Closed/Sold ASMODUS Colossal 80w (Black)

I'm looking for a black ASMODUS Colossal 80w mod.

I dropped mine and a few days later it wouldn't turn on. I took the batt out and checked it's voltage. It was .6 volts. I thought the batt just went bad and put in another fully charged one. After 3 or 4 puffs an error message appeared on the screen ... something like "temperature too high". Yep it was. In that short a time I could feel the bottom of the mod become very warm.

Popped the batt out and retried ... same result. So I'm hoping to find a replacement.

► Freemax Maxus Solo 100W Kit; First Impressions:
Maxus Solo is a recent Mod by Freemax with a strong and sturdy zinc alloy frame, overall though, Maxus Solo turns out to be quite light. It's not a big mod, but it's not super small either as it can accommodate a single battery (21700, 20700 or 18650) and can deliver up to 100W. Maxus Solo also features VPC, Bypass, TC and TCR modes. The Maxus Solo Boost circuit is indispensable and necessary for the proper functioning of the Mod when the battery level is low. The Mod features LED lighting on the front and back of the device. These LEDs can be set in a variety of ways with an incredibly broad spectrum of colors and choreography. Of course, the lighting can be completely deactivated by making only the display visible.

The new Fireluke Solo tank (paired with the Maxus Solo Mod) uses Freemax's new FM COILTECH 5.0 with dual mesh SS904L and tea fiber cotton, and remains compatible with the excellent Coils FM COILTECH 4.0 platform.
The Fireluke Solo tank has a tank capacity of 5ml (2ml TPD) with the dual slot adjustable airflow. When it comes to DL vaping performance, Freemax is the gold standard for their amazing coils, both for flavor and durability. You can't go wrong choosing Freemax coils and tanks as they are consistently on top. I am currently having a lot of fun with both the updated Fireluke Tank and the Marvos CRC Pod Tank which is installed on the Marvos X 100W Mod which I will talk about very soon in an upcoming review.

Freemax-Maxus-Solo-100-W-Kit-8.jpg

► Freemax Maxus Solo 100W Kit; Screen and control keys:
The screen surrounded by LEDs extends over the entire front profile of the Mod. The transparency of the screen allows you to see the chip. Of course, if you are not a fan of the LED and its many settings, you have the option to turn it off and you can only view the background of the display with one of the six basic colors. Also on the Display you can rely on a complete set of information. The FIRE key is located at the top, slightly protruding and rectangular in shape with a longitudinal dividing line in the center, the same design is reserved for the "+ and -" adjustment keys which are located at the bottom and above the Type-C charging port .

Freemax-Maxus-Solo-100-W-Kit-9.jpg

Maxus Solo also implements the Mod lock function through a sliding button positioned on the side, this button may seem trivial, because you can lock the keys while continuing to vape, or you can turn off the Mod with five clicks before putting it back in your pocket. Actually the Mod lock slide button can come in handy when you want to quickly turn off the LED lights to show them when you decide to vape to you and all your nerdy friends. It seems to me an intelligent management to be able to turn off the lighting both momentarily and quickly using the button, or totally through the setting. Deactivating the LED certainly saves battery energy, for a longer vaping autonomy.

► Freemax Maxus Solo 100W Kit; Side and rear profile:
The frame entirely surrounds the Mod, the metal is thick and sturdy and looks like it can withstand everyday wear and tear. The clear part surrounded by the LED lights extends from panel to panel, so the back is also clear with a design that allows the LED lights to shine incredibly powerfully. My mon photographs do justice to these super bright highly scenic LEDs.

Freemax-Maxus-Solo-100-W-Kit-13.jpg

► Freemax Maxus Solo 100W Kit; 510 thread and bottom base:
The gold plated pin is spring loaded and is positioned in the center at the top of the Mod. The Tank Fireluke with its 28.5mm diameter is perfectly housed on the Mod. In the lower part of Maxus there is an arrow indicating the opening direction of the door to insert or remove the external battery.

Freemax-Maxus-Solo-100-W-Kit-14.jpg

► Freemax Maxus Solo 100W Kit; Battery compartment:
By opening the flap you can insert a 20700, 21700 or 18650 battery with the adapter included in the kit. The indications for the battery polarity are found on the inside of the flap. This system is my favorite for inserting a battery, this is flawless, closes securely and meets my expectations.

