LOST VAPE CENTAURUS Q80 KIT BEVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Hello and welcome to today's review of the Centaurus Q80 Pod Mod from Lost Vape that was sent to me from Healthcabin. This device uses the UB Ultra Pod with the UB coils with a replaceable single 18650 battery and has a maximum wattage power output of 80 watts with wattage being the only power mode. Even though there is only 1 power mode it uses the Quest 2.0 chipset that I think is the best on the market as of this date other than a DNA. Lets check out some info on the Centaurus Q80 prior to my review.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Packaging for the kit is pretty standard with a inner box that slides out of a outer sleeve, inside everything rest in it's own spot on a plastic tray with the charge cord and spare O-rings inside a rectangular box with the paper items of your user manual and warranty card on top. For a extra touch of protection Lost Vape put the Centaurus Q80 in a small bag to protect it during shipping. At first glance the deep blue color almost looked black but in the light the color pops, I really like the overall design of the mod along with the UB Pod that is on the short side, being short improves the total appearance of this Pod Mod, there's even a very thin band of silver at the top portion.

► Vapefly Lindwurm RTA; Packaging:
Vapefly continues to produce very beautiful packaging boxes inherent in the legendary Germanic culture. The outer sleeve shows the colors of an ancient parchment. The name "Lindwurm RTA" appears in Gothic style characters, they are also present; the wording "Untamed Dragon" logo and name of the Brand (Vapefly) and a sticker showing the color of this sample (Silver).

On the back side of the sleeve you can read that this Tank was developed in collaboration with German 103! Under the heading "Lindwurm RTA" the features appear as follows; various social icons, brand addresses and contacts, warnings, scratc & check, barcode, logos / brands.

"Lindwurm RTA" is also featured on one side of the box with a mix of Gothic and conventional writing.

► Vapefly Lindwurm RTA; First Impressions:
Lindwurm in the ancient superstition of Germany, would be a tremendous beast similar to a serpent-like dragon with legs but without wings. The Lindwurm was believed to symbolize war, plague and other calamities. With these beautiful premises, Vapefly with the collaboration of the German 103 team has produced another product that is really not bad in some respects.

I haven't had the privilege of testing the Brunhilde MTL RTA Tank, but I have noticed that Brunhilde MTL's Airpins are the same and are interchangeable with Lindwurm's, and while I was just thinking this might suit my RDL Vape style well, Sourcemore kindly gave me the option to choose a new device for the review. So I took the opportunity to remove my some curiosities and enthusiastically chose Lindwurm RTA.

When the courier rang the bell, I was at home, I run downstairs to collect the package and immediately opened it. Really everything I wanted was inside the box. Lindwurm RTA looks solid and not too tall, I like the style a lot, on the other hand "103" is the same team that designed Brunhilde RTA.

Vapefly Lindwurm RTA 7.jpg

When choosing a new Tank it is important that you already have a Mod that can guarantee it the best technical / functional support, but you must also carefully evaluate the aesthetics. Vapefly Brunhilde SBS Mod 100W in combination with Lindwurm Tank RTA, can really guarantee all this. Don't you find this combination pretty? I love it, and a lot.

Vapefly Lindwurm RTA 8.jpg

Lindwurm RTA can be easily broken down into 6 main elements; the glass is protected by a sturdy cage with artistic "windows" obtained by laser and with the edges worked with a special "corrosion" technique to give it an antique look. The top cap has an inner ring for the Drip Tip 810, also via the metal adapter (included in the kit) you can also install your favorite 510 Drip Tip. The central block has the bell internally threaded to join the Deck. In the upper external part there are 2 rings for the glass and one for the cage. The single-coil deck offers numerous interesting combinations in terms of airflow; with calibrated nozzles, slots and holes that are arranged in such a way as to offer the user a rather large combined action in terms of adjustments.

Vapefly Lindwurm RTA 9.jpg

With a diameter of only 25.5mm the Lindwurm RTA is developed well in height, but not too much, I would say just enough to hold up to 5ml of e-liquid with a straight and not rounded glass. The type of refill from the top requires you to unscrew the top cap by 1/2 a turn and then use one of the two large slots for filling, which are protected by silicone membranes. The main elements of this tank, starting from the top cap and ending with the AFC adjustment ring, are held together by some solid "bayonet joints". This type of construction when it is well done (as in this case) considerably reduces the assembly / disassembly time of the individual parts.

