VAPORESSO TARGET 80 KIT REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Greetings again everyone and welcome back for today's review of the TARGET 80 Kit from Vaporesso. The TARGET 80 device sports a internal 3000mAh battery and also has a 510 connection making it usable with other atomizers with a 510 pin. The atomizer used in this kit is the Tank 26 that I have covered in previous reviews, it's a proven great performer and uses the also great GTX line of coils. This is more than just a wattage only device having many power modes to choose from, so lets cut to the chase and find out some information on the TARGET 80 Kit before my review of it.

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

As most device kits do the TARGET 80 Kit slides out of a encased sleeve, opening the box to find the device, tank, coils and braided charge cable resting in their own cutouts with all your paper information on top in a black open envelope as Vaporesso always does.

Vaporesso decided to use the Tank 26 with this kit and that will make users that have other Vaporesso kits that use the Tank 26 happy including myself, connection of the tank is still done using 4 strong magnets but on the TARGET 80 they connect to a 510 adapter that connects via a 510 pin.

20210903_174656.jpg

Both of the coils provided in this kit are mesh using flax cotton and a non-woven fabric that work very well and produce great flavor and thick clouds of vapor, another note to mention about the GTX platform of coils is that they are very leak resistant.

Included in the TARGET 80 Kit are the 0.2Ω mesh coil that is rated between 45-60 watts, Vaporesso suggest 55 watts as a best setting for the 0.2Ω coil and that's my sweet spot as well.

The 2nd coil that's included is the 0.3Ω mesh that is rated between 32-45 watts with a best setting of 45 watts, my sweet spot for this coil is slightly higher at 48 watts.

Both coils perform great with the 0.2Ω being my favorite in the GTX platform of coils, mesh netting patterns are pretty close to one another with the 0.2Ω coil on the left having a little bit more mesh on the surface of the cotton, as I said both perform great but the 0.2 gives off a slightly warmer vape that suites my style better.

20210904_071317.jpg

I am very glad that Vaporesso decided to incorporate a 510 connection on the TARGET 80 for the use of the many other atomizers that users have, instead of connecting to the device directly the Tank 26 now connects magnetically via a adapter with a 510 pin. This connection method has worked flawlessly always recognizing when the Tank 26 was connected.

20210904_075539.jpg

Top fill is the method used with the Tank 26 with a easy opening top cap that only needs to be turned slightly to remove or put back on, because the Tank 26 has no hard stops and spins freely 360° you will want to grasp the tank itself when removing or putting the top cap back on. The Tank 26 uses a membrane for the fill port that opens when a bottle tip is inserted and closes back up when removed, I wish all atomizers used this fill method because it works so well. One note to mention is that the drip tip is non replaceable but it's comfortable to use and works well.

The membrane is a piece silicone that has been cut in a X pattern allowing the individual 4 pieces to separate when filling, there is also a tiny hole that's used as a bleeder valve releasing air during the filling process so that no juice backup occurs when filling, when a small bubble of juice starts to escape through the tiny air hole stop filling, ( your full ). 100ml bottle tips fit inside the large fill port opening just fine.

20210904_090735.jpg

20210904_092747.jpg

Now that the Tank 26 has been covered in detail it's time to move our attention the the TARGET 80 device. Starting at the top Vaporesso included a lanyard ring that sits under the top plate, I will tell you folks that I hate that Vaporesso did this to such a beautiful device.

In my opinion it's a only a eyesore because I really don't notice it during vaping. It's not meant to be removed so your stuck with it like it or not.

The top plate of the TARGET 80 is flat and has 3 cutouts that travel from the outside of the top plate to the 510 so if you want to use a atomizer that gets it's air supply from the 510 your covered. I have tried 6 different atomizers on the TARGET 80 and all of them sit flush, because the top plate appears to be stainless steel there is no worry of scratching the top of the device. The 510 pin has a nice amount of travel so I see no problem with gaps if using other atomizers.

20210904_064936.jpg

There is no wobble when sitting the device on a flat surface because of the shape and the fact it has a little bit of girth to it, the bottom of the device is only 1 of 2 spots on the device with any branding.

20210904_130210.jpg

A matt gunmetal color was used on the entire cage like body of the device and having a many faceted diamond pattern on the side panels that feel like a hard plastic material. When I first looked at the device my eye was drawn to that bronze colored lanyard that really offsets the beautiful colors of the blue faceted side panels and the gunmetal color of the body.