Freemax-Maxus-Solo-100-W-Kit-15.jpg

► Freemax Maxus Solo 100W Kit; Tank Fireluke Solo:
For this test (TPD version) Freemax was kind enough to send me a 5ml convex Pyrex glass for my Fireluke Solo. Refueling is child-proof and this system is great for their safety. The top cap opens after lifting it and sliding it following the arrow indicating the opening direction.

Freemax-Maxus-Solo-100-W-Kit-16.jpg

The Fireluke Solo Tank adopts a replaceable 810 Drip Tip, moreover the tank is completely removable to facilitate cleaning operations. The coils are inserted from the bottom and after having unscrewed the base. The base houses an adjustable AFC system with a rotating ring with end stops. The two opposing slots are wide to allow a deep DL vape. If you turn the ring and close the buttonholes you can instead get a tighter and very precise adjustment for your RDL vape.

Freemax-Maxus-Solo-100-W-Kit-17.jpg

► Freemax Maxus Solo 100W Kit; Coils and Vaping Test:
Fireluke Solo is compatible with Freemax's FM COILTECH 4.0 platform but of course also with the new pre-installed FL-D COILTECH 5.0 with double Mesh.
The composition of both Coils included with the Maxus Solo 100W kit is of military grade Mesh SS904L with tea fiber cotton.

• Pre-installed 0.15Ω Mesh Coil FL1-D Range 50-80W:
Lately i triggered my new Coils (only the big ones for DL) with a rather original method, tying them with a thread and immersing them completely in the liquid bottle for 10 seconds. I must say that with this method I feel good and I don't waste time. Then I slightly dry the outside of the coils and put it in the tank, then I fill the tank with e-liquid and wait about 10 minutes. Starting to use the FL1-D Coil I start at 40W and slowly increase the power up to 50W, then I start making longer puffs with my strawberry 70/30 e-liquid. The first Puffs (50W) are clean and free of weird flavors, but the results in terms of flavor and vapor are already impressive. I decide to try all the powers up to reach 80W with the airflow completely open and the results are more monstrous. I must say that at 80W the heat begins to be felt even if it is not excessive, so I find my weak point at 65W and I continue to enjoy my strawberry with enormous satisfaction. Testing the RDL style it seems that even at low wattages from 40 to 50W the coils work well, are responsive and taste great in combination with an open AFC setting of 50% or even less.

• Mesh Coil FL2 0.2Ω Range 50-80W:
As before I used the same strawberry e-liquid and started vaping the same way as before: Starting at 40W and reaching 50W to start taking longer hits. At 50W the flavor and vapor start to be nice and without weird flavors. So I try all powers up to 80W. The test produced results very similar to the previous FL1-D resistance, but with slightly less intense and full-bodied flavor and vapor (for the same Watt). With this Coil I found my weak point by setting 55W of power with the AFC ring open for 40/50%.

Freemax-Maxus-Solo-100-W-Kit-18.jpg

Freemax-Maxus-Solo-100-W-Kit-19.gif

► Freemax Maxus Solo 100W Kit; Final conclusions:
The Mod Maxus Solo with the many advanced functions it possesses might seem difficult to set up, in reality it is simple and it does not take much time to learn. The display offers a complete overview of information and settings. Some people might argue that all those lights are annoying and useless, others will love them and be impressed. In any case, you can always turn off the LED.

The flavor and vapor of FL Coils are really hard to beat! Freemax continues to produce high-level innovative products with evident results for all to see. I don't think you will be disappointed if you buy one of these kits.

Thanks to Freemax for sending me this sample for review.

Zovoo Cubebar 600 Disposables Review

Zovoo Cubebar 600 Disposables Review

upload_2022-8-22_2-45-45.png

With thanks to Zovoo/Voopoo (thanks Fiona!), I am pleased to present to you, lovely lot, the CubeBar 600!

Yes, it is another iteration of a vape disposable, but having tested so many by now, I can tell you that not all of them are made equal. And we shall have a look at what the Zovoo CubeBar600 brings to the table in this review, after my use of them these past weeks.

Quick specs and features:

- Dimensions at 96 x 18 x 18 mm. It’s small and shaped kind of like an olive oil bottle with a very short neck!

- 400 mAh battery.

- Appears to be made from PC and PCTG.

- Having a 1.5 ohms coil.

- 2 mL of e-liquid capacity and I suppose the “600” in the model name hints towards a 600-puff life, which is typical of a 2mL capacity disposable vape device.

