UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Just like it's big brother the Doric 20 rest in a plastic tray housed inside a box with the charge cord, user manual, and both coils in a separate box that is fitted underneath the tray that the Doric 20 is in.

I received the Gray colored one that is of a lighter shade of Grey than the Doric 60 that was sent earlier. The color is kind of metallic that has a shimmer to it and looks attractive to me.

20211016_075530.jpg

Picking the device up it's lack of weight was a nice touch though I thought it would be fairly light. The pod ships without a coil pre-installed and when I tried to pull the pod off the Doric it took considerable force to release it from the device, no magnets are used to hold the pod in place but rather 2 small tabs located 180° from each other that slip over a thin metal band at the connection point.

This pod is a side-fill that located toward the bottom with a fill plug that is very thin but easy to open by sliding your finger across it, the fill port isn't the largest and I wouldn't recommend using a glass dripper bottle tip to fill but 100ml tips work fine.

The mouthpiece is part of the pod so there is no putting on your own drip tips but it's a true MTL mouthpiece that narrow enough to get the job done while being comfortable as well.

20211017_090510.jpg

Voopoo has a new coil that's used in the Doric 20 pod called the ITO coil that is a mesh style on both the 1.0Ω and 1.2Ω.These coils are the push in type with 2 flat sides that have to be matched to the flat sides of the pod when installing the coil in the pod.

20211017_085653.jpg

These new ITO mesh coils although similar in diameter have different air supply openings from each other. The 1.2Ω mesh coil has 4 separate air holes to channel airflow while the 1.0Ω mesh coil uses 2 slots 180° apart from each other. Both coils produce pretty good flavor but the 1.0Ω produces more vapor with a slightly looser draw, don't get me wrong these are both MTL coils and work well but you can get a very very tight RDL vape with the 1.0Ω with all 3 air holes open on the airflow control if that's what you like.

20211017_083018.jpg

Just like the Doric 60 does the Doric 20 gives you a choice to either use the fire button or you can use the auto-draw feature that it has. I feel that the auto-draw is better on the Doric 20 than the 60, it really works very well and I've been forcing myself to not use the button because I prefer to Button fire and the auto-draw has fired every time.

Inside the connection spot of the pod/device are 2 gold colored spring loaded contact pins to connect to the coil and between them underneath the metal support rim lies the auto-draw air nozzle tube.

20211017_090812.jpg

Turning to the bottom of the device Voopoo put a rubber bumper on the protect the finish if of desk or table which it does do but it also can make it prone to tip over if the table or desk it's sitting on is bumped, even sitting it down it wobbles for a second.

I always keep my eyes on the juice level and always refill when juice in the tank reaches half, so laying it down is not a issue for me besides the airflow control lever and fire button stick out just enough to prevent it from rolling off any surface it's laid on. There are 2 ventilation holes in the center for battery safety.

20211017_095457.jpg

On the Doric 20 there is adjustable airflow via 3 airflow holes and each hole is a different size, that should make most MTL vapers happy providing differing selections. The first air hole that is closest to the airflow control lever is the smallest with the next being slightly larger and the next one being the largest of all three.

You can get the auto-draw to engage even fully closed so some air is still flowing but nobody would vape it that way, way to tight ( eyes popping out tight ), the type-c charge port location is underneath the airflow selector.

Fully open it's a loose MTL and with 2 holes it becomes a somewhat tight MTL vape, 1 holes makes it super tight, my preferred setting is 2 holes open. Auto-draw works very well on all airflow selections.

20211016_090527.jpg

20211016_090345.jpg

20211016_090450.jpg

The Doric 20 has a very tiny but bright LED light right above the fire button that illuminates when vaping or charging, this LED light has 2 functions, 1 function is to select your power level of which there are 3 and they are color coded, you battery strength corresponds to the colors as well. When charging the LED will breathe on and off until fully charged where it will remain solidly lit. Turned on/off is done as most devices by pressing the fire button quickly 5 times, once on 3 quick presses of the fire button will change your power level, each time you press the fire button 3 times the power level will change.

