Sorry been more than a few days. Been going to gym almost every morning, my neighborhood pool 2-3 times a week. Plan to go to state park cabin at lake Murray in southern Oklahoma a few days before Ms PT gets back from Spain.

GP, another kindle reader over here. Thanks to TikTok currently into Dark Romance (not so much pitch black, more on the morally gray side) but I will read anything. Just finished the Kindle Unlimited trial and stayed with it. That is awesome that your son is doing well with the homeschooling. I have one and he will be a senior this fall. Not looking forward to an emptyish nest. lol

I thought I’d have a harder time adjusting to the kindle, I do love the feel of a real book in hand. The kindle is just so customizable and easy to carry, I’m hooked! The only thing that drives me nuts about it is they don’t seem to proofread the files before they become available; I’m not sure what company they have converting the text, but the amount of spelling and grammar errors is maddening lol. I’ve been with kindle unlimited for a couple years now, it’s a hell of a deal! I don’t do TikTok lol, but from what I hear in my book clubs I’m not missing much in the recommendations department lol. Everyone seems to be big on dark romance right now! I can’t do it, reading is an escape for me the last thing I want it to be is dark lol— no kink shaming here lol I’m just too sensitive to it. I can do grey area lol, depending on the content; I know I’ve read some morally grey stuff over the years lol. I just have to be mindful of my triggers.

Aww I get that, I still can’t believe my baby is a teenager now! I have mixed feelings about an empty nest lol, though with autism I don’t believe I will ever truly have one.

Almost over? HAH! We're in the oven until at least the end of September, and even then, it's not uncommon to see 90s going into October.

Kindle is an absolute godsend! After dragging boxes and boxes of books world wide while I was in the military, having the ability to have all those books and then some at my fingertips is nothing short of a miracle. People keep telling me I need to get AppleTV (fat chance!) to watch the Foundation series. Watch it? I've already read it! (And yes, Asimov's Foundation Series is an absolute must read!) I dread watching something that is supposedly based off of a book or series of books. Take Game of Thrones for example. First season was pretty danged good and followed the first book pretty well. Second season ticked me off to no end as they started jumping all over the place and not following what was in the books. Stopped watching it and refused to pick it back up. The books were much better anyway.

Initial training has ended at the school, and after a written test on Monday will be ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training) certified. It doesn't stop there and the next two weeks are designed to build on that foundation. To say it's intense is a bloody understatement! Gotta get in some more range time. My close up and personal aiming needs a bit of tweaking as we're expected to take the shot if at all possible. I'm good, but I need to get better. And the one thing that will ruin your day is missing the bad guy and shooting an innocent bystander. I now have two ranges I can go to which is nice. My usual range I already have a membership, but there's a second range that all I have to do is show my school ID and I'm allowed free range time. I intend on taking advantage of it on a regular basis.

I think they are all pretty good. They just have different liquid capacities and the tops open different.

Got around to building the HB solo; easy build and wick, so far so good. Went with a ss tricore 2.5mm 6 wrap .25r af about 2/3 open 27.3 watts. Really liking it, will probably try 4.5mm legs next build. Had help...
