► Aspire Cyber S; First Impressions:
Among the countless proposals for devices with disposable cartridges that have saturated and continue to saturate the market, Aspire is always welcome because their products are always perfected and the design is always more innovative, fascinating and futuristic to improve the vape experience at any level even in basic devices like these. To meet the personal aesthetic tastes of every vaper ASPIRE recently launched the Cyber series with 3 devices; Cyber S , Cyber X and Cyber G which are very similar to each other in terms of technical characteristics but completely different from each other in terms of form factor. Here you can check out my previous Cyber X review

Aspire-Cyber-S-Pod-Kit-8.jpg

Aspire has taken care of the futuristic design of Cyber S starting from a classic "vape pen" style rather thin on the sides and with the two shells of metal and transparent plastic that are perfectly blended with each other with smooth curves and with precision of assembly for great portability and for great tactile feedback. In the upper lateral part you can see the only airflow for the passage of air from the outside to the inside where the coil is present. The sizing of the airflow port is compatible with MTL/RDL type extractions and since the TSX cartridges are the same as Cyber X I'm sure of this.

Aspire-Cyber-S-Pod-Kit-9.jpg

The Cyber S control panel features a multi-function metal power key that incorporates aspire's new "0I" branding. The button is surrounded by a LED for checking the residual battery level. The transparency of this side allows you to see the liquid contained inside the cartridge, but you can also see a part of the chipset that is located under the power button. Towards the bottom you can see the writing "Cyber S Next Gen Upgrade the futuristic style Neo effect", the writing is above an internal decorative insert that offers shimmering shades of color.

Aspire-Cyber-S-Pod-Kit-10.jpg

Through the 5-click power button you can turn on/off the device. With 3 clicks you can select your favorite vape mode, two small internal LEDs emit a strong white light that allow you to view the current extraction setting, while the LEDs flash you can select your preferred mode by pressing the button again, then you can confirm the choice with a further pressure of the key.

• Mode A: Left LED on; the automatic extraction mode is activated.
• Mode B: Right LED on: manual extraction mode is activated.
• AB mode: Both LEDs are on; automatic and manual extraction modes are activated.

Aspire-Cyber-S-Pod-Kit-11.jpg

For this test I received the Cyber S version in "Hunter Green" color which is recognizable by the metal part painted in this color and by a silver "Aspire" writing.

Aspire-Cyber-S-Pod-Kit-12.jpg

The 5V 2A charging port is positioned on the lower base and allows the 700mAh battery to be recharged in a very short time of just 30 minutes. When you insert the Type C connector to recharge the device, the Led lights show the charge level (even during vaping) as follows:

• Red Led: The charge level of the device is less than 30%
• Blue Led: The charge level of the device is between 30 and 60%
• Green Led: The charge level of the device is between 60 and 100%

Aspire-Cyber-S-Pod-Kit-13.jpg

Inside the compartment/pod are present; the puffs automatic activation sensor, the air passage channel towards the coil, and two magnets to keep the cartridge firmly in place. There is a sticker on the bottom of the pre-installed cartridge that needs to be removed.

Aspire-Cyber-S-Pod-Kit-14.jpg

► Aspire Cyber S; Disposable Pods:
The cartridge supplied with Cyber S TPD has a black spout that has a comfortable anatomical shape for the lips. After removing the protective sticker on the bottom of the cartridge you can see two different air ducting holes, one hole is bigger (RDL) and one hole is smaller (MTL).

Aspire-Cyber-S-Pod-Kit-15.jpg

You can quickly vary the MTL or RDL vaping mode by simply changing the direction of insertion of the cartridge into the mod.

Aspire-Cyber-S-Pod-Kit-16.jpg

The kit includes two different disposable Pods (TPD 2ml), both with internal Mesh resistance, one with a resistive value of 0.8Ω and the other with 1.0Ω. Once the black spout has been removed, you can conveniently fill the cartridge through the refill port which is equipped with a safety membrane. One aspect that I really liked is that when filling it is not necessary to remove the cartridge from the device.

Aspire-Cyber-S-Pod-Kit-17.jpg

► Aspire Cyber S; Vape test and final conclusions:

I did this Cyber S test at the same time as the Cyber X test and since the two devices use the same cartridges I continued to use the previous cartridges already used in Cyber X. MTL/RDL extraction is equivalent on both devices . I remind you that I used "crispy" aroma diluted 10% in a 50:50 solution of VG/PG with 3mg/ml boost.

Depending on the pod used you can choose between two different airflow options for MTL and RDL by simply rotating the pod 180° and inserting it back into the Mod. The integrated Mesh coils offer a silent hit and with every puff you can taste an intense flavor , with a pleasantly velvety and full-bodied vapor. The level of nicotine present in the liquid is conveyed in a very effective way just like when using advanced atomizers and not simple disposable pods. The 0.8Ω and 1.0Ω Kanthal Mesh coils are very similar to each other especially in MTL mode. The 0.8Ω one logically offers better RDL performance with a slightly hotter vapor. Both cartridges offer crystal clear flavor right out of the box and no weird plastic tastes. You must wait at least 5 minutes the first time you use the new cartridges to allow time for the cotton to soak up the liquid. A very pleasant note is that the cartridges are absolutely free of leaks or anomalous formation of condensation, therefore the compartment / pod is always dry and clean. The internal liquid level is always under control and it is not necessary to remove the cartridge to check it. Also available separately are oversized 3ml cartridges with side filling, the 3 and 2ml cartridges (visible in the image below) are fully compatible with Cyber X and S devices.

Aspire-Cyber-S-Pod-Kit-18.jpg

The Cyber S Pod-Mod offers extensive control over the type of draw which can be selected with 3 different activation modes. The modern ASP chip offers extensive security features. The built-in 700mAh battery has excellent durability and guarantees a constant output voltage of 3.4 volts. With 2A USB Type-C fast charging, the battery is fully charged in no time. Aspire's Cyber S is definitely a winner in its category, because it is suitable for newbies who seek both tight MTL vaping and moderately smooth RDL vaping. Thanks to its attractive and compact "vape pen" form factor, the Cyber S can be easily transported and displayed with pride.

