Freemax M coils...tank needed

A short while back I had ordered a Freemax Fireluke tank and the place I ordered from had M coils on sale for like $1 for a 5 pack of coils. I ordered $10 worth. Now I have 8+ boxes of coils and would like a new tank, but am not sure in which of Freemax's tanks the M coils work. Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

► Morph Pod-80 & Morph S Pod-80; First impressions:

This Smok All-In-One project started with the small Morph 40 and these two "evolutions" maintain the meticulous attention to detail, choice of materials and the original ultra comfortable "arch" design. These Kits bring together almost all the best features of a Pod system in a single device.
The arched form factor together with the fire button that occupies all the front space makes the Mods truly ergonomic, moreover the zinc alloy mask guarantees a remarkable structural solidity.
Materials such as leatherette and the velvety plastic finish give a very pleasant tactile feedback.
The OLED screen is positioned laterally in a rational way and offers 4 different reading possibilities (Flip Screen).
The AFC system is adjustable and the new cartridge with capacity increased to 5ml always stands out for the convenient refill of e-liquid from the top.

Smok Morph Pod-80 & Morph S Pod-80 7.jpg

Smok Morph Pod-80 & Morph S Pod-80 8.jpg

► Morph Pod-80 & Morph S Pod-80; beautiful from all points of view:
The air flow inlet on the top of the device is adjustable by means of a metal knob. The maneuverability of the AFC is solid and well braked, it supports the types of universal vaping from open Mtl to DL.

Smok Morph Pod-80 & Morph S Pod-80 9.jpg

The front has a stealthy and minimalist look, the large Fire key spreads across the surface and offers extended and comfortable push activation.
Under the fire button there is the 1.4A Type-C charging socket (1.5A for the S model).

The arched design of the back enhances the overall aesthetics and provides an optimal grip, the leatherette insert houses the wording "Morph Pod 80" (Morph S Pod 80) with hot branding, to complete the aesthetic picture, there are two seams with handcrafted look arranged vertically.

LOST VAPE CYBORG QUEST 100 WATT KIT review by hittman

Thank you for joining me today for my second review for LOST VAPE. This time I will be taking a look at the CYBORG QUEST 100W Kit that was sent to me in order to provide a fair and honest review. First of all, let me discuss the elephant in the room. I’m sure some will say that it’s very similar to the Cold Steel 100 or the SX Mini SL Class mods. To be honest, the Cyborg does somewhat resemble them but has taken its own twist on the design and uses the Quest 2.0 chip which in my opinion is the next best thing to a DNA chip in a mod.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Cyborg is the usual white outer shell with a picture of the device on the front that I’ve seen on other Lost Vape devices I’ve reviewed or bought. One thing that I liked was that Lost Vape makes the extra effort of putting a sleeve over the device for shipping so the device doesn’t get scratched in shipping.

In addition to the mod, the kit includes the same UB Pro pod tank that I received in the Thelema Quest kit and have used with other devices prior to doing reviews for Lost Vape. I’m a fan of this tank. The stock coils provide very good flavor and vapor production. There is also an RBA available for this tank that works very well.

Included in the kit are two coils, 18650 battery adapter, some o rings, USB-C charging cable, and user manual. The coils included in the kit are the UB Pro P1 coil which is .15 ohm and rated 70-90 watts and the P3 which is .3 ohm rated for 60-70 watts. I have found that the .3 coil is my favorite and runs very good below the rated wattage. My favorite setting is at 45 watts. It’s nice that the two coils have different colors of o rings so it is easy to see which one you’re using even if you can’t read the laser etching on the coils.

upload_2021-10-3_20-55-34.png

In case there are still some that aren’t familiar with the UB Pro Tank then here’s a little information on it. The tank is a side fill with a large opening and rubber plug that sticks out on one end so it’s easy to get a grip on to open for filling. It’s very easy to fill with no mess. The tank holds 5ml of liquid. The top plastic portion thread onto the 510 base and the airflow control is on the base and provides plenty of airflow. I happen to like the drip tip on this tank but it is replaceable if you don’t happen to like it. The coils are push to seat like so many coils now.

upload_2021-10-3_20-56-49.png

Ok, now let’s take a look at the Cyborg mod. The one I received for review is the matt black carbon fiber version. The Cyborg can use 21700, 20700, and 18650 batteries. There is an adapter included to run the 18650. The output range is 5-100 watts but I probably wouldn’t push it to 100 watts with the 18650.

