VANDY VAPE KYLIN 3 RTA REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Once again I say welcome back for today's review of the latest version as of this date of the KYLIN family of RTA's called the KYLIN 3. This is a dual coil 25mm RTA that can also be used as a single coil with a big enough coil it's very easy to build on being that it uses a postless deck and supplies you with a coil jig with correct marking showing the user where to place the coil for cutting. You get everything needed to build on the deck including 2 coils, grub screw driver, extra grub screws, 510 drip tip adapter, user manual with instructions and a spare straight glass tube that I have no idea what the capacity is because it's not available but I think it's 4ml. Preinstalled on the RTA is a 6ml glass tube that's more suited for this RTA. I said you get everything needed and you do except for cotton, that you have to supply yourself as none is included.

VANDY VAPE KYLIN M TANK review by hittman

Hello and welcome back for another review. This time I’ll be taking a look at the Vandy Vape Kylin M Tank that was sent to me by Sourcemore in order to provide a fair and honest review. I own a few different AIO or boro style mods so thought it might be fun to try out the Kylin M Tank in one of them. The Kylin M tank has a liquid capacity of 3ml and is compatible with BB style systems as well as the Pulse AIO mods. It makes use of honeycomb style airflow located on each side of the tank. The build deck is designed to be used with mesh strip coils but you might be able to insert a standard coil. There is a ceramic spring loaded center to hold the cotton tightly against the coil to prevent burning. To me this one is designed mostly for RDL or DL vaping and offers big airflow. There are two airflow reducers that can be used with the tank to tighten up the draw some.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The Kylin M Tank comes in a familiar box since I’ve reviewed a few different Vandy Vape tanks before. It comes in a black box with a clear viewing window where you can see the contents of the kit. As you can see in the picture below, I received the SS version for my review. Besides the Kylin M Tank, you can see that it comes with a spare tank section that in this case is a red color as well as two airflow restrictors, a spare drip tip, and a 510 adapter that connects to the tank in order to burn in coils. What you can’t see is that there are two plastic holders in that foam insert that each have two mesh strip coils. Underneath the foam insert is where you’ll find the user manual, two cotton threads, and an accessory bag that includes spare seals, a screwdriver, and a rod for shaping the mesh coils. The mesh coils that are included are .15 and .2 ohm A1 mesh strips.

1685290931001.png

The Kylin M name is printed on the front of the tank. I found it interesting that the rubber fill plug is actually attached on the side with the plug wrapping around the front to cover the fill port. It has only happened to me once or twice but I have pulled the plug from the wrong end and either pulled it completely out of a tank or pod or broken the tab off in the tank or pod. With this one there is no mistake where to lift from when filling the tank.

In the third picture below you can see that there are seven honeycomb holes located on each side of the tank for a total of 14 honeycomb airflow holes to provide excellent and smooth airflow for this tank. I was honestly surprised how smooth the airflow is on this one and get no noise from it even when using either airflow restrictor or none at all.

1685291040383.png

The build deck for the Kylin M has a spring loaded ceramic center piece like some other mesh tanks that I have tried before. It holds the cotton against the coil to prevent burning of the cotton which can happen if the cotton is too loose and gives a horrible taste. The center ceramic is held in place by a slotted head screw with spring underneath that holds tension upwards on the ceramic. If you can, it helps to push down while sliding the cotton into place when wicking. The clamps on each side are also spring loaded which makes it much easier to install the mesh coil. I’ve tested tanks before where those were not spring loaded and it can make it quite the PITA when trying to insert your mesh coil without bending it out of shape. The side clamps are held in place with phillips head screws and there is a small screwdriver included with the tank in case you don’t have the correct size to use. The build deck is held in place by the black rectangular seal on the base of the deck. It does a nice job of holding it in place securely.

1685291088864.png

1685291122589.png

The first thing to do is to prepare your mesh coil. I picked the .2 ohm mesh to start with since the rated wattage is what I am more comfortable with. I used the included rod and shaped the coil around it so I could then loosen the clamp screws to insert the coil.
1685291187323.png

Once the coil is inserted and tightened in place then you can attach the included 510 adapter to burn in the coil. You want to do this at very low wattage. I had my mod set at 13 watts and only did quick pulses to clean off any residue that might have been on the mesh from my hands. You don’t want to go very high for the dry burn and don’t want to fire for very long. I speak from experience as I have melted a mesh coil before by improperly dry burning. After the dry burn is done then the cotton can be inserted. There are two large cotton threads included with the tank and it helps if you can push down while threading the cotton to make it go in easier. I cut the cotton first at an angle up towards the coil like I have done with other mesh tanks. Then I thinned the tails and trimmed them for length. You want the tails to just sit on the top of the base and not get stuck in the space between the base and upper tank portion. It took quite a bit of trimming to get it right and even trimmed a little more after soaking the cotton with liquid. If you see any cotton sticking out the sides after the base is inserted then take it back apart and trim more or you will have leaking. I know the picture isn’t the best but you want the cotton to land on that ledge above where the black seal is. The liquid on this one feeds from the top of the tank down to the tops of the wick. It’s a gravity feed system.