I would like to thank Aspire for providing me with the kit. I hope this review has been helpful for anyone looking to purchase the Cyber S.

Thanks for reading.

ECF Tutorial - Video Playback

The new version of Xenforo has a very cool option for playing videos.

When you come across a post with an embedded video you can now detach the video from the post and watch it while you continue browsing that page.

How do I use this feature?

I will use a video @Pigs posted last month (thanks Mate! ). His post is here. I've also included a screenshot of his post.

Screen shot 2022-12-18 at 1.51.45 PM.png

I've embedded the video from his post so you can follow along.

At this point you can play the video within my post (same as the previous version of Xenforo).

The new Xenforo software has a very cool feature where you can detach the video from a post and have it play in the lower right-hand corner of your web browser (computer) or at the bottom of your smartphone browser.

At the lower right of an embedded video you will see a lightly greyed out icon.
Screen shot 2022-12-18 at 2.33.02 PM.png

Hover over the icon and it turns black.
Screen shot 2022-12-18 at 2.33.20 PM.png

Click on the icon and the video detaches itself from a user's post and repositions itself to the lower right-hand corner of your web browser or to the bottom of your smartphone display. Like so...
Screen shot 2022-12-18 at 2.44.29 PM.png

It works much like PiP (picture-in-picture) on a TV. This is Xenforo's version of PiP.

You can control a detached video as you normally would in any post (pause, play, stop).

Another cool thing about this feature is you can continue reading the current ECF page while the video remains visible, and playing, as you scroll up and down a page.

Clicking the 'X' at the upper left-hand corner closes a detached video window. Closing the video window returns it to the post where it was located.
Screen shot 2022-12-18 at 2.42.26 PM.png

If you start playing a video and then detach it the video will continue playing. When you close a video window, and if it's playing, it will continue playing in the post it came from. There are no momentary glitches when you detach, or close, a video that's playing. Playback is seamless.

When you navigate to another ECF page the video stops playing and the window closes automatically.

The end!!!

ECF Tutorial - Profile Banner

In this tutorial I'll cover another new Xenforo (forum software) feature called Profile Banner.

What is a Profile Banner?

A profile banner gives us the ability to personalize our ECF presence. It's displayed on our profile page and also affects how our user name/member ID is displayed across ECF.

We decorate our homes and decorate over the holidays etc. - - - so why not customize (decorate) our ECF presence?

What does a Profile Banner look like?

If you hover over a member's user ID in any thread you'll see the following (no profile banner).

Screen shot 2022-08-28 at 2.27.20 PM.png

Hover over a member's user ID who is using a profile banner and you will see a background image. If you hover over my avatar or user name (to the left of this post) you will see this.

Screen shot 2022-12-18 at 11.56.19 AM.png

A member's profile page (your account page) without a profile banner looks like this (screenshot via my computer).

Screen shot 2022-12-18 at 11.03.20 AM.png

This is what a member's profile page looks like with a profile banner. Screenshot in portrait mode via my smartphone.

IMG_1597cr.jpg

How do we add a profile banner?

Go to your Account details page. Click on "Edit profile banner" (located just below where you change your avatar).

Screen shot 2022-12-18 at 12.17.08 PM.png

The profile banner window opens. Click "Browse" and then select an image (photo or wallpaper/.jpg or .png) from your computer, smartphone or tablet.

Using an image that's at least 1200x700 pixels works best. An image of that size retains its image resolution on your account profile page. Using a lower sized image, like 600x400 pixels, will look funny (pixelated) on your profile page.

Screen shot 2022-12-18 at 12.17.34 PM.png

After you've selected an image from your device you can then drag the image to change the focal point of the banner (as noted in the screenshot below). When you are finished click "Okay". Xenforo then saves your image.

Screen shot 2022-12-18 at 12.18.51 PM.png

You can change or delete a profile banner at any time. Now you know how to setup a profile banner.

That's it!!!

Flavour Art Panorama, part 1

Flavour Art is an Italian manufacturer that has been in the vape market for a long time. There are a lot of flavours in their range, usually simple natural flavours. In each part I will present two flavours, as I wrote they will be simple flavours, so I won't and couldn't write a novel about them. The flavours will be blended at 8% in 70VG-30PG base.

The first flavour is flavour art cold pressed lime, which will be a natural lime creation. You will get a delicious and fragrant, yet not too strong vapor that really tastes like squeezing a lime into your glass. It's slightly sweet, not too tart (which I think is a bit lacking), and there's the spicy and oily lime flavor I was expecting. That was the part that really made the flavour unique. On its own it can be puffed all day, but obviously you can get tired of that after a while, although it does give back the fruit flavour nicely. Personally, I'd rather use it in a nice mix, say with a little cooler or other fruit.
The second flavour is the New York Cheesecake which is obviously a cheesecake. Firstly, the cake on the flavour bottle is labelled strawberry, which shouldn't fool anyone as there are no strawberries in it. It's a nice flavour that really is a cheesecake. It's not too intense, but the smell and taste are great to let you know that you're dealing with a pleasantly sweet 'cake'. It can be used on its own if you just want a small cake, but mixed with other fruits it can make a very good mix. I'm thinking here of the cold pressed lime flavouring, which I've added myself to try out.

ELEAF IORE LITE 2 Pod Kit review by hittman

Hello and welcome back for my latest review for Eleaf. This time I was sent the Eleaf IORE Lite 2 pod in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. The Lite 2 is a very lightweight, portable, and simplistic pod device. It has a 490mah battery capacity and is recharged via the 5V/0.5A USB-C charging port. It only has a single indicator light and has no adjustable airflow. The kit only comes with one pod but Eleaf was nice enough to provide me with two kits and an extra package of pods. The pods have a built in coil and the coil is not replaceable. The coil is a 1.0 ohm mesh coil and the pod holds 2ml of liquid which is a pretty standard size for a small pod device. According to the specifications, the IORE pod is supposed to be able to be filled 10 times before needing to be replaced. I have to think that it depends on what kind of liquid you are using in the pod.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting much from the IORE Lite 2 with it having only a 490mah battery, one pod included, and no airflow or output adjustments. However, after topping off the battery and filling the pod to let the coil saturate, I was pleasantly surprised by the performance. Every once in a while I get a pod device for review that is a perfect fit for me as far as the amount of airflow combined with the right amount of output. I understand that everyone likes something different but this particular one was really a nice vape for me. I’ll go ahead and show you the packaging and the pictures of the outside of the device but there’s just not a lot to talk about on this one so I’ll try to make it as short as possible.

