt they were missing something to boost the creaminess I was after. SSA Clotted Cream totally turned this into the creamy vanilla pudding IC I was going for. Those three flavors together make a wonderful VPIC and one that could be used with other bakery bases.

Also made this using 0.5% FA Butter for a brighter buttery note. That was very smooth!!!

It's a very tasty butter cookie vanilla pudding ice cream.

I also made this mix with 2.5% WF Pudding Milk Chocolate for a cookie with a chocolatey vibe. WF PMC totally delivered a light tasting chocolate note. It also boosted the overall creaminess of the vanilla pudding ice cream.

I am 100% confident this mix will work with a fruit or two. A nut flavor? Yes, absolutely.

SMT's Pizzelles (Custard Filled)

Pizzelles.jpg

Pizzelles (Custard Filled)

SSA Soft Waffle 2.8%
MB Classic Belgian Waffle 2%
FA Zeppola 0.9%
FA Cookie 0.7%
FA Butter 0.5%
FA Custard Premium 2%
WF Vanilla Cream Extra 1.5%

Optional: OOO Powdered Sugar 0.75%

Steep time = 4 weeks

It took me a fair amount of time to recreate the taste of a Pizzelle. In the end it was worth the time and effort. This mix totally freaking rocks. It's very tasty as is but also works nicely with additions (see below).

Pizzelles are an Italian creamy elegant and beautifully shaped waffle-like pastry filled with a condensed milk filling.

Pizzelles are also known as Trubochki or "Russian Cannoli".

I departed from going the condensed milk route after a few attempts. Decided to go with a creamy custard filling instead. It wasn't that the condensed milk flavors I tried didn't work. They did and very nicely at that. I just felt going with a custard was a better fit.

SSA SW, MB CBW, Zep, Cookie and Butter make an awesome tasting waffle base. One that can be used on it's own as a blank canvas for other ideas.

I didn't want the custard filling to scream "CUSTARD" - - - so WF VCE helped to tame FA CP's "I'm Here" notes. You won't taste any of it's eggy notes in this mix.

OOO Powdered Sugar adds a fine finishing touch to the pastry. Although, the mix tastes equally as awesome without it. OOO PS doesn't really add "sweetness" per se. It adds more of a finished bakery note (which is what it does best).

I have tried this mix with raspberry, with mango/pineapple, with coconut and with orange. Each was very tasty. This mix will work just as nicely with other fruits.

Also, I mixed this using WF Roasted Pecans and Cream. That was very, very tasty. This mix will easily work with other nut flavors.

A chocolate will also work. Go light for a chocolate swirl or go heavier for a total chocolate Pizzelle.

GeekVape Aegis AP2 An Alternative to Juul Leap Vuse etc

Waited 4 days before reviewing this.
My review is using a 50/50 Nic Salt (50mg/5%) Liquid with the 1.2Ohm coil.
It's not to evaluate with other liquids. Just the equivalent of you find in the Juul type pods
just tastier!.

Pros
1. Very simple No screens Only two functions to learn
a. 3 clicks changes the temp settings from low med high
b. 5 clicks turns on and allows you to use the button another 5 clicks makes it for pure draw activated
Pretty much just fill, charge and vape.
2. 4.5Ml Pod much bigger than the average. I let it run to 1/2 than fill it around 24 hours.
3. Form factor. This device fits in the fist of my hand and is excellent for Low Key vaping. Also
both rounded and compact at the same time. IMHO it's the perfect form factor also never falls out of my pocket even when taking a siesta.
a. Rock solid quality construction with metal scratch free shell
b. I chose the metallic blue which is very purty also come in Camo and multiple colors
4. very good flavor
5. Uses the Geekvape G Series Coils only cost $2.30 per coil in a 5 pack for $11.50 and available in .6 .8 1.0 and 1.2 Ohm with good reputation.
6. No leaking or spitting the coils work well and as mentioned in previouslyvery flavorful vape.
7. a 1.2ohm coil is available ((bought separately) works perfect for the 50mg (5%) Salt liquids.
8. Comes with the .6 and .8ohm Coils
9. Coil is brain dead Easy to install just pull pod from the body, use fingernail and pull out and put in. No tools or disassembly needed.
10. Pod uses a rubber plug, Side Fill, I surmise that it will last months.
11. 900mah battery easily lasts for 2-3ml liquid. The 900mah seems to be enough and lasts long enough it's a good tradeoff between battery life and size.
battery, trade off is that would make a bulkier, larger, and heavier device.
12. .usb c on bottom. Doesn't leak when charged on the side. And almost everyone has a USB C cable though it came with one.
13. definitely a Mouth to lung mtl comes with a simpl ways to change the mtl. Just reverse the cartridge. Really though how many people want
to take huge draws directly to the lungs of a 50mg liquid.? Have you ever heard of nicotine poisoning?
14. Nearly forgot to go into this it has 3 power settings and with a 1.2 Ohm Atty lowest is 10 , mid 11 highest is 12 Watts. Definitely can tell the difference with the 50mg liquid. I like the lowest setting
10 Watts.

