Hello and welcome back for yet another review from yours truly. The Vaporesso PT80S was sent to me by Sourcemore in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. Also to hopefully help you decide if it might be something that you would like to try for yourself. The PT80S is a pod mod that came out a while back but I never got a chance to test it out since I lost contact with Vaporesso for a while. Sourcemore was nice enough to agree to send it so I am happy to be able to present a review on it for you. The PT80S uses an 18650 battery to provide 5-80 watts of output and can be charged via the 5V/2A USB-C charging port. I may have to get out my USB tester and see if that holds true. The mod is made of some sort of plastic and is very lightweight even with a battery and tank installed. Although it’s plastic, it has a nice feel to the hand and reminds me of my old Revenger silk version as far as the hand feel. Included with the kit is the X Tank which has a 4.5ml liquid capacity and uses the tried and true GTX series of coils that incorporate the SSS leak-resistant technology with a liquid self-circulation system. Sounds pretty good on paper but let’s see how it performs.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

I received the Aegean Blue version for my review. I actually requested the blue and was very happy that Sourcemore was able to oblige. The package for the PT80S is a little different from other Vaporesso samples I’ve received lately. Instead of being black and green, this one is white with a color picture of the device and the product name surrounded by colorful swirls. The back side of the outer sleeve contains a list of specifications, packing list, company information, and the product name and color listed above the bar code. In case you didn’t know it, Smoore Technology is the parent company of Vaporesso.

After sliding the outer sleeve off, the PT80S is visible sitting in a plastic tray. A lot of samples have a tray that lifts out but this one is glued in place. On the right side is a tab sticking out that allows you to lift the flap up to find the two coils, user manual, warranty card, and USB-C charging cable. The two coils included in the kit are the GTX .3 ohm mesh coil rated at 32-45 watts and the GTX .15 ohm mesh coil rated at 60-75 watts. Of course with the .15 ohm coil the battery will not last for a long period of time while pushing the mod near to the limit of its output.

The left side has the Vaporesso name stamped into the side of the body while the right side has no branding. As I mentioned earlier the mod has what I would call a silky feeling to it rather than a cheap plastic feeling. It still amazes me after using it over a week as to how lightweight it is. The back of the mod gives the appearance of a carbon fiber or some sort of texturing like we are used to seeing on mods with padded backs but this is not. It feels like it’s a molded part of the body with texturing. I really like the hand feel of it.

The pod opening on the top of the mod has the standard two gold plated spring loaded contacts we are used to seeing and the surrounding metal plate is secured by two torx head screws. One thing that is different is there are two pins sticking up from that plate on the right side of the picture below. I think this is a really cool feature. Those two pins fit inside the opening in the bottom of the pod to lock the pod into place and keep it from spinning in the opening on the mod. When you install the pod, you can just rotate the pod until you hit the right spot for it to drop into place and the pins keep it from rotating.

The PT80s uses a single 18650 battery that is loaded in the side by removing the C frame cover. The battery polarity is clearly marked and there are two magnets on the body and two on the cover that hold the cover securely with no rattle. The battery is loaded with the positive post on the bottom which is spring loaded to hold tension on the battery.

The front of the PT80S has a large round fire button on top followed by a .91” OLED display, plus and minus adjustment buttons, and the USB-C charging port. The display on this one is pretty simplistic and a little old school compared to some of the mods out these days. The display shows the following information.

• Battery indicator
• Coil resistance
• Puff counter
• Set wattage

Menu/ button operation of the PT80S is similar to what I’ve seen on other Vaporesso mods. The operation is as follows.