The packaging for the Lite 2 is a very simple box that opens from one end. There is a picture of the actual device contained inside on the front. There is a large warning on both the front and back of the box. The back side of the box has a contents list, specifications, and company information. Inside the box is found the IORE pod sealed in a foil pack much like you would expect to see with a disposable but this isn’t a disposable. The package is ripped open easily and inside is the battery with pod installed. However, there is a safety seal covering the bottom of the pod so you don’t accidentally fire the device before filling the pod.

1671381225415.png

1671381254196.png

The IORE is a very small and lightweight pod device. The body is made of plastic and there is just a single indicator light on the front. No airflow control or output adjustment. I received two samples for this review. One is the white version and the other is the pink. I used mostly the white as I don’t care for pink much at all. One side of the IORE has the ELEAF name printed on it while the opposite side has the IORE LITE 2 name printed on it. Near the bottom is the single indicator light that only illuminates in white. There aren’t different colors to indicate battery level. When the battery becomes completely drained then the light just flashes a few times and doesn’t fire.

1671381310020.png

1671381340338.png

As I mentioned earlier there is not an airflow adjustment but there is a single airflow inlet hole on each side and if you prefer a tighter draw then you can cover one of these holes with a finger to tighten the airflow.

1671381386502.png

The pod opening has magnets inside as well as the two spring loaded contacts. At first I didn’t know if there were magnets since the bottom of the pod doesn’t appear to have any so I took a paper clip and tried to see if it would stick to the bottom of the pod and it didn’t but did stick to the inside of the pod opening. It’s hard to tell exactly but I think there are magnets around the contact pins inside the opening. I could tell that there were some kind of magnets holding the pod in place. However there must just be some metal in the bottom of the pod that is attracted to the magnets in the opening of the battery. The USB-C charging port for the 490mah battery is located on the bottom of the battery so you won’t be standing it up while charging.

1671381428269.png

1671381457522.png

1671381487952.png

The pods for the IORE are disposable and do not use replaceable coils. The pod is clearly marked on one side with the Eleaf name and the 1.0 ohm coil resistance. The pod is a side fill so you will have to remove the pod in order to fill it. I have reviewed a lot of pods and I think the rubber plug on this one is the easiest I have ever used to get a grip on and pull up for refilling. The duck bill style mouthpiece was very comfortable to use and have no issues with it.

1671381529648.png

1671381558840.png

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Every once in a while I get a simple pod that is just a good fit for my style of vaping and the IORE LITE 2 just so happens to be one of those. The slightly restricted airflow matched with the 1.0 ohm coil and a nice output level provided a nice vaping experience for me. I know not everyone likes the same thing but it was a good fit for what I like. Also, from what I have seen online, these are going to be very inexpensive so you could easily afford to have a couple backups to rotate between while one is charging. It’s small and lightweight which makes it a good pocket carry in my experience. I do kind of wish that it had a little more battery capacity but you can get through a whole pod and a little more before it needs recharging.

After filling the pod and waiting a few minutes to get saturated while topping off the battery, I was pleasantly surprised by the airflow and vapor production from this little pod. I honestly wasn’t expecting much with just a 480mah battery. I guess I got lucky because the airflow was just how I like it which is a semi loose MTL draw. I felt like the vapor and flavor production was pretty good using a mint mix that I use a lot at work. After running the pod down about ¾ of the way then I started getting a little gurgling and the output seemed to scale back. At this point I just went ahead and recharged the battery and filled the pod and was back up and running in good condition. This one isn’t going to be good for all day use but would be a good small pocket carry for short trips out and about. Initially I thought it was because the battery was getting low that the gurgling started but after recharging and running the pod down about ¾ of the way again, I refilled the pod without recharging and it vaped fine for a while longer until the battery finally drained and I was forced to recharge again.

Overall, this is really a decent little simplistic pod that would be great for going out shopping or running errands. If I was going to give this one to someone to quit smoking then I would give them two so they can have one charging while using the other due to the small battery size.

I’d like to thank Eleaf and Adela for sending the Eleaf IORE 2 pods for this review. Thanks as always to the readers. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read my reviews. Below is a link to the website if you’d like to take a closer look.

► Aspire Cyber X; First Impressions:
Aspire has recently launched several different Pod devices; Favostix, Flexus, Vilter, Riil and more recently Gotek. The latest pod product line is called "Cyber" and includes the "S", "G", and precisely the "X" version object of this test. Aspire Cyber X owns a futuristic design made up of a combination of transparent plastic + aluminum alloy, it feels extremely solid and luxurious in appearance, this time the company has created a new more refined and squared shape, we can clearly see the details of each component inside the Mod and we can also observe the level of the liquid remaining inside the cartridge. The cartridge used is fully compatible with Cyber S. Furthermore, Cyber X thanks to its design and its compactness is ultra-portable and flexible in use, it fits perfectly in the palm of our hand and easily fits into any pocket.

Aspire-Cyber-X-8.jpg

Furthermore Aspire Cyber X thanks to the attachment obtained in the upper part of the narrow rear side can be easily worn with the help of the soft and elastic collar supplied in the kit. The hole for the passage of air to the cartridge is obtained on the control panel above the Fire button. The Fire button turns the Mod on/off in five clicks.

Aspire-Cyber-X-9.jpg

The transparent side with its "X" design allows you to view each internal organ. The level of liquid in the cartridge can be easily viewed at any time. On this panel there are some minimally invasive white writings that recall the new generation of this device, in the center there is a circle with the new Aspire logo (0I) inside.

With 3 clicks on the Fire button you can select your favorite vape mode, two small circular LEDs emit a strong white light and allow you to view the extraction setting, while the LEDs flash you can change your choice by pressing the button again and confirm the choice by pressing the key again.