LOW - ( GREEN ) - 10W

MEDIUM - ( BLUE ) - 12W

HIGH - ( RED ) - 14W

20211017_102321.jpg

PROS

* Lightweight

* Attractive

* Good Flavor Producing Coils

* Comfortable Mouthpiece

* 3 Power Levels

* Auto-Draw

* No Leaking

* Adjustable Airflow

* 1500mAh Internal Battery

* Nice Button Feel

CONS

* Fill Hole Could Be Larger ( FOR GLASS DRIPPER TIPS )

* Fill Port Plug Very Thin

USING THE DORIC 20

I really like the metallic color that sort of shimmers in some lighting, this light Grey finish isn't slippery at all and hold very well in the hand.

In the week I've been using it I haven't had any leaking from either coil, I will say the 1.2Ω really drops in the vapor production from the 1.0 Ω coil but that's not a bad thing in fact it's been beneficial to me this week, I had to spend a number of hours in a place that was to far away from outside doors and there was no place to have a vape except a very small rest room that had staff coming and going , but I managed to hide my vaping in there because of the 1.2Ω coil without getting caught. :thumbs:

The 1.2 is a good coil with good flavor but not as good as the 1.0 that became my favorite of the two, but I thought it would before even trying them because I like a warm vape and the 1.0 coil satisfied me more. Throat hit was good for both as well.

I did not get a full day of battery life but more like 5 or 6 hours of heavy use, flavor was so good that I left my standard mod and RTA at home and just brought the Doric 20 and another pod system from another manufacturer to work for the week of testing, this is something I never do.

In closing I think Voopoo did a great job on the Doric 20 and the new ITO coils perform very well, the auto-draw actually works great on the device in any airflow setting selected.

Having the 3 airflow choices is a big plus there's actually more than 3 if you close the holes down in slivers. I think every MTL vaper should be able to find a setting that they like on the Doric 20. I will 100% recommend the Doric 20 for a half a day of heavy vaping and being that it charges fully in about 1 hour you wont be down for long.

I would like to thank Aimer and Voopoo for providing the Doric 20 for the purpose of this review, if your in the market for a AIO that has good flavor producing coils with adjustable airflow options and is a true MTL AIO get yourselves one, it's a winner.

THANK YOU

VOOPOO DRAG NANO 2 KIT review by hittman

Thanks for joining me again for another review. Today I’ll be discussing the newly released Voopoo Drag Nano 2 that was sent to me by Voopoo to provide a fair and honest review for you. I never had a chance to try the original Nano so will not really be able to do a fair comparison. I will instead just focus on my experience testing the Nano 2 and do my best to point out the features. The Nano 2 contains an 800mah battery with a maximum output of 20 watts. The included pods have a liquid capacity of 2ml and are compatible with Vinci Pod cartridges.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging of the Doric 20 is very similar to what it was on the Doric 60. You open one end of the box and the device slides out while sitting in a plastic tray and the accessory box is strategically placed underneath to conserve space and box size.

Included in the package is the Doric 20 that has a 1500mah battery which I think is a great capacity for this size of device. Already installed is the empty pod and in the accessory package are two coils which are 1.0 ohm rated at 10, 12, and 14 watts depending on the setting and a 1.2 ohm coil rated at 8, 10, and 12 watts depending on the setting. Also included in the accessory package is a USB-C charging cable and a user manual.

On the front of the Doric 20 is the Doric name etched near the bottom and above that is a single button and indicator light. The Doric 20 can be activated with the fire button or can be used in auto draw. The button operation is as follows:

- Press the fire button five times to turn the device on or off

- Press the fire button three times to change the output level

- The three output levels are: High=Green/ Medium=Blue/ Low=Red

- The device will auto lock after 15 minutes and can be woken by either pressing the fire button or simply taking a puff

The indicator light also acts as a battery level indicator when the device is activated normally. The three levels of the batter are as follows.