The battery is installed from the bottom where you’ll find the familiar screw in battery cap. The battery cap has three vent holes in it and on the underside has a – sign to designate the polarity when installing the battery. The inside of the tube is also marked with a large + sign in the bottom.

upload_2021-10-3_21-1-23.png

upload_2021-10-3_21-1-39.png

The 510 connection on top is held in place by three torx screws and has a gold plated spring loaded center pin.

upload_2021-10-3_21-2-28.png

The frame of the Cyborg is made from Zinc alloy. On the right side of the mod is the Lost Vape name and on the right side is the Cyborg Quest name. I like that there is minimal branding.

The zinc alloy frame wraps around the sides and back in an interesting design. It may just be coincidence but when I hold it, it is a perfect fit with three of my fingers resting below the curved frame. I find it very comfortable to hold and use.

upload_2021-10-3_21-3-56.png

The Cyborg uses the same Quest 2.0 chip and interface that was used on the Thelema Quest and the Ursa Quest. The interface reminds me very much of my DNA mods. In case you haven’t seen or used a Quest mod, here is the display and operation.

upload_2021-10-3_21-4-37.png

- Battery level indicator with numerical percentages

- Mode of operation

- Set wattage

- Coil resistance and user record number

- Firing mode( Soft, Normal, Hard) and Puff counter

- Settings

Once Settings is selected using the center button the following options are available.

- Atomizer

- Screen

- Color

- User

- Reset

- About

- Back

With this type of menu there is no need to remember different button combinations besides five presses of the fire button to turn the mod on and off. There are five modes of operation and one of them is TC-SS904 which is good since the .3 ohm coil can be used with that mode. Simply use the + or – buttons to highlight the mode and press the select button. Then you can use the + and – buttons to scroll through the five modes which are

- VPC

- Bypass

- Wattage

- Voltage

- Temperature Control(SS904/SS316/Ti/Ni) mode

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I really enjoyed testing the Cyborg Quest with the UB Pro Pod Tank. I’ve been a fan of the Quest 2.0 for some time since I bought my first Ursa kit and very much like the UB Pro Tank.

The Quest chip offers plenty of features with five vaping modes and three user records. Also the ability to use three different sized batteries should keep the user up and running whether they have 21700, 20700, or 18650 batteries available.

Both coils deliver very good flavor and with three airflow slots in the 510 base the UB Pro tank has plenty of airflow available for just about any user. With the .3 ohm coil at 45 watts I only needed to the airflow open a sliver to get my preferred draw.

I did notice that the Cyborg with the UB Pro tank on it was a bit taller than most of my other mods but I very much like it and am trying to decide which color I want to order.

So, would I recommend it? If you’re looking for an inexpensive mod that uses 21700 batteries and has an interface that is similar to a DNA interface then I would say yes. I will be buying one myself as soon as I figure out which color I like best. I may have to get two.

I’d like to thank Lost Vape and Chloe for sending the Lost Vape Cyborg Quest 100 watt kit for this review. Once again, thanks to the readers. Below is a link to the website if you would like to see what Lost Vape has to offer.

Transferring gallon Nicotine to smaller 16 oz bottles. Best Method?

I recently bought a gallon of nicotine to make my own juice. However, it came in a clear gallon jug and I would like to transfer it to smaller bottles and freeze it. I know that it will oxidize quickly upon contact with air so does anyone know how to make the transfer without that happening? I used to buy from Nude Nicotine but they aren't selling it anymore. They used a luer lock on their bottles and I just siphoned it out into smaller containers with a syringe.

Thanks,

Mo

HELLVAPE DEAD RABBIT R TANK - Review

Hi ECF members, In this review I take a look at the Dead Rabbit R Tank from Hellvape. The Dead Rabbit R Tank was supplied for the purpose of this review by Fiona from Hellvape.

Dead Rabbit R Tank - Unique Rebuildable Mesh Tank-Hellvape - The DIY atomizer leading brand

o5K7NUH.jpg

Introduction

Hellvape are atomiser specialists that are best known for their cruelty towards rabbits although they claim no torture takes place and it's a swift and humane death (it is a joke)! Here we have their latest Dead Rabbit the Dead Rabbit R Tank which is a Sub-ohm Tank, RTA Hybrid for want of a better description.

