@cigatron I am running around 40J on my SXM with a temp of 450F using spaced coils. The resistance comes in at around .107 ohms. What is "afc"?

I forgot to mention that my ejuice is between 75-80% VG and using Cotton Bacon v2 today, but mostly Pima cotton for wicking. With my style of direct lung vaping, it keeps up without dry any hits but I am not chain vaping. Maybe a pull every 30 seconds or so normally when actively vaping.

Thanks Jimscotty0, lots of good info there for comparison. AFC is airflow control.

I've never had a mod with joules setting. I'm not even sure there is a way to convert joules to watts without a known time variable.

FWIW, I sent VapeNW a message about the clone/no clone status last night... still waiting for a reply. While I didn't ask them to tell me where they came from, I did ask if they received them directly from SC or just another distributor. The black versions I ordered should hopefully arrive by Friday and the first thing will be to test the authenticity code.

What's the prob(s) with the fec clone?

for starters, it's not to spec. The deck will not interchange with the orig. The deck base is thicker making the unit taller. I at first, thought they had sent me the 6ml rather than the ordered 3mm version.

The knurling if crude, the juice well is a lot deeper, making it difficult to get the liquid to the holes in the deck under the wicks. The fill holes are much smaller, to the point that 70% VG can't drain thru. As such, it renders the tank un-fillable without a syringe. (This I can correct by drilling a hole or two out in the shop).

The machining and finish is on a much lower level of refinement. and the low quality "O" rings impart an off taste to the vape.

The chimney where the drip tip attaches is much thinner and larger in dia. to the point that no drip tip I have will fit without being extremely loose. To the point that a Gen. Drip tip will literally fall out if for any reason it ends up side down. And simply vaping will cause it to stick to your lips and pull out.

To make matters worse, the chimney is so short, that you really can't use it as the drip tip as you can with the gen. It's so thin and sharp that it is like a hole punch. Not safe at all!

The tapered top of the tank cap, is an entirely different shape.

The post of the 'V' deck are much smaller. The well is smaller in dia, making for harder wicking. and the holes in the "V" post are not only drilled all the way thru, which makes cutting the coil ends a lot easier, they are drilled almost too large to the point that you can see light between the screw hole and the screw itself. It won't last long at all.

And cosmetically, the finish is much cruder.

Although it did end up being the 3 ml version, it is much taller than the Real Deal as well.

This is just what I found the first day.
This is most certainly NOT a 1 to 1 copy! :-x

I love Steam Craves customer service. I emailed them about my deck post breaking and they responded saying send pics. Well I did and they responded with a new deck is in the mail, no questions asked. I couldn't ask for a better experience dealing with them.

Oh, air flow control. I couldn't for the life of me get that but, all I can say is thuh! lol I just use the 2 hold vape band fully open on the coil sides. My deck lines up perfectly out of the box so I am one of those lucky ones.

I am waiting on the delivery of a new black one from VapeNW so I am planning on giving a 3.5mm dual vertical a shot to see how that compares.

Yeah they're good like that. On the 2nd Aromamizer I ordered DHL had an update on their website that my address didn't exist (it was a mistaken entry, they'd already delivered it). Within 10 minutes (this was about 7pm ET) I had an e-mail from someone at Steamcrave wanting to verify my address so they could immediately send another one out. I explained I'd already received it and thanked them, but it's amazing how fast they responded to a perceived problem and how quickly they were willing to fix it. Phenomenal customer service.

Thanks for that! I don't think we want clones. Even my one and only Aromamizer that I got on eBay a few months ago passed the scratch and sniff test. I would hope that VapeNW wouldn't ship us clones. But I know Landman and I will get ours in the next few days and will verify for sure and post our results.

The materials were also garbage. The airflow bands are some type of plastic or vinyl not rubber, it came pre-rusted, and the set screws strip faster than... something I can't say staying pg-13.

When opening up to refill, the build deck and bottom section with the 510 threading separate every time.

Yeah, but with his single coil, centered build like that, he's already going to get ridiculous airflow, and for a "tootle-puffer" build, more airflow may not be wanted.
all true ! but the picture don't tell me anything ...except its a vertical with a lot of cotton ??
