Now FreeMax is preparing to beat another world record with the Freemax Autopod50 the first Pod / Mod kit to use a double Mesh / Coil, it has in fact updated its COILTECH (1-2-3) to the COILTECH4.0 version

On the backside of the package are listed the specifications, the content, the manufacturer's address, logos, brands, bar code and indication on the color of the product inside the package, finally for safety we find an anti-counterfeiting and scratch hologram and check.

The Mod is built entirely of zinc alloy and this gives it a certain weight if compared to its small size, in the hand the feeling is that of extreme robustness, I would have liked to find the silicone cover unfortunately it was not present in the package or perhaps not it was still in production when this sample was sent to me.

The classic design with rounded edges gives the Autopod50 sobriety and elegance, on the other hand the glossy surface is a real magnet for fingerprints, my sample Gunmetal (I like it very much), the images do not render as good as live, due to inevitable reflections of light by taking photos.





The Gunmetal color matches well with the fume / transparent color of the Pod, the command bridge showcases a generously sized fire button has a square shape with rounded corners, looks like shiny plastic material, on click offers good sound feedback, the 0.96 O-led screen is arranged vertically, the same vertical arrangement is adopted for the rocker arm of the Up / Down keys.

After being away from vaping and from the forum for several years I bought 20 Nautilus coils for $20 from eBay

I now know I should have read up on it here before sending my money or just stopped after reading in the ad that it did say "clone".

The box and the coils look legitimate. The only thing odd is the box doesn't say BVC. Installed the first one yesterday. It vapes at least as well as the real thing but has a funny taste like water from the fountain in an old funky gas station in the wrong part of town. After several puffs the taste minimized and I'm not even sure it's there this morning.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does cleaning them help? Any other suggestions?

Awesome Mod. Looks, Build-Quality, Performance and Function are typical high-end Asmodus. But,,, I'm just a big Fan and prefer to pack and fire single 21700 Mods so it very rarely gets any use other than every now & then chairside (as the Pics testify) so time for it to gain a better home with a Vape-Partner who will show it the love and usage it deserves...

A while back I bought a bottle of TFA RY4 Double but it doesn't taste good to me on it's own. I just bought a bottle of TFA Western based on the review that it tastes like a Marlboro cig. It tastes good/great but it has kind of a bitter aftertaste. Has anyone mixed these two together? I would be looking to mix a bottle of say 4ml between the two in case it didn't work for me so I wouldn't have to throw too much away. Any and all replies are welcome.

Hello everyone and welcome to another review. This is Pizza Dave and today I will be going over the Target PM80se by Vaporesso. This is the follow up to the Target PM80 I reviewed a while back. That device wasn’t too bad, but this makes some changes to make it a whole different animal, with the most obvious change being an 18650 battery instead of a measly built-in 2000mah battery. I will go over all these tweaks in the review, but let’s get right to it eh?

FIRST IMPRESSIONS



Well, well, well. The same, but different. Little bit taller, little bit slimmer, but still offering the same look as the previous model. Up top, the pod is the same as before, with the same nice fill port that is much less messy than other rubber flapper fill ports we have seen before. As you work the way down the body, you will find that the display has now changed from a color, vertical display to a horizontal single color display thanks to the Axon chip inside. Since it shares the same name as the Gen mod, I can only assume it is a dumbed down version of the same chipset. At the bottom, you will find a hinged battery door. Nothing too fancy, just a regular slide and hinge mechanism. Feels ok, but not super solid considering how small it is. The looks of the device overall work for me. I love the color scheme, simplicity, and form factor. It feels great as I transfer it over and over in my hand and the button works for thumb or finger firing.

OPERATION



I will say this time and time again, but Vaporesso always has consistency when it comes to operating their chipsets. Once you have used one, they follow a similar pattern making it easy to dive in and start using. Here is a breakdown of the operation:

• 5 clicks of the fire button turns the device on and off
  
• 3 clicks of the fire button locks out the adjustment button, but the device still fires. 3 clicks again unlock, and this is indicated right on the display
  
• Pressing fire and down together shows the chip and firmware information
  
• Pressing fire and up together flips the screen orientation
  
• Pressing the up and down enters the menu
  
  • Smart VW mode - out of the box, VW mode is in smart mode. This shows recommended settings and sets to the middle ground of that range. If you turn this off, the VW is a standard VW mode where you control everything and it removes the “S” next to VW in the right corner. It still shows the “best” range on the lower right, but it will not change the wattage automatically when a coil is inserted.