Vapefly Lindwurm RTA 10.JPG

Vapefly-Lindwurm-RTA-11.jpg

In the image below you can see the central one-piece structure upside down, this to make you observe the internal thread and the hemispherical conformation of the dome. When reassembling the glass you have to insert it from the bottom, then the upper part of the glass will rest on an o-ring, while two internal o-rings will guarantee its sealing at the top. By removing the top cap, you can insert the steel cage from top to bottom and the spur indicated with an arrow (when you screw the deck) will automatically adjust the correct position of the glass. So you can turn the cage into any position and keep the decorations in the exact spot you like.

Vapefly-Lindwurm-RTA-12.jpg

► Vapefly Lindwurm RTA; Bottom AFC + Side AFC:
The ingenious double external air control system is hidden from view, to see it it is necessary to extract the rotating ring, downwards it by pulling . This ring has a bayonet quick coupling / disengagement system. The rotating ring has rotation stops and slides over an o-ring which also performs the task of limiting condensate leakage (excellent system). The 4 grooves inside the ring have different widths and depths between them, in this way you can independently adjust 2 different slots (bottom AFC) in combination with other 2 different air passages (side AFC). Practically turning the ring nut you get a multitude of combinations in the regulation and orientation of the air flow towards the coil.

Vapefly-Lindwurm-RTA-13.jpg

Vapefly-Lindwurm-RTA-14.jpg

► Vapefly Lindwurm RTA; Single Coil Deck:
The deck structure includes a single coil that can be easily installed on the turrets by means of two Allen screws. The cotton containment slots are located in an elevated position and are dimensionally correct for a 3mm coil like the one supplied. Therefore, during the construction of the coil it is necessary to thin the cotton well, especially if you will use diameters greater than 3mm. The internal air flow is distributed by the turrets; on one side through a single rather large hole, and on the other side by three holes aligned horizontally. In the center between the turrets there is the calibrated nozzle that can be replaced with 5 others that we will see shortly.

On the bottom, the 510 pin is adjustable and removable, we also find the C E mark, the disposal logo and the writing "Lindwurm Designed By German 1o3 manufacturing by vapefly".

Vapefly-Lindwurm-RTA-15.jpg

Vapefly-Lindwurm-RTA-16.jpg

► Vapefly Lindwurm RTA; Airflow Pins:
To harmonize the double external control of the air flow with the internal one; Vapefly has included in the Lindwurm package 6 different types of nozzles (Air Pins) which are calibrated differently between them. The 0.9mm Air Pin is what you will find installed by default, the others are respectively; 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.8 / 2.1 / 2.5mm.

Vapefly-Lindwurm-RTA-17.jpg

► Vapefly Lindwurm RTA; Airflow Pins: Coil Build:
In the image below you can see the various installation phases of one of the two original coils contained in the package. It is a pre-built 26ga (KA1) x3 + 38ga (KA1) Coil with a Ø3mm 0.3Ω diameter to push between 30 and 40W. Once you have chosen the air-pins (for this coil I chose the 2.5mm one) you can insert the legs of the coil and tighten the screws. I advise you to adjust the height of the coil according to the position of the air passage holes that are placed on the side of the turrets. Finally you can easily cut the protruding legs. You can activate the coil at a power of 15 / 20W to see if everything works, then after the coil has cooled you can insert the cotton by thinning the ends just enough to be able to insert them effortlessly into the two slots.

Vapefly-Lindwurm-RTA-18.jpg

► Vapefly Lindwurm RTA; Vaping test & final conclusions:
Before starting the construction of the coil, I did some reasoning, but I already had a very clear idea of what I wanted to get from Lindwurm RTA. The first thing I did was to install the 2.5mm airpin, to be used with the 0.3Ω coil supplied. This is because I wanted to quickly get close to the ideal setting for my favorite RDL vaping, which is made of hot vapor, not too loose airflow and strong Hit (throat hit).

Coil installation was a quick operation, as was the finishing of the cotton. The coil gave me a value of 0.30Ω exactly as described! So I started from 30W, the heating is not slow, but not super fast either. So I cranked up the power to 35W before trying 40W. I soon realized that the starting point would be 35W, because the heating rate, the heat of the vapor and the flavor were starting to be well balanced. So I tried all possible airflow combinations (Bottom + Side) and found really significant differences in the amplitude of the flow. Then I decided that I would use both Bottom AFC and Side AFC settings fully open and for a combined action of them. Now I was really getting close to my ideal vaping; decent flavor, medium potency, hit to throath. Since I wanted to keep the power at 35W and slightly increase the hit in the throat, while also getting hotter vapor, I selected a rather large diameter Drip-Tip 510 from my spare parts, and installed it. The result was optimal for me, and I got everything I was looking for from the Vapefly Lindwurm RTA. Sure, the clouds with this configuration aren't very dense, the taste is decent, but I managed to amplify the other features that most interested me and in a short time..

