There is stupid and there is really stupid ..

The elimination of pretty much all of the tax incentive regarding EV's and Hybrids, at least within the current bill making its way thru, is penciled in to now expire the end of this year .. the original $7500 credit was set to expire in 2032 ..

Now, the idea here, along with increased fuel efficiency for gas vehicles, was to spur on the EV industry and put a bit of a clamp on climate change .. giving consumers an incentive .. and, it was working ..

All the major auto makers have been and continue to be ramping up facilities, putting in more R&D, etc, based on the Governments own incentive ..

If and when that incentive gets removed, what does that do besides drive sales of EV's and hybrids down .. ?? Thus tossing to the wind much of what the auto makers have already invested in what they thought was the future ..

Many times, I think there is this deep seated wish for America to return to some sort of idealized past .. you can't turn back time, no matter how much you wish .. what you can do, though, is deny that climate change is real and thusly, punish a segment of the Manufacturing Community that counts on long range plans in order to er, plan for the future ..

Glad you and your neighbors are OK, we wuz worried!

So a clean miss at both your places, home and shop?

They've no doubt changed over the last 60 years, (and even more in the last week!!), but I used to go to Forest Park and the zoo when I was a kid visiting my Grandma. Dang, that's been a while! :)

Shop is well out of the range of these tornado hits

retreat I did, me and my dog and a couple neighbors that have no basement .. it was pretty scary .. Forest Park / Zoo / Worlds Fairgrounds took a big hit .

New here no newbie anywhere.

do you use temp or just watts?
I understand temp control is not particularly good on the m100, so I treat it as a watts only device. I learned that the “drop in quality” of geek vape is that their new models are actually not as good for temp as the original legend. They have the same milspec ratings, they just don't, or at one point didn’t, have the temp quality they used to. This is good enough for me, as I am interested merely in longevity.

It’s an odd thing to not fix, and it may already BE fixed, but I have no data. It shouldn’t be much trouble to get the temp control back to previous standards,

It isn’t particularly important to me as I keep my vape from running dry, so the liquid keeps the heat down through evaporation. I suspect temp control is only needed in niche situations. I view temp control as more of a safety feature, so the thing CAN’T fire if it is dry. I never let it GET dry, so it’s not a problem.

If the thing was a squonker it might be an issue, but it’s not. It’s perhaps not the best thing to use a dripper on, but I don’t.

I do use a capo squonker which also has no temp control. I know what a dry hit tastes like though. I don't think I'm in any real danger. It’s not like I'm going to suck on a dry mod all day. so I don’t worry about it. It comes down to what your standards are I think. With the m100 it’s not an issue though as it has an RTA on it which I leave there.

If you feel that the capo squonker is NOT good enough I am curious as to why. I may have bad data. The biggest issue with drying out is with extreme sub ohm vaping. At or near the 0.1 ohm limit of mod capacity and/or really high voltages. Well above the 4.0v (fresh. 3.7 nominal) of a single battery It is possible for those to draw liquid faster than the cotton can deliver it so they may ‘temporarily dry out’ with heavy vaping. I dont do numbers that low, so again, it’s not an issue.

Hey Willie, did the tornadoes miss you?

@Uncle Willie ? You there and ok?? No word since the St. Louis tornadoes...

Thanks for asking .. it's rare that I retreat to the basement during one of these events, but retreat I did, me and my dog and a couple neighbors that have no basement .. it was pretty scary .. Forest Park / Zoo / Worlds Fairgrounds took a big hit .. it's still rough out there, but coming along .. that's what you see on the map with the heavy concentration ..

Put that generator to use .. fairly minor this and that as far as property damage ..