• Press the fire button five times to turn the device on/off
• Press the fire button three times to lock/unlock
• Press the fire button and the – button to clear the puff counter
• Press the fire button and the + button to flip the screen
• Press the + and – buttons to enter the menu where you can select from VW, VV, Smart VW, Default, or Exit

The X Tank Pod that is included in the kit has a 4.5ml liquid capacity which is a decent size for a setup like this but can be gone through fairly quickly running the .15 ohm coil using the rated wattage range. I have to say that the X Tank Pod has a somewhat striking similarity with how the airflow control/ fill port ring is designed. When I first saw it, I immediately recognized the design. To fill the tank, you turn the airflow control ring all the way closed to expose the rubber plug on the side that is lifted to fill the tank. Once filled, replace the plug and turn the ring to adjust the airflow. Whether using the .3 or the .15 ohm coil, I preferred the airflow control completely open. The coils compatible with the X Pod Tank are the GTX series coils that have been around a long time now. To install a coil you simply push the coils in and align the flat of the coil with the cut outs in the base of the tank. The drip tip for this tank is not replaceable but is comfortable to use in my opinion.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I have to say that the PT80S surprised me from the moment I opened it. I very much like the blue color of the sample I received but what really got me was how lightweight the mod is even after installing the battery and filling the tank. The battery is loaded via the C frame style battery compartment which I am a fan of that style.

The GTX coils are tried and true in my book. They produce very good flavor and as usual with these coils, I experienced no leaking thanks to the SSS 2.0 leak resistant technology that Vaporesso has perfected. Another nice thing about the GTX coils is that there are so many different resistances available that they can meet almost any user’s needs. One thing to remember with these coils is that the size of the opening in these coils decreases as the resistance goes up which directly affects the amount of airflow available despite using the same tank or pod.

Out of the two coils included in the kit, I preferred the .3 ohm coil at about 35 watts with the airflow control wide open. I got very good flavor and vapor production with this coil. Normally I usually prefer the .2 coil out of the available GTX coils and run it 40-45 watts.

The .15 ohm coil also included in the kit produced good flavor and plentiful vapor. I started out running the coil at about 48 watts and worked my way up to 60 watts which is the bottom end of the wattage range for this coil. For me, 60 watts was too warm and if I chain vaped then the non-replaceable drip tip got a little uncomfortably hot. I found my happy spot with the wattage set at 55 watts and the airflow once again wide open. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it but it kind of seemed like there was something off with the airflow. Maybe a little turbulent or something. Like I said, I couldn’t really decide what it was but seemed a little off. I know that companies tend to copy or use similar designs and have seen it many times but the X Tank Pod seemed very similar to a pod tank that I have reviewed from a different company. Although it was fairly comfortable to use, I do kind of wish that the drip tip was replaceable.

And here we are at the end again. So, would I recommend the Vaporesso PT80S for you? If you’re looking for a very lightweight pod mod that has a wide variety of good quality coils available then yes I would. I enjoyed testing it and have a good stockpile of GTX coils could easily see this joining my rotation of devices.

First up is a Limelight Wicket AIO, delrin 18650 DNA60. Includes factory packaging, DNA Escribe adapter, 510 nut, and additional top button front panel. Also with the new nylon body is an improved positive contact. The internals from the resin body swap right over. Mod is in excellent used condition.

I've noticed that recently an extra one or two fees is added on when I purchase online including a signature fee and some other fee, and so I'm wondering if it's really worth it to purchase online. It seems like the price difference between buying online and going to a store is pretty minute at this point. Plus, you have to wait around for the person to deliver it so you can sign for the package and of course you have to wait at least a week for your package to arrive. What do you guys think?

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I had no idea that Innokin was sending a closed vape system to me and was surprised when I opened it. All the disposable devices I've tried in the past were OK at best so I didn't have a good feeling. I'm happy to report the Innobar C1 is a rechargeable device with a 450mAh internal battery and has a constant output of 3.6 volts, that alone is a big plus. Looking everything over I was eager to get started testing this new water based system out. Innokin sent 2 Innobar's and 5 different flavor pods, each box contained 2 individually wrapped pods. The 2 Innobar devices are also sealed in a wrapper.