Vapefly-Lindwurm-RTA-19.jpg

Someone might complain of excessive noise and some hissing with some airflow adjustments, and this is the only aspect that may be criticized, but not annoying to me. I have thought a lot about it trying to find other objectionable aspects, but I really don't know of what else one could complain about using the lindwurm RTA.
The strengths of Lindwurm RTA are really many, starting from the aesthetics and robustness, or the purely technical aspects that distinguish it. I particularly liked the AFC multiple adjustment system that allows you different custom adjustments based on the coils. You can pull out a slightly contrasted DL type vape, if you use the original Coil and the supplied 2.5mm air-pin. But also a highly adjustable and Hit-loaded RDL vaping type. Or you can also remove the air-pin leaving the hole completely open and free, to get a rather loose DL vape. But of course to get the maximum DL performance (More vapor and more flavor) you will need to install a lower resistance than the one supplied and at the same time select a higher power in watts. It may seem absurd but you could also install a 0.6Ω coils in combination with the use of the smaller AirPins and a 510 Drip-tip, what you will get will be an unexpected MTL / RDL vape, thanks to the effectiveness of the double external adjustment system Bottom + Side AFC, which also allows you to precisely adjust narrow air passages. I had a great time playing with this Vapefly Lindwurm RTA, looking for and finding an excellent RDL (Restricted Direct Lung) compromise for me. If you think that what I have described in this test may also stimulate your desire to play with a cute and highly configurable tank, then you can certainly invest a small amount of money to start having fun.

I would like to thank Sourcemore for providing me with this Sample. I hope this review was useful for anyone looking to purchase the Vapefly Lindwurm RTA.

Review:Hyde IQ 5000 Rechargeable Disposable Vape Kit 5000 Puffs $18.99

Hyde IQ disposable is a newly launched vape device that comes with a lot of new features. It gives users a lot of surprises. Two LED lights on this disposable vape allow you to know about the vape juice level and battery life through different colors. However, if the battery indicator becomes red, what you need to do is to recharge via its Type-C port.
hyde_IQ.jpg

Vapor from Hyde IQ disposable vape near me is smooth since it is filtered by the built-in mesh coil. Actually, disposable vapes in the market seldom use mesh coil because it is exquisitely made and costs more time to manufacture. But Hyde vape brand makes it for a better silky vape performance.

Also, there is a smart chip inside the device, making it more enjoyable when vaping. It is obviously a disposable vape that understands the customers. Please go to vapor sales online to buy.

How many mods do I need for a car ride??? Test Thread #2

I am taking a joy ride and don't know how many mods I should take. I don't do pods!!! :w00t:

Do I need backup for my squonker??? And should I take a backup for the backup???

How much juice should I take with me???

Guess I should take some extra batteries too???

Not sure how long this ride will be yet!

So... it could be a short or a long ride.

Ummm, I was married for nearly 40 years and that's the kind of thing she would do. "We're going for a short ride to one store". Lol, famous last words after being out for hours and 6 stores later!

Ok, on the serious side, this is a TEST to see how long it takes for XF up/down voting options to show up.

@UncleJunkle has another thread going but because solutions were found and then unsolutioned we don't know if that may have confused the all powerful XF.

So, please, answer my questions with the goofiest answers you can think of!!!

I'll just let the thread sit to see when up/down voting comes into play.

@classwife can delete the thread once we know what we need to know.

Vapefly Alberich MTL RTA burnt taste after about 30ml of liquid

I've having issues with my Vapefly Alberich, it produces a sort of burnt flavor after vaping for less than a day (I'm guessing about 10 refills with the 3ml plastic tank). The cotton is fine, but there's plenty of residue on the coil. I've tried using plain 3.0mm inner diameter spaced coil and the included plain 2.5mm inner diameter contact coil, the result is the same. Tried using my own cotton and the included cotton likewise. I do not trim the ends of my wicks. I've tried cutting the wicks shorter than the build deck by about 2 mm on each side at the risk of flooding (luckily, no flooding happened), same issue. Vaping at 15W. Tried using 2.6mm and 2.0mm airflow pins, no change.

