SX MINI SL CLASS V2 MOD REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

let me know what your findings are when you receive it.
i got the SL Class v2 & have been playing w/ it extensively, topped by a dual coil RDA w/ pre-made SS316 coils...

The firmware is difficult to navigate, imo. Like every other mod, the documentation is of little help. But i did get TC set up.

The curve is easy to customize. It only gives you 1 customizable curve in TC, as opposed to the several in VW. That's not a problem for me, personally, but it was surprising. i'd have expected it to have a few memory slots for different curves. Also surprising was that there's only a 316 preset for SS. i'd expect a mod w/ a rep for great TC to have other grades, too. You can set a TCR manually for any material; that can be tricky, though.

Far as i can figure out, that curve is the only way to tweak the TC. You can use any of several pre-sets (hot, warm, norm, cool, cold) & have a curve -- the curve seems to adjust the pre-heat wattage by % values. What you can't seem to do is adjust manually either the temp or the TC wattage limit. That's w/ auto-power either on or off. i still haven't quite dialed in my ideal vape on this RDA; good thing i enjoy fiddling around w/ that kind of thing because this is definitely a mod for tweakers.

As far as how effective the TC is, it does give low liquid warnings. Once, that came only after a nasty near-dry hit. That 1 might have been my fault, though, because i moved to a different room w/o re-adjusting anything. i didn't feel any difference in room temperature but maybe it was enough to throw off the mod. When i've stayed put, the low liquid warning has come before any nastiness.

i suppose i'd have to say that i'm pleased w/ the mod's aesthetics & it's apparent build-quality & w/ it's performance in wattage mode, which has been stellar using an RTA. i'll probably be happy w/ it's TC mode performance once i've found my ideal puff, since it does seem to be highly sensitive, which indicates high accuracy. On the other hand, i wish it had more, specifically those things i mentioned above. For the low price i paid, i'm happy. Had i bought it when it was at full price, i'd be mad at myself over it.

Bench Test Results: Vapcell F63 - 12.5A 6250mAh 21700

These tests below only note my personal opinion for the ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, EVE, Ampace, Sinowatt, Lishen, BAK, or Sanyo can change at any time! This can be one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. Never use them outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous discharge rating (CDR), never let it get colder than 0°C or hotter than 60°C to help lower the risks and extend cell life, and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition. Never use a battery that is physically damaged in any way.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.

Test Results
This is a good performing cell that runs cool for its reasonable 12.5A rating. This cell runs for a couple percent longer at 5A and 10A than the Vapcell F58 and F60.

Like all ultra-high capacity cells this is not a “power” cell! You won’t see any of its extra capacity if you run it at above a few amps. I recommend staying under 2A-3A if you want all the extra capacity.

Some notes…
  • Vapcell rates the F63 at 6050mAh minimum/6250mAh typical capacity.
  • The two cells I tested delivered 6164mAh and 6196mAh, which is not great consistency. I’ll be rating it 6150mAh.
  • At 5A the Samsung 55E and EVE 58E run for a few percent longer and that might be noticeable.
  • At 10A the Samsung 50S2/55E and EVE 58E run for a bit longer than this cell, probably not noticeable.
  • At 10A this cell runs for about the same time as Molicel P50B, BAK 45D, and Ampace JP40.
  • Vapcell’s standard charge current rating is 2A and the max is 3.5A . Stay at 1A or lower for longest life.
  • The F63’s DC IR measured 19.6mOhms and 20.2mOhms, okay consistency.

Made a rare visit to a brick & mortar vape shop this morning. It's the one where i got my 1st real device (if you consider a SMOK Nord a real device). New sign, new name, so i guessed new owner. i happened to be driving past it & was curious.

It was gratifying to see that they still had about 1/2 the store devoted to the kind of vaping we here do, w/ a wall full of nic e-liquids & coils + a long row of display cases w/ mods, tanks, & pod kits. Nothing for builders, mixers, & folks like many of us but, still, a selection of actual mods & other items for nic vapers.

Still cannabis-related products in the other roughly 1/2 the store but they hadn't taken over. It was nice to see. i got an overpriced pack of drop-in coils that i can use but don't need, just to support the place.

(Not exactly a shinyitis story but it was a positive purchasing experience i wanted to share.)