From there you can fill the tank, remove the adapter if you haven’t already, and install it in your favorite boro device. The promotional material shows it installed in a Pulse AIO but I opted for using it in one of my Meson AIO mods. I quickly discovered that I shouldn’t use the front cover with the airflow control built into it on the mod since it drew large amounts of condensation and I believe was the cause of some leaking. After removing the front cover I had no further issues. After removing the front cover, I decided to try each of the two airflow reducers included with the tank since it was just too much airflow for my tastes. The larger reducer was not a lot different from running without. It was still a very airy DL vape. I swapped it out for the smaller reducer and that allowed a little more restriction for a slightly restricted DL vape. That was closer to what I was looking for. I actually liked it better with no reducer and using the front airflow control cover of the Meson but quickly got tired of cleaning the inside of the cover and the edges around the bottom where the cover meets the mod. The airflow reducers simply slide onto the bottom of the tank and there is a groove in the bottom of the tank for them to fit into so as not to get in the way of making connection with the electrical contact pin in the mod.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I already mentioned testing the .2 ohm mesh coil but since this is a review I went ahead and tried one of the .15 ohm coils even though the suggested operating range is a bit higher than I usually like to use. I followed the same steps building the deck and trimming the cotton. Vandy Vape was nice enough to include the following instructions which can be helpful if you’ve never built a mesh deck before. What it doesn’t show is how to trim the cotton. I would recommend watching an instructional video on YouTube if you want a better idea how to do the wicking.
1aDE0Ei.jpg

My initial attempt at wicking the Kylin M deck with the .15 ohm mesh coil was an utter failure. I thought I did a good job and filled the tank and inserted it in the Meson AIO. After a few puffs I had liquid running down my hand and on to my shirt. I took the deck back off and pulled the wick so I could make another attempt at wicking. I had already used both of the included cotton threads but do have some other mesh cotton threads that I had from a different tank that I liked so used one of them. I think my initial failure was that I left too much cotton on the sides sticking out from the coil and this was touching the inside of the honeycomb airflow holes allowing the liquid to leak out the sides. Since the airflow holes are on the sides, you can’t see them once the tank is in the mod so I am just guessing but am thinking I am correct. I wiped the tank and inside of the Meson as well as I could and tried again. I think there was still some residual because I thought it was leaking again. I pulled the tank out again and decided to try it in the Pulse AIO.5 that I previously reviewed. I figured out pretty quickly that with the side panel on the Pulse that it greatly restricted the airflow on the tank so I removed the airflow restrictor and it was better. I ran the coil up to about 55 watts but really didn’t care for it as much as the .2 coil.

The airflow and draw are very smooth on the Kylin M tank and felt like I was getting very good flavor with the .2 ohm coil. I am not a consistent mesh tank user so may have struggled more than someone who uses them all the time but for my tastes I felt like I had to spend way too much time on fiddling with trying to get the wick trimmed properly to fit in the tank without sticking out the sides or pressing against the airflow holes. For me personally, this one is a no go and will not find a spot in my regular rotation. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone at Vandy Vape had their ears ringing when I was trying to get the .2 ohm coil wicked correctly.

I would like to thank Sourcemore and Kavis for sending the Kylin M Tank for this review. It was definitely an adventure. Thanks as always to the readers. Below is a link to the website if you would like to try one for yourself.

Has anybody purchased any D# products from CannaClear? If so, have you had recent checkout problems? This is not an 'order placed and money taken but no deliverance' issue, I can access the site itself just fine and browse thru the 'catalog' and place whatever in my buggy, but I cannot submit my order. Vaporesso XROS 3 Nano Review

View attachment IMG_20230527_134455.jpg

Thanks to sourcemore.com for sending me this device to review: Vaporesso Xros 3 Nano Pod Kit 1000mAh

The Vaporesso Xros 3 Nano is a small square shaped device with a fine unboxing experience. When unboxing the device, the feeling is comparable to unboxing your new high end smartphone.