USEAGE



Thanks to the simple chipset, getting started on the device is super easy. One of the standout features of the chipset is how it recognizes what coil is installed and offers a “best” range shown on the lower right corner of the display and it sets wattage on new coils to the middle road of that range. It is pretty much idiot proof and I appreciate that. I tested out a wide range of coils for this one, and I decided to break down usage more by each coil more than anything.



.2-ohm GTX Mesh coil - This is designed more for direct lung. I used mine at 55w with 3mg liquid and it was excellent. Flavor is solid, airflow is smooth, and it is a great option for more vapor on the go. My only complaint with the coil is that after a handful of refills I started to see some leaking into the base.



.6-ohm GTX Mesh coil - For this one, I decided to go with 6mg liquid. Glad I did, as it is a little more restricted, and with lower power comes a desire for higher nicotine. This coil was beautiful for 6mg and I found myself wanting to grab it even more now than with the lower resistance more cloud chasing setup in the .2-ohm coil.



Optional RBA base - Ah yes, an RBA base. I didn’t see this coming, but glad it did. For this one, I used the provided coil which is a 2mm round spaced build. Without modifying the coil it came out to .71-ohms which the device detected as good between 16-25w. Building the RBA isn’t the easiest in the world, but I found it to work great right out of the gate with my first build. Challenge number one is size. It is small, so it takes some gentle hands to install and position the coil. Challenge two is preheating, since they don’t include a base for a 510. I combated this by partially installing into the pod with the cap off, fired it on low wattage and looked for hot spots through the drip tip. It was glowing perfectly, so it was time to wick. This thing uses hardly any cotton outside of the coil. I thinned mine out a ton and just barely tucked into the juice flow inlets. Works great, keeps up, and no leaks after 12 mls. I can’t really complain.



Other notes in regard to using the device itself. I enjoy it. It is compact, LOVE that it uses an external 18650, and it just works. There is very little to complain about.

FINAL THOUGHTS


Alright, so after two weeks of use, where do I stand on this device? To me, this addressed a lot of the things I didn’t like about the original Target PM80, but also took away some things I liked about the PM80. First off, I love that it has an 18650 battery. It provides better battery life, gives me the option to toss a fresh battery in and head out the door, and the shape, while being a little taller, is still a convenient size. Secondly, they included the airflow adjustment inserts, which I never had on the original PM80. I ran EVERY coil with one plug in, as I found it to be too airy with both sides open. Closing down one suited the way I vape much better. Do I think they could do this a little better than adding plugs? Yeah, but at least it offers adjustment. One improvement I am seeing on this comes in the form of coils and coil options, which can also be used with the original PM80. Vaporesso seems to have listened to the users and made adjustments to perfect the coils. I had some major leaking with the original coils, but these ones were not nearly as bad with some not leaking at all through the life of the coil. There are many different coil types offering varying degrees of draws and temps making it a super versatile device as well. You can go from tight MTL to open DL just by changing the coil and tweaking the air flow inserts. Now, like I said at the start of this, they made one change that I was not a fan of and it’s the display. The Target PM80 had a vertical display, which had color, and looked awesome. With the change to the chip (probably needed for space and use with an 18650) they went to the AXON which just isn’t as pretty. Functional, yes, but just not as pretty. This is also a dumbed down Axon chip, so you aren’t getting the full package of what you would see on the Vaporesso Gen with the AXON chip. It would have been a real treat to toss an SS coil in the RBA and use TC, because the AXON actually performed decent TC and I am finding more and more that TC is my jam for MTL vaping. One con they carried over was the glossy gunmetal finish. She’s a lovely looking fingerprint magnet.

All in all, this is one of the best pod mods that I have tested. It looks great, feels great, and has a ton of vaping options. Even the RBA, while being a bit of a ..... to build, works great and I appreciate when companies give the hobbyists a chance to build.

OVEN TEST – If this were to accidentally fall into the pizza oven, would I go out and get another? I would be on the fence on whether to get again or let it burn. The pod mod market is growing at an exponential rate, and I feel there is still room for some improvement, so more than likely there will be more in the near future that will be better. Don’t let that skew you from purchase though, it gets a Pizza Dave stamp of approval.

Hello,
Just wanted to post that I had enjoyed using IQOS for just over the warranty period and it failed.
I contacted them and was told they never actually registered it for warranty, not an issue as it passed warranty (issue really was it barely passed).
That being said, they were unable to help me to get a replacement, even though I was willing to pay. I was asked countless questions on what serial number I had and more, and yet was not directed to where I could replace it.
The product is good I feel, but, if they won't stand behind it after your purchase, that is a huge problem.
I am looking for other products now and plan to never purchase from IQOS again and suggest others beware this company.