It takes the idea of the latest cost cutting trend of the rebuildable coil head and incorporates it into an RTA setting which is something very unique and innovative. With it's dual split airflow and 510 drip tip fitting although fully open this gives a fair amount of air it's going to also suit semi restrictive and RDL vapers, let's give it a closer look!

Disclaimer: No Rabbits were harmed in the testing of this product or writing of this review!

Aesthetics

The R Tank came in Orange cardboard box packaging with outer Orange cardboard sleeve, on the front we have branding and on the reverse contents, specs, etc! I received the Matte Full Black version, the options are Rainbow, Gold, Blue, Gunmetal, SS, Matte Black or Matte Full Black!

Up top we have a top-cap which inclines up to a 510 fitting Delrin drip tip, the outer edging of the top-cap has some really nice raised Celtic Knot decoration which also serves a practical service in the way of grip. Through the glass we can see the chamber with "R Tank" engraved into the surface and generous wicking ports, the shape of the chamber definitely gives this more of an RTA rather than Sub-ohm look! Due to the nature of this having a vertical mesh build within a shell which takes up room we have a large metal section between the glass and the base, this section has "Dead Rabbit" in fancy font carved into the metal one side and a carved "Dead Rabbit logo" the other. We then have the base section with AFC, the AFC has the same raised Celtic Knot design as on the top-cap which helps with grip when turning, we have dual slot airflow! Looking at the base we have safety stamps and a bit of branding, the 510 is Gold plated and protrudes nicely!

All the threading and tolerances are spot on and in my subjective opinion it's an handsome looking atomiser coming in a colour to suit everyone!

What You Receive?

You receive the R Tank with 5ml straight glass (2ml TPD) and also a 6.5ml alternative bubble glass! You also receive 5 pre-cut strips of cotton, 5 strips of mesh with attach leads and a coil building tool which essentially is for bending your cotton and mesh assembly around for inserting into the coil head section of the deck. You also receive a bag of extra O-rings, a quick building guide and full manual.

4qO7Rqh.jpg

_________________________________________________________________________

It's Various Parts!

Up top we have a 510 fitting Delrin drip tip, I can see the argument for a 810 and then a 510 adaptor being supplied giving the choice but with the size of the airflow slots, them being split and chimney bore not being the widest this seems optimized more for a semi restricted vape rather than full on DL without restriction, keeping the RDL vapers interested and after testing the R Tank for me the wide bore 510 is a good choice!

tQ7iSrD.jpg

We then have the fill plate with fill ports which unscrews from the chimney part of the chamber section, this needs to unscrew to release the glass which sits on the extended base section of the chamber, it's sealed top and bottom with O-rings and the alternative 6.5ml bubble glass can be fitted if you prefer! Looking inside the chamber with chimney section is quite interesting, the inner chamber is actually the outer shell of the coil head assembly, like the outer shell of the SMRT coil but within a chamber structure, the outer chamber has wicking ports to feed the coil head and is stepped to the chimney which sits immediately above the coil head shell!

9AcSeeL.jpg

The chamber does have a condensed RTA look about it but it's really aesthetic as the vapor will go directly from the top of the coil into the chimney! The base section sees the deck which has the inner shell of the coil head and two large terminals below, the AFC does have stoppers but can move much further one way to also allow the terminal screw heads to be unscrewed and tightened without removal!

QetUtvh.jpg

_________________________________________________________________________

Filling

The top-cap has an interesting fitment, it works as quick as the bayonet style but without the need of the downward pressure before turning. Either side on the inside perimeter of the top cap we have a tab, then either side on the outside perimeter of the fill plate we have a notch for those tabs to fit into and then a rail going one way, each rail goes in opposite directions so just the slightest turn and the tabs travel along the rails to secure the tank! Although I had no issues at all when filling it does need pointing out the fill ports are not big by any means so you could have issues if using large nozzles!

Xs80OTo.jpg

_________________________________________________________________________

Airflow

The airflow works just like dual bottom slots on a sub-ohm tank but the AFC is allowed to be turned further in one direction before hitting the stopper to allow the decks terminal screws to be accessed without AFC removal, although personally I did remove it when building the coil!