Putting the looks of the lanyard aside most will agree that this is a attractive looking device, indoors in regular lighting the look of the side panels is rather flat based, with sparkle coming off the many faceted cuts on the side panels.

Out in the sunlight the many facets catch the light and give off a nice reflection of color, not shiny but more of a deeper rich color reflection that adds depth to the TARGET 80's appearance.

The device has a very clean non busy look except for the lanyard connection ring, and as mentioned earlier no branding is to be found on the device except for the very bottom and the spine that has VAPORESSO etched into it.

For having a internal 3000mAh battery inside the TARGET 80's weight was a big surprise because it really is a lightweight and travels easily in a pants pocket not really taking up much space. There is no mention of what the materials are but I think the entire device is made from a hard plastic.

20210904_122612.jpg

The front of the device is clean and it's 4 button layout is well done, yes I said 4 buttons. The TARGET 80 has a menu button that sits below the 2 adjustment buttons and sort of looks like a face with the type-c charge port looking like a mouth.

The layout of the screen is done very well with fonts that are easy to read, My camera didn't pickup the colors very well but this display screen uses 3 colors - White, Blue and Green.

Screen layout is as follows top to bottom and left to right

* Battery Bar Smart Feature ( If Engaged )

* Wattage - Voltage - Bypass

* Power Mode

* Ohms Volts

* Puff Counter Seconds Of Last Puff

20210904_131504.jpg

When charging there is a minute counter letting you know how many minutes left until fully charged as well as a battery bar meter and digital percentage readout. ( VERY NICE )!

Diy Mode
You can choose traditional VW (Soft(S),Normal(N),High(H)),VV(0-9V),BP(Bypass) Modes in this section

SMART FEATURE

The Smart feature on this device is in my opinion a must have and should be included on every vaping device, what it does when you activate it is reads the resistance of the coil your using and set a recommended wattage that is appropriate for that coil, for instance say you were using the 0.2Ω coil set at 55 watts and decided to put a different atomizer on with a build of 0.9 and you forget to reset your wattage down to say 16-18 watts and had a vape at the 55 watts you had set up for the 0.2Ω coil, your cotton would be burnt and ruined but if the SMART feature was activated it would set the wattage down automatically and the burnt cotton would not happen.

This feature not only works with Vaporesso coils but also other coils drop ins or your own builds. In testing the TARGET 80 out I was doing just what I mentioned and received a phone call just as I attached a different atomizer and became distracted and had a vape, about 2 seconds into the vape I realized that I forgot to lower the wattage but the TARGET 80 did it for me and correctly read the build I had in that atomizer also setting the wattage to the setting I normally vape that build at. ( LOVE THE SMART FEATURE )

MENU SYSTEM

Entering the power menu is done by pressing and holding down the bottom menu button until the power selected begins flashing, when flashing use the adjustment buttons to move to the power mode you want then either press the fire/power button or wait 5 seconds

To get into the full menu press the menu button 3 times quickly, once inside use the adjustment buttons to make your selections, once your happy with your selections either press the exit button or the menu button, very easy to navigate the menu.

USING THE TARGET 80 KIT

Using the TARGET 80 Kit has been a joy because of many reasons, being made from a hard plastic as I think it is really makes it portable because of the weight factor. For size it's about the same size of most devices and fits in a pocket nicely so it's not been only used as a device that's strictly designated for the desk.

Having a 510 connection is a very big plus as well as keeping the top plate flat showing no gaps using the 510 adapter or any other atomizer that I have tried on it, all sit flush.

Deciding to use the Tank 26 was a very good decision for Vaporesso because it has so many positive features to it, easy open top cap and a fill method that I wish all atomizers had because it works so well without leaving a mess when filling.

I really like the airflow of the 26 because it's smooth at any position and has no goofy sounds or whistles in any setting. Wide open should please anyone that likes a somewhat airy vape and closed down you can tailor it to your liking. By just turning the tank itself to adjust airflow is also a simple efficient way of doing so, I just wish there were hard stops at each side of the 510 adapter.

I never really noticed that much of a difference in the past using the F(T) mode but decided to try it for a extended time this go around because I was trying a new juice out, I definitely notice a difference now.