So anyway,my wish list for a RTA to go with my new Jackaroo (finally in Spain YAY) was the Peacemaker 25mm RTA,i just like the shaped of it...like the barrel of a revolver in the old west plus it's durable and coil placement seems easy.

But...

I just saw a pic of a Jackaroo with a QP Design Kali RDA/RSA and i liked it A LOT!!
Short and chubby and not as tall as the peacemaker but it's a dripper,i don't drip it's just to much of a pain.

So i resort to all you vaping masters and your infinite knowledge of vaping apparatus (love using the word apparatus,makes me seem smart doesn't it? hehe).

Looking for an RTA similar looking to the Kali,you know short and chubby,better with a single coil deck or in default a double but can be used (without performance loss) as a single coil.

Not a fan of bubble tanks and capacity isn't much of an issue,anyway i can only get 2ml's here in Spain *shrug*
For filling purposes 2ml is fine if it has a good solid filling system,i mean that there is no noticeable tear and wear.
Using the WASP NANO RTA at the moment and not a fan of the top filling system nor the drip tip that doubles as the cover.

Also as an added plus if it's available in Black that would be a huge bonus since I'm going for a full black look.

About the deck itself it would be cool if it were like a peacemaker or even like a ZEUS X,what i mean is an open type deck not like the one i have in my WASP NANO RTA.

Bit of a pain to put in the coil since there isn't much wiggle room,so an open type deck is better suited for my needs.

I have the Aegis mini and I like it a lot. The tank is the Cerebrus and has a 5.5 ml tank. I'm filling that thing up like three times a day. Are there any tanks that are compatible with the Aegis mini and have larger tanks? My other question is that I know the Aegis mini touts its very tough, difficult to break nature, but I would assume that the tank part is normal. In other words, if I drop this mod hard, the main part should be fine, but the tank could very well brake. Is that correct?

Aesthetics and Ergonomics

The Maxpod has that palm size flattened form factor that was common when the pod craze first hit the market some 18 months or so ago. The Maxpod though uses IML labelling technology to give it a high quality look and feel making it one of the most aesthetically pleasing pod devices to date in my opinion. I received the White colour, it's available in Yellow, Green, Red, Blue, White or Black and rather than describing further i will leave it to the photos. You also will receive a lanyard which has a rubber band which fits around the device if that's your thing.

The Pod

You receive just one pod with a 2ml capacity but the pod does accommodate replaceable coil heads. The pod has a very comfortable smoked duckbill mouthpiece and main body is what FreeMax describes as a translucent tea-light colour which is tinted but lightens as e-liquid is added so your juice level is clearly visible.

On one side of the pod we have a Blue silicone bung which lifts up while still staying attached to the pod, the fill port is plenty big enough for most nozzles with room for air to escape and as you can imagine adding your initial 2ml of e-liquid takes the matter of a couple of seconds and job done! On the pod there is a clear marking giving a minimum liquid amount which you shouldn't go below which is actually about halfway up the section of the pod that holds the liquid so e-liquid needs adding every 1ml to top up which isn't ideal but then at such low wattage 1ml goes a surprisingly long way.

Looking at the base of the pod with coil installed we have the central contact and negative surround and the pod also has to each side of the base a magnet to secure the pod in the device.

The Coils

You receive 2 different coils which is the pre-installed 1.0ohm coil recognised by it's Blue o-rings and also included is a 1.5ohm coil which has Red o-rings. The coil heads include the chimney and just get press fitted into place.

FreeMax as mentioned has spent 3 years on creating their NS Mesh MTL coils which include getting the correct blend of Flax and Organic Cotton to match the performance of their subohm coils when it comes to superior flavour and longevity. They have a flawless reputation when it comes to their coils so understandable they didn't take any risks in tarnishing that reputation hence we have waited so long for a FreeMax MTL Pod device.

The 1.0ohm NS Mesh Coil head has a 66.3% Flax Cotton and 33.4% Organic Cotton wicking mix and is best with Nic salts between 20 to 30mg or freebase between 3 to 12mg, with the device giving a constant 3.3V you get a constant 11w of power when using this coil head. This coil has been developed for giving great flavour no matter what flavour profile you use while also giving decent cloud production.