- Green= 66-100%

- Blue= 33-66%

- Red= <33%

upload_2021-10-17_9-39-24.png

On the back side of the unit is the airflow slide control with three airflow holes and a lever sticking out that makes the adjustment very easy but is stiff enough to not move too easily. Also found on the back is the USB-C charging port.

upload_2021-10-17_9-40-13.png

upload_2021-10-17_9-40-29.png

On the top of the Doric 20 is the pod receptacle that contains the two spring loaded gold plated contacts and not visible is the airflow sensor tube which sits a little higher than the base. Even though there is the metal ring inside that we normally see with magnetic pods, this one does not have magnets but the pods snap into place very securely and it takes a bit of effort to remove them.

upload_2021-10-17_9-41-4.png

On the bottom of the mod is a silicon cover with two battery vent holes. My guess is that the silicon is to prevent the device from sliding when sitting upright on a table or other flat surface but the diameter is so small on this device that it still could be easily knocked over. I have just been laying it down flat when not in use.

upload_2021-10-17_9-41-43.png

The 2ml pods are clear with very little tint to them which I greatly appreciate the ease with which the liquid level can be seen. The coils are simply push to seat. I do wish though that with a 1500mah battery capacity that the liquid capacity could have been a little more like perhaps 3ml.

upload_2021-10-17_9-42-25.png

The tip of the pod is fixed but it is comfortable enough to me. This pod is a side fill. The rubber plug has the Voopoo name on it and has an arrow on it pointing to the side to lift in order to fill. I was able to use a standard 10ml plastic bottle to easily fill the pod and once again since it is mostly clear you can easily see the liquid while filling so you don’t make a mess.

As I mentioned earlier, there are two coils included in the kit. There is a 1.0 ohm and a 1.2 ohm coil. It might have been nice had they made the o rings different colors on the coils to make it easier for the visually challenged to tell the difference in resistances.

upload_2021-10-17_9-43-43.png

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I actually enjoyed testing the Voopoo Doric 20 pod kit. I felt like both coils provided good flavor and a decent amount of vapor. I did find that when on the highest setting that the tip could get a little hot if chain vaping but was not an issue with normal use.

I very much like that the Doric 20 has an airflow control. I did end up running it completely open most of the time but it’s good to have the option to tighten up the airflow if you feel like it. I found myself running mostly in the medium range with both coils.

I like that Voopoo stuck with mostly clear pods on this one. I do wish it had a little more liquid capacity or that they had included a second pod in the kit. I had no leaking during my time using the Doric 20 which was over a week of use. I really hadn’t noticed any condensation either. This is a big improvement from some of the other Voopoo pods that I’ve used in the past.

The Doric offers both button fire and auto draw functions and I found it most natural to use it in auto draw. Even with the airflow slide completely open, the auto draw sensor worked very well which is another improvement on Voopoo’s part compared to past auto draw devices. I feel like they are constantly trying to improve on their products and it shows in their airflow sensor on this one and the Drag Nano 2.

So, would I recommend the Voopoo Doric 20 for you to purchase? Here’s the thing, if you want what seems to be a solid pocket carry device that could possibly last a day out and about depending on your vaping style then yes I’d recommend it but you’re going to need to carry a bottle of liquid or extra pods since I doubt that 2ml will last most people a day but the 1500mah battery very well might.

I’d like to thank Voopoo and Milo for sending the Doric 20 pod system for this review and also thanks go out to all the readers. Below is a link to the website if you’d like to look around.

Drag X low power, need help

I'm now on my 3rd Drag X in 6 months. First one the firing button stuck on, whatever, I got most of a year out of that so I bought another. Now I'm getting weak hits and a low power message stopping my hits. I'm only vaping 30W on a .3 coil, and my batteries are usually about 4.10 volts left when this starts to happen. I switched from 25r's to LG and it's still happening, bought another drag X, exact same thing. Any ideas? I really don't want to get a new vape considering how plentiful the coils are. I'm also using it for nic salts MTL so my choices are kind of limited.