• Mode A: upper led on, the automatic extraction mode is activated.
• Mode B: lower led on, manual extraction mode is activated.
• AB mode: Both LEDs on, both automatic and manual extraction modes are activated.

Aspire-Cyber-X-11.jpg

The "X" symbol is also represented on the metal side and also on this side there is a circle in the center, this time inside the circle is the Aspire writing. There are 4 diagonally arranged LED lights that can show security notifications through different flash and color combinations. In addition, the lights depending on the current charge level emit 3 different colors during vape and during recharging.

Aspire-Cyber-X-12.jpg

The 5V 2A charging port is positioned on the lower base and allows the 1,000mAh battery to be recharged in a very short time of only 35 minutes. When you insert the Type C connector to recharge the device, the Led lights show the charge level (even during vaping) as follows:

• Red LEDs: The charge level of the device is less than 30%
• Blue Led: The charge level of the device is between 30 and 60%
• Green LEDs: The charge level of the device is between 60 and 100%

Aspire-Cyber-X-13.jpg

Inside the compartment/pod are present; the puffs automatic activation sensor, the air passage channel towards the coil, and two magnets to keep the cartridge firmly in place. There is a sticker on the bottom of the pre-installed cartridge that needs to be removed.

Aspire-Cyber-X-14.jpg

► Aspire Cyber X; Disposable Pods:
The cartridge supplied with Cyber X TPD has a black spout that has a comfortable anatomical shape for the lips. After removing the protective sticker on the bottom of the cartridge you can see two different air ducting holes, one hole is bigger (RDL) and one hole is smaller (MTL).

Aspire-Cyber-X-15.jpg

You can quickly vary the MTL or RDL vaping mode by simply changing the direction of insertion of the cartridge into the mod.

Aspire-Cyber-X-16.jpg

The kit includes two different disposable Pods (TPD 2ml), both with internal Mesh resistance, one with a resistive value of 0.8Ω and the other with 1.0Ω. Once the black spout has been removed, you can conveniently fill the cartridge through the refill port which is equipped with a safety membrane. One aspect that I really liked is that when filling it is not necessary to remove the cartridge from the device.

Aspire-Cyber-X-17.jpg

► Aspire Cyber X; Vape test and final conclusions:
For this test I used "crispy" concentrated aroma diluted 10% in a 50:50 solution of VG/PG with 3mg/ml boost.
Also available separately are oversized 3ml cartridges with side filling, the 3ml and 2ml cartridges (visible in the image below) are fully compatible with Cyber X and S devices.

Aspire-Cyber-X-18.jpg

The Cyber X Pod-Mod offers extensive control over the type of draw which can be selected with 3 different activation modes. The modern ASP chip offers extensive security features. The built-in 1000mAh battery has excellent durability and guarantees a constant output voltage of 3.4 volts. With 2A USB Type-C fast charging, the battery is fully charged in no time. Aspire's Cyber X is definitely a winner in its category, because it is suitable for newbies who seek both narrow MTL vaping and moderately smooth RDL vaping. Thanks to its captivating squared and compact design, Cyber X can be easily transported and can be comfortably worn using its fine lanyard supplied.

I would like to thank Aspire for providing me with the kit. I hope this review has been helpful for anyone looking to buy Cyber X.

Thanks for reading.

Wonder Flavors Single Flavor Tests Series II Reviewed by SessionDrummer

Alright, let's add some MORE to this, the Part II of my Wonder Flavors run. Mixing these up now, and as always, will let them steep 1+ week before testing. 3.5% worked out really good for all of the previous ones, so I'm going to stay at that percentage.

20221110_202232.jpg

**Almond Cookie (WF) 3.5% (12-11-22)** -- Yum, yum, and MORE yum. Right away I could tell this one was good, and wasn't going to need any tweaking to get there. An almost perfectly buttery, shortbread cookie, with a sweet almond. The almond was present without being overbearing and/or bitter, and had some creamy aspects to it. The buttery shortbread was perfectly paired with it, and had some good grainy-ness to it, which kept the authenticity very high. There were some vanilla undertones swirling around, but lower in the mix. As it stood, I had an impossible time trying to find faults with this one, as it did what it did, and it did it well. Solo'd it was very good, and didn't scream that it needed to be tweaked, or fixed. Handily done by WF on this one, and leaving it at **9.8/10**.

**Blueberry Smoothie (WF) 3.5% (12-11-22)** -- First one, in this series. Right out of the gate this one hit you with a fairly artificial, and PUNCHY blueberry. I'm not sure if WF tempered it with some currants or not, but the punchy, almost jammy-ness was the star of the show. Now the smoothie was more of a mystery, as it was def. in there, but hard to identify. It wasn't overtly creamy, or tangy like a yogurt, but it stayed there below the blueberry throughout. Despite not being identifiable it was there and did create a semi rich (with mouthfeel) carrier for the blueberry. I personally would have preferred a more natural BB, but mostly artificial is what you got with this one. It was actually good in spite of that. Minor markdowns for the lack of a real "smoothie" only. It felt good at **7.5/10**.

**Bavarian Cream (WF) 3.5% (12-12-22)** -- This one smelled like it might be the most accurate Bavarian Cream I've tested yet, BUT, and there's always a but. BUT, the smell didn't fully translate into the taste. @ 3.5% it presented as a very LIGHT Bav Cream, with many of the darker, somewhat caramel-y, almost brulee type notes that some BC's don't have. Accurate, wispy light, and tasty. Some flavors you know you've under mixed, and can easily be fixed by upping the usage, but this one was just a light flavor. The vanilla was again, very accurate to a true BC, with darker overtones, but without being overpowering. Beyond the lighter taste, it didn't impart a particular rich creamy mouthfeel. If this one tasted like it smelled we'd be in upper 9 territory, but with such a light flavor, I have to click it down a bit. All in, a very accurate BC, slightly creamy, with great darker vanilla / brulee notes. Fairly placing it at a **7/10**.