In the F(T) mode I had a sharper more pronounced flavor than I had in any of the other modes that I tried converting me to F(T) mode in most of the testing of this device. I was using a vanilla liquid and in the F[t] mode it was much sweeter. The tried and true GTX flavor producing coils used in this kit are one of my favorite drop in coils out there and I am very familiar with them, flavor really pops.

This device has no lag time and fires immediately with the press of the button that has a nice size to it and is clicky and somewhat mushy giving off a good feel when fired.

The TARGET 80 Kit is a definite WINNER folks and I 100% recommend it to you.

I would like to thank Milo and Vaporesso for providing the TARGET 80 Kit for the purpose of this review, I also hope this review helped anyone looking to purchase the TARGET 80 Kit.

THANK YOU

Specifiactions:

- Size: 52.8mm X 25mm X 86.5mm
- Battery: Dual 18650 Batteries (Not Included)
- Output Wattage: 1-160W
- Output Voltage: 1-8V
- Screen:0.96”color display
- Charging Current: USB-C, 5V/2A

Istick power 2c is powered with two 18650 batteries and this mod works from 1-160w. You can buy this mod in few different colors which is pretty good. Dimensions of the mod are 52.8mm X 25mm X 86.5mm. Build quality of the mod is good and I like the design, big part of the mod is covered with leather and mod is pretty much comfortable for uising.

gmgtlT0.jpg

From the top side of the mod you can see the connection with very good threads in my opinion. Connection is a bit raised which should protect the mod from atomizers, so far looks good. Atomizers that are 24mm in diameter will look very nice on this mod.

So this mod is powered with 2 18650 batterijes and battery cover is on the bottom of the mod. Considering the design of this mod it would be better if cover is from back side of the mod since this system may be a problem. So far battery cover works very good and it looks pretty strong so I hope that it will stay good. When batteries are inside the mod and when you shake the mod there is no any rattling which is good. This mod has usb c port which is great and it is placed on one side of the mod. You can use this port to charge your batteries because this mod supports balanced charging.

ybz6aYA.jpg

9OI2ZXv.jpg

On the front side of the mod you can see the fire button, screen and plus and minus buttons. The fire button is very clicky on this mod and it is pretty comfortable for using, I really like it. We have color screen here, brightess of the screen is good. Buttons are also good here, everything works good.
You can turn on or turn off mod when you press 5 times on the fire button, when you turn on the mod on the screen you can see:

- Battery indicator
- W
- Ohm
- Puffs
- Time

When you click 3 times on the fire button you will lock the buttons but you will be able to still use the fire button, you need to do the same to unlock the buttons. When you hold minus button and fire button you can turn on stealth mode which is good.
When you hold minus and plus buttons you will enter the menu and you can see:

- Mode
- Puff
- Color
- Default
- Id check
- Exit

We have few working modes here, we have power working mode, smart working mode and voltage working mode. Also you can change the color of the screen which is really good. In my opinion menu is pretty simple and you can do anything pretty easy.

My thoughts:

Eleaf power 2c is pretty much nice mod in my opinion, I really like the leather and mod is comfortable for using. Connection looks really nice and threads are good if you ask me. The fire button and bottons are good, the fire button is very clicky and comfortable for using. We have color screen here and you have option to change the color of the screen. We have few working modes including vv working mode which many people like. We don't have tc mode here which will be a con for some people, I personally don't mind it because I don't use tc and without tc mod is simple for using. This mod supports balanced charging which is nice if you need sometime to charge batteries inside The mod. Battery cover is from the bottom which can be a con for someone, but anyway battery cover looks solid and so far it works good. Mod works good, no any problems in my opinion. If you ask me this mod is very solid mod, nothing much to complain about, if battery cover stays good I can suggest you the mod since I like it a lot.

Cons:

- It would be better that battery cover is from behind, anyway so far battery cover looks good
- No tc working mode, for someone this will be a pro because mod is simple for using

Pros:

- Good build quality
- Mod is comfortable for using
- Really nice design if you ask me
- Mod supports balanced charging, it has usb c
- Color screen
- You can change color of the screen
- I like the fire button
- Vv working mode
- Easy to use
- Mod works very good