Cons
1. The side fill plug has it's drawback
a. Just a little bit difficult to fill and displace the air
b. I prefer the top fill with a seal that you push aside.
c. I find myself spiiling small amounts of liquid trying to get the fill complete
2. Wish it was shipped with a 1.2 coil, with the limited wattage that a device of this type offers it seems perfect for High Nic Salt vaping
at 1.2 Ohm.
3. This Pod Device is not for Sub Ohm Power vapers. The maximum wattage is 17 watts on High setting with the .6 Ohm coil
Just not enough for low nic liquids.
4. The style of this is small and fat. Some might prefer the Juul type styling. Me I enjoyed vaping circumspectly so this is perfect
no one ever sees the body of this device. It's covered by my hands.
5. Not for DTL Explanation in Pro's section. Also very limited Airflow Control, Only two settings.
6. Curved bottom edge can't stand it straight up.
7. Some might want to just change out the pods (preinstalled fixed coils) and not have to deal with the extra step of changing a coil on a pod. On the other hand it's a cheaper solution.

Opinion::
Let's start with the negatives:

To be fair no vape system is perfect, the AP2 has two dealbreakers (for some not me).

The 1st and biggest drawback is that a two part pod solution which involved changing a pod and a separate coil This may be a major deal breaker to some who might want more simplicity and not have to deal with both changing coils and the pod. But the coil really is easy to change. Me I would have preferred the pod containing the coil. Simplicity. But the trade off is that the coils are less expensive than the Coil Pod Combo. Maybe Geekvape could begin to sell both.

Second minor drawback is that I'm spoiled by top load with pressure seal. Maybe I'm a two thumbs but I just can't get the hang of completely filling the side load pod without having to wipe the spillage off the cartridge body.

Let's end on a good note:
Like many of you after purchasing any device I go looking to see if I can find something better
(buyers remorse). In the limited Use of alternate to Juul type devices vaping 50/50 liquid at 1.2 ohms I just couldn't find anything better.. Simplicity of this device, Form Factor build and coil quality. Large 4.5ml juice etc. No leaking Spitting.,simple power control. The package of features is simply the best.
Only one that came close was Voopoo Vinci 3 but it lacked 1.2Ohm Coils (Max .6) and when investigated there were a lot of complaints about leaky coil/pods.

I will repeat AP2 device couldn't be beat when everything is taken into account.. At around $27 bucks online (I paid $22.00 with Coupon Code) it's not overly expensive either. Everything else in the market had drawbacks.

)

I wonder?

Those of us here that quit long term cigarette smoking by switching to vaping and have been vaping for several years, this question is to y'all. If for some reason vaping suddenly became unavailable, who would be able to not start smoking again? I'd like to think I could pull that off, cigarettes are just too nasty to me now.

Vandyvape pulse II TC

So I figured out how to set basic TC from reading a review. It says TC SS, 450f 50w. I like the 450f. Flavorings are my biggest worry, and if the thing doesn’t go over 450f I’m guaranteed good. The issue is there’s two known kinds of stainless that are used for TC, and it doesn’t say which one. I’m using an original pulse RDA, with pretty thick SS wire, and a 1.12ohm coil (yes, it’s pretty long. 10 wraps of the biggest diameter that would fit) it’s not a premade (of course) and I understand tc is done by measuring the resistance of the wire. How do I set this so the temp measurement is accurate? Also 50w seems higher than needed to me but I don’t know how to alter that either. I can live with it if I need to though. I’m mostly just interested in making sure I’m not vaping at too high a temp.