**Cream Custard (WF) 3.5% (12-13-22)** -- I don't know what YOU think about when you hear "Custard" but I think typically of a egg-ish, maybe pudding-like, buttery, and rich, well .... Custard. This one proved to be somewhat of a mystery, and you'll see why. First off, it was good, ....... very good, BUT, not sure if I'd call it a anything custard. Missing were much/most of the heavier buttery, and eggy elements, which left, a fairly rich, creamy, "something". Def. creamy, def. fairly rich, and it almost seemed devoid of any vanilla, but I thought it was peeking through every once in a while. It had a very unique almost powdered sugar / confectioners sugary type finish which was unexpected, and seemed to REALLY work. Richer and denser than a whipped cream, so it was pushed out of that category, but def. in the rich cream category. Pretty interesting to say the least. @ 3.5% it was as full as it would probably get. Hard to exactly quantify beyond what I've done so far. No eggs or vanilla, but a fairly rich cream/creamery with an almost powdered sugar finish. If you're in the market for a great rich cream, but don't want the egg, sign yourself up for this one. Despite it being named "custard", it didn't feel fair to down mark it too much for that, as it was a great flavor. With that said, it felt good and fair @ **9/10**.

Keep in mind what @Letitia said above on the WF Bavarian Cream review, as this one was similar, and many people may NOT want the overtly, in your face aspect that many flavors deliver, and this one was similar in that respect.

For those like me that prefer a lighter mouth feel that doesn’t linger WF Bavarian Cream is a great option.

**Crepe (WF) 3.5% (12-14-22)** -- I'll start this one by saying it wasn't entirely "crepe-y". It was in the ballpark somewhat, but I was constantly comparing it to FA's Custard with a spicy undernote, which I couldn't fully identify, maybe anise ?? Either way, it was semi creamy, with a light lemon overtone, and some slight bakery, and spice on the bottom. Not terrible, but not really identifiable as a crepe. Surely it could be use as a "baser" to get to a crepe, but not as the main driver. @ 3.5% it felt as present as it could get, and had no off-notes, except for maybe the underlying spice notes. I didn't get any real buttery-ness from it, so that subtracted from the desired profile as well. Average, but not great. Good base, not the star of the show. Placing it at a **6.5/10**.

**French Vanilla (Thick) (WF) 3.5% (12-16-22)** -- I was REALLY looking forward to getting into this one, and the slight delay in posting was because I couldn't stop "sampling" it, hehe. It is and was a GREAT French Vanilla], and honestly, it WAS "thick". I burned through two testers trying to figure out how to explain the thickness, because I was sure the assumption would be that of a milkshake flavor, which this was not. I'm not sure how Wonder Flavors did it, but they made it thick, but NOT into a milkshake. Pretty impressive to my tastes. It had all the characteristics of a good French Vanilla, no overt dairy or milkshake notes, BUT, it did convey a thickness that carried over onto a great mouthfeel. Obviously this would work VERY well in anything where you needed an FV, including anything Milk Shake-y. @ 3.5% this one was very full, fairly rich, and at about mid level sweet. Two testers in, I think I already added a bigger bottle to my cart. No off-putting notes, and it was convincingly accurate, tasty, and clean. The room note, smell, and taste were all spot on, and it was hard to put down. What makes this a real winner is where, and how much you could use it. Nicely done, and placing it @ **9.9/10.**

**Graham Cracker Pie Crust (WF) 3.5% (12-16-22)**
-- I have been obsessed with GC's about as long as I've been with S'mores, so I'm always on the prowl. This one presented as a "foundational" graham cracker. Wait, what ?? Yes, foundational. It had all the aspect of a great graham cracker, BUT didn't fully have the impact, even at 3.5% to carry the full freight IMO. Now, it was not bad in any way/shape/form, as it checked all the boxes, and the only minor markdowns would be for presence, and grain. It didn't really have the grainy bakery nuances that would have pushed it up into the stellar category. Very true and natural tasting, with ZERO off-putting notes, and @ 3.5% it felt at or near it's top end. Now what I REALLY liked was it was DEVOID of any coconut notes, which would completely open up it's usage. It wasn't dry, and I didn't get much if any buttery-ness to it, but more just a great, natural tasting graham cracker. Until I narrowed in on the lack of coconut notes I was going to rate it @ 7.5, but with the no coconut in play, it felt better @ **8.75/10**.

**Orange (Citrus Tangy) (WF) 3.5% (12-16-22)** -- Going into this one, I wonder whether or not it would be LIKE Tang, or Tangy. It turned out to be the latter, with a mostly natural tasting orange, with a decidedly "tangy" finish. I couldn't find any Lemon or Lime, so how they did it exactly MAY remain a mystery. Tang not only has an interesting history, but uses a combination of Ascorbic and Citric acids (plus other ingredients) to give it that punch. Bright, punchy, and I'd say a 75% natural / 25% artificial taste is what this delivered in spades @ 3.5%. Super present, but non-fatiguing, nor hitting the ceiling, and about 2 ticks above mid-level sweet. It's an interesting flavor to taste, as I had aasumed (again) that it would have been a simple Orange with "Tart and Sour" added, but it actually presented as more complex than that. This one was spot on to it's name. No off-putting notes, and hard to mark down. Tang-ily placing this one @ **9.2/10**.

**Orange Juice (WF) 3.5% (12-16-22)**
-- I intentionally wanted to run this one back to back with the Orange (Citrus Tangy), so I could really A/B compare/contrast them. What do you know, everything BUT the PULP !!! This one was exempt from much of the "tangy" that I got from the aforementioned, but it was still really good. Except for orange creamsicles, I don't really dabble much in the orange realm but after these two from WF, I think I might change that. This one was more of an even keeled orange, with about the same 75% natural / 25% artificial as the tangy, and it just tasted like it should. Start to finish, it didn't leave you wanting, and had no off-notes at this weight. Sweetness was about mid level, and much like eating a real orange, the orange citrus notes lingered after you were done. Although this and the tangy presented at about the same ratio of natual / artificial this one would work better where a more tradional orange was needed. Despite NOT being an Orange-Head, I liked this one, and had issue trying to down rate it. For a clean, natural tasting orange, without the pulp, this one gets it done. **9.0/10**.