- Available in 10 flavours per Zovoo’s website.

The device comes in stylish and colourful packaging with loads of information printed around the outer box including device specs, manufacturer information, and of course the flavour! Surprisingly, this device comes with a user manual inside the box- something I rarely see with disposables.

It is mainly made of plastic which makes it very lightweight. The brand and flavour are printed in front, and its bottom has an LED light that activates when vaping and lights up when battery becomes low. It’s simple and straightforward, free from extra features such as airflow control or ability to recharge the battery.

The device shell itself has a vertical stripe design going on that appears to be underneath the outermost plastic coating, and this adds a little more flair to its looks. The mouthpiece is fixed but is quite comfortable, as it narrows a little from the device body but then flares out towards the tapered top.

It’s comfortable in the hand, easy to slip inside one’s pocket, and is very portable making it an ideal carry device.

upload_2022-8-22_2-46-1.png

From a performance point of view, I have to say that the CubeBar 600 actually surprised me a little! The auto draw is very responsive, delivering a smooth and quiet vape. But there were two things that really stood out for me with the CubeBar 600 against most disposables I have reviewed, and that is draw tightness and draw warmth. In terms of tightness, it’s akin to almost a tight MTL that is amazingly close to that from a cigarette. I’m really impressed by that!

Now, most TPD (read: 2 mL capacity) disposables I’ve tried are often cool on the vape, perhaps to maximise puff life whilst preserving the battery as much as possible. Not the CubeBar 600, as this one actually gives a decent and warmish MTL vape. And for someone like me, that warmth just adds a little extra to the satisfaction I want to achieve when vaping. The vape just really hits the spot for me!

upload_2022-8-22_2-46-15.png

I was sent five flavours to try, namely: Cola Ice, Blood Orange Ice, Honeydew Ice, Pineapple Mango, and the quite unique Ginger Lemonade. These were pleasant to vape, with dense flavour and actually not dry-tasting unlike some disposable on the market. Although they all have a touch of cooling in them, the “ice” feeling doesn’t overwhelm the taste or main favour notes which is always a pro. They all tasted as I expected, but truth be told I wasn’t sure what to expect of the Ginger Lemonade having never vaped this type of flavour before. Well, surprisingly it was actually quite nice and refreshing! It kind of tastes like a sweet soothing lozenge you might pop in when you’ve got a sore throat. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t taste like medicine, rather a strong lemonade sprinkled with mild ginger taste. I quite liked it!

Final Thoughts:

I would happily recommend the Zovoo CubeBar 600, no question about it! For those that use disposable vapes, or vapers wanting an easy back-up device, and most of all for smokers wanting to switch to vaping, you can’t really go wrong in choosing the CubeBar 600. It will satiate your nicotine and MTL draw cravings (regarding the draw cravings, ex-smokers will know what I’m talking about).

My sincerest thanks again to Zovoo/Voopoo for allowing me to review these products!

Smok P3 Mag

Hello,

I have the Smok P3, and I read it was updatable, but I haven't found a way to check and/or do this. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Also, I've noticed a few issues. It's supposed to be dust/water etc proof, except I've had to tighten down my 510 pin at least 3 times. I know juice has gotten into the battery compartment a few times. Plus the rubberized sleeve has actually separated from itself in places. Are these common issues? I love the form factor of this mod, since I have carpal tunnel and get the dropsies often.

VOOPOO ARGUS XT KIT REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Hello once again folks and welcome back for the 2nd review of the new Argus series of devices, if you missed the first review of the Argus MT Kit I'll leave a link for you here. https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/threads/voopoo-argus-mt-kit-reviewed-by-bigbob2322.975717/. Today's review will cover the Argus XT Kit that uses a replaceable 21700 or 18650 battery, there is a supplied 18650 adapter shipped with it pre-installed in the device. Like the Argus MT the XT is a IP68 rated device making it shockproof, dustproof and waterproof. I was sent a sample version for review so the final retail version might have some small changes to it. There's a lot to cover so lets get started with my review of the Argus XT Kit.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

After opening the Argus MT I reviewed the other day I was hoping for the same wow feeling opening the Argus XT and not quite as brilliant as the White MT version is I like it. Voopoo always does a great job with packaging on the Argus Kits and this one is no exception, again a metal tin is used to hold the Argus XT and Matte tank, coils, charging cable, spare O-rings, fill port gasket, 18650 battery adapter and user manual. As I said in my opening sentence I was sent a sample version of the Argus XT Kit so the final retail version may be slightly different.

