According to a new CTFK press release, the US House Appropriations Committee bill for Health Education Labor and Pensions (HELP) would slash the CDC's tobacco control budget by more than half (to $105.5 Million for FY 2016).

The full House Appropriations Committee is set to vote on the bill today.
Looks like it might be more difficult for CDC's Tom Frieden to unlawfully fund state and local health departments to lobby for vaping bans or to implement anti vaping programs.
Please note that this is a different House Appropriations bill than the one that prohibits FDA from spending any of its money to enforce the "deeming regulation" ban on nicotine vapor products that are currently on the market.