**Shortbread Cookies (WF) 3.5% (12-17-22)** -- Butter, butter, and MO butter is the word of the day with this one. OK, maybe not THAT much, but this flavor, but you get a healthy dose. Now that's good, because WF kept this one true to a true Shortbread Cookie, which literally has three ingredients. Flour, sugar, butter. All three were present, and surprisingly, not as sweet as I had predicted, with a below mid level sweetness. The "crumbly" aspects of a SBC were captured pretty well, as well as the (duh), butta !!! The butter while predominant, wasn't dominant or overbearing, and sat well in the mix. At 3.5% it was full, and rich, without any off-notes or signs of over-flavoring. Somewhat relaxed, and fairly neutral, which left it as a blank canvas to build from with enhancers, jams, whatever you needs. I didn't get a huge amount of grain/grainy-ness, and not sure if that detracted or not. All in, a nice accurate, true to name Shortbread Cookie, which was a blank canvas to build from. Minor take offs for lacking grains, but that's about it. **8.8/10**.

**Tangerine (WF) 3.5% (12-17-22)** -- This one smelled great in the bottle, and when finger testing, but something got lost in translation when testing. It simply presented as an almost dull orange hue, almost like the base body of "Tang", but missing most of the upper mid and high notes. It's hard to explain, but it wasn't muted, but rather just a non-descript orange-ish, sweet flavor with no real direction towards a tangerine. Maybe a sweetened citrus oil of sorts, but hard to identify with specificity. Would surely work in the low end of a base, but def. not the star of the show, or carrying the main freight of a tangerine. At 3.5% it seemed as full as it would ever get, and at about mid-level sweetness. As a base/r only, would leave it solidly at a **5.5/10**

**Tahitian Vanilla Cream (WF) 3.5% (12-17-22)**
-- Ohh yes, HERE we go. YES, this one is a MUST HAVE. There you go, in the second sentence in the review. Stop reading, go clicky, clicky, buy now LOL. OK, I have to give you more than that, right ? OK, for starters, this isn't what I would call a pure Tahitian Vanilla, BUT, that's OK, because it is a flavor POWERHOUSE. Total stand alone, One-Shot right here people. Tahitian Van actually has lower levels of vanillin, but if I didn't know better, I think Wonder Flavors snuck in a smidge of Crumble Topping in here !!! I'm surprised no one else caught this, as I've seen NO mention of it anywhere, but I'm convinced. This was super delicious, rich, and full @ 3.5% and it tasted perfect at this level. Rich, but not buttery per se, but very full, complex, and did NOT leave you wanting. Many Vanillas with very high levels of Vanillin can be very Vanilla-y, but can come across as thin overall. Not this one. as it was FAR more than JUST a Vanilla. It did have a nice creamy nuance to it, but it really had an impact, and far more so than JUST a vanilla and cream. As a crude ratio analysis, call it a 50% vanilla, 25% cream, and 25% crumble. Now it that doesn't wet your whistle, I don't know what will. Utterly countless uses for this one ranging from everything bakery, to custards, creams, and more, so buy a BIG bottle, as you'll be using it a lot. 3 full testers down, enjoying it, errrrr, trying to find faults with it and I couldn't. If you are looking for a strict, or pure vanilla, this one isn't that, but if you want a deliciously rich, and full vanilla desert, this one IS it. Sorry guys, I can't go lower than **10/10** on this one.

**Vanilla Custard (WF) 3.5% (12-17-22)** -- Alrighty, the LAST ONE in this big ... series, the VC. I think reviewing VC's is one of the HARDEST flavors to review, as what people actually want out of them, varies WILDLY. So there isn't one that the best for everyone. This one to my tastes, was actually quite good, and here's why. It presented as a mix of a traditional eggy custard, and a pudding. The ratio was hard to quantify, but I'm going to settle on 60% Custard / 40% pudding, with the custard obviously in the lead. Although there was some egg-y-ness, it wasn't overpowering, overwhelming, or off-putting (for those of you who don't love the heavy eggy-ness). I think WF did a good job straddling both sides of the road, to increase the appeal. Now if you want(ed) a straight eggy custard, or straight pudding, this isn't for you, but if you're in the middle, I think it will be. At 3.5% it was smack on delicious and full, and had similar nuances like many of the existing VC's, egg, butter, some vanilla, rich, creamy, etc. It was actually below mid level sweet, and I didn't detect any off notes throughout 3 testers (for science and #$%^&). the mouthfeel was great, and with my personal tastes being a custard/pudding mix, I couldn't really mark it down. Just a very slight dryness on the finish, but it was so minor, I hesitated to mention it. For a great, creamy, rich VC, that straddles both the traditional custard and pudding this one might need a spot on your rack. With nothing other than some vanilla swirling around, this one could be push/pulled into almost anything you could want or need. Finishing the series with a BANG, and leaving this at **9.8/10**.

510-threaded flashlight head

It's been a while since I posted, mostly because I was done stocking up and have been very preoccupied with other issues.

I stumbled upon a manufacturer that is selling 510-threaded flashlight heads and complete flashlights.

They're sold by Kennedy Tactical. Yes, THAT Kennedy. Still made in the US of A

They sell complete flashlights in 25 and 28 mm sizes and in the same materials/colors as their previous line of products. It appears that the flashlight bodies are identical to their previous line of products (imagine that). They are sold as complete flashlights, and the heads/bodies are also sold separately.

Some of the variations are out of stock already, but I just purchased a complete 25mm black cerakoted flashlight. I signed up for their newsletter too.

There are some comments on Reddit that the company is down to one employee and that it takes a long time for shipping.

They take paypal.

Have fun wiping out the rest of their stock!