Nicotine Question

Hi all! (New here...)

I have been vaping for a long time now (over a year and a half) and have run into a sudden bit of paranoia that Google cannot seem to solve. I know that there is a lot of controversy surrounding how toxic nicotine really is. I have always been decently responsible with my vaping, primarily used vuse products, but there is always a possibility for anyone who vapes to have the tiniest leak... not the persistent kind, but the usual stuff.. This is what bred my paranoia, wiki says that the lethal dose for children is 0.1 mg/kg ... that would mean a fraction of a drop could kill an infant. What bothers me even more is that nowhere can I find any info on whether or not e juice in small drop/smudge/ect amounts evaporate or dry over time, or become non-harmful. The only related info I can find on Google are people concerned with whether their stock is evaporating and steeping related things. I have recently started a job where I work with playground equipment and have become paranoid that somewhere in my house there is a drop of juice just chilling waiting for me to stick my hand in it, not notice, and somehow have it end up somewhere and hurt somebody. I know this probably sounds paranoid to most but, I still find it odd that nowhere on the internet is there any info (that I can find) that would calm my paranoia. I suddenly feel the urge to wipe down every surface of my house with rubbing alcohol...and have smoked my first pack or two of cigarettes in years...

Any knowledge to help with this would be greatly appreciated...

Three More Vape Manufacturers have filed petitions for Federal Court Reviews of MDOs.

"Therefore, says the FDA, “In light of the clear evidence that flavored e-cigarettes attract youth to an addictive product, FDA determined that the [Tobacco Control Act’s] public-health standard would be satisfied only by robust and reliable evidence of countervailing benefits."

"But the FDA offers no evidence that it is the flavors that attract youth to vaping. The agency merely asserts that it is so, based on prevalence of use. They offer no proof that teenage vaping would cease without the existence of non-tobacco flavored products. Nor does the FDA offer “product-specific evidence” that Triton’s e-liquids currently are used by youth.

The agency merely states that 85 percent of youth begin vaping with flavored products, as though that is justification for eliminating products that millions of adults prefer. The FDA’s logic seems to be that since some teenagers use these products, they obviously cannot be marketed responsibly to adults."

"
Not counting Turning Point Brands, at least eight petitions for review have been filed so far in federal court........

New vapcell doesn’t fit in my mod

So I’ve got this old 26650 mod and I bought a new battery for it but it won’t fit. It’s ever so slightly too large. this thing:

anyway, I’m hosed. Pulled off various packaging to make it fit and it still won’t so I own it now even though it’s useless. What battery SHOULD I be buying? It’s clearly not this one.

Lost Vape Thelema Quest 200W Box Mod - Review

Hi ECF members, In this review I take a look at the Thelema Quest 200W Box Mod from Lost Vape. The Lost Vape Thelema Quest 200W Box Mod was supplied for the purpose of this review by Sourcemore.

Lost Vape Thelema Quest 200W Mod Box Mod

YgwfTlQ.png

Introduction

Lost Vape are best known for regularly manufacturing DNA chipset devices for the masses making it not necessary to donate an organ to be able to afford one. A couple of years ago many feared Lost Vape had completely moved away from premium chipset devices as they concentrated on both the pod market and their own Quest chipset although we did get the introduction of the DNA Go but a void was left in the market place which was swiftly spotted and filled by Dovpo!

Move on 2 years and Lost Vape have been back on form for the last 12 months going back to manufacturing both DNA chipset devices along with Quest budget versions which keep the same high end build quality but using their proprietary Chipset!