The slots are not long but are quite wide with a split airflow so the outer slot lines up with two very narrow slots instead of a matching wide single slot! I do wonder if it was done like this because the slots on the AFC were wider than they wanted to also allow access to the terminal screws so went for the split airflow to restrict the airflow intake!

P9hp8Pw.jpg

The AFC has that raised Celtic Knot decoration for good grip and moves with a nice tolerance, the air comes through the slots and up through the centre of the coil head from below.

_________________________________________________________________________

The Deck And Build!

Wow the graphic below states the build can be done in 15s, it takes me that long just to unscrew the terminal screws and to be honest however much fun and easy this is to build I recommend taking care to do a good job, 3 to 5 mins start to finish is more realistic although doing it half with one hand so I could take photos maybe take a minute off that!

dead-rabbit-r-tank-rebuildable-mesh-tank-by-hellvape-17-gif.956527

The deck has two large terminals in it's base and the screws get unscrewed and tightened from the outside of the base with or without the AFC present, whichever you prefer!

In a vertical position above the terminals we have what can only be described as the inside shell of a sub-ohm rebuildable coil (like a SMRT coil) but fixed in position. First you need to undo the terminal screws so the large terminals are wide open. You then place one of the mesh strips with leads facing downwards on the centre of the cotton with the cut corner of the cotton to the top left, the outside of the cotton has a silky coating which I have no idea what it is but you do not remove it! You then place the lower (smaller in diameter) section of the coil building tool onto the centre of the mesh and bend the mesh and cotton around the tool!

UOmr0ge.jpg

When you look at the coil head structure fitted to the base like with the SMRT coil inner shell we have an open slot which allows the excess cotton to slide through as the mesh/cotton/tool assembly is lowered in position. Before lowering the assembly into the coil shell make sure the leads are lined up with the terminal openings as once the assembly starts to be lowered into the shell in this regard you will be blind!

Once the mesh/cotton/tool is in position I would first tighten your screws and check the resistance, although it is simple and the terminals are large as mentioned as far as the leads going into the terminals is concerned after initially lining them up you are blind in regard the leads but by checking the resistance before cutting your excess cotton if you are unlucky enough for one of the leads to not find it's spot or both go into the same terminal you will still be able to save the build by simply lifting out, relining up the leads and sliding back into the coil head shell! Mine went straight in no problem but to check a rebuild was possible I unscrewed my terminal screws lifted the building material assembly out and re-installed and it was as good as the first time, neither the mesh or cotton got damaged! Once happy trim the excess cotton, remove the tool, prime up and give it a few pulses to admire your work!!

Vj8cy8w.jpg

You then line up the outer shell which sits in the chamber to the now built inner coil head and lower before screwing the tank together, fill and enjoy!!!!!!

PkmQZGn.jpg

_________________________________________________________________________

Buying Extra Mesh And Cotton

You receive 5 0.2ohm Kanthal mesh strips and 5 strips of cotton which is excellent, you can also buy the same in packs of 10!

U0Q3xk9.png

I do hope they will release different variants of mesh and also no doubt even as I write this some will be on the hunt to find out if anything previously released will also fit!

_________________________________________________________________________

How It Vapes And My Thoughts

I usually do have quite a few cons but not on this occasion, the fill ports could be bigger, although the 510 suits I suppose they could of allowed the option of also an 810 and wish there was more than just one resistance mesh available but the latter will probably be addressed in due course, then it's pros all the way!

Although 15s is a joke this is so easy and fun to build, I also like the innovative idea of taking the rebuildable coil head and fixing it into an RTA setting! That split airflow does add both restriction and smoothness, in fact this is the smoothest rebuildable mesh tank I have used and I have used all the profiles and profile copycat atomisers, I suppose it could be argued it should be more compared to sub-ohm mesh tanks but even here I find it superior in regard this is comparably smoother and much quieter!

Fully open and I wouldn't argue with the 50 to 60w rating but liking restriction I had the airflow less than half open which allowed just 40W for the same warmth and flavour I was getting at 55W fully open. Although this does have some restriction fully open it still gives enough air for most but the split airflow seems to come into it's own when closing down allowing for much more restriction than you would expect from either a mesh sub-ohm tank or Mesh RTA!

