Howdy fellow vapers

When I started vapping over two years ago, I was using Caliburn Pod device with Naked 100 (35mg) and Charlie Noble (25mg). Despite me chain vapping, I was re-filling my 2ml pod once a day, max twice.

A year into vapping I decided to cut down on my nicotine and started using freebase, still with Caliburn G 2ml pod device. I still used Naked 100 (tobacco) and Charlie Noble (RY4) freebase in 6mg.

The coil in Caliburn G is UN2-Meshed H 0.8ohm: 13 - 18W.

Since I started freebase, I'm going crazy re-filling the pod at least 8-10 times a day. A 2ml pod with freebase doesnt last me even an hour.

Am I using the wrong device/coil for freebase or the freebase just burns fast in general?
Caliburn G also has UN2-Meshed H 1.0ohm: 10 - 15W and 1.2ohm.

Please help, I really don't want to go back to nic salts with high nic level in flavours that I like.

► Aspire Flexus Stik; First Impressions:
Flexus Stik has an integrated battery of 1200mAh rechargeable via USB-C 5V / 1A and the power is adjustable on 3 different levels. The shot can be both automatic and by means of the fire button which is placed in the lower part. The cartridge has a capacity of 3ml and adopts the AF Mesh Coil heads, inside the package we find the 0.6Ω (15-18W) and the 1.0Ω (12-15W). The 510 drip tip can also be replaced with the one you prefer. It is also possible to adjust the air flow through the slot located on the top of the device near the Pod-Tank. The new entry in the Aspire Flexus series with its aluminum construction is light and robust and the tubular shape is comfortable and easy to carry. The very elegant and clean design is reminiscent of Aspire's AVP Cube.





For this test I received the very beautiful "Silver Diamond Knurling" version with the pleasant chromatic contrast created between the silver body and the dark parts of the cartridge and the bottom of the mod. The central part of the Flexus Stik body has a beautiful decoration made of many diamond-shaped figures that reflect light and are also noticeable to the touch. The USB port appears laterally at the bottom and is integrated with the fire button.



► Aspire Flexus Stik; Top & bottom view:
On the upper part of the tube there is the compartment for inserting the cartridge, inside we find a steel ring that serves as an attraction base for the cartridge magnets. On the bottom there are the gold-plated pins and the sensor for the automatic puff.



At the bottom of Flexus Stik there is an "Old School" activation key very similar to those of mechanical devices.
The key design allows you to safely store the mod in your pocket and rest assured as the key only activates when fully pressed.



► Aspire Flexus Stik; Power Levels & Lights:
The activation key allows you to turn the mod on / off with 5 clicks and the LED flashes white 3 times during these operations. It is also possible to change the power level during the vape with 3 clicks. The LED emits green light when maximum power is selected, blue light = medium power, red light = low power.

Flexus Stik has all the most important safety functions for the user and for children. In particular, the device is blocked after 7s of continuous activation, therefore the cartridge must be extracted and reinserted, the LED flashes green and the device can be reused. The "Time-Out" safety function is based on the requirement of TPD law to prevent children from vaping, but it is also a safety function when you put the device in your pocket or bag.

The led at the base of the device also indicates the current charge level as follows;
• Red Led: The charge level is between 0 and 30% <3.5V
• Blue Led: The charge level is between 30 and 60% = 3.5-3.8V
• Green Led: The charge level is between 60 and 100% = 3.8-4.2V



► Aspire Flexus Stik; Cartridge & AF Mesh-Coils:
The Flexus Stik circular design magnetic cartridge is made of clear PCTG and houses a nice replaceable 510 type drip-tip. The AF coils can be inserted from below by pressure.



► Aspire Flexus Stik; Refil & AFC:
The filling port is positioned in the lower part of the cartridge and is protected by a liftable silicone rubber, so up to 3ml of e-liquid can be inserted.

Once inserted the cartridge into Flexus Stik, can be rotated at will to obtain an MTL or RDL vape through the 5 small side holes.



► Aspire Flexus Stik; Final conclusions:
The kit is compatible with the full range of Aspire AF Coils and comes with two different Mesh options, both with great flavor:

• AF Mesh Coil 0.6Ω (15W-18W) Kanthal AF - RDL vaping:
Definitely excellent for my way of vaping, this coil with the selected medium power level and with wide open AFC satisfies me completely because it has a strong delivery, rich in flavor and is able to produce dense clouds of vapor. Every so often to fill my need for hot steam and Hit I close the AFC finding my weak point very easily. With this coil and with a battery life cycle we are able to consume about 6ml of e-liquid.

• AF Mesh Coil 1.0Ω (12W-15W) Kanthal AF - MTL vaping:
This resistance is suitable for those looking for a fairly narrow type of Puff MTL and with tobacco or creamy liquids it expresses itself quite well in terms of aroma. The adjustment of the AFC for MTL is perfect up to guaranteeing maximum closure without any passage of air. With this coil and with a battery life cycle we are able to consume about 8ml of e-liquid.

