Hi everyone : )

Buying separate parts for an RBA setup is a hassle too. You have to go through certain underground circles to get them “off the books”. More importantly, with e-liquid, it’s almost impossible to find any legal, compliant options — and I’m too clumsy to mix my own. I started vaping to quit smoking, but it just got more and more complicated. I... hate hassle.

Hi everyone : )

I’ve been using OXVA XLIM, 2022 or 2021 ? couldn’t get replacement pods ,the only e-cig available in China is RELX now, and I just can’t get into it at all. I mostly browse forums for reviews to satisfy my craving vicariously.:smokie:
A rebuildable would do you. They last a really long time. Get one and the only consumables you need are cotton and stainless steel wire (and juice of course)

This is a bit ironic because ecigs were invented in China and all the best ecig companies still in existence are Chinese.

Hello! Multi format collector here

Hey everyone. First post here but I’ve been reading through the forum for a few months now. Just wanted to introduce myself and say I hope to have some consistency in regards to my presence here.

I’m curious if there are many collectors similar to myself out and about, and if not then what kind of a collector are you (if you consider yourself one)? I consider myself a seeker of the many forms of extremes in many niches within this niche. Im familiar with boros (rev4B RPG, Cthulhu DNA80C, Hussar Lore, Penny Lil Thing), P/V tanks (Protocol KTP frosted PC, carbon Juma Voodooll m3gan), dot format mods (Mission XV Asteroid w/ anodized Ti button, G10 DotAIO v2, IOV Pocket), 510 SBS’s (Tek Division Horizon Evo, 415 Rikimaru), and 510 boxes (pico, Juma 415 pico, ultem 415 pico w/ timascus button set + cap, Artchanic Arti Thall, Vapemonster Arcsine, Steam Rebellion Zero Fighter, Limelight bf60 Wicket, Stickman Scud), tubes (Dicodes v3 Extreme 22mm, Ambition Mods Converter), and proprietary tank AIOs (I have to gatekeep this one for a bit but think small batch 18500 ergonomic convertible to box mod that takes many traditional boro RBAs). I am currently chasing the smallest high end mods I can learn about and I really like the usual exotic materials like moku, zirconium, timascus, as well as any well done or interesting aesthetic finish like Mission XVs Jupiter Ti or the variety of Sturdy finishes available on the One Titanium. I’ll be giving heat anodizing titanium a shot in the coming weeks with some various 415 stuff and I’m excited to see what comes of that.

Anyways, that’s the shortest version of the full rundown on what’s relevant to me. If you’re into the same stuff or if there’s anything you think is interesting that you’re comfortabke sharing then I’d love to hear about it. I’m confident most of yall have a specific thing within this niche that keeps you engaged and interested. I suspect there are at least a few genesis appreciators out and about around here for example, and I’m curious about what drives you to stick with that format and if you do so exclusively or not. I’m also curious about the VWM Nextiny and how that atomizer would fit my use of thin high pg juices and low ish wattage preference. If anyone can comment on that it would be greatly appreciated!
I’m not an intentional collector per se. I’ve been vaping since 2008 though and I tend to not throw stuff away.
I’ve got some weird old stuff that may interest you. I generally kept it because I like it though. Are you interested in firsts? Technological innovations? What.

Custom E-Pipe - Help - Need Advice

@retired1 makes a point. Such a thing would have to be custom hand built. So $300+ ( maybe way plus) even modding the pipe you have is going to suck. The best move for that is hide a cigalike inside it. You want an old style cigalike battery. You need to drill out the stem to take the battery, then run an old style carto to it which you hide in the bowl of the pipe. That will also need drilling. The thing probably isn’t big enough to hold a full old style cigalike. It may not even be big enough to hold the “ bent” one I am describing. Measurement will be key. If it IS big enough to hold the whole thing you could just drill it out and make it effectively a shell for a disposable. This may not produce enough “smoke” for you though, and you lack the other flexibility you get from one you control the juice of. You could get an old style pre disposable cigalike of the type I started on, and do it that way. If you can find one. You would be looking for a really original early system like a 510. 510 cigalike batteries are still made, (their connector became a standard) so you could get a battery that wasn’t dangerous ( the old ones will be by now). If you CAN fit a whole cigalike inside the pipe body you just fill it with pure vegetable glycerine (thicker smoke, no nicotine). I think it can be DIYed if the pipe is big enough. It would make the pipe a permanent prop. It would never smoke tobacco again. And it will be a moderately terrible device with a short life. You will need to put in a fresh battery frequently.

So Drilling, soldering of fine wire, possibly gluing (avoid this if possible, and if not use hot glue which can be peeled off and reapplied) and a couple or 6 hours.

The first step is measure the thing, find out what wood it is made of (pipes like to use weird and very hard woods which may require special treatment for drilling)

If you can arrange separate shots you could have that one as the “hero” pipe and another less nice on as a “stunt pipe” shot from farther away. If you can do that a “stunt pipe” becomes potentially much cheaper.

The Chinese like pipes with really small bowls that look like pot pipes. You may be able to get ahold of one of those and “build up” the outside and then paint it. The stem is actually easy. Such things are sold.

Random DIY mixing and More

Hope you have dinner by now.
Yes, it was just much later than usual. I skipped exercising tonight. This will be my day off this week. I’m definitely looking forward to the three day weekend. It’s nice having the extra vacation time now and not having to ration vacation days.

Do mods ever wear out?

they do wear out. you should see my graveyard of mods. the only mods i spend money on repair and parts is for my lostvape paranormal. (screen died, door worn and broke off). My other mods died due to various issues like fire button no longer working, dead or dying tft screens etc...

One of my mods, i had used kapton tape over the fire button and screws (near the 510 connection), this mod hasnt had issues for 6 years. I think that kapton tape over ports, buttons, and screws prevented juice, air, dirt from entering the mod.