I love the quick release top-cap design and I find it very pleasing to the eye aesthetically. All tolerances and threading are spot on and full marks for what is included, including concise instructions which is good to see, finally at just 24mm at it's very base this will look good on almost anything!

Apart from MTL RTA's with one or two exceptions nothing else stays in my rotation but this will be joining that club, I haven't enjoyed using a non MTL RTA this much since the original single coil Zeus RTA!

SMOK FORTIS KIT REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Hello friends and welcome back for today's review that was provided to me from Sourcemore and can be purchased from them using this link SMOK Fortis Kit Single 18650/21700 Pod Mod Kit and here's a coupon code for some $ savings FORTIS. Here's a basic rundown of the Fortis Kit prior to by review. This is a single battery mod that you can run 3 different size batteries in, Smok only advertises that a 21700 or 18650 can be used but you can also run 20700 batteries as well. The Fortis is a wattage only device making it very easy to operate and has 2 different wattage ranges depending on what battery you choose to use in it ( 21700 or 20700 - 5-100w ) or ( 18650 - 5-80w ), Smok provides a 18650 battery adapter that's shipped with it inside the battery tube so if using a 21700 or 20700 remove it first. This kit also comes with a new sized TFV18 Tank that has been shrunk down called the TFV18 Mini. Now that you know the basics of the kit let's get started with the review on the

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Packaging is the standard box in a sleeve, lifting off the box cover reveals the Fortis device resting in a cutout of foam with a pull tap at the top to assist in lifting the top foam cutout portion, underneath is the TFV18 Mini tank, extra coil, spare bubble glass, type-charge cord, spare tank gaskets, Fortis Kit user manual, warranty card and safe battery information card.

The device is wrapped in a realistic feeling leather that is soft but doesn't have very much cushion to it, the color I was sent is a matt finish silver that has the SMOK name on one side and the devices name of FORTIS on the other side. I really like the look of the device that kind of resembles the Drag mods a bit.

20210929_124554.jpg

I'm so glad that SMOK decided to shrink down the TFV18 Tank to a much better size, the original was too tall of a tank in my opinion, you do loose some capacity but 6.5ml is plenty.

One thing I need to point out is that the drip tip is a sleeve type which if you loose it your SOL unless you have another drip tip of this type or you can purchase a new one from SMOK. Normally I prefer a straight glass tube over a bubble glass but the TFV18 Mini is only bubble glass of which you receive 2. On the Mini the bubble looks good and is size appropriate for the device making a very attractive combination of the two.

Another nice feature is depending on what color kit you order the tank O-rings will match the color of the device.

The supplied 0.2Ω mesh coils are beefy with a square design and screw into the base of the tank, don't forget to prime the coil first before screwing the base on to the tank and after filling the tank with juice let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes letting the coil become fully saturated with juice.

20211002_131729.jpg

The TFV18 Mini uses a push button to release and unlock the top cap that can then be swung out counter clockwise for juice filling, a open sign with a arrow is printed on the top cap. The fill port is large enough to accommodate a 100ml bottle tip or glass dripper. I do like the embossed SMOK name on the leather spine between the white stitching on each side of it, the stitching is tight with no loose ends or fraying of any kind.

20211002_151913.jpg

20210930_143913.jpg

There is plenty of airflow for all you air lovers because of the triple airflow slots with hard stops, this is a very airy tank and I had to close the airflow down to 1/4 open to get a RDL vape. Another item to point out is this is a noisy tank as well and if you close the airflow down past 1/4 a whistle sound develops.

20210930_144216.jpg

The spring loaded 510 appears to be screwed in from the top with 3 screws. There is a good amount of travel on the 510 pin and every tank that I screwed on sat flush without any kind of gap.

20210929_132520.jpg

The battery door is located on the bottom and is opened by sliding outward away from the display screen and feels pretty solid with little movement of it, when a battery is installed no movement or battery rattle is found using a 21700, 20700 or 18650 with the supplied adapter for it. 2 raised tabs and a raised arrow point the way and assist in opening.

20210929_132906.jpg

Once opened a look inside shows battery polarity position with a Red positive plus symbol inside the battery tube and a negative minus symbol on the battery door that should be highlighted in white to be seen easier.