With the same store-bought e-liquids, I haven't had this issue vaping just as much on my Geekvape Zeus DL RTA, cleaning the coil maybe once every 5 days after vaping all day at 20W. The coils I use in the Zeus are plain 3.0mm inner diameter spaced.

I'm guessing the "burnt" flavor is coming not from the cotton, which is fine when I change it, but from the residue on the coil. However, the Zeus builds up residue about 5 times slower. I'm a chain vaper. Does anybody have any insight into why this might be happening?

VOOPOO ARGUS MT 100W KIT review by hittman

I know you may have just recently seen my review on the Argus XT and might wonder why I didn’t combine it with this review on the Argus MT. Well, Voopoo requested two reviews so that is what I’m doing. They have always been excellent to deal with so I don’t mind accommodating their requests. Now that I’ve explained that, let’s talk about the Argus MT. The MT is very similar to the XT but not identical. The MT has an internal 3000mah battery with a max of 100 watts where the XT uses an external battery. It is IP68 tri proof and has a 5v/3A fast charge rating like the XT. It also is powered by the Gene. TT 2.0 chipset and has Smart, RBA, Turbo, and TC functions. The MT kit comes with the same MAAT tank as the XT comes with so I will just copy that information from my previous review in case some didn’t read the other review.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the MT is exactly the same as the XT. It comes in a very nice metal tin with an outer sleeve slid over it. The sleeve has a color picture of the device contained inside. I received the white version. As a matter of fact it is so white that it made it a little difficult to photograph. I won’t be carrying this one at work since my hands get dirty and don’t want to transfer that to the mod.

Once opened, the MT mod is visible along with the MAAT tank, spare glass tank section, and accessory box all mounted inside a plastic insert. Inside the accessory box is a USB-C charging cable and the two included TPP coils. One is the TPP DM4 .3 ohm rated at 32-40 watts and the second coil is the same TPP DM2 .2 ohm coil rated at 40-60 watts as what came in the XT kit. Underneath the mod is a bag of o rings and seals.

There’s no battery adapter with this one since it has a built in 3000mah battery. It is rated at a charge rate of 3A. It does seem to charge fast but when it had about 50% battery when I received it, I plugged it into my Klein USB tester with my Geekvape fast charger and it wasn’t pulling anywhere near 3A.

The Argus MT has very little branding. The Gene TT name is printed on one side with nothing on the other. The leather like material on the back has the ARGUS MT name stamped into it with the mountain symbol above the name.

The 510 top plate is shaped like the mod just like the XT was. It will allow up to a 28mm tank. In the center of the connection is the gold plated and spring loaded center pin. This one also has the lanyard ring on one side. I don’t mind it as much on this one as it seems to give my finger something to rest against and this mod is lighter than the XT. Since the MT has a built in battery there isn’t a battery door on the bottom but instead is a rubbery grey insert. I’m guessing this is to keep it from sliding around on a table or desk.

The adjustment buttons on the MT are a rocker type switch much like the XT but are positioned horizontal instead of vertical and on the MT they are marked with a + and – symbol. The MT also has the flip down cover for the USB-C charging/update port for a seamless design. One thing I thought I might mention is if you do ever need to do an update then you need to use the included cable and it has a triangle on one side of the C connector. This triangle needs to face down in order to do the update.

The chipset and display are the same on the MT as they were on the XT but in case you didn’t get a chance to see my other review then here are the display and button/menu functions.

The display screen gives the following information.

SET WATTAGE

MODE OF OPERATION(SMART, RBA, TURBO, TC)

BATTERY LEVEL INDICATOR WITH PERCENTAGE DISPLAY

PUFF COUNTER

COIL RESISTANCE

OUTPUT VOLTAGE WHILE FIRING

LENGTH OF TIME OF CURRENT PUFF

Just like about every Voopoo mod that I remember trying, if you leave the MT sit for several minutes then go back to use it then you have to push the fire button twice to fire it. They have a built in safety so if it gets hit by accident once then it just wakes the mod up but doesn’t fire. I’m not a big fan of this feature but I understand why they do it.

The menu system for the XT and MT are the same and use the same Gene TT chipset. The menu and button operation are as follows.

Press the fire button five times to turn the mod on/off

Press the fire button and – button to do a puff counter reset if you don’t want to do it through the menu

Press the + and – buttons to enter the menu system where you can choose between Mode, Setting, About Device, and exit

In Mode selection you can choose between Smart, RBA, Turbo, or TC

In the Setting selection you can reset the puff counter, choose to adjust the screen brightness or change the display type

Each of the four modes is displayed in a different color.

