Hello again. I’m here today to discuss the Vapefly Brunhilde SBS 100W Kit that was sent to me by Sourcemore for the purpose of providing a fair and honest review. At the end I’ll have a discount code for you if you’d like to purchase one for yourself.

The Brunhilde SBS was a cooperative project between Vapefly and the Vapefly Deutschland Offiziell group. The Brunhilde SBS kit includes the mod which is made using a 5 axis CNC process from aerospace aluminum and the Kriemhild II W version 4ml tank.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

I really liked the looks of the packaging on the Brunhilde SBS kit. It kind of reminded me of an old scroll or something ancient. I haven’t had a lot of exposure to Vapefly products in the past but do have the Galaxies MTL RTA and the Optima pod mod.



The Brunhilde SBS mod is made from one solid piece of aluminum and has real feel of quality in my opinion. If you look closely at the first picture below you can see it comes packaged with a clear plastic film protecting the finish for shipping. I like how the helmet design is engraved into the end and the fire button sits in the middle of it with the USB-C charging port below.

If you’re facing the fire button side then on the left is a wing engraved in the side along with the Brunhilde name. On the opposite side is another wing along with the + and – buttons. Of course like most SBS mods that I’ve seen, the display screen that utilizes the 3S chip is located on the bottom of the mod.









The Brunhilde can use 18650, 20700, or 21700 batteries. The battery cap threads were very smooth on my sample. The inside of the battery tube is clearly marked with a red + sign on the bottom and the top cap has a – sign on it as well so there is no confusion as to how the battery is to be inserted. The top of the battery cap also has a design etched in it. I’m not exactly sure what the design is.

The atomizer top plate is held in place by four torx screws and has a gold plated spring loaded 510 center pin. The Kriemhild 2 tank that is included in the kit is 24mm at the base and 25mm at the body but a 26mm tank should fit on the Brunhilde.





The Brunhilde has an output range of 5-100 watts while using the 3S chip which also provides several safety protections. The Brunhilde has three output modes which are VW, Bypass, and TC. The display which is located on the bottom of the mod is really rather old school in appearance but it is bright enough and easy to read. Also located on the bottom are six battery vent holes. On the left is the battery indicator with the coil resistance and output voltage under load beside it to the right. On the left is the output wattage that is set. There isn’t a menu on the Brunhilde SBS but there are a few functions that can be performed using the available buttons.

- Press the fire button five times to turn the mod on or off

- Press the fire button three times to switch between VW, Bypass, and TC

- Press the + and – buttons to lock the adjustment buttons

- Press the fire and + buttons to flip the screen

- Pres the fire and – buttons to go into stealth mode



KRIEMHILD II W VERSION TANK







I have never seen or used the original Kriemhild 2 tank but from what I can tell the only difference seems to be that the metal portion of the tank comes down further on the top so that the glass section is either smaller or just less visible.



The tank is 24mm at the base and 25mm at the body. It uses an 810 tapered drip tip that is installed which I personally like but also comes with a second straight tip. The o ring that holds the tip in place is inside the top cap rather than on the tip. The top cap has a bayonet style connection and underneath both fill ports have a silicon cover over them. I personally don’t like this since you can only see a portion of the tank when filling since the glass section is so small. I would rather have the fill holes open so I can see where the fluid level is while filling.





There are three airflow slots on this tank and it allows plenty of airflow. I ended up running both coils with the airflow maybe ¼ open. There are two different coils included in the kit. One is the Duplex Mesh coil that is .2 ohm and the other is the FreeCore Mesh coil that is .3 ohm. Both are KA1. The .2 ohm coil is rated for 45-60 watts and the .3 coil is rated for 40-55 watts. There is also an RBA coil available for purchase separately.



The way I understand the Duplex coil is that it has a center common leg so there are three connection points rather than two which splits the resistance of the coil and allows it to come up to temperature quicker.





The bottom cap unscrews just like any other tank and the coils are simply pushed in and the base is threaded on. I did notice a fair amount of condensation in the base when I went to change coils. However, the tank is easily disassembled for cleaning whenever needed and I always wash a new tank before using it.