Specs:
  • 1000mAh battery
  • Adjustable airflow
  • Size: 69.9mm x 14mm x 51.2mm
  • Type-C 1A charging
  • 0.6-1.2ohm pod resistance
  • 2ml pod capacity
  • Price: $36.90 USD ($25.99 USD at sourcemore)

cd1zbiew8f2b1.jpg

The box includes:
  • 1 XROS 3 Nano Battery
  • 1 XROS series 0.6ohm mesh pod (pre-installed)
  • 1 XROS series 0.8ohm mesh pod (in box)
  • 1 XROS Type-C USB-cable
  • 1 Lanyard
  • 1 User manual & warranty card

Features
The XROS 3 Nano is a pod vape with pulse mode. This should make sure the device delivers an outstanding flavor performance until the last draw. In my personal opinion, pulse mode isn’t noticeable, though I’m not quite sure if that's a bad or a good thing. Flavor does seem to be good when compared to other pod devices, so that might be the pulse mode doing its job.

The XROS 3 Nano is draw activated, that part is a huge pro to me personally. It features a square design, which feels very nice in hand. The device has adjustable airflow and a wide range of different pods to choose from.

1685214586019.png

Design
The design of the device is refreshing, going for a stylish and bold design. The device is available in 10 different colors. From lemon yellow, to rose pink to bondi blue. I think having these options is great. You can get a more concealed lowkey color, or get a very bright one, flaunting your vape.

It’s a small, portable device, easy to just slide into your pocket for on the go. The square shape makes it comfortable to hold while hitting your vape. There is no fire button, the device is autodraw only, which to me, is a huge plus, but it’s something to keep in mind if you do prefer the button. I also like the new dot at the top of the device. It gives the device an old school iPod look.

Pods
Since this year, vaporesso has widened its variety in pods for the XROS series. At this point in time there are 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2ohm pods. All but the 0.7ohm pod have a capacity of 2ml. The 0.7ohm pod has a capacity of 3ml. All but 0.7ohm pods also have top fill. You just snap off the top part and fill the pods in the red rubber hole. The 0.7ohm pod has side fill.

The pods are small and convenient, which makes it easy to take multiple out and about and switch pods with different flavors throughout the day. They barely ever have leaks, which is the main reason why I personally love this pod device.

The new pods have an even better life span than the old ones. With the old pods I would get two weeks max out of the sweeter flavors, but I’ve been going over a week on a new pod and there isn’t flavor loss yet whatsoever.

k3mffoiz8f2b1.jpg

Performance (battery, flavor, etc)
Performance of the device is honestly outstanding, especially seen its size and how easy it is to use. To me, it functions especially well as a MTL device, but with the airflow wide open and a 0.7 or 0.6ohm pod, this could easily be used for DTL hits as well.

The 1000mAh battery is something worth mentioning as well. It gets me through most days easily. Even when I forget to charge it at the end of the day, a quick 15 minute morning charge will get me through most of the day.

Flavor of this device is outstanding, one of the best I’ve had in pods for a long time. With that you also get a leakfree experience, which isn’t something that can be said for all pod devices.

Hitting the device feels like it's fully charged, until it’s dead, so keep an eye on battery light on the front of the device.

8gyju2t09f2b1.jpg

Comparing to the original XROS Nano
The original XROS Nano has always been one of the best (if not the best) pod devices out there. There are some differences between the original one and the 3, though. The original one is a tiny bit smaller in dimensions. The pod also sits deeper into the device. In my opinion that’s more aesthetically pleasing, but less convenient. The new way makes it easier to see if you’re getting low on juice and it sits in the device just as firmly. I do prefer the old view off the battery level with the four dots. Now it’s a bar that lights up either green (100-70%), blue (70-30%) or red (30-0%). On the old device, I did notice that with the airflow all the way open, the device would make a whistling sound. Vaporesso seems to have fixed this on the new one. Airflow overall feels a little tighter and the control button for this looks better.

Pros
  • Light weight and pocket friendly
  • Easy to use top fill system
  • Leak free pods
  • Up to 5 pod options
  • Good pod life
  • Strong securing magnets
  • 1000mAh battery

Cons
  • New way to show battery percentage
  • Pulse mode doesn’t seem to do anything

Verdict
Personally, my favorite pod device the past year has been the original XROS Nano, and this new version of the device just knocks it from first place. I still take both when out and about, but I notice I’d rather take the XROS 3 Nano out of my pocket than the original one. The original one is only there for when the battery of the XROS 3 Nano dies and this only happens if I forget to charge it the night before, cause this device gets me through a day and a half easily on a full charge.

