FIRST IMPRESSIONS


To start out I have to say Voopoo really improved their packaging with the VMATE E, it's a standard box in a sleeve with one end of the sleeve being solid, the other end is open with the box having a small sticker taped halfway. Pulling the sticker pulls the box out showing a rectangular box with Voopoo stamped on it, inside the box is the 2nd pod, type-c charge cord and the user manual. The device lays under the box in a pre-formed plastic tray.

The first thing I noticed was the brilliant deep Blue color of the one sided leather, it really looks very high end and classy. There is a dust cap also covered in leather on one side that has some wiggle to it when shaken. I never really cared for dust caps on devices until recently getting a big piece of pocket lint stuck in another pod I was reviewing, it was a pain getting that piece of lint out of the mouthpiece so now I appreciate a dust cap on a device. The VMATE E is a button free device being auto-draw only, there is however fully adjustable airflow using a slider and it has a maximum power output of 20 watts.





I wanted to charge the device to it's fullest seeing only 3 of the tiny LED's illuminated when I plugged it in to charge. It took about 15 minutes to fully charge and have all 4 LED's on, for their size these are pretty bright. The LED's are your battery status meter and also illuminate when vaping.

You have already seen the front of the device basking in leather but the leather is only on one side of the VMATE E as well as it's dust cap, the back and sides are a beautiful light Gunmetal color with some Voopoo branding printed on it. At first I was disappointed that the entire device wasn't covered in leather but now I like the two-toned effect better.





The device ships with the 0.7Ω mesh pod pre-installed, to me there is a somewhat lightly frosted look that comes through blending nicely with the back of the device's color. On one of the VMATE E's sides DESIGNED BY VOOPOO is lightly printed on it.





On the other side of the device at the top portion is where the airflow selector is located, it's a slider with good resistance not being too tight or loose, it stays where you set it. The selector has criss-crossed knurling making it easy to move up or down, down being fully open.

The VMATE E is really a MTL device but you can get a tight RDL vape with the selector fully open if you wanted to but it's more of a loose MTL, closing the airflow selector fully closed there is still some air able to get in giving a rather tight MTL vape, my sweet spot is 1/4 open. The auto-draw feature works very well on the VMATE E.





As you have seen all corners are rounded off which makes for a very comfortable hand feel, the bottom of the VMATE E is also rounded so standing the device upright although possible is not recommended because the slightest nudge will tip it over and repeated tip overs are not good for any device so lay it down when not using. The bottom is also where the charge port is located, being on the bottom gives the VMATE E a very clean appearance.





Now it's time for a look at the pod, when you receive the kit you will notice a transparent sticker covering the contacts of the pod, Voopoo puts this sticker on for accidental firing in transport which can't really happen with it being a auto-draw only device.

Before removing the sticker fill the pod and let it sit for 10 minutes to be sure the cotton is fully saturated, only then remove the sticker and begin vaping. You can see the 2 contact pins in Gold as well as the auto-draw nozzle between them on the device, the pod connects with 2 strong magnets as most pod devices do.





Filling the 3ml pod is done by pulling up on the rubber plug located on the bottom side of the pod, there is a arrow pointing to the direction to lift up. the plug opens easily and has a very large fill port allowing air to be expelled during filling for a mess free fill.





The airflow is smooth and the flavor on these pods is great ( BOTH OF THEM ). Both pods give a warm vape rather than cool and that's probably why I like them almost equally but the 0.7Ω mesh pod edges the 1.2Ω pod by a very small margin. I am happy that Voopoo decided on a clear pod that at times looks slightly frosted because juice is easily seen.

I have to say that Voopoo has been cranking out some real winners lately and the VMATE E is no exception, the vape is a warm one so if you like cooler vapes this might not be a good fit for you.

I really don't think this has a boost circuit featured but it sure feels like it, the vape is constant all the way up to when it's down to 1 light remaining when it's Red in color which is 10% or less so it's time to charge anyway.

Flavor is great with plenty of vapor as well. I was really hoping for a good performance especially after seeing how attractive it was, I didn't want a let down and the VMATE E didn't let me down. I really enjoy using it and now have to get pods for it for future use. I highly recommend the luxurious looking VMATE E because it's a WINNER!!! I would like to thank Nical and Voopoo for providing the VMATE E for the purpose of my review.

Zovoo DRAGBAR Z700 GT Review



Courtesy of Zovoo/Voopoo (thanks Fiona!), I am pleased to introduce to you and share with you my experience of testing their newest disposable: the Z700 GT!

It was just a few days ago when I published my review of Zovoo’s other recent launches, namely the DRAGBAR R6000 and F8000. With the Z700 GT though, it is vastly different from these two I mentioned, showing some variety in Zovoo’s offerings in the very busy disposable vape devices market.

I have been using these devices for the last couple of weeks as a regular vaper, and I would like to share my vaping experience with them to you all.

Quick specs and features:

- Dimensions at 110 x 21.5 x 9 mm. It is long and flat.

- Amazingly lightweight at 20 g.

- 380 mAh battery.

- Made from PC and PCTG.

- Having a 1.0 to 1.4 ohms Gene Tree Special Edition ceramic coil.

- 2 mL of e-liquid capacity and boasting of a 700 puff life.

Starting with aesthetics, the Z700 GT looks different from your run-of-the-mill disposables with its rectangular and flat form factor. What’s most striking to me was how thin and lightweight it was! It’s even thinner than the pen I use at work (see photo). Quite amazing really considering that it does have a sizeable battery inside.



