These tests below only note the ESTIMATED ratings for these batteries at the time I tested them. Test Results
This is the newest version of the classic Samsung 25R. It can be identified by an “8” at the start of the bottom line of printing on the wrap (see photo below). The previous versions, the 25R5 and 25R6, had a “5” or “6” at the start of the bottom line. As far as I know there was no 25R7 available to us.

The 25R8 also has the new “FIRE HAZARD! NOT FOR E-CIG OR VAPE!” warning printed on the wrap. All of the Samsung round cells we buy will eventually have a warning like this. Nothing in the cells has changed as far as I know though. In my opinion this warning is just being added to cover Samsung legally since all round cells are never supposed to be used outside of a fully protected battery pack. We use them at our own risk.

The 25R8 uses the new metal can codes too. The top line of code printed on the can should have a letter or number and then “25R” for all genuine Samsung 25R8’s being made now. Older 25R cells will not have “25R”. They will have a five as the second character of the first line of codes. The other characters in that first code line don’t matter to us.

Having “25R” in the first code line does not guarantee that it is a genuine 25R8 cell though! Codes can be faked. But if the code is not “25R” for a cell claiming to be a Samsung 25R8 (or recently manufactured 25R6) then it is probably a fake.

THESE CODES CAN CHANGE AT ANY TIME!

I can only report what I know at the time but as soon as I can confirm that a code change is legitimate I will post about it.

The 25R8 performs essentially the same as the 25R5/25R6 down to about 3.0V but runs for a little longer if allowed to run below 3.0V. They might have made some life cycle improvements too but that is just a guess.

All Samsung 25R versions have a max continuous discharge rating of 20A. I recommend staying below 15A to increase performance (reduce voltage sag) and extend cell life.

The two cells I tested both delivered 2550mAh and had DC internal resistances of 17.8mOhm and 18.1mOhm. This is astounding consistency, typical of cells from Samsung, and both cells exceed Samsung’s 2500mAh nominal capacity rating.

Hey all! New to forum but I've been vaping for 5 years. Was a cigarette heavy smoker for fifty years (I'm 71) and had it not been for vapes I'd be dead by now. I've been a Kanger Top EVOD user but looking for similar alternatives that are more readily available at retail locations. I live in the deep Ozarks and have depended on the internet to buy juice & coils. Worked great - delivered right to my mailbox. Now that the US government (read big tobacco) has made that all but impossible with the PACT Act I'll be driving to the shops in the city hoping they have my brands. Sorry to introduce myself with a rant but I would appreciate any comments/suggestions related to sources or alternatives to Kanger readily available at retail locations. Closest large towns are St. Louis, Memphis and Kansas City but since I have a plane (it's older than me) I'll fly darn near anywhere. Thank y'all - be well!

M Pro RBA Coil:

The kit consists of two parts; the rebuildable deck and the upper bell. The deck is designed to be screwed onto the original AFC base, making contact via a generously sized gold / plated pin.
The bell is screwed to the deck and screwed to the top-cap, internally the bell measures 18x16mm while the chimney at the top is 13mm wide, the quality of the threads is very good as well as the solid and precise construction of the components all generously sized .

The deck with postless design adopts a system called "Honeycomb Turbo Air Hole" with 20 holes oriented towards the coils with different angles of the air flow. The insertion of the Legs from the top simplifies the regeneration, saving time, the 4 slots are isolated by an elegant peek gasket and the coil is fixed by means of the lateral Allen screws. The two containment / cotton loops are suspended, wide and deep.



How to regenerate M Pro RBA Coil:
• Position the RBA base by screwing it onto the base of the original Tank;
• Choose the appropriate coils and cut the legs to the correct length, I used the 2 supplied Ø3 coils by cutting the 6mm long legs;
• Assemble the coils and fix them with the screws;
• Initializes the two coils until they are uniformly heated and equidistant;
• Prepare the cotton wick at the appropriate size to pass it through the internal diameter of the coils;
• Thin out and cut the excess ends by inserting them into the slots;
• Position the bell by screwing it to the RBA;
• Wet the cotton wicks, insert the glass tank and screw on the top-cap.

Final Considerations:
Freemax M PRO RBA for M Pro and M PRO 2 Tank is an effective and well-built accessory, when it is inserted in place of the "disposable" resistors it seems to be in front of a tank born and developed to be RTA native. The idea seems good to me also because the excellent COILTECH M 4.0 (which are at the highest levels among those pre-made) are worthily replaced by this RBA.

About 20 days ago I installed the Freemax M PRO RBA kit; regenerated in dual coil inside my Tank M Pro Resin Edition with the addition of the 6ml glass. The experience is more than positive, I must admit that the tank in terms of performance and yield has nothing to envy to any wire regenerated RTA tank, moreover I have not found any inconvenience, no liquid loss. So it could be a really nice idea to buy it together with the prodigious and innovative Maxus 200W KIT, I remind you that Maxus 200W is the innovative dual battery mod that also works with a single cell and in any direction you install your batteries.