A big thumbs up to Voopoo for the metal tin because it is so useful for storing vape related material such as wicking material, coils, tools or whatever you can fit inside. The supplied 18650 battery adapter is pre-installed in the device so you'll need to remove it if using a 21700 battery.

20220820_150258.jpg

I won't be covering the new Matte Tank in this review as I covered it in the Argus MT Kit review earlier, check out the review link I posted in the beginning of this review. I will tell you this about the new Matte Tank ( very good flavor with plenty of airflow ).

I was sent the Silver Grey sample version that has leather wrapped on the sides and spine of the device, the leather has a very soft cushy feel to it but it's done in 2 different colors of Grey and a light Green with the body being Silver metal.

I don't quite know how I feel about the 2 choices of the leather colors but I will say it has been growing on me the more I use it. I really like the look of the embossed Argus XT and mountain top symbol between the double stitching that separates the 2 colors on the spine of the device.

20220820_153055.jpg

One side of the device has branding of Gene TT printed at the bottom portion of the devices body which is done lightly, but the other side of the Argus XT has no branding at all. Although the inner metal body has some nice sparkle to it it's a bit of a fingerprint magnet. On the outer body the metal is a shiny but matt finish that's not prone to fingerprints.

20220820_152944.jpg

I don't know how you feel about lanyard rings on a Mod but I don't like them, I personally know of no one that uses one or likes them but as the Argus MT has one so does the Argus XT but thankfully it's in a location and done with a minimal appearance that I hardly even notice it when vaping so I can't really knock it to bad. The top plate continues the shape of the Argus XT, I actually like the shape and you'll be happy to know that a 28mm atomizer will fit.

20220820_160841.jpg

The Argus XT uses the familiar bottom trap door for the battery that so may manufacturers use, being a IP68 rated device it has to withstand drops and falls without opening and although I haven't actually dropped the Mod I have slammed it down hard several times on a hard surface without it opening. There is a arrow pointing in the direction to open it using the inner portion of it.

There is only one polarity marking on the Argus XT with it being on the battery trap door contact with a - minus symbol, no positive + symbol is inside the device.

20220820_161437.jpg

20220820_170918.jpg

Like the Argus MT the Argus XT uses a lock switch that allow the device to be locked without having to do the 5 presses of the Power/Fire button shutting the device off when carrying in a pocket for safe travel.

Unlike the Argus MT that has a 2 position lock switch (ON/OFF) the Argus XT uses a 3 position lock switch that when in the 3rd position all the way to the right it only locks the adjustment buttons but still allows you to vape.

When facing the switch the far left position locks the entire device from operating, a locked padlock symbol, single bar line, and a circle with a diagonal line are printed on the device below the locking switch. In the center position you can vape but the adjustment buttons are unlocked. When the adjustment buttons are locked a red circle with a diagonal line appears at the bottom right of the wattage on the display screen. The screen layout is below.

SCREEN LAYOUT - TOP TO BOTTOM / LEFT TO RIGHT

* Power Mode Selected

* Battery Percentage % / Battery bar

* Puff Counter

* Ohms

* Volts

* Seconds Of Last Vape

20220820_173719.jpg

20220821_075915.jpg

The front face of the device has a pretty clean look with almost all the buttons, charge port drop down door, Power/Fire button and lock switch having a almost flush to the Mod feeling to them with some button rattle coming from the rocker bar adjustment button and drop down charge port door, the lock switch a Power/Fire button is solid on the sample version.

The rocker bar adjustment button is very responsive and easy to operate, scrolling is very fast as well. The charge port drop down door locks into place with a click securing it. Having 4 power modes including 3 in TC mode for NI,TI, and SS is a big plus and there are 3 memory settings when using TC mode.

There is a Turbo mode that increases power at the beginning of the vape for a added kick which works well. The Smart mode gives a recommended wattage and wont allow you to go past the maximum recommended wattage for the coil your vaping. In RBA mode you have the power to set your wattage at any range up to the full power output of 100 watts.

Each of the power modes has it's own color as well which is kind of nice giving the display screen a new look Turbo - (RED) Smart - (ORANGE) RBA - (BLUE) TC - (GREEN). Getting into the menu system is very easy and easy to navigate through as well.