20210929_142217.jpg

Having the option to use 3 types of batteries to operate the Fortis is great especially if you don't have a supply of 21700's or any to speak of, and if by chance you still have some 20700's they work just as well even though it's not publicized by Smok.

The device that I received is rattle free from battery rattle or button rattle. Being a wattage only device makes operating it a breeze having to only remember 4 button combinations instead of a menu system. When a battery is first installed and the device is powered up it will ask what battery is being used either 18650 or 21700, use either adjustment button to move to the battery box your using then long press the fire button to set and designate your selection. If your using a 20700 you should choose 21700 when asked.

BUTTON COMBINATIONS

* On/Off - 5 Presses of the fire button

* Locking/Unlocking The Entire Device - 3 Quick Presses Of The Fire Button

* Locking/Unlocking Adjustment Buttons - Press And Hold The Up And Down Buttons

* Color Change - Press The Fire And Up Button

* Clearing The Puff Counter - Press And Hold The Fire And Down Buttons

Smok did a great job on this whole kit from the tank to the mod, I liked the TFV18 Tank for it's performance but I'm not a fan of really tall tanks because of a greater chance of them being knocked over and have a possible broken glass tube so when I saw the TFV18 Mini I said finally a smaller TFV18 that is more size appropriate for most devices.

You get 2 of the same 0.2Ω mesh coils that have a large wattage range of 40-80w and a best setting of 60w, my sweet spot on the coil is 52w and I keep the airflow 1/4 open for a RDL vape because it's such a air machine.

Smok has really stepped up on coil production, the 0.2Ω mesh really puts out very good flavor with thick vapor as well.

Having a push button top cap means I don't have a top cap to hold or set down when refilling and it locks back into place with a click when swung back to the closed position, I don't know what the longevity of the push button is but it feels very solid. My one grip with the tank is the sleeve type of drip tip it has, you are unable to use another 810 drip tip because of this style, thankfully it's comfortable to use and looks good appearance wise. I am thoroughly pleased with the redesign for the TFV18 Mini minus the sleeve type drip tip.

Getting back to the Fortis device I'm going to call it a mid-weight device even with the tank installed, I mean it's not light or heavy but falls somewhere in between. I'm alright with the branding of SMOK on one side and FORTIS on the other because there printed at the bottom taking up only 1/4 of the device's real estate not the whole side, even the entire spine that's embossed with the SMOK name is done in such a way as to not be brazenly bold but done lightly.

All devices these days should have a color display screen and the Fortis gives you 6 different color themes to choose from, all of which are very bright and vivid with no washed out colors. Fonts are large and sharp as well and can be seen and recognized easily. To some people having a 4 digit puff counter is important and the Fortis accommodates.

SMOK-FORTIS-KIT-100W.jpg

Being a simple mod you would think some things might have been skimped on but not on this device, even at 4% battery strength the vape is like a full battery telling me it has a boost circuit on the chip. The layout is done very well and it also has a battery percentage reading along with a battery bar, the only thing that's not shown is the battery that is installed in the mod.

DISPLAY SCREEN LAYOUT ( LEFT TO RIGHT - TOP TO BOTTOM )

* Battery Bar

* Battery Percentage

* Wattage

* Seconds Of Last Vape

* Ohms

* Volts

* Puff Counter

USING THE FORTIS KIT

I have to tell all of you I'm really impressed by Smok's latest full sized devices and having a single battery device that uses a 21700 with a boost circuit and the ability to run 2 other battery types as well makes them a front runner in the market of well made devices.

The TFV18 Mini is a solid Sub Ohm Tank and now is more size appropriate fitting for the Fortis as well as other devices from Smok or any other vape manufacturer. Coils provided produce very good flavor and are a winner in my book.

The Fortis device is still surprising me and in a great way for looks, hand ergonomics, weight, multi-color display screen, boost circuit, 3 battery options to use and great button feedback as well.

This combination of tank and mod will continue to be used by me in my personal rotation of devices and tanks because I consider them both to be winners. I was averaging between 202-208 vapes on a 21700 Molicel P-42A battery running the device at 52 watts before the battery became depleted of power.

I would like to thank Joyi and Sourcemore for providing the Fortis Kit with the TFV18 Mini for the purpose of this review, I also hope my review helped answer any questions some of you might of had. I strongly suggest picking up one of these kits folks. ( IT'S A WINNER )!!