Before using the device I wanted to charge it to it's full capacity, the USB-C charge port is located on the bottom and when a charge cord is plugged in a blue LED lights up the bottom portion as well as a small light. A charge cord does not come with the Innobar so you will need to use one of your own. A instruction pamphlet is provided.

Apple , Lime and Berlingot candy flavouring to be blended at 8-10% according to the manufacturer. I mixed 10% with 70VG-30PG base and let it rest for two weeks. The final ingredient is "Berlingot candy" a pyramid shaped candy made from candied fruit syrup. It doesn't play such a big role in this flavour, so let's stick to the candy. The flavours are sour and strong, dictated by the apple and lime. The candy and the blue raspberry are barely noticeable, just a hint of being there. Wotofo NexPOD Pod-Based Disposables Review: How Disposables Ought To Be!



What’s up, ECF?! I am back again with another review of one of Wotofo’s newest products: the nexPOD System! These were kindly sent to me for review by Wotofo (thank you, Cara!).

So, what is it then? Well, it’s kind of a disposables-based system, but not really, and we will see why that is: the reasons that set the nexPOD system apart from classic disposables.

As before, my review will be from my own experience of using these devices in everyday life as a regular vaper.

Quick specs:

• 42 x 23 x 83 mm in dimensions, with the pod installed in the nexPod device. Very small and compact, fits the palm of one’s hand, easily.
• 650 mAh battery that is rechargeable via its USB-C port.
• Adjustable airflow via a slider.
• nexCHIP in the device for protection.
• Having a 1.1 ohms nexMesh coil
• 8mL e-liquid volume and claims to have an up to 3500 puff-life.
• Water-resistant pod slot.
• 18 flavours available in varying nicotine strengths.

I have received the nexPod System for review as a set, which can be bought from Wotofo’s website as the nexPod all-inclusive box. Inside, there are 2 nexPod devices, 18 pods containing all the currently available flavours (1 flavour per pod), and 20 pieces of spare mouthpiece covers (each prefilled pod already has one on it).



As a set, it is quite impressive! Sure, it would make a great gift for the vaper in your life, and as a set, it works quite well with the possibility of having 2 sets going at the same time, and just basically switching out the pods to try different flavours. All the pods are tucked in neatly, in rows, and inside a foam tray. You can literally just pop the box open and choose your preferred flavour at a glance!

The nexPod device may look plain but it is finished smoothly and with class. Made from aluminium, its curved edges are quite ergonomic, and its weight is hardly noticeable. A Wotofo product will inevitably bear the trademark branding style of Wotofo. But I have to say that how they proceeded with this on the nexPod device was relatively subtle: just the product name and brand in white block letters, and a mesh pattern on one side, giving the device a bit of varied texture. I really like it!





The USB-C port and airflow control slider can be found at the base of the device. Working with the provided pods, the device can provide anything from a tight MTL to a loose MTL (almost a tight RDL). Personally, I found myself having just around a 1.5 mm hole exposed to achieve the exact draw I wanted.



The device works on auto-draw with no buttons for operation- simply pop the pod in (via magnets), inhale and exhale to take a puff! The auto-draw is sensitive and responsive with no discernible lag. An LED indicator light at the bottom lights up when the device is in operation and also when it is charging.

It really is as simple as it can get- vaping convenience at its finest!

Not only that, what impressed me the most about its performance is the power going into the coils. It is definitely not the same as in your typical disposable. The device kicks a generous amount of power to give a strong, punchy vape! And because of that too, it does chuck a decent amount of clouds for a (semi) disposable, with a 1.1 ohms mesh coil to boot!



Now, with this system using prefilled pods, I’m sure you’re curious to know about how each flavour tastes! So, let’s do a short run-down below.

Watermelon Lychee: fresh watermelon mostly with a hint of lychee.

Strawberry Lush: sweet strawberries with just a touch of watermelon.

Strawberry Mango: I love the Asian Mango Wotofo used here, and that’s the predominant flavour with a touch of strawberry.