GEEKVAPE OBELISK 120FC WITH FAST CHARGER review by hittman

I’m back with you today to discuss another product that was sent to me by Sourcemore in order to provide this fair and honest review for you on the Geekvape Obelisk 120FC. I honestly never heard much about this product besides I knew it was released a while back but didn’t really see much if any comments on it. The Obelisk 120 has a 3700mah internal battery and claims a fast charging rate of 15 minutes. We shall see if that holds true later in this review. Although the display looks similar to other Geekvape products, the chip has been upgraded to include the OTG mode which allows the user to charge other devices with it and thus acts as a power bank. The kit I received included the Geekvape Z sub ohm tank as well as the Geekvape fast charger.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The Obelisk 120FC comes in standard Geekvape packaging. Once the outer cover is slid off and the top of the box is removed, the mod is visible. After removing the mod, the tank, user manual, USB-C to USB-C charging cord, and accessory package are below that in another box and the 5ml Z Tank is beside that in a foam insert. I’ve reviewed the Z tank prior to this and very much like the flavor and performance from it. It’s nice that they include the charging cable that can be used to charge other devices rather than a standard USB cable but perhaps would have been even better if both were included just in case someone didn’t have a standard USB-C charging cable.

The Obelisk 120FC in my opinion is attractive in appearance but is physically a bit larger than the Obelisk 200 that I recently reviewed. On both sides of the mod are the shiny colored panels that are fingerprint magnets. It comes with clear protective film over both sides which I have left on and have been using like that so I don’t have to wipe fingerprints off. I received the gunmetal edition so the panels on mine are green which I actually like quite well. On both sides is the Geekvape name on the panels and on the right side is the USB-C port. The back of the mod has what I’ll call a V notch shape protruding out the back for the length of the body. The bottom of the unit just has three gold colored screws with the Obelisk name printed on the bottom and the usual CE information. The top of the Obelisk is a one piece plate with three gold colored screws and the 510 connection mounted in the center with a gold plated spring loaded center pin. The Obelisk is a bit bulky but very comfortable in my opinion to hold.

upload_2021-9-5_9-49-43.png

On the front of the mod is the fire button which is nice and clicky followed by the .96” TFT display screen with the + and – buttons below that and the Obelisk symbol near the bottom.

The menu operation is very similar to other Geekvape devices that I’ve tried and the display looks very similar. The information on the .96” TFT display screen will seem very familiar to those that have used Geekvape devices. The display shows the following information from top to bottom.

- Mode of operation

- Battery level indicator

- Set wattage

- Coil resistance

- Amperage under load

- Voltage under load

- Puff counter

I do wish that the battery level was indicated in percentage instead of just the five colored dashes at the top.

upload_2021-9-5_9-50-34.png

The menu operation for the Obelisk 120 is similar to prior Geekvape mods but there is a new mode option in the menu. The new mode is OTG. If you need to charge another device whether it be another mod, pod, cell phone, or whatever as long as it has a USB-C connection to use the included cable or if you have an adapter then you could most likely charge other devices. The maximum output in OTG mode is 5v/ 2.4A. I found that in order to use this mode it’s best to have the cord attached to the Obelisk and the device being charged. Then switch the mode to OTG and the charging will automatically begin and once your device is fully charged then the Obelisk will shut off the output automatically and return to the previous mode. If you put the Obelisk in OTG mode without anything connected to pull a load then it will not have any output and will switch back to the previous mode.

The menu operation of the Obelisk 120 is as follows.

- Press the fire button five times to turn the device on or off

- Press the fire button three times to highlight the mode of operation and then use the + and – buttons to scroll through the modes which are Power, TC-SS, TC-TCR, VPC, Bypass, and OTG

The fast charger from Geekvape comes in standard packaging. The charger just includes the charger block with adapter to meet the power of your chosen adapter which for me is a 120v adapter and user manual. There is no charging cord included so you need to use the cord that was included in the Obelisk 120 box.

I had the battery in the Obelisk drained down to one battery mark left on the display and had been using it there for a while. When I plugged the Obelisk into the charger it showed that I had about 18% battery left. One connected to the charger, the mod did charge very quickly and was finished in less than 15 minutes. It does in fact do what it’s supposed to.

IMG-6464.jpg

I felt like the the battery on the Obelisk rated at 3700mah lasted a very long time but it is nice that if needed, the battery can be charged in about the time it takes to brew a pot of coffee. That is of course unless if you have a Bunn coffee maker in which case go ahead and drink a cup of that coffee and then it should be charged.