The 1.5ohm NS Mesh Coil head has a 44.44% Flax Cotton and 55.56 Organic Cotton wicking mix and is best with Nic salts between 30 to 50mg or freebase between 12 to 24mg, the power the device outputs with this coil head is a constant 8w. This coil has been developed for higher nicotine intake and throat hit and works particularly well with tobacco flavours.

Fitting The Pod

Looking inside the pods bay we have a recessed rectangular central section which houses the central positive and outer negative spring loaded pins, the inner surround of this recessed section leads to the membrane switch. To either side of the central section we have a magnet which lines up with the magnets on the pod which gives an excellent secure fit. The duckbill mouthpiece of the pod has a surface which gives grip allowing the pod to be pulled out easily.

Full marks for how secure the pod fits while also allowing for easy removal as my biggest con for this device is you can't see the juice level unless the pod is removed and it reaches the minimum mark after only 1ml of use so it needs a constant check.

Airflow

On either side of the device we have a tiny hole that allows air to get to the base of the coil, their is no adjustable airflow with the bore of the coil controlling the tightness of the draw.

Using The Maxpod

The Maxpod is a very simple draw activated device which gives a consistent output of 3.3v so simply take a draw from the device to vape. When inserting a pod the LED indicator light comes on for 1 second and when removing the pod the light flashes 3 times.



While taking a vape the indicator light will light in a colour which corresponds to battery status, the percentages are the following:

White = 71% - 100%
Green = 31% - 70%
Red = 0% - 30%



The Maxpod has all the usual protections which if they kick in are indicated by various flashes of the LED.

Charging

The device gets charged via the micro USB port situated on the side of the device which i like as the Maxpod can be stood up on it's base. While charging the light is Red and goes off once fully charged. I can't find a charge rate in the specifications but it charged in 50 mins so around 0.8A which most manufactures would rate as 1A.

My Experience Using The Device And Thoughts

The only cons i have for the device is the juice level can't be seen without removing the pod and because you ideally don't want to let the juice level go below the minimum line it needs filling every 1ml although 1ml does go quite a long way with these coils.

Despite the efficiency on e-liquid and low wattage output i got decent cloud production with both coil heads. The draw with both coils is very similar and what i would describe as a medium tight draw very much like a cigarette pull with the 1.5ohm coil being just slightly tighter but barely anything in it.

FreeMax are very specific in what each coil is best for use with but to be honest the highest Nic Salts i have is 20mg so i just tested both coils with that as well as various 70VG freebase flavours at 3mg. The 1.5ohm coil really as FreeMax claim shines with tobacco flavours while the 1.0ohm coil gave the best flavour from a pod of this type i have experienced whichever profile i used. I have been using the device on and off for a couple of weeks and taking it out with me when i have done my "essential" shopping and i am still using the two coils that came with the device despite receiving extra so as expected from FreeMax no issues with coil longevity.

The switch is very responsive and it gave a consistent vape during the entire battery life, i did think battery life may be a con but with giving a constant 3.3v output with high resistance coils the battery life was much better than expected and considering the device's stealth size more than happy.

Filling is quick and easy and the pod fits securely while still being easy to remove, the mouthpiece is also very comfortable. This would make a great starter kit for a new vaper or equally as a stealth out and about device for a mtl vaper or just someone who may need a device they can use with high mg for a quick nicotine hit.

Finally despite their higher ohms and slimmed down size the wicking in the coil heads behave very similar to with FreeMax's subohm bigger brothers holding the e-liquid well so i had no issues with flooding or leaking while wicking great even with thicker juices.

Hi guys,

I started vaping a few years ago, and stopped again..

Why? Because i could not find a vape machine that fits my lifestyle.

I'm often at work, working long shifts from the morning till the night, say 6- 1.00.
During these long days, I don't really carry a bag or something, I want everything I need to fit the pockets of my jeans. So right now i always carry: wallet (backpocket), Keys and lighter (right pocket), cigarettes 50 pack (left pocket).

During those days I'm often super busy, and I don't want to be occupied with anything else than working. Often I smoke at work (outside), while working.

I tried lots of vape machines, but they all don't fit my lifestyle. Either they run out of battery quickly and need to be reloaded, which requires me to take a powerbank with me.

Or they run out of juice quickly, which requires me to take a bottle of juice everywhere, and have the risk of it leaking in my pocket.

Or, I once had a vape machine that had and large capacity and large battery, but leaked inside my pocket.

Now i'm looking for a vape machine that is not leaking, has a 8-10ml reservoir, and fits a large capacity battery, so i can vape all day, without having to take care of refilling or reloading. It should replace my 30 cigarettes a day, which i'm currently smoking.