20220820_173921.jpg

MENU SYSTEM

* On/Off - 5 Quick Presses Of The Power/Fire Button

* To Enter The Menu System - Press And Hold Both Adjustment Buttons Simultaneously

* Once In The Menu Use Either Adjustment Button To Move To The Mode Or Setting Selection, Once There Press The Power/Fire Button To Open it, Once Your Selection Is Made Press The Power/ Fire Button To Lock In And Activate Your Selection

I have to say that Voopoo has done it again releasing another winner of a Kit with the Argus MT. Hand fitment is great with thumb or finger fire and it has a good weight to it, not light or heavy either. Build quality of the device feels above average with no button rattle and a nice tactile feel to them with a audible click from all the buttons. There is no lag in firing of the device what so ever.

20220820_180026.jpg

PROS

* Attractive

* Solid Build

* Easy Menu

* Bright

* Vivid

* Very Good Flavor

* IP 68 Rated

* Lock Switch

* 3A Charging

CONS

* Wattage And Font Size Should Be of Equal Size

* Lanyard Ring

* Slight Rattle Of Adjustment Button And Charge Port Door

FINAL IMPRESSIONS

A big thumbs up to Voopoo on the release of the Argus MT Kit, it seems that in the past 8 months that Voopoo has really stepped up their game releasing winner after winner of devices and kits from pods to full sized kits of which several of each are in my daily rotation of personal use.

I would think most if not all of you can agree that the XT is a very attractive device alone but looks don't make a winner. The reason I consider it a winner is the vape that I get from the kit including the Matte Tank and TPP Coils, very flavorful with more than enough vapor.

Having 3A charging is also one plus that lets you come to a full charge quickly and something I forgot to mention is that when charging little animated bubbles rise from the bottom of the display screen like carbonation bubbles from soda, very cool looking!

The lock switch work great and I wish every device had one, I know it takes not time to press a button 5 times quickly but sliding a switch is quicker when putting it in a pocket and also quicker when ready to vape again.

I really like the Turbo mode getting that little added kick of power at the beginning of a vape, for most people the Smart mode will prove beneficial preventing accidental wattage adjustment over the maximum wattage for the coil installed.

Using the supplied 0.15Ω coil rated for between 60-80w and a best setting of 65-75w I never needed to exceed the minimum of 60 watts for very good flavor so this coil will last a little bit longer vaping it at it's minimum recommended wattage and help preserve battery life.

Using the 0.2Ω coil rated for between 40-60w and a best setting of 50-55w I found my sweet spot at 52watts. Out of the 2 coils I prefer the 0.15Ω because it edges the 0.2Ω coil out by a bit with flavor in my opinion, every vaper is different so my findings might be different than yours but both supplied coils put very good flavor.

I would like to thank Nical and Voopoo for providing the Argus XT Kit for the purpose of this review and I hope that I answered all of your questions about the Argus XT Kit.

THANK YOU

Yumi POPMOD & EPICMOD Disposables

a2ngnO3.jpg

Hello again and welcome to another Z-Lee review. Today we have two different disposable vapes made my Yumi called the POPMOD and EPICMOD. For the most part, they're both very similar, but they do have their differences. Which one might be best for you is based on what you want most out of a disposable vape and the particular flavor you're after. While both of these disposables have the same flavor options, they do taste different across models. I'll get into a more in-depth description as we progress through this review.

I was asked by Sue over at HealthCabin to do these reviews, and while I don't see myself flipping over to disposables from coil head tanks and rebuildables, they may be a great fit for you. Anything to get you off of big tobacco's stinkies is a win in my book. As always, this review will be conducted in fairness and with honesty.

Alright, lehgo.

- YUMI POPMOD -

  • USB Type-C charging port (0.2 - 0.5A)
  • Adjustable airflow
  • Mesh coil

I received the Blueberry, Grape, and Watermelon for this review. Unfortunately the Watermelon package was leaking upon arrival and ended up killing the battery, so Blueberry and Grape is what I'll describe below as best as I can with comparisons against the EPICMOD when applicable.

- Blueberry -
Flavor Notes: Blueberry, Menthol

Airflow Adjustments: Loose MTL to Very Restricted Direct Lung

Flavor Description: Both flavors are equally prevalent. In comparison to the Blueberry EPICMOD, the menthol is more pronounced leaving a greater cooling sensation on the inhale and exhale.

