I'm over on Vancouver Island and I'm seeing a whole bunch of news coverage about marches and riots in Seattle today. It appears on the surface to be about treating immigrants as equal persons - a good thing in my mind. Is there more to the story? Are you and your family OK?

hey, thanks for your post Alison. I'm still not used to this new forum setup, so I missed it. Those May-day "riots" were actually a couple hundred wannabe hippies protesting peacefully until the police bullied them. No major damage was done.