Geek-Vape-Obelisk-120-FC-Z-Kit-Z-Sub-Ohm-Tank.jpg

The tank included in the kit with the Obelisk 120FC is the Geekvape Z Sub-ohm tank which I have seen before and believe was included in the Legend 2 kit also. It uses the Z series coils that are KA1 and the included coils are the .2 ohm coil rated at 70-80 watts pre-installed and the .4 ohm coil rated 50-60 watts.

IMG-6109.jpg

IMG-6106.jpg

The Z Tank is a very good flavor producer with the coils included and if you’re a cloud chaser then this is one you’d probably like. The tank uses a combination of both direct top airflow and top to bottom airflow to create really good flavor and has been totally leakproof in my experience.

I won’t go into too much detail since I have already covered this tank in another review. The basics are it is the usual ¼ turn top cap that we are used to on most Geekvape tanks. The fill ports are large and can be filled easily even using a glass dropper without making a mess. The coils are push in type and produce great flavor. Just like the last time I received this tank in a kit, I ran the .4 coil a little lower than the recommended wattage and very much enjoyed it with no leaking. The .2 coil I did run a little at a lower setting than the 70-80 watts and even using 3mg liquid was not comfortable running it over around 55 watts or the intensity of the vapor would make me cough.

I might have mentioned this before but the whole Z tank thing is driving me nuts. I started with the original single coil Zeus tank and don’t understand why they needed to change it to “Z”. Honestly it gets a little confusing sometimes. We’ve got the Z sub ohm, the Z 2021 sub ohm, the Z Max, the Z RDA, and on. Why not just call them Zeus tanks or just pick a new name? Ok, sorry for that little rant. Just a pet peeve I guess.

No matter the name, Geekvape has been coming out with some pretty darn good tanks that produce really good flavor and generous amounts of vapor for quite some time now. This one is no exception.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I really have enjoyed testing the Geekvape Obelisk 120FC kit. Although it’s a little larger than the Obelisk 200, I have found that I repeatedly reach for it more often than most of the other 10-15 mods that I have in rotation. I don’t love the shiny side panels that will leave fingerprint marks but so far am still using it with the protective films on both sides. I find it very comfortable to hold.

The 3700mah internal battery seems to last forever when run with a tank that I often use in the 28-30 watt range. The display is plenty bright to me and it’s nice that you can adjust the screen brightness as well as change the display color.

Also having the ability to fast charge in 15 minutes is a valuable feature if you forget to charge your mod the night before and are in a hurry to leave for work. The Obelisk can also charge other devices “ On The Go”. I had a nearly full charge on the Obelisk and was able to charge my Ursa mini from about half way to full charge and it just took the battery indicator down about 1.5 notches. It’s good that the USB-C to USB-C cable is included to charge other devices since I didn’t have one. I guess it would be good to have some other adapters as well to charge devices that don’t use USB-C like older mods and pods as well as phones.

The Z Sub ohm tank is a really good flavor producing tank. I personally at this point don’t want to try to stock up on more coils with the future of vaping unknown in the U.S. but will most likely get a few boxes of the .4 ohm coils just to have on hand when I want to use this tank. The Z tank has very large fill ports and has plenty of airflow available to please most DTL users.

I would like to thank Sourcemore and Joyi for sending the Geekvape Obelisk 120FC kit with fast charger for this review. As always, thank you for taking the time to read my reviews. Below is a link to the website and I have a coupon code for you if you’d like to get one for yourself.

Nicotine question--

Probably dumb question but--I bought Nicotine for DIY from a new vendor without paying attention. It's 6 MGs nicotine. The rest is PG. They sell it (I see now) in 6, 18, 24, 36 48, 60 and 100% MG levels. My question is this--for a former pack and a half a day smoker, what would be a good level to get? 6% is too low. What level do most former smokers buy? I used to just buy whatever nicotine Liquid Barn had, but they no longer ship Nic to NY if at all. I'm tempted to go for the 100% level. That might be TOO strong though. This is new to me.

This vendor seems good. The quality/pricing are good. It's just too weak. That's my fault. I'd include a link but I might be breaking a rule here.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

FREEMAX MARVOS S KIT REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Hello again and welcome back for today's review of the Marvos S Kit from Freemax. The Marvos S is the newest evolution in the Marvos lineup and I think the best looking as well. This is a single 18650 device with a power range of 5-80 watts, and offering 3 power modes being POWER, SMART and BYPASS. The kit includes the Marvos DL Pod but instead of connecting directly to the device magnetically as past Marvos did it now connects magnetically to a adaptor that screws into a 510 connection of the device. With the 510 connection you now have a choice to use other tanks on this device. Without further hesitation lets check this kit out.