Another batch OTW

Well I just got my nic, PG & VG out of the freezer and tomorrow I intend to mix another 120 ml batch of 25 mg/ml nic, ~ 70/30 PG/VG. I made the last batch (of same properties) on June 20 according to the label I put on that bottle. I put the last amount from the 'batch bottle' in to my 'filler bottle', bringing the level up close to the 30 mls of that bottle. I'll get at least a few weeks from it, so I won't be needing to fill it soon.

Coming Soon: HorizonTech Durandal Pod kit - what is a standalone kit

We continue to broadcast on the next guest’s campaign, and by the way, a more advanced one. An unexpected novelty joined the ranks of the brand, which is known to a greater extent for HorizonTech. I suggest starting to get acquainted with Durandal Pod kit.
horizonTech-durandal-kit_(5).jpg

Parameters
Body material: zinc alloy + plastic + eco-leather
Power supply: built-in 3000mAh
Cartridge capacity: 2.0 / 4.0ml Vaporizer
resistance: 0.16 / 0.25Ω
Power: up to 85W
Voltage range: 3.3 - 4.2V
Operating mode : VW
Supported resistance: 0.1 - 3.0Ω
Protection: low / high resistance, overheating, short circuit, overcharge / overdischarge
Connector type: magnetic
Screen / diagonal: color, 0.96 "

The appearance of the novelty is quite beautiful and neat. The durable metal shell is decorated with eco-friendly leather inserts. The back is round, on the contrary, the front is angular. The size is unknown because the official release stalled before it started.

You should not want to be particularly compact, but you can expect good ergonomics. The line plans to start with four "cheating" design options - they are distinguished from each other only by the color of the inserts.
horizonTech-durandal-coil_(1).jpg

The detachable HorizonTech Durandal Pod Cartridge is characterized by good capacity and top filling. However, to produce the latter, you must remove the lid and hold it in your hand. Fortunately, it was repaired in half a circle.

In terms of functionality, everything is banal and simple - a variety with a decent range of adjustments. The latter is a decent capacity even for such a form factor - the autonomy of the future owner is enviable. Beginner Question Medicine Flower Flavors

Hello first post here, getting into DIY.

Ive decided after much research Id like to try some Medicine Flower flavors as I use VG based flavors only. Now, Im confused on what "line" everyone purchases for the DIY mixes they are sharing.

I would like to purchase the Silver line (alcohol base), will that be okay for DIY? The premium line contains PG, and while plant derived I have pg sensitivity. I have read there is a steep time to mixing with MF flavors so I assume most people have bought and mixed the MF flavors with the alcohol base.

Just needed some clairification before I drop the money on their flavors.

Im also a little confused. Ive seen flavors for sale on Wizard labs that were an alcohol base. Also people have mentioned a steep time to let the alcohol evaporate from MF flavors before vaping. These posts were from years ago before MF changed their website and created their "lines"

Were people mixing with the alcohol based flavors years ago before there was a flavor line with pg? Is it safe to use the alcohol based flavors for Vape DIY?... Or, when anyone is talking about MF flavors are they talking about the PG based flavors?

Thanks

VAPORESSO ZERO 2 POD DEVICE review by hittman

Hello and welcome back for yet another review. This time I will be covering the VAPORESSO ZERO 2 that was sent to me by VAPORESSO in order to provide a fair and honest review. The ZERO 2 is simplistic to operate since it is auto draw only. Its design is inspired by the cosmos which isn’t hard to tell looking at the shape of the body. The battery on the ZERO 2 is 800mah and the pods have a 3ml capacity where the original ZERO had a 650mah battery and 2ml liquid capacity. From what I understand, the pods are interchangeable between the two but I don’t have any of the original ones to try in it to verify that.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The ZERO 2 comes in simple packaging once opened exposes the ZERO 2 with the 1.0 ohm pod pre-installed in a plastic tray and the spare pod, user manual, USB-C charging cable, and an empty 10ml plastic liquid bottle. This bottle is the best way to fill the pods since they use the PTF (Push To Fill) method. I honestly don’t remember if the original one used this method but became very familiar with it since I used the PODSTICKS for quite some time. To be honest, this isn’t my favorite method of filling after having some issues filling the pods on the PODSTICK. So far I haven’t had an issue filling these pods. Perhaps I was just trying to use the pods too long.