It is quite ergonomic with smooth finishing all around and is very comfortable to hold and use. I took it with me to the cinema once and because it’s so thin and weighs nothing, it fell out of my pocket and didn’t even realise until I stood up!

This Z700 GT is a very simple disposable. No buttons or airflow control, or replaceable mouthpiece, this one is literally an unpack-and-puff kind of disposable. The plastic shell, whose colour appears to be aligned with the flavour contained inside (like red for Watermelon Strawberry), encases all the internal parts. There is the expected DRAGBAR branding printed on the outside, just to let you know that this is indeed another Zovoo/Voopoo product.

Performance-wise, it operated as I expected it to given the specs. The auto draw is very responsive and fires quickly, delivering a very smooth and silent vape from its ceramic coil. The draw is somewhere between medium and loose MTL with its comfortable flat mouthpiece. Zovoo states that the Gene Tree Special Edition ceramic coil produces finer aerosol particles that creates that smooth vaping experience. And I can vouch for this as this is indeed true in my experience. Vaping it felt like I was vaping effortlessly and clouds (well, MTL clouds) just come out!

Perhaps because of the ceramic coil or low power sent to the coil, the draw itself is on the cool side. Even in the height of the UK heat wave, I could not sense warmth in my puffs. It’s an interesting thing as somehow it makes me think that I’m vaping “nothing”, but after a few puffs, I could definitely feel the nicotine hit I am familiar with when vaping disposables.



Of the 100 flavours available for the Z700 GT, I was sent three of them, namely: Watermelon Strawberry, Pineapple Lime Soda, and Pink Grapefruit Lemonade. All of these flavours were really pleasant to vape and nice on the taste buds. They all also have a touch of cooling in them. The Watermelon Strawberry tasted more of the strawberry with the watermelon being just a hint. The Pineapple Lime Soda was probably my favourite of the three, with the sweet pineapple mixing well with the zing of lime soda. The Pink Grapefruit Lemonade tasted of fresh zesty lemons, blended with that slight tartness from the grapefruit.

The Z700 GT will come in a variety of nicotine salt strengths depending on your region.

Final Thoughts:

The Z700 GT makes for an interesting innovation in disposable vape devices, with its use of ceramic coils and delivery of finer aerosols. For daily use, I can’t really fault it. I would recommend these for vapers or beginners who won’t mind a cool vape albeit satisfying. If a warm MTL vape is your cup of tea (like me), then this one may not be for you.

Sour Blue Slushy (Sl.) by Mod Sauce // E-Liquid Review By HyDrOpOnIc1987

Hello everyone, today I bring something new. I haven't done a liquid review on ECF before, but have done a few reviews for devices and the such so this shouldn't be too difficult (I hope!). I've been getting most of my liquids from True North Vapor since I started vaping a year and a half ago. Because of that, and the reviews I've been writing lately, I decided to reach out and suggest that we work together. As such, I received a nice box full of liquids for me to go through and choose to review. This is the first of the liquids, so let's get to the review!





This flavour is called Sour Blue Sl. but before changes in regulations here in Canada, it was called Sour Blue Slushy by Mod Sauce. Mod Sauce is a brand that True North Vapor created shortly after opening their doors in 2011. It's a brand that was created to be high in VG and to be used by modders back when cloud competitions were still a thing. They also created another line at the same time called Loyal Vape. I'll be reviewing a flavour from that line soon as well.

At the time, True North Vapor's liquid line was very heavy in PG and was known to be beginner device friendly. But, also during that same period, higher wattage devices were becoming more popular and people wanted to blow some clouds and that need lead to the creation of Mod Sauce.
Now that I covered some history and background, lets get to the bottle. We have very strict rules in Canada as to what can be used on labels and what HAS to be included, like the Health Canada Nicotine Warning. As such, we can't have anything that could be deemed as marketing towards children. That means that labels in Canada tend to be rather bare. They have some nice background designs, like the blue splatters on this Mod Sauce bottle, and their company logos, but not much else. Because of that, I wont really be going into detail of the bottles. Instead I will include a photo of the front and back of the bottle.

I want to talk about the liquid now. It's been made to be low in sweetener and to not have a shocking amount of flavour. A lot of the liquids in Canada are like this. It helps to maintain the life of coils as well as to lessen the amount of rewicking needed. Plus, we tend to like flavours a bit less powerful. All this said, the flavour of this liquid is pretty tasty. Immediately on the inhale you get the blue raspberry taste, but then after a second a slight sourness starts on my tongue. It's not overwhelming by any means, but rather it gives it a boldness and fullness that the straight blue raspberry flavour wouldn't have had on its own. There's also a slight sweetness. On the exhale, you get the usual “Blue Slushy" flavour in all it's entirety. The sweetness gets rounded out, and there’s other fruits that I can taste but can't place, that come to the surface. It very much reminds me of running to the store to get a Slush Puppy when I was a kid. So many memories of those slushy's, sharing them with friends. There really isn't much else to say besides that this is almost identical to a blue slushy.

This liquid has a light throat hit typical to a higher VG/ lowish nicotine %, but it is very satisfying when using in any of my mid/higher wattage devices, which is what it's designed for. I use 6mg nicotine (not for children!) and felt that using my new Vaporesso PT80 S Pod Mod (0.15 ohm at 67.5watts) it was a smooth vape and able to produce decent clouds. And, did I mention it was very satisfying?

I definitely recommend checking it out if you know you already like that flavour profile. It’s just as good today as the day the recipe was created.
