I’ve had this mod for less 2 months and it is completely dead. Does anyone have trouble shooting advice or was just just a waste of money?

Hi everyone. Vaping is banned in my country(i know). I usually vape when I'm traveling outside of my country, but no one's traveling right now. So I'm here to connect with everyone else.

Soo I bought an eleaf amnis mod with a basal atomizer....very cheap and I thought it was cute just to have as a backup tiny vape..
It had 2 coils in it one 1.5gs air coil and one is air 0.75
I installed the 0.75 coil cause that mod had no wattage control and 1.5 won't work good in my opinion with 11watts max charged battery...
I must say I am not disappointed for the money this tiny vape works ok the last 2 days I vape it...

Aaaaanyways the thing is I took apart the 1.5coil and I saw it had 2coils in horizontal position one on top of each other and it was wicked with silica LOL???
isn't it wierd??? Are those coils super old or something??? I thought silica was never used anymore....it had a cotton fabric like the one the innokin z coils have but inside it was silica
.....
Anyways I rebuild it in vertical position with a n80 1ohm and I am surprised it was very easy and worked good so if u are into that stuff u can rebuild those coils...and use cotton

TLDR: These are hands down the best out of the box results I have seen from from a cheaper mod so far. Compare the result to the DNA 75 and its not too far off in most states imgur.com/a/7Pe3Gad. You could argue this is better than a DNA out of the box because you dont have to do anything to ensure its pretty much accurate (A DNA mod requires the Steam Engine SS316L profile to be installed via escribe for best accuracy...anyone who says DJacquith or stock should see my test results on those profiles before commenting).

This Aegis Solo looks like a better result than previous Geekvape tests like the G-Box reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/comments/gf5pft./temperature_control_testing_results_geekvape_gbox/.

I am told there are two different types of boards running different Geekvape mods so maybe check before applying this result to other Geekvape mods. The controller in this mod is as follows I believe: ARM Cortex-M0 Nuvoton NUC220LE3AN. I think the other mods with this controller include the Aegis Mini/Nova/Max, ONLY! Without this component, the Geekvapes dont appear to perform well.

Looking for the black bottle for the topside 90w. I have a few clear bottles I'd be willing to part with if that'll sweeten the deal.

The attached is the first of 7 charts/states tested and does not represent overall performance - see IMGUR or Reddit for full report and analysis, or the TLDR summary. See a full list of mods tested so far, at the bottom of the full post for comparison.

TLDR: I bought this little mod for merely $15 bucks in a sale, and yet other than one (repeatedly tested) very different outcome for a (rarely realistic) completely dry MTL coil, it performs very well as a temperature control device, with good power (unless youre a very high mass dual coil vaper, in which case you need a dual cell mod), tight and accurate temperature control that is arguably largely comparable to DNA in most states (see imgur.com/a/EOL9hRE for current DNA series comparison). Its hard to beat in terms of price for performance...lets see how the stock firmware compares in an upcoming test. This Arctic Fox firmware provides a lot of the functionality of a DNA device, its free, and its compatible with a lot of Eleaf, Wismec and Joyetech mods! More testing required to see if it holds up across that range.