The Thelema Quest 200W Box Mod is the proprietary version of the Thelema DNA250C device and boasts the same design and build quality. We have the batteries fitting via a pull free spine and under the bonnet the full array of features to please most vapers! With the Quest version we see the introduction of a range of clear spines for those that like the transparent look as well as Carbon Fiber and Calf Leather options, Let's crack on and take a closer look!

The device has that classic C-frame form factor and see's the much loved pull free spine which many prefer to a bottom hinged door and also makes it possible for just the spines to be swapped to give the device a different look! If you like lighter devices you should consider the Clear range with the PC spine as the others have a Zinc Alloy spine and are on the heavy side once batteries are installed!

The build quality for the price range is beyond impressive and although I haven't handled the DNA 250C version it looks absolutely identical in regard design and build quality apart from different design spines and more branding visible on the premium version although for some that will be +1 to the Quest!

The curved spine helps make the device ergonomically sound and a natural thumb firer, for me though the weight makes it more a desktop rather than carry about device but then I much prefer single battery devices.

On the face we have a square fire button which protrudes and curves outwards, further down we have three rectangular protruding operational buttons lined up vertically which also curve outwards! The buttons really are a big pro, stiff and give a very definite heavy click which is so satisfying, they just feel as solid and high standard as the rest of the device when quite often a well made device can be let down with cheap buttons that have movement and feel a bit cr*p! Between the fire and operational buttons we have the screen and then right at the bottom the Type C USB connector!

On one side of the chassis towards the front we have "LOST VAPE" printed in White and on the opposite side in the same position "THELEMA", also in White. Moving to the base we have some low key branding and safety stamps and then moving up top towards the rear a 510 plate with Gold plated, spring loaded 510!

Fitting The Batteries

Apart from orientation is once again Black on Black rather than Bright White it's full marks and even with the orientation we have plenty of light so the symbols can quite easily be seen. We have a battery ribbon for easy removal and the batteries can be installed with absolutely no drama! The spine just pulls free to get access to the batteries and is secured via leading elongated tabs either side and very strong magnets top and bottom! Once secured we get absolutely no battery rattle of spine movement whatsoever, very impressed!

The Display

I really like this display, it's sharp, uses colour well and gives plenty of information but is very well laid out and not cluttered!

At the top we have two battery status bars, one for each battery and the charge is also given as a percentage, below we have the mode followed by the wattage, temperature or voltage depending which mode you are using.

Below to the left we have the resistance and then to the right a person icon and 1, 2 or 3 which just signifies the current settings are in one of the memory slots. Further down to the left we have the pre-heat which will be soft, Normal or Hard and to the right the four digit puff counter, during firing this will display vape duration! At the bottom we have settings which when selected enters the extra settings menu!

Operating The Device!

The device is the usual 5 clicks of the fire button in quick succession to both boot up and power down and once booted the up and down buttons pressed together locks the three operation buttons but the device will still fire.

qoz41M1.jpg

The device is navigated by using the up and down buttons to move around the working screen and when the item you want is highlighted press the middle select button to select and then the navigational buttons to alter, select or fire confirms the change. Using this method of navigation allows to change between modes, alter wattage, temperature, voltage or curve segments depending which mode is active, you can change user profile (memory slot), alter the pre-heat or boost (Soft, Normal or Hard), reset the puff counter and select settings to go into the settings menu. When adjusting the wattage with single presses it alters in 0.1 increments from 5 to 20w and then 0.5w increments from 20 to 100w before switching to 1w increments right up to 200w, i like this a lot. When a button is held down for quicker adjustment it switches to 1w increments whatever the wattage is but unfortunately scrolls very slowly, it does round robin!

9mObnL7.jpg

When choosing between the modes the options are Power, SS904, SS316, TI, NI, Curves, Voltage or Bypass!

jvDDcME.jpg

lfFTR4i.jpg

When selecting settings we enter the settings list which consists of Atomizer, Screen, Colour, User, Reset and About. When selecting screen it is actually the screen brightness and the word screen in the list is replaced with a progress bar which can be altered up and down with the navigational buttons to increase or decrease. When choosing Colour the word Colour (Color) is replaced by 6 little colour squares you can choose from which will determine the colour of certain items on the display, the options are Cyan, Yellow, White, Red, Green or Purple!

iGrYVcE.jpg

Atomiser brings up a screen which allows the wattage and boost to be set rather than altering on the main working screen and when in TC this is where you can alter and/or lock in resistance and set wattage.