Strawberry Cone: sweet strawberry ice cream with not a lot of cooling. Just the way I like my ice cream vapes! I also get the cone there on the exhale which is quite impressive, if I’m honest.

Grape Apple: green grapes with apples that’s combined well.

Mango Pear: that same delightful Asian Mango with pear on the exhale. Beautiful!

Sakura Milk: a nice surprise! It is delightfully creamy with some floral fruit notes. A really nice flavour, this one.

Forest Berries: raspberries and blueberries with cooling.

Mint: this tastes like chewing gum mint, very refreshing.

Caramel Tobacco: burnt caramel with definitely tobacco mixed in. I don’t usually like tobacco flavours but this one is stunningly good!

Purple Razz Ice: red grapes with raspberries. Another good one!

Strawberry Yogurt: it’s the kind of yoghurt with the strawberries chopped-up in it. Nice one!

Mango Yogurt Ice: creamy mango and definitely with ice.

Mango Gummy: sweet candied mango that’s also very nice to vape.

Monster Ice: surprisingly good, especially coming from me as I typically don’t like energy drinks! It tastes more of fruit, followed by a not-so-strong energy drink taste. Wildcard favourite!

Three Melons: definitely watermelon and cantaloupe, not quite sure what the third melon is but this flavour is another winner!

Tropical Ice: an awesome mix of tropical fruit with a cooling kick that’s not so strong.

Pina Colada: well-blended mix of pineapple and creamy coconut.

All flavours, bar the caramel tobacco, have varying degrees of cooling in them. But the cooling doesn’t overwhelm and really complements the flavour notes quite well. These are really good flavours that were a joy to vape!



As for puff life, I haven’t exhausted any of the pods during my testing, because I was so excited to be switching flavours out (LOL) on the fly. Given the e-liquid volume, coil resistance, and way I vape though, I think Wotofo’s 3500 puff claim should be quite close to actuals.

Overall, I honestly cannot find any real cons about it. It is simple, convenient, and really a product and system geared to help the vaper simplify, well, vaping! For someone new to vaping but doesn’t want the fuss of refilling pods/atomisers or changing coils, and demands great flavour and performance from their vaping kit, I wholeheartedly recommend the Wotofo nexPod!

The prefilled pods are spot-on with flavour, and the quick flavour change with pod swapping makes the vaping experience quite engaging. Also, as compared to traditional disposables, there is arguably less waste generated by this system as it is just the pod that needs recycling when all e-liquid is exhausted.

What would make this system even more interesting is if Wotofo will introduce a refillable pod, or even a pod with replaceable coils. It would be really cool to see that!

I'm a vape enthusiast & hobbyist.

I know it hasn’t been that long ago since I covered the Innobar C1 for Innokin but here I am again with what I think is a new and exciting kit from Innokin. This time I was sent not one but two Innokin Coolfire Z60 kits in order to provide you with a fair, honest, and hopefully informative review to help you decide if it’s something you would like to try. When I think of Innokin products, I think of quality and this is no different. The Coolfire Z60 mod has an internal 2500mah battery that provides 6-60 watts of output. It provides a crystal clear display for the user on the .96” OLED display and the body is made of zinc alloy for durability. It also incorporates some features that we’ve seen on other mods like the Z80 which are Coil+ and Refresh. The tank included in the kit is the new Zlide Top Tank. This tank/kit can provide the user with both MTL and RDL vaping experiences. It is a top airflow tank that has a liquid capacity of 3ml with the straight glass section that is pre-installed and will hold 4.5ml with the included spare bubble glass. Another exciting feature is that the new .6 ohm DuoPrime coil that I will attempt to go into more detail on later. Also included is a .3 ohm Z coil that I am very familiar with and have grown fond of using prior to receiving these kits for review. So, for now, let’s take a look at the contents and some promotional images and then I’ll attempt to cover the features as best I can.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

It’s good to see that Innokin has stayed with using recycleable materials for it’s packaging from the box that the kit comes in down to the small pouches that contain the extra coil and accessories. The front of the box of course has the Innokin name as well as the Coolfire Z60 name on it along with a nice color picture of the actual device contained inside. I think it’s nice that there are some features listed on the front also. The back side of the box has the Innokin name again along with a warning, authenticity code, and company information.