FINAL THOUGHTS:

I really think that the Vapefly Brunhilde SBS kit is a great and well-designed kit. The mod not only has a high end appearance but the feel in the hand exudes quality with both the mod and the tank.

I did end up running both coils below the recommended settings but had no issues with leaking. I know the Duplex coil is supposed to have better flavor but I actually preferred the .3 ohm coil better. I ended up running it at about 38 watts and got very good flavor production.

I did not receive the RBA for the review but have ordered a couple of them because I would like to continue using the tank but don’t want to be stuck buying yet another different coil.

All of the threads on the mod and tank were very smooth which added to the sense of quality. Even the 18650 battery adapter was nicer than what is included with most mods that can utilize the same three sizes of batteries.

I have only just reviewed the Veego 80 which was a SBS Pod Mod with 510 thread adaptor and with the Pagee we see a return to the "Credit Card" style pod device which we saw about 18months ago!

Like the Veego 80 the Pagee ticks a lot of boxes and also brings us what's claimed to be the first 360 degree bottom adjustable airflow! It offers both button activation and Auto Draw, has adjustable wattage and is said to be for both MTL and RDL styles, Let's crack on!

Aesthetics and Ergonomics

The Pagee comes in cardboard box packaging with outer cardboard sleeve, on the front we have a picture of the device in the chosen colour and contents etc on the reverse. I received the Black version which has a Gunmetal Zinc Alloy chassis and Black Carbon Fiber effect panels both sides, the options are Black, Violet Rainbow, Dark Green or Space Grey, the colour refers to the Carbon Fiber effect side panels!

At only 70g the device is lightweight and even for what's become known as "Credit Card" style devices this must be the smallest I have used yet. We have a tinted flat pod with Delrin 510 drip tip, the drip tip is quite wide but has tapered sides to give it a flattened look! Below the pod on the main chassis on one side we have "nevoks" and on the opposite side "PAGEE", within the Carbon Fiber effect panel on one side we have a small screen!

Down the spine of the device we have towards the top a protruding rectangular fire button which has the Nevoks logo embossed into the metal button, below in a vertical position is the Type C USB port. Above the fire button we have an opening and then looking at the top rear we find the opening at the top of the spine comes out here forming a rail for the included lanyard to be attached, staying up top we also have a protruding rectangular wattage adjustment button.

Moving to the base we have branding, venting holes and to the leading edge a plastic adjustable dial for airflow control. The device just gets swallowed up in the hand so is ideal for when out and about!

What You Receive?

As well as the device and empty pod you also get 2 different coil heads which are the SPL-10 mesh coil 0.6ohm and the SPL-10 mesh coil 1.0ohm. You also receive paperwork, a short Type C USB cable and although it's not something I would use a rather nice lanyard!

The Pod

The Pod is a flattish almost square shape and although tinted I had no issues seeing the juice level inside. Up top we have a wide drip tip with tapered sides which can turn to have in the most comfortable position depending on how you hold the device, it is also a standard 510 fitting so like me you could also fit an alternative if you prefer!

On the side where the pod slides into the bay so will be hidden from view we have a silicone bung which can be pulled out (while still remaining attached to the pod) to reveal a good sized fill port, as side fill ports go I had no issues being able to fill fast, mess free while completely filling the capacity!

Moving to the base of the pod we have the cylindrical opening for the coil head to be fitted, to one side we have a large magnet and to the other quite a large opening which will feed air to the coil head, this opening lines up with the airflow opening in the pod bay which gets fed by the bottom adjustable airflow control!

The Coils and Fitting Them

The Pagee Pod deploys the usual plug and play method we see with most of the popular pod mod pods so the coil head just gets press fitted into the pod where it will be sealed via an O-ring and will also seal to the chimney via the top set of dual O-rings.





Two coil heads are included which are the SPL-10 mesh 0.6ohm coil head rated between 18w to 25w and the SPL-10 1.0ohm mesh coil head rated between 10w to 13w. The coil heads are the same that came with the Feelin, it's good to see this cross compatibility!

