Welcome to my site, today I am back with my last review of the year – on this festive occasion I am happy to introduce you the much awaited Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 vape kit.

I was looking forward to this nice little Christmas present! Thank you Sourcemore for sending me this device for the purpose of this review.

The XROS Pro 2 is the upgraded premium member of the celebrated XROS line. The most attractive improvements to its predecessor are the prestigious 2000 mAh built in battery, the enlarged 3 ml capacity COREX 3.0 pods and the unique Aerospace-grade magnesium alloy chassis, that just weights 65 grams. These enhancements glorify the XROS Pro 2 as worlds lightest 2000 mAh pod-system. This ultra-light and elegant device will fascinate you with a 0.96-inch TFT display, max power of 30W, that is finely adjustable in 0.5W increments and boasts dual activation; the device has next to the ultra-responsive auto draw function a lovely fire button, which is always a pro to me. The XROS Pro 2 is an iconic MTL device everyone will fall in love with from the first moment of use!



Design and functionality:

I received the XROS Pro 2 in Gem Green and there are 6 distinguished colors available to choose from (Glittering Black, Glittering Gold, Glittering Silver, Dawn Purple, Moonlit Pink, Gem Green and Storm Blue). Mine has an admirable sapphire emerald varnish with just a small golden Vaporesso branding at the front and their iconic logo at the back, which is not to be mistaken upside-down with the Avangers logo. The fire/menu button is surrounded by a shiny golden ring and the 0.96-inch screen is hidden under the semi-transparent metallic front panel, which is phenomenal – it looks like the display would be projected onto the front from behind. The overall design is classical yet sophisticated and professional. The stepless airflow adjustment is located at the back of the device, leaving the side surfaces plain for soft, gentle touches.



The device promotes simplistic functionality:

• one click activates the screen and acts as fire button (when enabled)
• two clicks allow you to choose from 6 different themes and eco mode
• three clicks take you to wattage adjustment
• four clicks bring you to settings
• five clicks turn on/off the device

Since there is only one button, navigating within the menus is straightforward and just takes some practicing. With each press the next menu option will be highlighted that you can select by long pressing the function button.

Within settings you can activate/deactivate the screen lock, activate/deactivate the fire button, clear puff counter, access the puff statistics (daily, weekly and monthly) and activate/deactivate the animation (planet, light and flower themes have animation).

By selecting Eco mode, the screen goes blank and only the small led is activated when a puff is taken – ideal for stealth vaping.



Battery performance:

The XROS Pro 2 has an ample 2000 mAh built-in high-density battery and supports 2A fast-charging; it charges in about 30 mins and gives me nearly 2 days of heavy use with the 0.4Ω pod.

The USB-C charging port is found at the bottom of the device and while charging an animation is displayed along with the current battery percentage and remaining charging time. The device allows pass-through, so you can vape on it while charging, which is always welcome.



Size and weight:

125.7*25.9*18.4 mm, 65 grams. Made of aerospace grade magnesium alloy.

The XROS Pro 2 blends comfortably into your palm and is ultra lightweight. For comparison I made a photo with the Uwell Caliburn G4 Classic, since they are the newest generation MTL pod systems of the two most celebrated brands and both are made of aerospace materials. To be frank, both devices are close to my heart and I do recommend them equally for their reliability, pod longevity, flavor and vapor qualities. The selection will fall on you this time; whether you prefer to enforce the XROS or the Caliburn club, or both.



Pod/Cartridge:

The XROS Pro 2 is compatible with the whole palette of XROS pods and comes with two 0.4Ω COREX 3.0 disposable pods that feature advanced Hive Mesh structure and aerospace-grade materials. I am delighted that the device comes with two 0.4Ω pods since I do prefer those in any of my pod systems. Vaporesso’s XROS line is a guarantee for richer aroma, delicate flavor, and an ultra-smooth vaping experience. The cartridge is top cap-filling and can easily be refilled without detaching it from the base. Thanks to the transparent reservoir the e-liquid is completely visible. While the XROS Pro 2 is cross-compatible with all previous generations of XROS pods, the wattage adjustment is only accessible with the COREX 3.0 series, the previous versions will offer ECO/Normal/Power modes instead. Eco saves battery, Normal provides balance with Super Pulse for consistent output, and Power/Boost offers maximum clouds and flavor.

I tested the XROS Pro 2 for two weeks with Halo’s Freedom Juice, 10 mg traditional e-liquid at 25W. The XROS Pro 2 is a genuine MTL vape that you can finely adjust from a very tight cigarette like pull to an airier semi-restricted warmer throat hit, that you would get from a cigar. The 3 ml capacity was just sufficient to cover a working day at the office, however I had to top it up on some more stressful days. I will keep using tobacco e-liquids with this device as it provides such a rich flavor profile that you only get with sub-ohm mods.

The pod connects with two strong magnets to the base and holds tight without any wiggles. You can lift the device by just holding the pod, it won’t disconnect.



Final verdict:

Vaporesso has delighted us with the XROS series already for 5 years and these devices are beloved by so many people for a good reason, we can state for certain that Vaporesso knows the secret how to develop the perfect MTL pod system and I do appreciate that their devices remain solid and classical over all these years. I do highly recommend the XROS Pro 2 for any seasoned vaper and newcomer alike who want to start their journey with a stylish and reliable high-end product.