BP MODS TMD DOT TANK review by hittman

Hello everyone! I’m glad to be back with another review for Dovpo/BP Mods. This time I was sent a few different things but am going to start with the BP Mods TMD Dot Tank. This was sent to me by Dovpo in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. I personally have learned a lot lately about the difference between Dot and Boro tanks and what devices they fit in. I had only used Boro tanks in the past but had just recently bought the SXmini Vi mod that uses the Dot style tanks. They are smaller than the Boro type tanks so are not interchangeable. Luckily I had just gotten the new mod days before receiving this tank for review. The TMD Dot Tank is a pre-built coil tank and comes with two coils. In order to use it in the Vi mod you have to purchase a separate adapter which I just so happened to buy with the mod. The tank has a liquid capacity of 2.6ml and is made of PCTG. Besides the two included coils, it is also compatible with the PNP and GTX series coils from Voopoo and Vaporesso. I’m honestly a little surprised that they advertise this but am glad that they do. To me it shows that they believe in their products and aren’t afraid to let you know everything that they do about the tank.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Dot tank is nice. It’s the usual orange box with a black sleeve that slides over with the product name that BP Mods uses frequently. The back side of the sleeve has the package contents list, authenticity code, a sketch of the tank, and company information.

1671292011832.png

1671292029252.png

Once the sleeve and box top are removed then you are greeted by the Dot Tank sitting in a foam insert with the user manual and information card sitting on top. The tank is in a nice foam insert instead of a cheap plastic one like I see a lot of samples arrive in. To the side is an accessory box which contains a bag of spare seals for the tank only since the coils are also in foil packs in the foam insert below the tank.

1671292070919.png

I’m hoping to make this pretty short since this is a pre-built coil tank and there is no building involved. The face of the tank has the usual rubber plug that you lift for filling the tank. I like to put just a little liquid in the tank before inserting it into the device being used to make sure the coil is good and I have a good connection. The TMD Dot Tank name is printed on the bottom and you can see the long slotted airflow control ring. You want to make sure this is facing out when you insert the tank into the mod so you can adjust the airflow once the tank is installed.

1671292102862.png

To insert the coil, you simply pull off the bottom of the tank that has the airflow control attached. The coils are a push in style so once you make sure the coil is seated then replace the bottom of the tank and insert it into your Dot device. This tank does not fit in Boro style devices.

1671292143368.png

The coils included with the Dot tank are the TMD .55 ohm coil rated for 28-35 watts and the TMD 1.05 ohm coil rated for 10-13.5 watts. The choice of a 1.05 ohm coil seems odd but that’s what it is. In the third and fourth pictures below you can see the size of the openings on the top of the coils which directly affects how much airflow is available even when the airflow control ring is wide open. The smaller opening in the 1.05 ohm coil greatly reduces the airflow resulting in an MTL vape that can be about as tight as you want it.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I am very glad to have had a chance to try the BP Mods TMD Dot Tank. I just recently got my first Dot style mod and was thinking about buying this tank anyway. Besides it being able to take the TMD coils, it also can use GTX and PNP coils which is a definitely plus for me since I have pretty good stockpiles of both of those types of coils. There are some restrictions on the coils that are compatible though. The Voopoo R/M coils and GTX coils above .6 ohm will not work. The reason the GTX coils won’t work is that the size of the end of the coils is smaller on the higher resistance coils.

Since the only device I had to test these in is the SX Mini Vi class mod then that is what I used. A word of warning to others. If you are using this tank in the Vi then you will have to buy the adapter separate to allow this mod to use the Dot style tanks since they are shorter than the stock tank that comes with the mod.

I first decided to try the .55 ohm coil in the tank. Just a reminder, always prime your coils before inserting them into the tank. I found this coil to provide very good flavor and vapor production while running wattage at 32 watts and the airflow was about ¾ open. I have no complaints on this coil.

Next I decided to test out the 1.05 ohm coil. To be honest, I was less than excited about testing this higher ohm coil that is limited to a maximum of 13.5 watts. It’s just not a range that I normally operate in. Just like with the .55 coil, I used my RY4 Cream recipe to try to get a feel for the flavor production. I made a stupid mistake and fired the coil without turning my wattage down from where I was running the .55 coil and instantly burned it. Luckily Dovpo was nice enough to send extra coils so I removed the tank, cleaned it, and inserted a new 1.05 ohm coil. I started out at 10 watts and quickly worked my way up to 11 and then to the maximum 13.5 watts. The flavor is decent and vapor production was greatly reduced. Even with the airflow wide open it’s just a slightly loose MTL. It’s not bad but just not a good fit for my vaping style.

I’d like to thank Dovpo and Dorothy for sending the BP Mods TMD Dot Tank for this review. I have enjoyed testing it. Thanks also to the readers for making this possible. Below is a link to the Dovpo site where you can find the BP Mods products as well as the Dovpo products.

VANDY VAPE PULSE AIO.5 KIT review by hittman

Here I am again with another review for you. This time I was sent the Vandy Vape Pulse AIO.5 Kit by Sourcemore in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. The Pulse AIO.5 is the second edition of the Pulse. It has the ability to use 21700, 20700, or 18650 batteries with the included adapter. It has a maximum output of 80 watts and is what I call a boro type device. There are two different versions of this kit. One comes with just pre-built coil tank and for an additional charge you can get what they are calling a Vessel DIY RBA tank. I received the pre-built coil version only which uses the VVC series coils. I think it’s very nice that the kit comes with an extra set of panels because it also includes a second button panel that you can switch out depending on whether you want to use the round button with the panels that have the round hole cut or the square button panel with the corresponding side panels.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

I found the packaging for the Pulse AIO.5 rather interesting. If you’ve read many of my reviews then you know that I like viewing windows on packaging. This one is a real treat for me because it has viewing windows on both sides of the box. The front has the Tony B Project written on the top. I don’t know much about him besides he helped design both of the Pulse mods. On the bottom is the Pulse AIO.5 name and through the viewing window you can see the mod, pre-built coil tank, and drip tip. There is a different kit that comes with an rba tank but Sourcemore did not send that kit so I won’t be covering the vessel rba. I noticed immediately that this updated version has a square button instead of a round button like the original.

On the opposite side is a second viewing window where you can see a second set of panels are included and have a really nice design on them. To the right of the panels is a round fire button panel that can be used only with this second set of doors that also have a round cut out for the round fire button. As much as I like the square button, I like the round button panels much better and immediately swapped out the button panel so I could use the side panels with the nice design on them.