The 1.0 ohm pod that comes pre-installed is rated for 11 watts of output and the 1.3 ohm pod is rated for 9 watts. I really have no way to verify this other than I can tell the difference in output when switching between the pods. As you can see in the picture below, the 1.0 ohm pod that was installed comes with a plastic film over it so that the user doesn’t fire the pod before filling it.

The pod has two gold plated contacts on the bottom that matches up with the two contacts in the opening of the battery unit and the airflow hole sits between those two contacts. VAPORESSO has now included the SSS Leak-proof technology in these new pods. In my experience it has been very effective and have had zero leaking on this unit or the XROS 2 that I reviewed previously and am still currently using. I like that the two different pods are color coded with the 1.0 ohm pod being red on the bottom and the 1.3 ohm pod being black. Also the resistance is stamped into the bottom of each pod.

In the second picture you can see on the right side is the fill valve. You have to push the tip of the bottle down into the valve and squeeze the bottle to fill. This valve is basically a backflow preventer and once pressure is released on it via the bottle then it springs back up and seals so no liquid can escape.

upload_2021-10-1_9-21-40.png

upload_2021-10-1_9-21-54.png

I found the airflow to be a fairly tight MTL with both pods and there is not an airflow adjustment. The opening/mouthpiece is pretty comfortable to use but I found that if I puff too hard then I can get a little liquid out the tip. The 1.0 ohm pod uses a mesh coil while the 1.3 ohm pod uses a Ccell coil.

upload_2021-10-1_9-22-23.png

upload_2021-10-1_9-22-36.png

The ZERO 2 is flat on what I would call the back side. It has the VAPORESSO name etched in it and it was actually rather difficult to get the lighting right to be able to see it in a photo as you can probably tell in my picture below

upload_2021-10-1_9-23-6.png

On the front is where the indicator lights are. Like I mentioned earlier, it is auto draw only. I received the carbon fiber edition for this review. The front side is curved and I can easily see the cosmos design inspiration. At first I thought it might feel awkward to hold but it really isn’t. Also on the front are four battery indicator lights the illuminate when it is activated by taking a puff.

upload_2021-10-1_9-23-36.png

On the bottom of the unit is the USB-C charging port. The ZERO 2 will charge in about 45 minutes since the charging capacity is only 1A/5v.

upload_2021-10-1_9-24-4.png

FINAL THOUGHTS:

If you’ve read many of my reviews then you know I’ve been a longtime fan of VAPORESSO products. I think the design aspect of this one is really fairly attractive but honestly was not impressed with the level of flavor or vapor production. Having said that, this is a low wattage MTL device. I used a RY4 cream recipe in this that I am very familiar with and is usually very flavorful across different devices but was not the case with this one. I don’t tend to use high flavor percentages in my mixes so if I was going to use the ZERO 2 consistently then I would have to increase the amount of flavoring I use for it. This may not be an issue for those that use commercial made liquids as they tend to use higher amounts of flavorings.

I do like the hand feel of this device and think it was nice that VAPORESSO decided to make the pods interchangeable with the original ZERO pod device. For my personal preference, the airflow draw is too tight for me but others that like a pretty tight MTL might like it. I would be interested in something like a .8 ohm pod with a little more airflow that would fit my style of MTL better. I do appreciate that VAPORESSO did include the SSS Leak-proof design in these new pods. I very much dislike leaking.

I would like to thank VAPORESSO and Milo for sending the VAPORESSO ZERO 2 for this review. I’d also like to thank those that take the time to read my reviews. Below is a link to the VAPORESSO website if you would like to look around.

Fighting the Last War: The WHO and International Tobacco Control

What is tobacco harm reduction?
Harm reduction is a range of pragmatic policies, regulations and actions that either reduce health risks by providing safer forms of products or substances, or encourage less risky behaviours. Harm reduction does not focus exclusively on the eradication of products or behaviours.

Tobacco harm reduction, using safer nicotine products, offers new choices to millions of people worldwide who want to switch away from smoking, but have been unable to with the options previously available.

There is substantial international, independent evidence that the safer nicotine products that are available today – including nicotine vaping devices (e-cigarettes), heated tobacco products and Swedish-style oral snus – are demonstrably and significantly safer than smoking tobacco.