FUVpiZN.jpg

User is where you will find the parameters of the 3 User profiles which are basically memory slots, it comes pre-installed with them all the same in Power mode at 50W with Soft boost but you can change these and they can be set for any mode! That leaves Reset and About, Reset is factory reset and about brings up details about the chip!

Low Voltage Protection

Charging

As usual I recommend charging your batteries externally but if you do need to charge in the device we have a Type C connection and 2A Fast Charging. While charging just a central single charging progress icon is displayed which is a little basic, really would of preferred an icon for each battery, the charge to also be shown as a percentage and estimated charge time left! You can vape while charging but each time charging is paused and restarts after 30 seconds!

My Thoughts!

The biggest pro for the Thelema Quest 200W device is it's value for money which is the most important thing to most, Ok we have no premium DNA chipset but the Quest chip certainly for power users is more than adequate and the overall build quality is impressive! The only negatives are the slow scrolling but then once your wattage is set not an issue, the Black on Black orientation although visibility is quite good and the start of the 510 thread seems to sit a little deep so the threading of the atomiser didn't always catch immediately but apart from that this is a damn fine device!

With TC, Curves, voltage, Bypass, voltage and Power modes the Thelema Quest covers all the bases although if you are a TC user I would do further research as I only tested the other modes!

I love that the select button has been maintained making navigating the device a breeze and how you just highlight selectable options on the main working screen for modes, memory slots, puff reset, pre-heats and selecting the settings menu.

The spine fits 100% securely and installing and removing batteries reveals no issues, The buttons are really superb with a stiffness which materialises into satisfying definite clicks with each press. The overall performance during testing was faultless with no delay and ramp up as good as with any modern regulated device! Having extra settings for brightness, display colour customisation etc all adds to the appeal of the device! Although scrolling the wattage with a button pressed down is very slow I do love how the lower the wattage is the more precision can be used in regard smaller increment adjustments with single presses!

The separate spines available for the Thelema DNA 250C device are also compatible allowing customisation and up to 26mm atomisers will fit up top which is about the limit for a classic C-frame device! Showing a status bar for each battery and the charge as a percentage is another pro as is the Type C connection and 2A Fast charging although I still recommend charging externally. The device does feel a little heavy although the Clear spine versions will be lighter, my final con is poor charging feedback which for such a good device is very basic!

COMPONENTS

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Packaging was done very well with the standard box in a sleeve, opening the box the kit is presented with the mod that is inside a white bag for protection , there's also a protective display screen sticker on it, pod tank and kit component parts that's boxed in there own spots on a pre-cut foam insert with your paper information of the Thelema Quest 200 user manual, UB Pro Pod Tank user manual and warranty registration card sitting all on top of the components. ( NICE PRESENTATION )!

Being that my favorite color is Blue receiving the Blue/Carbon Fiber version was a treat for me especially because this shade of Blue is so deep with color intensity. I can tell you after picking the mod up without installing the batteries yet that this is no lightweight, there's some real weight to it being a zinc alloy and the build quality feels solid and very well made.

The UB Pro Pod Tank that is included is solid with a side fill feature that makes filling simple and easy but being on the side of the Pod Tank looks like a sore thumb on it, the trade off of not having to remove and fill from the bottom is worth it to me though. I've reviewed the UB Pro Pod Tank before and it's a good performer as well as the coils provided for it.

20210930_134805.jpg

Although the UB Pro Pod Tank performs very well there are a few things that could be improved with it like having a standard 810 drip tip instead of the one with O-rings on it, thankfully it's shape is comfortable to use but many people like to use their own.