Fitting The Pod

The pod fits via the vertical rail on the device and also strong magnets, we have no play whatsoever! Looking inside the bay we can see the Gold plated positive and negative contacts and large opening which leads right down to the airflow control. We also have two rectangular magnets and the opening to the membrane switch for draw activation!

The Airflow

This interested me most before using the device and although the airflow control works quite well when compared to similar sized devices which usually have fixed airflow I was quite disappointed and feel the all 360 degree marketing is a con!





On the bottom of the device on the same side as the pod bay we have a small airflow slot which I guess is about 4mm and then also a slot on the dial the same size. Obviously when the two slots are lined up we have full airflow but then it can be closed down.

I actually like the idea of an adjustable bottom slot which feeds the slot above in the bay which in turn feeds the coil head but it's just a 4mm slot so yes you can pointlessly turn the dial 360 degrees but it's not 360 degree airflow adjustment as claimed they just couldn't be arsed to fit stoppers!

The Display

We have a much loved old school style of display but unfortunately it's identical to the display on the Veego 80 with the layout just being a bit of a mess. We have both vape duration and 4 digit puff counter rather than the puff count showing duration while vaping and when all 4 digits of the puff counter are in use their is no gap between the two pieces of information. Also we have no gap between the voltage and resistance and when the mode is Manual "M" is displayed between the wattage and voltage readings where there was a space and the whole display just becomes a solid block of numbers and letters!





To the left of the display we have the wattage and to the right of that at the bottom we have "W", if in manual mode we will also have an "M" above the "W"!

To the right of the wattage at the top we have the voltage followed by the resistance. Below to the left we have vape duration and to the right a four figure puff counter which only reveals any field that is in use so 0029P would just be displayed as 29P, finally to the right of the display we have a vertically positioned battery status bar!

Operating The Device

The Pagee has a very basic chip and old school display which is all many people require. The device is the usual 5 clicks of the fire button to turn on and five clicks to turn off and once on fire and the wattage adjustment button pressed together locks the whole device including the fire button, although it still allows you to vape using Auto Draw! In fact if you lock the device while in manual mode it will automatically change back to standard mode when locking to allow the Auto Draw feature to be used! The only other combination button press feature is done with the device turned off which is once again the fire and the wattage adjustment button pressed together which resets the puff count!





The Pagee works as an adjustable wattage device but has two modes which are standard which allows the device to be used via either the fire button or Auto Draw or Manual which only allows the device to be used with the fire button, to change between the two modes is 3 quick clicks of the fire button.





The wattage adjusts in 1w increments from 5w in theory up to the max 30w but the device operates in smart mode by default and it can't be overridden! So with the 1.0ohm coil it adjusts up to 15w and with the 0.6ohm coil up to 25w, also the adjustment can only be increased and not decreased so if you overshoot the wattage intended you have to use the round robin feature to get back to the wattage required, a bit annoying but it scrolls quickly when the button is held down and being such a low wattage device not a deal breaker!

Charging

Very impressed with how quickly the Pagee charges. It has a Type C USB connection and 2A max charge rate! I timed the charging progress on 3 occasions and each time it took (+/- 1) 50 minutes. While charging a charging progress bar is displayed along with the charge as a percentage, it also supports pass-through vaping!

My Thoughts!

The Pagee gives a fantastic looser MTL and RDL vape, nice and smooth and the flavour from both coils is outstanding which didn't surprise me as I really rated the coils when I used them with the Feelin device! Also good to see adjustable airflow although don't expect anything ground-breaking as it's just a 4mm adjustable slot adjusted by a dial which is quite fiddly and the whole amazing 360 degree airflow marketing c**p is just that!

I actually thought at first this gave a nice tight draw until I realised I was resting the device on my little finger while taking a vape which was actually blocking the airflow! With airflow not blocked it gives either a medium or loose MTL with the 1.0ohm coil and various RDL to semi restricted draws with the 0.6ohm coil, just far too much air leakage to get tighter draws!

I like that you can fit your own 510 and despite the tinted pod visibility of the juice level is very good, not keen that the pod needs removing to be filled but it was a quick and a mess free experience when refilling! I like that the coil heads are the same that are used with the Feelin and as the full 30w isn't utilised with the included coils due to the smart wattage feature then I can only guess other coils will become available!