In this day and age I’d recommend this device to any who wants to quit smoking or using disposable devices mess- and hasslefree. The good things about this device outweigh the bad by a long shot. There isn’t much bad to say about this device, especially with the new pods.

A big thanks to everyone who made it to the end of this review. Another thanks to sourcemore for giving me the chance to write this and for everyone who is interested in this beast of a pod device, sourcemore also sent me a discount code for you all to enjoy:

Hello everyone

Hello everyone,

I'm new here and thought I'd introduce myself a little bit.
My name is Naomi and I am from the Netherlands. I started vaping a little less than a year ago, after having vaped since before my 18th birthday. I am 24 now.

I basically only vape pods now, MTL. Mostly vape menthol flavors, but like the occasional sweet fruity flavor every now and then.

Need A New Rig

Hello all. I came here, because I'm having the exact same issue someone else had with their Voopoo DRAG Pro auto-firing (seeming mind-of-its-own). Unfortunately, the thread doesn't allow any more replies, but this person's problem was word-for-word what I have been dealing with, and I wish I could reply.

Either way, I got this model, because it was supposed to be safer, but it isn't at all! It's autofiring so badly that it is unusable now and incredibly dangerous. It gets the liquid incredibly hot to where it burns my fingers. It fires all day. I can stop it with 3 clicks (which no longer changes the wattage, weirdly). But then it just starts autofiring again. It's bad. Something is very wrong with it and getting worse.

I read that they keep getting worse, as far as quality is concerned, and so I'm considering something new. I've been using the drags forever now. The reason being that the casing is sturdy as hell, and I drop my vapes a LOT. Some vapes break on the first drop. I drop mine at least 3 times a week. Concrete included. They usually survive for months and months.

All that said, what are some sturdy products that can take a fall (many falls)? No glass tanks...those always break so fast!

I need something sturdy, affordable, and preferably something that uses the same 18650 batteries (removeable), as I have a collection of those. I will get another Drag if I have to, but I'm kind of ready for something different. Maybe something not as large either. Definitely something that DOESN'T LEAK EVERYWHERE!

Suggestions? Thanks!

Need Help!

For 14 years, I've been vaping Freedom Smoke USA Ultra Menthol PG/VG 50/50 extra flavoring 16 mg nic, and that only. They currently aren't doing any online orders because they are relocating their main store. But they have no idea for how long that will be.

So what are my options here? Does any other company make and ship juices that are just like Freedom Smoke? Would it be possible to make my own and make it taste the same? How hard would that be?

Thanks in advance!!!

Vaporesso GEN 200 Kit with iTank 2 Edition - review by Javichu

Greetings from semi sunny Spain fellow vaperinos.

Time for another review, this time its a product from Vaporesso, the GEN 200 Kit with iTank 2 Edition that sent to me by my friends over at Sourcemore for the purposes of this review.

Ok let's get the party started, for those that want a quick look about what this kit is all about i will start us off with some pics which will give you a general idea of the product i am reviewing today.

Unboxing and first impressions:

Remove the plastic wrap, slide out the sleeve and voila, right on top you have your instruction manual and warranty neatly tucked into a tiny thin box.
Remove that and right there is everything neatly put in their place, packaging is properly done just like Vaporesso always does.

Curious about the ''lighter'' mod i pick it up and dang!! this thing is light (only 76g),for a dual battery that is pretty cool.
Holding it feels comfortable, one would think that those tiny dots in the mod would make it feel weird and lumpy but it actually feels smooth.

The tank itself sure is heavy, actually heavier than the mod itself (without batteries) tried looking for the actual weight of the iTank 2 but didn't find it anywhere.
Along with the mod and the tank you get a replacement glass, baggie with o-rings with a replacement for the gasket where the fill port is and 2 coils.

Vaping time:

Time to feed the beast, open it up and pop in the batteries.
Oh and by the way there isn't a ribbon in the battery compartment so you can remove the batteries with more ease, not a deal breaker but it would have been nice.

Batteries in,coil primed and inside the tank soaking the sweet nectar of the god so while i wait for the coil to be ready let us go thru the operation of the menu for the Gen 200:

Screen navigation:
-Power on and off just 5 clicks of the fire button
-You can also lock the screen by pressing the fire button 3 times
-Main menu is accessed by just pressing the middle button 3 times
-In the menu just use + and - to go thru the options and then fire button to confirm your choice

Color screen will vary depending on what mode you're in.