To me, it looks like vape machines are often sold as either 'hobby' devices: for people who enjoy playing with coils, bottles of juice, batteries, or making huge clouds. This is for sure not for me, i'm not looking for a new hobby, i just want something i can fill up at night, and load together with my phone. It should not be complicated, and I should be able to find prebuilt coils for it, I don't want to occupy more with it than with cigarettes: it should just work and do it's thing. If they don't look like hobbyist vape machines, the other options I can find, are weak (25 watt, anyone?) replacements for people who didn't really chain smoke before they started vaping. I tried a few of those weak ones, but never really could get used to them. Also those tend to run out of battery really quick.

Size and weight don't really matter to me (ever tried to fit a 50 pack of cigs in your pocket?), I just want something I don't have to look at all day, which provides me a nice smoking experience, and which I can trust not to let me down by the end of the day, because than I'm sure the first thing I do, is ask a few cigarettes to my buddies, and start smoking those again.

I'm looking for something like my phone. I found one with a huge battery capacity, which is powerful, and doesn't fail on me for an entire day. I paid a bit extra to have this, but now I don't need to find electricity plugs troughout the day anymore, which is great. I expect the same from my vape machine.

Anyone knows where I can buy such a device? Does it even exist?

Anyone else using this tank? A close friend has been using it for a month or so. Great flavor and the surprise is 16,000 puffs and still going. Using the .15 ohm installed coil running at 50w and DIY juice.

Is this normal? I am amazed and impressed. Wondering if this is an outlier and "lucky" coil, and could expect shorter coil life if more are purchased. A few reviews stated they last a long time.

I hope you all can help because I am overwhelmed looking for the perfect e-cigarette to suit my husband’s fetish!! I was a smoker for 10+ years and quit in my mid-20s. I met my husband in my late 20s and he told me shortly after we started dating that he has a smoking fetish. I happily obliged and even smoked real cigarettes for him despite the fact that I had quit. We then decided the get an e-cig and fill with flavored juice. Well that e-cig is a super cheapy piece of garbage that is WAY too heavy and it is just NOT a good replacement. My husband is super particular - it must be a SLIM, ALL WHITE cigarette. We are now back to using Virginia Slims but I hate lighting up a real cigarette (smell, health, kid in the house, etc) and I hate just holding it and not smoking it (which he says is totally fine but the ex-smoker in me hates it, hah). So what I’m really asking is - what e-cig would you recommend??? The only one I kept coming back to was the Fling by White Cloud - it is light in weight, has flavors, all white, 0% nicotine, no harmful additive ..... The only problem with the Fling is that it is not as slim as hubby would prefer. Happy to entertain refillables etc but worried that the batteries would add too much weight. I’ve done so much internet searching and it’s exhausting - there is way too much out there! Any help is appreciated!

Holding the Origin of Oxva in your hand you can immediately notice the pleasant triangular shape with rounded edges and the good balance between the lightness of the plastic panels and the solidity of the zinc alloy frame.

The first of the side panels houses the rectangular-shaped liquid control window positioned vertically (it does not offer good visibility to the older and visually impaired vaper) below which there are 3 goon style ventilation holes, finally vertically we find the name of the Brand engraved in silver and red on the plastic.



The solid and robust Drip-Tip seems to be in derlin has a beautiful shape, rough at the base with a conical shape up to the top, it is not replaceable or at least, I was unable to extract it.

Front vertically arranged at the top we find the inscription Origin on the metal, the backlit fire button is small in round shape and slightly recessed as in a sort of navel a little uncomfortable to operate for those with big fingers like me.

The underlying 0.69 "Oled display is arranged vertically.

With the same shape as the Fire button but with a slightly concave but less recessed design, we find the only Up / Down / Block / Unblock adjustment button

At the bottom and last we find the USB charging socket, useful if you do not have an external charger.



The side panel to access the compartment / battery opens by inserting a nail in the special slot, in position and rubbing it you feel a minimum play, perhaps a millimeter, but I don't think it can go anywhere even with strong finger pressure thanks to the outer edge and two good magnets that hold it in place.

The battery compartment has the + and - poles well marked, the two pins are gold plated and the negative one on the top is well sprung; together with the strap it offers a good insertion / deactivation of the 18650 cell.
The chip cools through four four-leaf clover windows.



The seat for the pod houses the air intake holes, a serial number and of course the two very small and gold / gold plated contact pins, this compartment seems well insulated from the circuit below.

At the base of the Oxva Origin we can see 3 vent holes the C E mark and the disposal logo.