The fill plug has open stamped on it with a tiny tab at the end with a arrow pointing to the lift side that's easy to grasp and lift up and can be rotated out of the way when filling, the fill port is large enough that any sized bottle tip will fit including glass dripper tips, I have not had the fill port plug open on me unintentionally in the time of testing when carried in a pocket, also if your a big air lover the UB Pro Pod Tank will give you more than enough airflow with it 3 airflow slots that spin 360° without hard stops at either end, closing the airflow down quiets the sound of the tank a bit but it is a noisy tank with a little bit of turbulence.

This is a screw on pod to the 510 base, to unscrew it from the base grasp the black portion above the airflow selector and turn counterclockwise.

20211010_154332.jpg

Coils are a plug in type with no flat spots that need lining up, always prime the coil with a few drops of liquid prior to inserting it into the Pod Tank and after filling let the Pod Tank sit for 5-10 minutes before vaping so the coil can get fully saturated with juice.

20211010_150018 (1).jpg

Now that the UB Pro Pod Tank has been covered it's time to get to the real star of this review the Thelema Quest 200w device with the Quest 2.0 chipset that's used in the Ursa Quest device that I've reviewed in the past. The 2.0 chipset performs very well and has so many features on it while being super easy and simple to navigate it's menu system.

The Thelema Quest 200 is a exact duplicate of the much more expensive DNA version appearance wise being a C-Frame operating with dual 18650 batteries. Pulling the frame off that is held in place using 2 magnets and a few connecting tabs is done easily by holding the top and bottom of the device then pulling the frame outward.

The carbon fiber inlay panel is attached to the frame cover using 8 screws, 4 on each side of the frame cover, once the frame cover is pulled off you have 2 battery slots on the device that are marked for polarity ( I wish the symbols were done in white ).

The 1st battery slot that's closest to the display screen has the minus - symbol at the top while the 2nd battery slot has the positive + symbol at the top. The contact pins for both batteries are spring loaded and have to be pushed upward with the correct end of each battery.

There's also a battery release ribbon that the batteries should be placed on top of for quick removal, this device's batteries run in series by the way and provide very good battery management.

20211010_082917.jpg

The backside of the device has 5 small tabs in total located on top and bottom with 1 in the center end that also help the magnets lock in the battery cover to the devices frame. The carbon fiber is very soft and has some cushion give to it making it very comfortable in your hand and really has killer looks to it. One thing that I want to mention is if you own the Thelema DNA version the battery cover will work on the 200 and vise versa, early sample versions had their magnets reversed and the covers could not interchange but on the final retail version that issue was corrected.

20211010_083335.jpg

On one side of the device is the LOST VAPE name while the other side has THELEMA QUEST printed on it, both sides have a small design at the top and bottom that in a way kind of resemble the grills of speakers to me giving the device a attractive balanced look. As you can see the 510 connection is not centered but offset and I think that I prefer it rather than being centered.

20211010_084056.jpg

20211010_083813.jpg

A 26mm atomizer fits perfectly without any overhang, There is a nice amount of travel on the 510 pin with all atomizers I tried on the device, all sat flush having no gap to them. The 510 top plate is screwed in place using 3 screws so no worry's of it coming off.

All of the corners on the Thelema 200 have been rounded off at their very edges but leaving nice angular corners, even the little step down above the fire button leave a nice resting place for your thumb to sit.

20211010_083539.jpg

QUEST 2.0 CHIPSET FEATURES

If any of you own or have used the Ursa Quest it has the same chipset as the Thelma Quest 200 does, and those that have used it know just how well it performs.

It is one of my favorite chipsets because of the many features it has in it and a menu system that's so easy to use and navigate through.

