I almost forgot that my wife wants me to go after work with her to her friends house that used to be our old neighbor. I have mentioned in the past how I don’t like the husband. I may have an out. My wife reminded me tonight and made the mistake of saying “ that is unless you’re too tired after work “. We shall see what happens.

Christmas at Grandpa’s left a few people under the weather. Me, being one of them. Thank goodness it’s just a nasty cold and not worse. The holiday went on as planned and was nice. I only had to work Friday and have been resting since. Off til next Friday. Had a major ice storm while at work. I couldn’t get in my car so I had to go through the passenger side. Took me 40 min to get home. Normally 12. But traffic was light and I could go at my own pace lol. Much rather drive in snow than ice. More ice today and under a high wind warning with snow on the way. My goodness it’s going to be a long winter.

Of course, I had picked out a little dainty ring, but it was a lab-made diamond, and he would have none of that. I don't really understand, but he ended up getting me a beautiful diamond with clusters all around it and down the band.

Here is a part that y'all probably will laugh at. Perry should have known me better. I told him I would go buy a bunch of purple (my birthstone) clothes, but I could not wear it with any other color. Another one of my little issues. And that is why I ended up with a diamond. It goes with everything.

Just sharing another crazy part of my life. It is hard to be ME!

My ten days off have ended and tomorrow it’s back to work. The weather was really nice all week and I got some yard work done and cleaned up some landscaping. We went from 63 yesterday to 20 now and not much better tomorrow.

My wife is having a really off day. She fell asleep in the living room which she almost never does. I’m not waking her either. I need to go downstairs and mix another bottle of my muller one shot. If she’s not up by five then I’ll go ahead and cook dinner. I’m catching up on laundry right now. It’s too nasty outside to make me even want to go anywhere. I hope the roads aren’t bad in the morning for work.
