As the thread title suggests, I am not sure if this is a viable solution any more with the new technology on the market.
However, after reading through many pages of the closed threads on atomizer cleaning it appeared that the Nu-Calgon Ice Maker Cleaner seemed to work pretty well for several users, but there was no updated info on where to find the stuff so I did some searching and found it available on Amazon for pretty cheap so I thought I would share.