Wattage and voltage accuracy is almost perfect that only a meter and oscilloscope would show discrepancy's that a person really can't notice, A DNA device would be perfect with a much larger price tag for it plus the Thelema Quest 200 has a Type-C charge port where the DNA uses a Micro USB

You are given the choice of 6 different color accents for the display screen to use, Blue, Yellow, White, Red, Green and Purple.

There are 3 user settings that can be set up and recalled, this really helps if you use different atomizers with different coils or builds in them including temperature control builds.

You also have 5 power modes on the Quest 2.0 chipset that can be employed- Wattage, Voltage, VPC - (VARIABLE POWER CURVE), Bypass, Temp Control - Ni, Ti, SS316, SS 904

There's also 3 power boost presets to choose from - (SOFT ) - ( NORMAL ) - ( HARD )

Plus a brightness control ( SCREEN ) that is very bight and sharp when it's maxed out to it's fullest

Whenever a new atomizer is connected the device will ask new or old cold before it will fire

There's also a atomizer setting that comes in handy for locking the wattage in temp control

Having a dedicated menu or mode button really makes using and navigating the menu a breeze.

USING THE MENU

The device turns on/off as most devices do by quickly pressing the fire button 5 times, once the device is on pressing the up and down buttons will move you to different spots on the display screen to which you can make adjustments to by pressing the menu/mode button that's located in the center between the up and down adjustment buttons.

Pressing the menu/mode button will highlight the selected item your on and then you can make adjustments to that selection using the up and down buttons, when finished press the menu/mode button again to exit and return to your working mode of operation.

At the bottom of the display screen is settings where you have more selections to further customize to your liking.

USING THE THELEMA QUEST 200 KIT

I'm not going to kid you folks but it was love at first sight when I opened the package but looks alone don't make a great device. I was bound and determined to put the kit through it's regular testing of devices and pods to evaluate both and give a honest review as I always do no matter how much I liked the appearance.

20211010_155812.jpg

As I stated earlier I have reviewed both the UB Pod Tank and another device that used the Quest 2.0 chipset so I already knew what was in store for me, none the less I put it through it's trials and it performed flawlessly without a hiccup to speak of.

That's not to say that there are improvements that can be made to both the UB Pod Tank and Thelema Quest 200 mod.

As far as UB Pro Pod Tank goes these are more wish lists than complaints, I'm pretty used to having hard stops on pods or tanks and wish the UB Pro had them, it functions just fine without but like I said WISH LIST. I'm alright with the side fill even though it takes away from the Pod Tank in the looks department, better to have side fill than bottom fill any day.

This is a very noisy tank and can at times feel a little turbulent mainly because of the triple airflow slots that when wide open you can actually breath through it's so open, but it can be dialed back and become quieter without a whistle or goofy sound for a good RDL vape.

Both coils that are provided worked well and the 0.3Ω P3 coil is SS giving you the option to use temperature control or wattage in using it. I tended to prefer the 0.15 Ω coil that read 0.17 on the mod, I really didn't have to drive a lot of wattage into these coils to get very nice performance from them.

Coming to the mod that I have been really enjoying for almost 2 weeks of testing, it has not skipped a beat and has performed as I had hoped it would even though the 0.15 provided coil that I prefer reads 0.17 on the device.

I can't mention it enough on how well the chip performs, apart from the slow scrolling of the device that thankfully has the Round Robin feature for those that vape close to or at the max wattage of 200w, yes hard to believe but some people can and do vape that high. The only other issue that I have with the Thelema Quest 200 is the font being so small that even with glasses that I use for reading it's hard to make out the battery percentages.

I recommend the kit 100% and consider it a big time winner because of all it's attributes that I mentioned earlier, if you don't have to have a display screen that you can customize to your hearts content or need the replay function of the Thelema DNA 250C jump on this kit.

I would like to thank Sue and Healthcabin for providing the Thelma Quest 200 Kit to me for the purpose of this review and I urge you folks to pick up this kit if your looking for a kit with killer looks that performs just as impressive as it looks and is full of features that rival the DNA version.

THANK YOU