The wattage only adjusting one way is a con but not a massive issue on this device and I love that it allows either Fire or Auto Draw and it also has a mode to turn the Auto Draw off, I also like that when the device is locked the Auto Draw will still work!

The performance I found to be very good and as tends to be the case these days the Auto Draw was very responsive! The device is tiny which I like a lot but it does leave me a bit sceptical whether at 950mAh they are slightly overstating the capacity although compared the the Caliburn A2 I reviewed recently this gives much better battery life and with all it's features and display I found to be a better device! Like with the Veego 80 the Pagee has no Voltage boost but is not much of an issue using with the supplied coils, i noticed no drop off in power with the 1.0ohm coil and it was barely noticeable with the 0.6ohm!

We also have a Type C connection and 2A charge rate allowing the device to be charged in just 50mins while supporting pass-through and giving good charging feedback!

It appears that manufacturers have been very busy designing and building new products as the review samples continue to roll in. Today I’m going to attempt to discuss the new Voopoo Doric 60 pod system. I read somewhere that the Doric 60 takes its inspiration from the pillars of the Roman pantheon. What I know for sure is that the Doric 60 has a 2500mah internal battery and has three output levels but no screen and only a single button to operate the unit. Included in the kit is the very familiar and well known PNP pod and coils that have been used on several Voopoo devices. It is nice when manufacturers make items compatible across several devices so the end user doesn’t have to start from scratch buying a new line of coils. Since the Doric 60 uses the PNP pod tank then the PNP MTL tank will work and the TPP and TPP X pod tanks should be compatible also.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging of the Doric 60 is fairly minimalistic. The box opens from one end and the Doric 60 battery and PNP pod sit in a plastic tray that slides out. Underneath the tray is a box containing the USB-C charging cord and two PNP coils along with the user manual and a desiccant packet.

The two coils included in this kit are the VM-5 .2 ohm coil rated 40-60 watts and theVM-1 .3 ohm coil rated at 32-40 watts. I was thinking that the PNP pod tank is the first pod tank that I remember coming on the market even though many manufacturers have adopted a similar design. I may be wrong but was thinking that Voopoo was the first to come out with the pod tank design.

It seems like more and more companies are getting on the tube style mod wagon lately. The Doric 60 is Voopoo’s entry into that category. I think they are good for entry level users with the simplicity of operation due to only one button and no display.

The top of the battery portion contains a metal ring that the pod rests on and two gold plated spring loaded contacts to transfer power to the coil. Rather than have the airflow sensor in the middle like some other auto draw devices, this one has the airflow sensor offset so that it is less likely to get liquid inside if there is condensation or leaking. This may also be why the auto draw function only seems to work well in MTL with the airflow restricted and doesn’t seem to work well with DTL and open air. I’m honestly not surprised since I have had this same experience with other Voopoo products I’ve tested and feel like it is an issue that needs to be corrected. The auto draw on this one works a little bit better than some of their others that I’ve tried but if the airflow is open very much then you have to draw really hard to activate it.

Below the pod opening is the dual slotted airflow control. It turns 360 degrees and does not have a stop. There is also a single hole available on each side for those that choose to use the Doric in MTL mode.

Below the airflow ring, there are three lights to indicate the “gear” that the output is in according to the color of the lights. The fire button is directly under the lights and protrudes a little which is nice since you can pick up the Doric and feel the button placement instead of having to look for it. There are three output modes which are High(White), Medium(Green), and Low(Blue). Near the bottom of the button side is the name DORIC etched into the surface. On the opposite side near the top is the USB-C charging port and the Voopoo name etched near the bottom. On the bottom surface of the battery is a rubberized ring to help it keep from slipping when sitting upright and a single vent hole.

The number of lights lit while the output is activated indicates the battery level as follows.

- Three lights 66-100%

- Two lights 30-65%

- One light <30%

Since there isn’t a display, the Doric 60 uses the lights above the button for notifications. The following are the indicator light instructions.