F(t) mode: yellow
Pulse mode: red
Wattage mode: blue

F(t) MODE is by adjusting temperature, heating speed and time, F(t) mode releases the flavors of e-liquid adequately, delivering the perfect balanced tasting experience consistently from the first puff throughout.

PUL: PULSE MODE:
PULSE MODE is a mode to improve vaping experience through constant voltage output, delivering optimal flavour production, throat hit, nicotine satisfaction, and perfect temperature cloud continuously.

VWN: VARIABLE WATTAGE MODE/ SIMPLE MODE
VWN MODE is a normal mode of output wattage, you can according to the coil resistance to adjust the best wattage for your needs. The user interface shows wattage, resistance and puff counter for your immersive vaping experience.

DIY: DIY MODE
You can choose traditional VW (H, N, S), VV, BP (Bypass) modes in this section.

SMART VW
When this function is turned on and a TANK is installed, the system will recommend the best power.

That about sums it up,me personally i just left it in VWN and got ready to vape.

-0.2Ω GTi Mesh Coil (60-75W)
-0.4Ω GTi Mesh Coil (50-60W)

The 0.4 is pre installed so yeah why not,it has higher wattage recommendation than i am use to but i feel dangerous today
Also i have used the 0.4 coil as my main for many many months so i know what to expect.

Dang,this thing delivers.
As usual i started at low wattage and worked myself up,think max i got was 65 watts and wow yeah that was a bit much but it was a real flavorful and mouth watering vaping experience.

The mod itself worked admirably and the performance of the coil was top notch even after several times that i chain vaped, kept on delivering the same flavor and cloud production.

Pros:

-Lightweight mod
-Durable well made tank
-8ml capacity using the bubble glass
-Easy menu to navigate
-GTi coils? sooo good.
-Big ol' colorful screen

Cons:

-Would have liked a ribbon in the battery compartment to remove the batteries with more ease
-Not fully convinced with the system to open the top cap, while reaching for the mod that was in my man bag i did open up the top cap by accident a couple of times.
Maybe a con for me but not sure about that ''button'' system for the tank

Would i recommend this kit:

All around a good kit, good quality mod and good quality tank.
Performance wise i cannot fault the Gen 200/iTank 2 in anyway so if you decide to get this kit you will have all your vaping needs well met.

Aesthetic wise and this is just a personal opinion i gotta be honest, mod just doesn't sit right with me.
Could be the shape, the materials or maybe just the impression i get that it looks a tad old, like old school and to boxy.
This is not really a con, more like my personal opinion purely based on aesthetics and has nothing to do with the superb performance i got from both the mod and the tank.

Well that is it for today folks.

CALIBURN GK2 & GK2 VISION POD SYSTEMS REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Once again I say hello and welcome back for today's review of 2 Pod devices from UWELL called the GK2 and GK2 Vision. They are basically the same device but one has a semi transparent body with raised lettering while the other is smooth to the touch with no ability to see inside the device. Both of these are in the KOKO lineup and each house a internal 690mAh battery that charges quickly using 2A charging. If your not a fan of bright LED lights I'm sorry to tell you both have these as well with no ability to turn them off, they do serve a function though by using them as a battery strength meter and letting you know the pod is securely attached to the device. lets get started.

KTS Line – Yellow

KTS Line - Yellow

Packaging: 30ml aroma concentrate in a 120ml PE bottle.
Once again from the Kts Line range of liqudhall, I have brought you a special flavour that I would recommend to those with a sweet tooth, as it is a pomegranate, apple, pistachio and vanilla cupcake flavour - in a very sweet form. It has a nice muffin aroma with a hint of apple. The flavour is quite intense, with continuous steaming, I would predict half a day max, then change. It starts with a sweet muffin, then the apple steps in, and the vanilla and a hint of pistachio at the end. The vanilla and pistachio are just barely there and not always, sometimes they come out more, sometimes you can't even notice them. For me, the pomegranate blends with the apple, you can't really tell the two fruits apart. Coming back to the muffin, it has a little chocolatey kick to it, which you can smell later on. Sweetness factor: 8/10 in my opinion, almost borderline. It's not overly sweet, but it's almost there :). That said, a really interesting flavour, although the sweetness is borderline for my taste. The apple and muffin part is quite authentic, the chocolate, vanilla and pistachios throw a plus to the flavour. However, if the sugary glass hadn't tipped over into the cake batter I'd be happier, but as this is a subjective part of testing I'm sure there will be users who will swear by the yellow wonder.