Some time ago, I reviewed the original Pulse AIO. From my understanding, some people had issues with the top of the Pulse breaking from over tightening the nut on top. I never had that issue. So with this updated version there is an extra metal ring around the top of the nut housing on top and the body of the unit has been reinforced on top. Also they body was made from a different material from what I have heard. However, once Vandy Vape was aware of it then they started replacing units under warranty. It is good to hear about a company standing behind their products like that. Since I have already reviewed the original Pulse AIO, here is a link to my prior review (10) VANDY VAPE PULSE AIO KIT review by hittman | E-Cigarette Forum (e-cigarette-forum.com).

As I mentioned earlier, the AIO.5 comes with the square button panel installed. I do like the pulse symbol on the metal ring around the fire button but like the side covers with the round button cut out better so immediately changed the button panel. To do this you need to remove the four screws in that panel. There is an allen wrench included but it’s much easier if you have a screwdriver with magnetic bits. The screws are very small and can be a little hard to get a grip on. Initially the 18650 adapter is sitting inside the battery compartment but I always use a 21700 when I can so set the adapter to the side and installed the larger battery.

In the second picture below you can see the 21700 battery installed as well as the pre-built coil tank that was included in the kit I received. That side has the Pulse and Tony B names below the opening for the tank. One of the included drip tips is installed but end up using either of the included tips.

The third picture below is after I installed the round button panel and the extra side covers that were included. I like these side covers much better than the plain black ones. I kind of wish that these would have been the ones with the square cut out so I could have used the square button with these.

The display for the AIO.5 is fairly basic and shows Set Wattage, Coil Resistance, Puff Counter, and Battery Indicator. The fire button is located above the display while the + and – buttons as well as the USB-C charging port are below. The USB-C port offers a charging rate of 5V/1000mah although no one ever recommends charging inside a mod. The menu/button operation for the AIO.5 is as follows.

  • Press the fire button 5X to turn the device on/off
  • Press the fire button and the – button to reset or retrieve the puff counter
  • Press the fire button and the + button to lock the adjustment buttons
  • Press the fire button 3X and the wattage will flash. Use the + and – buttons to choose between Wattage, Voltage, TC (SS, TI, Ni), Bypass.

The tank included with the basic kit is called the Pulse Vessel Prebuilt Tank. The tank is clear which I like very much. The white fill plug that you lift to fill the tank seems kind of thin and cheaply made. I’m not sure how long that will last. However, you can use about any boro tank in this so if you have a couple others wondering around like I do then the plug is no worry. T

The coils included with the tank are VVC-30 which is .3 ohm and rated at 30-45 watts and the VVC-60 which is .6 ohm and rated at 18-26 watts. The coils are a simple push in type coil and just seats into the bottom of the tank which has an airflow control ring built into it. All of the VVC series of coils are compatible with this unit. Once the coil is primed, inserted, and the tank is filled then you simply slide it into the AIO.5 and screw the top nut down to hold the tank in place. The kit comes with two white drip tips but I really didn’t like either one of them and ended up using one of my own 510 drip tips.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I have just started getting into AIO or Boro type devices the last year or so. I like the idea of the tank being protected inside the mod with only the drip tip being exposed. I liked the original Pulse AIO and very much like the AIO.5 with its upgrades like the metal support plate on top, the reinforced frame, and the use of a stronger material in the Lexan that was used.

I like the side covers with the design on them but wish that I could use the square button with them. I could always use the panel with the design on it on the back and use the plain black one with the square button panel on the front. It’s very nice that they include two sets of side covers and two button panels in the kit. I would have liked to have gotten the Vessel RBA to try out but unfortunately was not sent the deluxe version of the kit.

I started out using the .3 ohm coil in the tank with an RY4 Cream recipe that I very much like. I had about 400 puffs on the counter and the coil was still performing pretty well when I made the switch to the second coil. I thought the flavor and vapor production was very good while running the mod at 38 watts and the airflow control completely open.

Next up I switched out the coil to the .6 ohm coil. By the way, I would suggest keeping track of the tool that comes with the kit. It not only is good for tightening the top nut but also makes pulling out a coil much easier than doing it with your fingers. I ran this coil starting at 18 watts and worked up slowly from there. I ran it at 22 watts with the airflow half open and got what I thought was very good flavor from it. I was actually kind of impressed with the flavor while using the same RY4 recipe. After a day or two I tried running it up to 24 watts which was still in the operating range but after a few puffs I felt like the coils wasn’t staying saturated and the puffs seemed a little dry/slightly burned tasting so I went ahead and dialed it back to 22 watts and it was fine again. This took place with about 250 puffs on the counter.

Overall, I think the Vandy Vape Pulse AIO.5 is a pretty nice device and would recommend it if you like AIO/Boro type devices. I don’t have very large hands so the body of the AIO.5 is a little wide for me but I can still put my hand around it and fire it with my thumb. I look forward to trying some of my other boro style tanks and rbas in it.

I’d like to thank Sourcemore and Kavis for sending the Vandy Vape Pulse AIO.5 for this review. As always, thanks to you the readers. I greatly appreciate you taking time to read my reviews. I have a coupon code for you below as well as a link to the website.

INNOKIN ENDURA APEX KIT ( MTL ) REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Hello and welcome back friends for todays review of the Endura Apex Kit from Innokin. I was surprised after opening the package that it was a tube styled device because you don't see many of these now days or at least ones with a 510 connection and a wattage adjustment. The Endura Apex stand about the same size or slightly shorter than your typical box mod with a atomizer connected which is good, I am not fond of tall tube devices because they fall over to easy and if a glass atomizer is attached you stand the chance of breaking it. The tank with this kit has a protective metal cage around the glass that is color coded with the device for a nice look. Prior to my review of the Endura Apex Kit lets find out a little about it with some information from Innokin.

The first thing that I wanted to do was check to see to battery strength and find out how full the battery was so I plugged in a type-c charge cord and found the Black one was fully charged while the Green Endura needed some charging before it was full. The power button has a bright LED that surrounds it using a 3 color battery indicator, each time the button is pressed the battery indicator LED will illuminate and shows the strength of the battery. To turn the device on/off press the power button 3 times.