- Charging: The corresponding light flashes while actively charging and all three lights stay lit when completely charged

- In use: - Under normal working condition the corresponding indicator light will become gradually brighter

§ Low battery: The red indicator will flash 10 times

§ Short circuit: The light is steady red

§ Check atomizer: The indicator light flashes 8 times

§ Temp high: The indicator light flashes red 15 times

The pod tank that is included in the kit is the PNP tank that we have seen several times on other devices. The drip tip is not replaceable and the pod is bottom fill with a rubber plug and a decent sized fill hole. In the past I have gotten a decent amount of condensation and even a little leakage with some coils while using the PNP tank. I don’t know if something has changed but I’ve gotten very minor condensation and no leaking during my time testing the Doric 60 with the PNP tank.

I won’t go into great detail on the PNP tank since I think most people have either used one or seen one. I’ll just say that I’ve always gotten really good flavor using the PNP coils and prefer the .15, .2, and sometimes the .3 ohm coils.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

The Voopoo Doric 60 is a very simplistic designed tube mod with just enough functions and features in my opinion to make a good pocket carry on the go device.

Being compatible not only with the PNP tank and series of coils but also being able to use the MTL pod makes it useable for an entire array of vapers. That along with the quick change airflow control going from DTL to MTL makes the user experience easier. Also changing the output range according to coil resistance using the Gene chip is a nice feature as well as being able to choose between one of three output levels.

I do like that the Doric 60 offers both auto draw and button activation but once again feel like the auto draw function could work better when the airflow control is more open for RDL and DTL. I’m not really a big fan of auto draw anyway so the operation didn’t have much effect on me since I prefer using the fire button. That being said, if it’s going to be advertised as a feature then it should work well. One other thing I found to be odd was when button firing it seems to have about a 5 second cut off but not when using auto draw.

Overall I’ve enjoyed testing the Voopoo Doric 60 that was sent to me for this review. So would I recommend it? If you are looking for a medium sized pocket carry tube mod that delivers pretty good flavor and is simple and easy to use then yes.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


Opening the box the Brunhilde in all it's glory lays in a cutout by itself with the 2 mod protectors, charge cord and paper material consisting of the user manual, battery warning card and warranty card are inside a box underneath the Brunhilde SBS device.

A plastic wrap is on the body to prevent scratches to the paint leaving it pristine on arrival, removing the sticker it's beauty can be admired further. Under the wing on one side is the Brunhilde name that is also laser engraved as the wings are.


Engraved wings are featured on each side of the device that stop at the spine of the mod. The device itself represent the helmet of the warrior Brunhilde that had wings on each side of it as the mythology says.







The front of the SBS device is where the fire buttons location is with further representation of the warrior Brunhilde's helmet complete with side panels to protect her face. The type-c charge port was placed at the bottom portion of the devices face. There are no sharp edges anywhere on the device making it comfortable holding in any hand position, notice the fire buttons color matches the color of the device for a almost invisible blending effect.





Further story telling continues on the battery cap showing the wall of fire that surrounded the Valkyrie warrior Brunhilde while she lay in her everlasting sleep engraved as well, there are 3 slots cut into the cap for battery ventilation. Vapefly and the German group really carried the mythology all the way in the design of the SBS.





Correct battery polarity is marked with a red plus symbol inside the battery tube and the battery cap has a minus symbol stamped inside it between 2 battery ventilation slots. Any 26mm atomizer used on the Brunhilde SBS will sit flush with no gap between it and the 510 top plate, the 4 cuts in the top plate of the 510 serve no purpose other than being aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Remember that most bubble tanks won't fit.





The laser engraving of the helmets face and wings are really done well, both wing tips meet at the same spot where the spine of the device begins. Having the battery tube, cap and adjustment buttons all done in silver highlight the device very nicely. I of course wanted to take advantage of the 21700 battery capacity but 20700 and 18650 batteries can also be used in the device. I tried all of the above mentioned batteries and all performed fine, fit was solid as well with no movement heard or felt when the device was shaken.






On the bottom of the device and recessed inward is where the display screen is positioned, this is a plain white screen that is very bright and vivid with the font size being just the right size for quick viewing without needing to squint. Six ventilation holes are also on the base plate.

