Good morning,
Hope y'all had a great holiday season and winter so far (as much as winter can be enjoyed). I've been staying busy. My truck remains in good running order. Bought a new car to replace the Jeep. The Jeep is running and looking great but it has 160,000 miles on it and I want a car that will last the rest of our lives (at least our driving lives). There are basically three carmakers that can do that. Honda, Toyota, and Mazda. So I bought a 2024 Mazda CX-5 with 30,000 miles on it. One previous owner (a lady). Women (and most men to be fair) don't drive like maniacs so I'm guessing those 30,000 feminine miles were very nice, soft miles.
Mazda was once a great car back in the 80s and 90s. Then they went to crap in the 2000s but have made a resurgence these past 7-10 years. Much of it because they have partnered with Toyota. They even share a plant in Alabama where they make Toyotas and Mazdas right next to each other. Mazda quality is right there with Honda and Toyota now but without the "Toyota Tax" (their upcharge for their high quality image). I'll post pictures soon.
Hope y'all are doing well.
