Here, back a few pages - I measured mine at 7.25 mls, any more and the tube displacement would spill out the top...

I did it twice...and the classic 6ml bottle measured 6ml. That's all I've got in terms of calibration...

Train... I didn't see a post about the capacity being less than the advertised 8.5ml, but realized that working capacity would be less, same as it is with the OG bottles. I could care less about the soft squonk, I have no problem at all with squonking the OG bottles.

These new bottles only have about 1.25 thread
Whoever determined 1.25 thread is all that is needed has got to be an idiot (I'm being nice)
I can't stop shaking my head in disbelief every time I look at it
There just couldn't possibly be an excuse for this

I certainly don't disagree.

I don't have any of these bottles yet, so no personal experience with them to offer possible fix ideas yet. But some will be on my next order if for no other reason than to support Rob. There is after all a very large supply of them in Maine that were bought because of a lot of "positive" interest in them here.

The idiot being the Italian MFG that originally made them for the other idiot Italian mod MFG with the overpriced device that has no room in it for a larger bottle!!!

I haven't noticed any leakage on my new bottles at all. Just posting this so a potential buyer doesn't get scared of giving them a try. The easy squonk is really nice with high VG liquids, that was my main objective. With the original bottles, I needed to squonk my thumb off to get any VG juice up into the atty when the bottles got down to near half full.

I am with you on both points. I use very high VG and like the easy squonk - especially in this colder weather. Perhaps I lucked out but, after seating with hot water, I have had no leaks. I can't see going back to the original stiff bottles.

At fill time on the new soft bottles I've been rolling up a small corner of paper towel and making sure the inside of the cap is totally dry and likewise the threading of the bottle before reassembling it. That and making extra sure the cap is really snug, and haven't been having any leaks. One time I hadn't seated the cap fully and wound up with a drenched mod, that bottle is still running strong for me after cleanup in aisle three, and re trying it.

I have a couple Grands set up with the old bottles too, I still like them for the ability to just hot swap a full bottle.

They are barely larger than the 6mm bottles.
I think the 1.25 bottle thread is only there to keep the cap from flying off the bottle every time you squeeze, no one even thought about leaking. Thats why all the talk about them has been about trying to get them not to leak.
Everyone that was interested in them early on were worried about leaking. They did a video to show how the bottle sealed.

Unfortunately at 1:15 in the vid when the bottle is lifted you can clearly see the new large wet spot on the paper towel that was right under the bottle/cap area. Probable cause though, one of the last bangs with the rubber mallet was right on the cap/thread junction. I don't know how solid the caps are, but that might have distorted the cap/breached the seal.

I don't know of any Reonauts that squonk with a rubber mallet though. :)

My ADV flavor concentrates for DIY are all VG based now, and almost all of the premade liquids I have bought for a long time are also 100% VG, or at least VG heavy if they used a PG based flavor additive. When I use those up I won't buy more of them, I'm going back to DIY full time and continue doing it 100% VG. It doesn't get as cold here as most places in the country, but I don't have any bothersome issues squonking OG bottles almost dry with 100% VG joose as long as I don't tighten the cap more than just snug. Slow squonk in and out, strong thumbs and fingers helps too.

Don't know if this will help or not. The way that I sealed mine is after I inserted the tube and screwed the cap on tightly, making sure I did not cross thread. I then clamped the end of the tube with my small needle nose pliers really tight and gave the bottle a couple of good hard mashes ( you don't want air to escape). I am running about dozen of these bottles on various mods and have honestly not had a leak yet [emoji846]

I like them so much that I ordered ten more from Rob to add to my original 12 that I had gotten in a group buy in a FB group [emoji6]