Turbo = Red

Smart = Orange

RBA = Blue

TC = Green

One thing that is different on the MT is that the QS Lock switch is built into the bottom portion of the screen and only has two positions instead of three like the XT has. The left position has the mod unlocked and the right position locks the device.

Ok, in case you didn’t see the MAAT tank information on my other review, here it is again. The MT kit included a DM2 .2 ohm coil like the XT kit did but also came with a DM4 .3 ohm coil rated for 32-40 watts. I really like the DM4 coil for battery longevity.

As always, it’s definitely always a good idea to break down a tank as far as possible for cleaning so that’s what I did with the MAAT Tank. It comes with what I consider to be a very nice 810 drip tip with a stainless beauty ring on the bottom to match the tank. The o rings are on the tip on this one rather than inside the top cap. The top cap on this one is a little different than most bayonet style caps I’ve seen on most tanks where the center is how it locks in place. On the MAAT tank there is a lip sticking out on either side of the outside edge of the underneath side of the cap that locks onto the body of the tank with somewhere between 1/8 and ¼ of a turn. This can be seen in the second picture below.

The top of the fill ports is covered by a gasket with a small hole in each side. I know some people like these gaskets but I personally don’t. If you’ve ever tried to fill a tank with a gasket with a glass dropper then you know it makes quite the mess. However, I also use some 10 and 50ml dropper bottles that work fine with this type of fill system. The MAAT tank has a capacity of 6.5ml.

The TPP coils simply push into the bottom of the tank to seal and then the bottom cap that contains the airflow control is screwed on. The inside of the base has three gold plated contacts to help transfer the power from the mod to the tank. There is a complete range of TPP coils that can be used on the MAAT tank.

The airflow of the tank mimics the design of a volcano to prevent leakage. The actual airflow control on the base is rather different from other tanks I’ve seen. There are two metal sliders that protrude a little to make it easier to adjust the airflow. The two openings are quite wide and allow massive amounts of airflow. There are vertical lines on the airflow slider on the MAAT tank that came with the XT to help the user keep track of where it is set but I noticed on the tank that came with the MT that it did not have those markings. Not really necessary but a nice feature none the less.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

The Argus MT kit is another great kit in my opinion. With it having the same Gene TT 2.0 chipset and operation as the XT it’s hard to go wrong. The MT is a bit lighter than the XT and has a really good hand feel in my opinion. I mentioned earlier that I’m not a fan of lanyard rings but on this one it is actually nice to give my pointer finger something to rest against when holding it and it also helps to keep the mod from slipping out of my hand. Just like the XT, I wish the bottom display numbers were a little larger for people like me that don’t see as well as we used to.

The .3 ohm coil was probably my favorite out of the two. It was reading .36 on the MT and I was able to comfortably run it at 35 watts with the airflow mostly choked down. The flavor is really very good and at this lower wattage the vapor production isn’t quite as large as it is with the .2 ohm coil. The .2 coil is very good also and found myself eventually running it at 54 watts after a few days of use. It also produced very good flavor and even larger amounts of vapor. I’m sure if you like a warmer vape then you could run this one much higher. I still only had the airflow about ¼ open.

I really don’t mind that the MT has a built in battery with a 3000mah rating. Some people may turn their nose up at built in battery mods but I honestly can’t think of one mod with a built in battery that has quit on me due to the battery being bad.

So, would I recommend the Argus MT for you? If you like or don’t mind mods with built in batteries then definitely yes. Whether you decide to purchase the kit or just the mod, this is a really good one in my opinion. I wish all mods came with a lock switch.

I’d like to thank Voopoo and Nical for sending the Voopoo Argus MT kit for this review. Thanks also to those who choose to take the time to read my reviews. I hope I have helped you decide if this is a good fit for you. If you’d like to look a little more then there’s a link to the website below.

Geekvape H45 - unable to see the liquid level - my solution.. cut the top off

The H45 is great but there are two problems:
1) You cannot see the liquid level unless you remove the pod.
2) After you remove the pod and put it back in, you cannot vape straight away because the device is locked on "New coil" and you need to press the + button to be able to vape again.

That can be resolved by simply cutting about 3mm off the top of the case with a dremel or similar cutting device, and sanding it down with the sanding attachment.
It leaves bare aluminum metal but you can blacken it with a black permanent marker or car touch-up paint.
It doesn't affect the rigidity since the pod uses magnets to secure it down and it still has a deep footing after cutting off the top.

Now all you need to do is tilt it left and right and now you can see the liquid move to determine the juice level :)