There are no spitting phenomena and the formation of condensation of both coils between the pod and the contacts of the mod is well manageable, just dry any e-liquid residues at the end of the day. The automatic Puff also works well with large AFC openings. I like the "Mech Style" activation key to be able to select the power levels or to turn off the Mod, but to vape I rarely use it as the automatic puff is very sensitive and activates without any effort. The built-in 1,200mAh battery takes about 60 minutes to fully charge.

► Aspire Vilter Pro; First Impressions:
I did not expect to receive a starter kit consisting of a Vape Pen and a PB from Aspire in such a short time. In fact, I recently talked about an Aspire device with very similar technical characteristics. Vilter Pro therefore joins another excellent product, similar, but with a different form factor. This is Aspire Vilter S + Vilter-PB. Both kits (the new and the old one) are featured in the photo below.



Here we see the PB with the Mod installed, until recently it seemed a utopia to have a Pod Mod system with such a high battery capacity and with such small dimensions. Furthermore, the tactile feeling is added to the "cig.feeling" thanks to the possibility of extracting the POM drip tip and inserting a paper filter in its place.



► Aspire Vilter Pro; Power Bank + Vape Pen:
The Kit can be used in different ways; holding only the Vape Pen in your hand or for greater autonomy by keeping the Pen connected to the Power Bank or placing the Pen vertically on the PB. The power bank has a 1600mAh battery that supports fast charging via USB-C at a rate of 2A. You can then charge the Vilter Pro device wirelessly through the central magnetic connection inside the PB. The Mod inserted into the PB charges at a rate of 0.5A. The recharging of PB + Mod takes place in about 50 minutes, obtaining a full 2020mAh of total capacity.





► Aspire Vilter Pro; Design & Led:
Sturdy construction and no superfluous decoration, I received for this test the Kit with "Gold and Hunter Green" coloring which I consider pleasant with that vintage effect it can offer. The PB + Pen is made entirely of solid metal, the pen is made of steel and the PB of zinc alloy. On the sides and in the part of the handle, the PB is elegantly covered with a thin layer of leather or imitation leather, pleasant to the touch.

In the image below you can see the LED present on the pen. When the pen is charged, the LED flashes green 20 times. When you connect the Pen to the PB, the LED flashes 3 times green and 3 times red when you turn it off.
This LED indicates the battery charge level of the Pen as follows:
• Green Led: 60-100% 3.8-4.2V
• Blue Led: 30-60% 3.5-3.8V
• Red Led: 0-30% <3.5V



The Vape Pen device incorporates the "Time-Out" safety function which blocks the device after 6.5s of continuous vaping. To reactivate the Puff just reinsert the Pod into the Vape Pen and the LED will flash white 3 times.



In the image below you can see the bottom and the top of the VapePen + PB Kit, the pen can be inserted into the PB indifferently with the cartridge towards the top or bottom of the PB. In this picture, the bottom shows the bottom of the Pen and the USBC charging port of the PB with multiple charging function, directed into the PB and wirelessly towards the Vape Pen. The PB signaling LED is also present near the USB-C port.
This LED signals the PB charge level as follows:
• Green Led: 60-100% 3.8-4.2V
• Blue Led: 30-60% 3.5-3.8V
• Red Led: 0-30% <3.5V
• When the PB is charged, the LED flashes green 5 times.

In the upper part of the PB there is the on / off button. When the PB is turned on, the LED flashes 3 times green, and 3 times red when it is turned off.



► Aspire Vilter Pro; Disposable Pod & Air Flow:
The pen houses a very dark PCTG cartridge in the part visible from the outside. The cartridge has a capacity of up to 2ml of e-liquid, the side filling port consists of a fairly large hole and a liftable silicone rubber, after the first filling I advise you to wait 5 minutes to give the time to the cotton and the coil to absorb the e-liquid. The cartridge on the bottom has good magnets to connect solidly to the Pen. The passage of air is regulated by two very small opposing holes, present on the pen. The air passage in combination with the POM Drip-Tip produces a slightly narrowed Puff MTL up to an even narrower Puff MTL using one of the paper filters that are supplied. So it is a simple but really effective system for MTL vaping.



► Aspire Vilter Pro; Final remarks:
For me the only big flaw of this e-cig is the cartridge which is transparent but only in the part that remains inside the Vape Pen, so to see the e-liquid level you have to extract the cartridge, luckily it consumes little. However, you must periodically remember to check, to avoid burning the coil prematurely. For the rest, Aspire's Vilter Pro is a well-assembled and built Electronic Cigarette. This Kit uses a 1600mAh Powerbank, which together with the 420mAh of the Vape Pen, bring the energy reserve to a total of 2020mAh which is a capacity never seen on a Pod Mod of this type. This elegant Starter Kit is made with high-quality metal materials that make the entire device resistant to shocks and long-lasting over time.
