I was rummaging through Peva71's box and found Ripe Vapes, a very fruity, very cool, candied mango. The freez line offers a selection of the most popular fruits in a very cool version. Since it's based on a candied fruit, you're obviously going to get a sweeter taste that hopefully won't be too cloying. The nose is slightly tart, not too strong mango, and there's also a hint of fresh citrus which makes it very pleasant. On the inhale, you immediately get the distinctive taste of mango fruit, and then on the exhale you get a big dose of cooling. The mango has a ripe, tart flavour that is both spicy and slightly sweet. It's a bit creamy, like a fruit pulp, which brings out the flavours much better. The taste, combined with the smell, gives a really special and piquant effect. The chill is quite strong but complements the mango flavour very well. I'm not so keen on chilled soups, as often over-icing comes at the expense of the basic flavour, but in this case the producer has created a very, very well done summer product. At €14-15, it's not exactly in the cheap category, but being available in 30ml flavour concentrates makes it more accessible to the product's fans. I was completely convinced. Unfortunately, I won't be vaping it all day, as it is in short supply and goes very quickly .

► Hellvape Fusion R Pod Kit; How it is made:
Hellvape for this test sent me two different specimens; one in "Legend Black" color and the other in "Golden Blue" color. It is an elegant and extremely compact "Pod" device enclosed in a robust metal structure where only the upper and lower parts are made of plastic materials. On the front side there is a convenient sliding-type airflow adjustment system. A little further down is the LED for sending protection notifications and for monitoring the battery charge level. The presence of an independent air regulation system is vital to obtain the best MTL performance on a pod device like this.





The side view highlights the elegant decorations present on the "Golden Blue" color version, while the "Legend Black" version sports a more sober appearance with its monochromatic tint. On one side you can see the laser engraved lettering "Fusion R" and on the other side "Hellvape". Also (on one side only) there is a window to monitor the level of liquid inside the cartridge.





Thanks to the presence of a collar, you can decide to wear the Fusion R Pod Kit. If you wish on the upper part near the cartridge there are the holes prepared for attaching the collar.





► Hellvape Fusion R Pod Kit; Operation Guide:
On the bottom there are 3 safety vent holes for the battery, also there is the Type-C 5V / 1A charging port.
* During use and during recharging, the LED light emits indications as follows:
• Red light: <30%
• Blue light: 30-70%
• Green light: 70-100%
• When the LED pulses it indicates the current battery status while charging.
• The green light remains solid when the device is fully charged.

* During use and in the event of malfunctions, the LED light emits indications as follows:
• Low battery protection: Red light flashes 3 times, please charge the device.
• Time limit protection: 10S The blue light flashes 2 times when vaping constantly over 10 seconds, and the output stops.
• Short circuit protection: The red light stays on for 2S when the device is short circuited.





Inside the compartment/pod there are; 3 small holes for channeling the air towards the coil which are externally adjusted by the cursor key. The sensor for activating the automatic puff. The gold-plated electrical contact pins, and finally there are two small but powerful magnets to keep the cartridge firmly bound to the device.



► Hellvape Fusion R Pod Kit; Fusion Cartridges:
Hellvape has foreseen the use of two different disposable refillable cartridges for Fusion R, both with Mesh coils. In the package there is only the 0.8Ω cartridge while you can buy the 1.2Ω one separately.



The classic thin shape of the spout allows a comfortable grip of the lips, the filling takes place laterally by lifting the silicone rubber, so you can insert up to 2ml of e-liquid. The cartridge on the bottom has 2 mirror-like magnets to those present in the compartment/pod. Furthermore there are two small round holes that allow the passage of air towards the coil.



Hellvape kindly sent me two packs of cartridges, one 0.8Ω and one 1.2Ω. Each pack contains 3 replacement cartridges.



► Hellvape Fusion R Pod Kit; Final conclusions and vaping test:
Hellvape with the introduction of a Pod system like this seems to have expanded its production of devices of all genres and for all tastes to 360°. Knowing Hellvape's high quality standard, I'm quite intrigued by Fusion R Pod Kit and I really want to see if Hellvape will be able to stand out even in the crowded Pod system sector. I used one of my favorite liquids "Too Puft" VG/PG 50:50 with 3mg/ml of boost for this test. I would like to start with the negative points but I really think it's impossible to find any, someone could argue that 800mAh is too little, however the device is really small (like a box of matches) and certainly with a bigger battery it would have been heavier and less manageable. Furthermore, the "Fusion R" battery in combination with the 1.2Ω coil guarantees a rather long duration. Finally I can tell you about the positive aspects and I do it very willingly. I was especially surprised by the very high effectiveness of the independent air flow regulation system, in fact the cursor key is solid, well braked and precise in maintaining the position set by the user. By reducing the external airflow, the extraction that follows from the internal air channeling brings a remarkable contrast effect and this will greatly appeal to those looking for a TRUE MTL. The hit in the throat is well balanced and the 3mg/ml boost is felt. The flavor is really decent. The clouds are abundant and dense in combination with the full opening of the afc and the use of the 0.8Ω coil. The consumption of e-liquid is really negligible, another super positive aspect is the fact that I couldn't find the slightest trace of condensation even after rather intense use of this kit.

I've had the pleasure of trying a few flavours from the manufacturer's Classic range, and I think they've done very well. My current choice is a raspberry milkshake flavour called Panda Tears. I hope we don't cry when we swipe on the panda tears , but obviously that's just a fancy name that won't have much to do with the product. The scent is one to one the same as the description. You can smell the raspberry and the frothy milkshake on it. Just smell it and you fall in love. The taste is also very similar to the smell, I'm only writing this because there are many flavours where you get a completely different taste to the smell. Here it's a light, creamy smooth milkshake with a hint of raspberry. The emphasis is on the milky part, which is almost creamy, but not at all sweet. The raspberries are faintly flavoured, as if they've just been thrown in. I've read a few posts where they were short on raspberries, so many places under-starred the product. For my part, it's a perfect milkshake - there's not a lot of raspberries in it, but that doesn't make it sweet or sour. It's about as raspberry-y as the pale pink milkshake in the glass in the picture, just barely. It's meant to be steamed all day, as the flavours are smooth, creamy and not too strong. If you prefer a slightly warmer steam, you can even detect the flavour of boiled milk, where even the raspberries come out more . I received the product for testing from the team at liqudhall, which is the start of a longfill test series on products they sell on their webshop. I'll be back soon with another Croatian product from the KTS kitchen trough.

I have been using the Vandy Vape Pulse V2 for about 6 months. Since I got him he actually didn't squonk very well but I didn't care, but since the last week it has gotten so bad that little to nothing comes out of the squonk tube. I've already done several troubleshooting steps and I found out that there is something in my mod's squonktube. If I poke it in with a pin, I come to a stop about half way. This is due to some kind of metal object I think. I don't know if it should be there or if it's a fabrication error but I think this is causing my problem. It is impossible to take it out because it is completely stuck in it. I do think I could send the product back but if someone has a solution it would cost me a lot of effort.

This is a wicking technique I came up with while getting frustrated with traditional wicking with my Zeus RDA. As you’ll see from the pictures the wick is not going through the coil but rather underneath it. It creates a large pillow of cotton which works great and last a long time. In this particular cycle I put an excess amount of cotton but still works great, holds a lot of liquid and has great flavor. I didn’t have high expectations but it works great..
