Coil Size?

It depends on the style of vaping you prefer, the mods you use, the power you use, the juice flavors you use, even your choice of wire material/cotton plays a role. This question is too open-ended to give any kind of real answer. So in general IMHO a basic coil of round wire is what I consider a baseline. Its fine in a pinch, works great for testing a juice you aren't sure of, but it will never be the "most flavorful".

Coil Size?

'flavor' ??

IMHO: coil 'size' is fairly dependent on the atomizer used and where/how incoming air is directed towards it.

There is a school of thought that the less 'open space' in a chamber the better the flavor and another where smaller chambers are more flavorful then larger ones.

The 'exotic coil' folks might argue that the 'burst' of juice vaporized off their coils (wicked into the multitude of surfaces & crevesses on them) provide much of their flavor.

The Temperature Regulated vapers might argue that depending on the juice flavor might need/require a different temperature for the best vaping experience.

In all, it comes down to coil surface area and temperature for volume of vapor produced.

YMMV.

I had no idea

Alas, what you may or not have available in your local vaping store today might likely be vastly different (AND at different price points!) then what was available a decade ago.

While my 1st 'ecig' was a 'Blue' picked up at a local Costco, due to impeding doom I stocked up on most supplies years ago.

Some 1/2 way decent stuff is still available locally however with large taxes and no longer is it legal to purchase online anymore.

Frankly IDK if vaping with todays gear is any less expensive than using analogs however it still has to be healthier.

I understand those who want it simple, and are either beginners or have gone from advanced to easier vape.

I myself have vaping as a hobby as much as I need to vape.
And I have always had a bit of a collecting craze. It wasn't so bad when I only used Kayfun's, there is a limit to how much you can experiment with them, it took off when I found other brands that were as good or better than Kayfun.
I have a list of mtl atty's that I have, but I try to never look at the list so that I make it a little easier for myself to expand the craze…