Just like previous review samples I’ve received from Innokin, there isn’t the usual outer sleeve that slides off to open the box. You just have to cut the blue label down the side and the box top flips open to expose the device inside.The tank is pre-installed with the .6 ohm DuoPrime coil. To the right side of the device is a bubble glass that lets you increase the liquid capacity of the Top Tank to 4.5ml. Underneath the device is where the spare .3 ohm coil, RDL drip tip, spare seals, owners manual, USB-C charging cable, and warning booklet are contained.

The Coolfire Z60 mod iteself has a two tone appearance due to the top silver cap and then the rest of the body is a different color depending on which you choose. I received the purple and red versions for this review. Innokin was nice enough to also include an extra box of the .6 ohm DuoPrime coils which I am very thankful for. It’s always nice to get extra coils in case of a failure or accidental burning of a coil.

There is the Coolfire Z60 name on the left side of the mod and nothing on the right. Very minimal branding which I appreciate. The silver top cap along with the bottom color give the mod a really nice aesthetic in my opinion.

The top of the mod has two torx head screws that secure the metal top cap to the base of the mod. The 510 connection plate contains the usual gold plated spring loaded center pin. There are grooves cut into the plate and the plate is raised slightly to keep a tank from leaving marks on top of the mod platform. It will hold up to a 25mm tank without having any overhang.

The bottom of the mod has an on/off switch that completely cuts the power off to the mod. It doesn’t protrude much so that the mod can sit upright without wobbling. I have mixed emotions on the switch. I do like that you can easily turn the mod on or off but once you turn it off then back on, the mod isn’t ready to fire. You still have to press the fire button three times to activate the mod for operation. I would rather that the mod was ready to fire once the switch is turned on. I was driving and turned the mod on using the switch and tried to take a puff then realized I still needed to press the fire button three times to actually make the mod ready to fire. It’s not a huge deal but is a little bit of an inconvenience.

The front of the mod may look familiar. At the top is a large round fire button that has a beauty ring around it. I like this. I think it gives a better appearance to the fire button. Below that is the .96” display followed by the + and – buttons and finally the USB-C charging port which is promised to allow a charging rate of 1.7A. The display shows the following information.

• Lock/unlock symbol
• Battery indicator(Changes color depending on batttery level.)
• Green = 60-100%/ Yellow = 20-60%/ Red = 20% or less
• Set wattage
• Mode of operation(Coil + Wattage, Coil + Voltage, Wattage.)
• Time of current puff and coil resistance
• Puff counter and output voltage while firing

The button/ menu operation is as follows.

• With the bottom switch on, Press the fire button 3 times to turn the mod on/off
• To adjust the wattage, press and hold either the + or – button for 2 seconds then release and adjust up or down
• Press the fire button and the – button to lock/unlock the device
• Press the fire button and the + button to view the battery voltage, coil resistance, and the puff counter. You can reset the puff counter here.
• Press the + and – buttons to enter the menu where you can choose between Coil+, Wattage, Refresh, Cut off, and Screen.

In case you’re new to the world of Innokin and their newer technology, here are brief descriptions of what Coil+ and Refresh features actually do.

COIL+

Coil+ mode is a feature where the mod automatically primes the coil at the end of each puff by drawing in more liquid and reducing carbon on the coil. It does this by running at 40% of your set wattage for .4 seconds at the end of each puff.

REFRESH

Refresh is similar to Coil+ but instead of being automatic, it is a manual operation where you select Refresh from the menu and it will pulse the coil with 40% of your set wattage to draw in more liquid. This feature really helps to extend coil life.