Rating: 7.5 - I like a little menthol in my vapes, but I'm not the biggest fan of strong menthol. This would probably rate higher for those who like a stronger menthol sensation.

- Grape -
Flavor Notes: Grape, Menthol

Airflow Adjustments: Loose MTL to Very Restricted Direct Lung

Flavor Description: The grape flavor is a sugary candy grape. It's what you'd imagine from a grape Warhead, or grape flavored Kool-aid with the cooling sensation of menthol. Unlike the Blueberry POPMOD, the distribution of grape and menthol flavoring favors the candy grape a slight bit.

Rating: 8.0 - I know there are some individuals out there that absolutely love grape flavored vapes. If you are one of those individuals that likes candy grape with a soothing menthol kick, then this one would be right up your alley.

*Note* At the time of this review, the Grape POPMOD battery has ceased to function properly or take a charge.

- REVIEW TESTING & OBSERVATIONS -

7ZrdKJz.jpg

All POPMOD disposables arrived and looked to be in good health. Upon closer inspection and some passing time, 2 of the 3 disposables ended up being inoperative. The battery compartment of the 3 and only survivor wants to pop out when I try and remove the USB Type-C charging cable.

MPMR5ft.jpg

(R.I.P. Watermelon)

HsebRfD.jpg

In hand, the disposable feels smooth with the polished aluminum casing and it looks great. It's extremely lightweight and very pocket friendly. The adjustable sliding airflow switch on the bottom is a definite plus, although the range of airflow is pretty miniscule. I'd say it ranges from a loose MTL to a very Restricted Direct Lung. There is a small LED on the bottom that lights up when you take a drag or plug/unplug the charging cable. It will also flash 3 times when the battery is dead.

The tested charging speed for the POPMOD ranged from 0.2 to 0.5A. 0.2A would likely take nearly half a work day to charge a 700 mAh battery (3.5 hours), while a 0.5A charge would likely take about an hour and a half. 0.5A isn't unusual for a 700 mAh battery, but 0.2A definitely is. If I had to guess how many puffs the battery lasted before it needed a recharge, I'd say 100ish puffs. The Type-C port does read a 3.0 QC charging cable however, there's no pass-through vaping. The cable must be unplugged before vaping.

When the vape is working, it definitely dishes out a lot of flavor in the advertised salt nic concentration (5% in this case). I may have just received a bad batch of samples, but I can only judge based on what I've experienced.

- PROS/CONS/CONSIDERATIONS -
++ PROS ++
  • Very light weight
  • Very compact
  • Extremely easy to use
  • Looks sleek
  • Great flavor output (flavor choice is subjective)
  • Nicotine delivery on point
  • USB Type-C port (0.2 -0.5?)
  • Reads a USB Type-C 3.0 QC cable which is very convenient

- - CONS - -

  • Reliability?
  • Build quality/assembly is questionable
  • Potential for leaking if you get a bad one

+ - PREFERENTIAL CONSIDERATIONS - +

  • Lanyard loop (lanyard not included)
  • 0.2 to 0.5A charging speed
  • No pass-through vaping

- POPMOD OVERALL RATING -

8.0

(for the working POPMOD)

4.5 - 5.0
(lack of reliability can't be overlooked)

- YUMI EPICMOD -

AS8vU2c.jpg

The EPICMOD seems to be a slightly younger version of the POPMOD when comparing them side by side. The only major differences between them are the airflow, the hand feel, and the shape of the mouth piece. Being that the EPICMOD lacks an airflow control, the shape of the mouth piece would further suggest that this device is meant more for (loose) MTL vapers.

What you can expect from the EPICMOD:

  • 0/20/30/50 mg/mL salt nic (HealthCabin only selling 50 mg/mL)

KOCS6BB.jpg

I received the Blueberry, Grape, and Pink Lemonade flavors for this review. I will describe below as best as I can with comparisons against the POPMOD when applicable.

- Blueberry -
Flavor Notes: Blueberry, Menthol, Sweetener?

Airflow Adjustments: None

Flavor Description: The blueberry flavor clearly overpowers the menthol additive. However, unlike the POPMOD, I'm getting a much sweeter flavor. This could be due to the lower presence of menthol which makes the blueberry pop out more, or an additive sweetener has been splashed in.

Rating: 8.0 - The menthol is far less present in the EPICMOD in comparison to the POPMOD however, you still get the cooling sensation of the menthol. This would probably rate higher for those who like more of a sweeter flavor.