This is a very basic layout of information because of space but it gives you all you really need to know in a 4 position setting on the display screen.

As I mentioned in the beginning of this review I was supposed to receive the full kit for review but some mishap happened and I only received the SBS device which left me to search through my inventory of atomizers to mount on the SBS.

I happen to be a person that likes their atomizer to match the mod it's placed on and during my search I came across a old atomizer that at the time was going to solve problems with the version it was replacing.

In the looks department this atomizer was gorgeous for it's time and came in a blue color that happens to be my favorite color so I ordered it, tried it, and it was a failure in the flavor department so it sat until I came across it looking for a atomizer that would match the SBS.


I didn't use it in testing the device because I knew what the performance was going to be like but I just wanted to include it in the photos to show all of you how nice looking it would have been because the color match was close to a perfect match, protective sticker is still on the Brunhilde SBS in this photo. Rest assured I did find a atomizer worthy to sit on the Brunhilde SBS





I don't know why that atomizer was still in one of my vape bins because I thought it was tossed years ago. I did find a atomizer that fit the bill for the review of the Brunhilde SBS, it does have it's shortcomings but vapes very well and looks good as it's side kick atomizer.





I don't vape in temperature control so I can't be of help to those of you that do, but in wattage mode the Brunhilde shines and has become a favorite of mine.

Wattage is increased/decreased in 1 watt increments when either adjustment button is held down but you can change wattage adjustments by 0.1 increments by just tapping the adjustment buttons so those that like to vape in 1 tenth settings will be happy as well. The round robin feature is also present on the device.

In my hand I am able to use it with my middle fingertip as it lines up pretty well with the fire button, but I am able to use the fire button as a firebar by just squeezing the device which is how I have been using it most.

The menu on the device is so easy to use and navigate.

USING THE BRUNHILDE SBS

In the time I've been using the Brunhilde SBS which is considerable because of previous reviews backed up in my queue of vape devices it has become a favorite of mine, my large hands sometimes have trouble with smaller devices like a SBS but the Brunhilde just seems to fit my hand very well.

Buttons seem to line up well and lately I have been using it by squeezing and the fire button works like a firebar which makes the vape effortless.

I wish the full kit was sent because I know and have used the older Kriemhild tank quite a bit and would like to see the changes if any were done on the new version. I am going to get the MTL Brunhilde atomizer and use it on the SBS, I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Even though I only vape in wattage mode and only use the adjustment buttons for increases or decreases of wattage it's nice to have a menu system that is easy to navigate with only a few button combinations to remember.

Power is clean with no spikes or drops and she hits immediately with no ramp up or need for a pre-heat, I very seldom vape past 70w so there is more than enough power for my needs.

Incorporating the mythology traits of the female warrior Brunhilde's helmet on the mod is fantastic as well as being done perfectly, I mean even the battery cap has the flames that surround her on it.

In closing I will tell you that now I see what all the who ha about this device is all about having used it for a great deal of time. I think it's a winner and 100% recommend it.

Anyone know the size of the o-rings on the top of the Brunhilde tank? I'm trying to measure them without a caliper and I get all different sizes.

The best I can figure out is 22*1mm.

I've had to replace several of the o-rings with the spares because the tank would not close properly.

In other words, I need spares for my spares.

I’m a little stuck re. Coils,juices ,wattage and the rest! I bought a voopoo drag recently which is great and came with a free bottle of 6mg juice of my choice (blueberry) I’m finding unless I use it at even at 5 watts it’s catching the back of my throat and makes me cough.
I want to give up smoking but finding it easier to light up and smoke than vape.
Any advice you all can give would help.

I Love freshly made juice! I make 50ml bottles of juice and before they are almost half gone the sweetness is gone.

Welcome back folks for today's review of one of Voopoo's latest kits called the Doric 60. This is a stick styled device with a power output of between 5-60 watts with a internal 2500mAh battery and has 3 power levels to choose from with a couple of new features that I'm glad Voopoo included on the Doric 60 Kit. Simplicity in the making is how I would describe the Doric 60 with many popular Voopoo traits .