Now let’s take a look at the all new Top Tank that was included with the Z60 kit. The way the kit ships, it is equipped for both MTL with the new DuoPrime .6 ohm coil pre-installed and also good for RDL with the .3 ohm coil which is probably my favorite Z Coil for my style of vaping. The DuoPrime coils have an interesting design. There are actually two layers of mesh in each coil head. There is an outer and inner mesh separated by cotton.The outer layer of mesh is of higher resistance than the inner coil, which means it heats slowly. This design draws e-liquid into the wicking material and the inner coil rapidly. DuoPrime coils maintain full saturation between each vape which helps performance and longevity.

The first thing I always do with any new tank is break it down for cleaning. The Top Tank was no different and can be easily disassembled for cleaning. Also if you like you can take this opportunity to install the included bubble glass that will give you an extra 1.5ml of liquid capacity. The tank will actually break down a little farther than I did. You can remove the two screws on top of the sliding mechanism to remove it if you want to clean it or need to replace the top fill gasket.

As you can see in the picture below, the tank uses a 510 drip tip and there is an arrow on the top that shows you which direction to slide the top cap in order to refill it. Unlike previous versions of the Zlide, you don’t need to remove the tip to slide the top cap. I am thankful for that. I used to hate having to remove the tip every time I filled.

There are four basic pieces to the Top tank plus the coil of course. There is the top cap that I already mentioned, the main chamber that receives the push in coil, the glass section, and the bottom cap that threads onto the bottom of the chamber once the coil is installed. Like other Innokin tanks, there are two flat spots on the bottom of the chamber that you need to align the flats of the coil with or you will have a leaking mess on your hands. The threaded base that holds the coil in place has the words “ZLIDE TOP” stamped into it.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

The design and quality of the Z60 and Top Tank are very good as we would expect from Innokin. The internal 2500mah battery provides long life and the on/off power switch on the bottom is a nice feature as well as the Coil+ and Refresh modes that help you keep the coil clean and running for a long time. The Zlide Top tank is very well made and the option of a bubble glass to increase the liquid capacity is especially good for running the .3 ohm coil for RDL operation. The mod itself is very comfortable to hold and the large fire button is clicky and easily found without looking at the mod.

When it comes down to it, what really counts is the performance. I would first like to say that I normally don’t run any coils in the 9-13 watt range that the .6 DuoPrime coil is rated for. I initially primed the coil and filled it with an RY4 Cream mix that I use often for reviews. It’s normally a fairly strong flavor so thought it might shine in this new coil. Honestly, it really didn’t. I had another liquid that I knew was very strong flavored that is a version of a New York cheesecake so decided to try that one. It was pretty darn good with the .6 coil. I started lower and worked my way up to 13.5 watts with the airflow about ½ open since I like an airy MTL vape. It was pretty good but really felt like I wanted more watts. I would have liked to have been able to push this coil to about 16-18 watts but was afraid I would burn the coil. I think that if I was going to consistently use this coil then I would have to mix my liquids with a higher flavor concentration compared to my RDL and DTL setups that I normally use.

In the second kit I received, I decided to try a Mango Yogurt with the .3 ohm coil and the airflow wide open. The flavor was very good and the RDL vape was very smooth. The airflow on the Zlide Top Tank is smooth with no whistling or funny sounds that I noticed. The amount of flavor and vapor was very good in my opinion. I did also go ahead and install the RDL drip tip that was included on this one. The .3 coil is my favorite Z Coil so I knew what to expect and that it would not let me down.

So, here I am again at the end of another review. Would I recommend the Innokin Z60 kit with Zlide Top Tank for you? Absolutely yes! It does everything you would expect from a kit like this and a couple things you wouldn’t expect. To me the Refresh is a very valuable tool for coil longevity. I could do with or without the Coil+. Some people complain of a noise after they take a puff which is the coil firing at 40% but I honestly don’t notice the sound.