- Grape -
Flavor Notes: Grape, Menthol

Airflow Adjustments: None

Flavor Description: The grape flavor is a mixture of candy grape and a real grape. To my surprise, the grape is a bit more subtle than the POPMOD, and maybe a tad bit sweeter or tart. I will however say that the menthol is much more prevalent in grape than it is in blueberry when comparing EPICMODS. An even blend of grape, menthol, and sweetener with a tad bit of a tart aftertaste.

Rating: 8.5 - This type of grape is more up my alley. If you want a more sweeter (tart?) grape flavor and less of a sugary one (if that makes any sense), this is a better choice over the POPMOD.

- Pink Lemonade -

Flavor Notes: Pink Lemonade (?), Menthol

Airflow Adjustments: None

Flavor Description: I'm not exactly sure how to describe this. I can definitely taste the lemonade, but it's like they shoved a bunch of flowers into the glass and muddled it all together. There's a floral taste mixed in with the lemonade. It's almost like I took in a mouth full of lemonade and then smelled some pungent wild flowers while swallowing the lemonade. I think pink lemonade way back in the day was actually made like this, but this isn't what I'd expect from a pink lemonade disposable. The menthol is more subtle in this disposable, but still very present. By percentage, I'd say 40% lemonade, 35% wild flowers, and 25% menthol.

Rating: 6.5 - The flavor profile just doesn't jive with the description very well. If the flavor was OG Pink Lemonade, I think that would be more accurate and would probably give some people a heads up that this isn't a Kool-aid-type pink lemonade. A little bit of additional sweetener might have helped this one out a bit.

- REVIEW TESTING & OBSERVATIONS -

qnBmvqK.jpg

Basic differences:

  • 14 mL capacity vs 12 in the POPMOD
  • >5500 puffs over >4500 puffs
  • 650 mAh battery instead of 700 mAh
  • Exterior is made of a silicon/rubber and plastic instead of the brushed aluminum

g3YYJZ8.jpg

There really isn't much difference between the POPMOD and EPICMOD strictly by looking at their specs. The POPMOD hosts a 700 mAh battery while the EPICMOD sports a 650 mAh battery. Their overall size and physical attributes are very close with the exception of some additional edges etched into the EPICMOD. The EPICMOD doesn't have an airflow control, and the airflow hole sits on the side. Judging by the build quality, the EPICMOD seems quite a bit more robust and forgiving if dropped being that the bottom 2/3 of the device is a single rubbery plastic piece. The only way this could leak is if the disposable sat on its side for a prolonged amount of time.

- PROS/CONS/CONSIDERATIONS -
++ PROS ++
  • Less subject to leak based on construction
  • Very light weight
  • Very compact
  • Extremely easy to use
  • Looks sleek
  • Mouth piece is suited for MTL lip sealing
  • A little bit of grip in-hand
  • Built sturdy
  • Good flavor output (flavor choice is subjective)
  • Nicotine delivery on point
  • USB Type-C port (0.5A)
  • Reads a USB Type-C 3.0 QC cable which is very convenient
- - CONS - -
  • No airflow control
+ - PREFERENTIAL CONSIDERATIONS - +
  • Lanyard loop (lanyard not included)
  • 0.5A charging speed
  • No pass-through vaping
- EPICMOD OVERALL RATING -

9.0
(not a bad disposable)
The EPICMOD proves to be a better choice between these two mods, in my opinion. Again, I may have received a bunk set of POPMOD samples that skewed the results a bit, but I also believe the EPICMOD is better constructed against leaking which is always a concern for any pocketable vape product. Ultimately, if flavor is your biggest priority, then find what flavor you think suits you the best between these two and go with it.

The EPICMOD can be found here, and the POPMOD can be found here. Both disposables are not currently in stock at HealthCabin, but they generally restock fairly quickly.

Again, I want to thank Sue over at HealthCabin for sending these out for review. I may not be a fan of disposables, but I don't mind testing them out to stay in the loop with what's currently available on the market.

Thanks for reading, and happy vape hoarding!