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS


Voopoo did things a little differently with the packaging for the Doric 60 by having the device with the PNP Pod attached resting in a plastic shell that slides out of the shipping box, when I first opened the package and slid the tray out I was stumped that no bag or box containing the charge cord, 2nd coil and user manual fell out with it.

The reason being that all of the above mentioned items are in a box that fits snugly up inside the plastic tray underneath it, nice space saving method they used.

I was sent the SPACE GREY color that is a nice neutral color, it definitely has a metallic look to it. 2 rows of knurling on the 360° airflow control ring add style to the Doric's look. Doric is printed on the device below the fire button towards the bottom of the device, it's very lightly printed which I like.





The bottom of the device has designed by Voopoo at the bottom and made in China at the top, there is a single hole for the internal 2500mAh battery venting in the center surrounded with a rubber ring that keeps the device secure from falling over to easy and it also protects any surface that the Doric is placed on.





For most of you out there you are familiar with the PNP Pod from past devices from Voopoo but some of you might be seeing it for the first time. 4 very strong magnets secure the pod to a metal base that sits inside the device. The PNP Pod uses a bottom fill method with a very large fill port that fits 100ml bottle tips easily, coils are push and pull hence the name.





On the subject of coils the VM1 0.3Ω mesh rated to be used between 32-40w and the VM5 0.2Ω mesh coil rated to be used between 40-60w are the included coils. The VM5 on the left has a little bit more mesh hitting the cotton surface than the VM1 on the right giving it a warmer vape, I know these coils very well and performance wise both are very good.





Inside the device is the metal ring or ledge that connects with the magnets on the pod making a very strong connection, inside the ledge further down into the device at the center are the 2 gold contacts the make connection with the installed coil, at the top of this picture above one of the gold contacts and between 2 black screws is the auto-draw inlet tube of the auto-draw feature of the device.

The 2 knurling bands of the 360° airflow ring that I mentioned earlier are better seen in this picture, below them are the 3 bright led lights that indicate power level and battery strength above the fire button.







Voopoo uses 3 power levels that are different from each other and can be felt in the vape.
The 3 power levels are as follows ( HIGH-WHITE ) ( MEDIUM-GREEN ) ( LOW-BLUE ), I have been unable to find out what wattage or voltage setting each levels output is except that the device power output is 5-60watts, it's not stated in the manual or on Voopoos website.

To change power levels press the fire button 3 times quickly to get into the adjustment mode, when in adjustment mode the 3 led light indicators will remain on, while lights are on each press of the fire button will change the power level to a new one.

The indicator lights also serve another purpose telling you the % of power left in the device.

Airflow of the Doric 60 is very smooth and has no funny sounds when cutting it down at any position it's in, even the single hole position I tried for a short couple of vapes, I'm glad that Voopoo decided to include the single hole for the air flow, using the MTL coils in the PNP line really gives battery life a boost lasting all day for most vapers.

Auto-draw is a function that many vapers like and the Doric has that feature, having your air flow wide open will require you to inhale very deeply to get it to engage while the more closed down the air flow gets the better it performs, it's a nice feature but I'm a button presser myself.

Tube styled devices balance on a very thin line, to long and they tip over easily, to thin and the hand feel ergonomically is off and battery capacity isn't vey high.

The Doric 60 seems to conquer all of those short cummings with a 2500mAh battery in a short but girthy package that is also very lightweight while still being of a sturdy nature.

Putting the PNP Pod on top was another good choice, I am probably biased here with that statement because I use the PNP Pod everyday on another device that's in my personal rotation of favorites and have been for some time because the Pod has good capacity and the PNP coils are some of the best in the industry.

Overall I think that the Doric 60 has a very attractive classy look with little accents that add to it's charming looks.




Performance has been great although I did get the 8 flashes of red lights letting me know I was over the limit and gave me a time out after a few 5 second vapes that I normally don't do but wanted to test the protection feature out.

I think Voopoo did a great job on styling the Doric 60 in the looks department and it has performed just as nice as it looks. Having the ability to use all the coils in the PNP line also gives the device bonus points.