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The packaging of the Marvos S Kit is done as most company's do with a inner box that slides out of a outer sleeve, inside the box the Marvos S rest in a foam cutout with the pod and 510 adapter already installed om the device. Under the device are your extra coil ( 0.25Ω ) charge cord, user manual, warning card, first batch card and warranty card. The 0.15Ω coil is shipped out pre-installed in the pod.

The moment I saw the device I started to smile, this is a really attractive device blending leather and metal for a very classy appearance. The Marvos S has a 510 connection on one side of the top plate above the fire/power button.

The other side of the top plate is where the battery is installed under a silver battery cap, with no battery installed the cap is super smooth, once a battery is installed the cap feels a little gritty when turning, no big deal I just want to point it out.

I really thought the device would have a lot of heft to it but at 156.43g it's fairly lightweight. Freemax did a great job on the imitation leather, it feels real and is very soft with some cushioning to it.

20210829_110923.jpg

The kit consists of 3 major components- Mod, 510Adapter, Pod/Tank that I have laid out minus the replaceable drip tip, I used the stock drip tip while testing this kit finding no need to put one of my own on because it works fine and is comfortable to use.

I also like that it matches the pod/tank and speaking of matching having the knurling of the 510 adapter and battery cap really dress this kit up. The 510 adapter has the name Freemax stamped on it and is only 1 of 2 locations of the whole kit with the Freemax name on it while the name of the device is embossed in the leather next to the display screen. Branding was kept to a minimum.

20210903_084006.jpg

With the pod/tank laid down on it's side showing the 4 magnets that connect inside the 510 adapter that's already connected to the Marvos S laying on it's side with the battery cap screwed on, the fill port of the pod/tank is on the bottom with a plug that has Freemax stamped on it.

20210830_135453.jpg

The bottom plate of the device has 3 ventilation holes in case a battery problem occurs, the plate sits flat with no wobble on any flat surface. Freemax is stamped on the plate and it's the only spot on the device that has the Freemax name keeping a very clean classy look to the device itself.

20210829_133210.jpg

The 510 pin is spring loaded with a nice throw of travel to it in case one wanted to use different atomizers on it, most 25mm atomizers with bubble glass will fit easily but 26mm with bubble glass is iffy depending on the atomizer. When any atomizer is connected there is a small gap between the top plate and atomizer base but not very noticeable.

Correct battery polarity is clearly marked with a red plus symbol inside the battery tube but there is no marking of minus on the battery cap though.

20210829_133049.jpg

Having a large fire/power button on a device of this size is a big plus making it easy to find/feel when beginning your vape and the Marvos S has a nice sized button on the unwrapped side of the device at the top.

I can fire the device very comfortably using my finger, thumb or the upper palm of my hand, every firing position works very well and the hand fit is great ergonomically speaking. Connection of the charge cord is below the fire/power button at the bottom.

20210830_123433.jpg

Turning the device around to it's backside shows the full wrap of leather with nothing stamped or embossed on it, I know little branding leaves a clean look but I this side looks a little empty, I wish Marvos S was embossed on this side as well. ( JUST MY THOUGHTS ).

20210830_123355.jpg

I was sent the GUNMETAL/YELLOW version and I think the leather color next to the matt gunmetal body color work well together I'm very glad the gunmetal was done in a matt finish avoiding fingerprints that would have tarnished the appearance. As I mentioned earlier having the knurling of the 510 adapter and battery cap match shows freemax really took the time and got it right when designing this kit.

Even the front of the device leaves a minimalistic appearance that works by having a nice sized display screen with correct sized adjustment buttons under it.

20210830_123253.jpg

For those of you that have the other versions in the Marvos line all of the pod/tanks will work on the 510 adapter including the optional glass pod/tank as shown below.

20210902_140704.jpg

For those of you wishing to use your own 810 drip tip instead of the supplied stock one I threw on a black drip tip with a nice silver bezel at the bottom to show you how well another 810 drip tip would look.

20210901_184029.jpg

I saved the best for last, the 0.96 inch display screen as seen above is a very vivid one having fonts that are easily readable with your information laid out well on the screen.

There are 5 choices of a color screen and they are YELLOWISH BROWN, GREEN, RED, WHITE and BLUE.