MVL - classic series by Monster Vape Labs Minister Of Mango

So bit of an interesting one this being contacted by
'the Monster Group' asking me if i would be interested in reviewing there new range of products released in the UK. If you are not aware of 'monster vape labs' as a whole you may recognise at least couple of side brands like jam monster. (as pictured)

I must admit i was a little apprehensive at however after this line was dropped "We are looking for honest reviews and your true thoughts on how your overall experience is." after seeing 2 keywords, i kind of felt like i "needed" to do this. Almost like i dare you... Ha! #dareaccepted

In a way i could integrate the disposable & salt review of the same flavour however it's kind of one of them where all products are basically the same just released for different types of devices. In a sense is kind of a good thing especially if someone going through stages of vaping disposable to start the journey, mtl pod for salts if they choose something more eco friendly & sustainable, aswel as 70/30 if they find Direct lung more fore them. Aswel as 'some' people find they dont like a lot of chopping & changing of juices so they have a set flavour. Rather then full integration I'll just put a picture of the other 2 products

So here we have the
MVL - classic series by Monster Vape Labs
Minister Of Mango:

70/30vg pg 75ml bottle 50ml shortfill (making enough for 2x 18mg nicshots IF required... But this a review im going without nic. Im a little unclear what the meaning or relevance of the double label pattern

So the device im using is the hellvape dead rabbit with a parallel ni80 coil reading at 0.33 ohm on the Vaporesso Target 100. Nothing too exciting build wise..

So Down to the flavour.
Truth be told I wouldn't put this down to a totally authentic ripe mango juice, I would put this down more as a mango cream but saying this its a very nice flavoursome yet smooth possibly, slightly cooled at higher wattages with airflow open,
more bursting at with flavour like a juice when airflow cut by half leaving nice refreshing sensation.

I hope you all enjoyed the review

-----------------

Not sure if anyone interested on 'Dark humour vapes' on facebook im running a UK giveaway
For an Vaporesso Xros Nano & 5 bottles of salts 10 & 20mg (wasn't sure what to buy so i got both), which i shall be closing on 4/9/22.

Vapefly Brunhilde 1o3 R(D)TA | Reviews by Z-Lee

Vapefly Brunhilde 1o3 RTA

0VypYGy.jpg

Hello and welcome back to another review. Today we have the Vapefly Brunhilde 1o3 R(D)TA sent to me by Joyi over at Sourcemore. Even though this is labeled an RTA, it's bottom fed via stainless steel cables which to me, would indicate it's an RDTA. The 1o3 is their third installment of the Brunhilde line of atomizers and incorporates some innovations that I haven't seen before which is always great to see.

If you've purchased a Vapefly product in the past, your expectations are probably pretty high like it is for me. The machining is top notch and I'm a huge fan of their style and aesthetics. With that in mind, there are a few considerations that I wouldn't necessarily consider cons, but definitely things to factor in if you're looking to purchase this atomizer. If you're a fan of versatility and/or you like to tinker, then you'll probably enjoy this RDTA even more. As always, I will conduct this review in a fair and honest manner.

Without further ado, let's get into it.

- AIRFLOW OPTIONS -

There are tons of airflow options with this atomizer. Instead of the posts being open in the center, an interchangeable airflow insert can be used to direct airflow onto the coils directly via the insert. You can also twist the airflow ring to close off the airflow brought into the insert if you want to cut down the airflow to a Restricted Direct Lung (RDL) type vape.

- COIL CONFIGURATIONS -

Qth6Isi.jpg

This deck is intended for single and dual coil builds via a rubber insert that comes with the kit to close off one side if you so choose. Later in the review, you'll see that this deck is large enough to accommodate a quad coil build, but the airflow becomes tricky. More on that below.

- REFILLING -

bnjCq1r.jpg

One of my biggest gripes with both the MTL and DL Brunhildes in the past was the refill hole. They've opened up the refill hole and changed it to a spring-loaded system that still comes with its flaws, but fits a Chubby Gorilla bottle nozzle very easily.

- WICK FEEDING -

KHUgCw3.jpg

Out of the box, 4 of the 6 stainless steel wires will be installed with two Allen screws plugging the middle hole on each side. This has become fairly standard for RDTAs with larger tanks like the Wotofo Profile 1.5, Vandy Vape Mato, ThunderHead Creations Artemis, and the Hellvape Helheim S to name a few. If you find the wicking to be insufficient, you can remove the two Allen screws and install two additional stainless steel wires to provide more juice to the wicks.

- CUSTOMER FEEDBACK -

Like the upgrade made to the enlarged spring-loaded refill hole as I mentioned before, Vapefly continues to listen to customer feedback and find ways to improve their already well-made atomizers.