There are 3 power modes on the Marvos S with 1 being a straight wattage mode called POWER that acts like any wattage device and can be adjusted using the adjustment buttons from 5-80 watts output.

The 2nd power mode is a BYPASS mode mode that basically works like a mechanical mod outputting power directly from the battery itself decreasing power output as the battery is depleted.

Freemax has a 3rd power mode called SMART mode that reads the coils resistance and sets the wattage at a minimum setting for the resistance of that coil and won't let you go over the safe wattage of the coil it has read preventing the user from burning out the coil.

The SMART mode not only works with Freemax coils but also works on your own builds or other coils from different vape company's. This feature is so good for a new vaper preventing him/she from burning out a coil prematurely, not only new vapers but veteran vapers benefit from smart mode as well.

Layout of the display screen is as follows ( left to right and top to bottom )

* Power Mode

* Battery Bar

* Wattage Selected

* Lock/Unlock symbol

* Volts

* Ohms

* Puff Counter

* Seconds Of Last Vape

* Color Choices

Having no real menu just a few button combinations makes this device so easy to navigate the options you have. Button combinations are listed below.

* On/Off - 5 Presses Of The Fire/Power Button

* Choosing Power Modes - 3 Quick Presses Of The Fire/Power Button

* Locking/Unlocking Adjustment Buttons - Press And Hold Plus/Minus Buttons Simultaneously

* Color Change - Press And Hold Fire/Power and Minus Buttons Simultaneously

* Clear Puff Counter - Press And Hold Fire/Power And Plus Buttons Simultaneously

PROS

* Attractive

* Ergonomic Hand Fit

* Replaceable 18650

* 5 Color Choices On The Display Screen

* Leather Wrap

* Matt Color Finish

* Great Freemax Flavor

* Type-C

* Large Fire/Power Button

* 510 Connection

* Smooth Airflow

* Replaceable Drip Tip

CONS

* Bottom Fill

* Threads Are A Bit Crunchy On The Battery Cap

USING THE MARVOS S

Having only 1 real con with this kit and that being the threads on the battery cap are a bit crunchy on the last few turns when screwing it on, the other being bottom fill that is a inconvenience more than a con.

This device really cradles the hand for a almost effortless vape, I don't even use the button anymore but rather use the large fire button like a fire bar and just squeeze to vape.

Freemax did their homework developing this kit giving us a 510 connection for use with other atomizers if one so chooses. I really like that the smart mode also works when using your own builds and other vape manufacturers coils pretty reasonably.

The attractive appearance of the leather being smooth and soft with a little bit of cushion to it blending with the matt gunmetal finish was a great mix of color and texture, heck even the 510 adapter and battery cap knurling match up perfectly.

Having a 0.96 inch screen to easily view your information on is great but having a choice of 5 colors to use on that display screen adds another bonus.

Having reviewed every device in the Marvos line and using the same pod/tank with every device I'm pretty familiar with it and I really like it's performance, airflow is super smooth and I have zero problems using the stock drip tip because of it's size as well as comfort using it.

This is Freemax so were used to fantastic flavor from them, the MS line of coils produce Freemax flavor as I call it which is great. I used 2 different juices that I know very well in testing of this kit and flavor came through as I knew it would, surprising to me was I got more intense flavor vaping the pod/tank with the airflow wide open.

In closing I will tell you I will continue using the Marvos S in my personal rotation of devices because it works so well and is a real looker as well.

I would like to thank Tina and Freemax for providing the Marvos S for the purpose of this review and will tell you folks that I 100% recommend the Marvos S very highly.

THANK YOU

Bench Test Results: Epoch 25P - 20A 2500mAh 18650…decent performer at a lower price

These tests below only note my personal ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This is one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. They are not supposed to be used outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous current rating and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.

Test Results
This cell appears to be accurately rated and is a decent performer that should be available at a lower price. It doesn’t perform quite as well as the Samsung 25R but where cost is the priority, and as 25R’s become harder to find, this could be a good cell to consider using.

The two cells I tested delivered 2532mAh and 2538mAh. This is fantastic consistency for a cell from one of the large, established China factories. Both cells exceeded their 2500mAh capacity rating.

Two cells were donated for testing by 18650BatteryStore (18650 Battery Store - Lithium Ion Batteries, Chargers and Accessories). Thank you!
