Welcome to the thread! I'm happy to meet another Siren fan.

I usually use a 2.5 - 3.0 diameter kanthal coil at 1.3 - 1.5 ohms and vape at anywhere from 10 - 15 watts. The flavor is very good for me, especially after a 24 hour or so break in period for a new wick. The flavor will improve also if you lower your coil a bit. I can't think of anything else to suggest, except to use the smallest afc hole and turn the afc until the smallest hole is half closed. I also usually use juices that are 70% pg, so the flavor is pretty good.

I'm at 50%50% with the liquids, I'll make a batch in the future with more pg and will see if I get more flavor than !!
I've not fully understood the difference in terms of vaping of the inner diameter: does it change much between a 2 ID and a 3 ID apart from the amount of wick you can fit in the coil ?!
Next setup I'm gonna try however is a Clapton, I've read about people getting the best results with that kind of wire !
So far I'm having fun regenerating and I'm getting more and more skilled at each regeneration!

Good for you!! Yes, you can fit a lot more cotton in a 3.0 diameter coil thank a 2.5 diameter coil, and you're less likely to have juice seepage through the afc holes with more cotton.

Impressive that you are already building your own coils after such a short time vaping.

On taste, I don't know at how many watts you vape, but i didn't like the taste on 30g kanthal if power went above 10 watts. Too little surface area, so at any given power level the coils get hotter compared to lower gauge wire. Give 28g or 26 g a try, you might experience a slight ramp up delay at lower power levels, but worth it imo. You could increase your power level slightly to eliminate the ramp up delay.

The ohms doesn't really affect the vape imo ( especially on a regulated mod ) , it's all about the relationship between power applied, surface area of the wire, air flow, and juice fellow. You won't even notice ramp up delay with five or six wraps, and vapor amount should be the same or more.

The base is also press fitted - in case anyone feels the need to dismantle one although I wouldn`t recommend it

The final stretch.......I think it`s soon going to be make or break time with this atomiser.

I have, to my knowledge, exhausted all options about curbing the random juice emissions around the base.

1. Some people may not care about seepage or flooding etc but it`s really a prerequisite for any atomiser that I use,
that it MUST stay completely dry at least for the duration of the lifetime of the coil & wick.

Any naturally occurring condensate build up in the base should be so little as to not cause a problem, ideally not even noticed and certainly not coming out.

2. Generously allowing a minimum of 3 days - that`s when I feel a wick and coil will start to underperform slightly and rather than just crank up the power, I would normally clean and rebuild.

everything else being equal, it`s not a lot to ask.... I don`t think so anyway.

So, the final test is placing an o-ring beneath the positive post+insulator as pointed out previously. (post 2172 page 109)

I think it`s safe to say that even though the Siren has a naturally wet deck, there`s certainly not enough build up of juice that`s deep enough to spill over into the oil film - like a toilet cistern with a broken valve allowing water into the overflow....even with poor wicking.
It would be noticeably gurgling before then.

This is why I now think that slow seepage is possibly occurring around the air tube.

Edit: Some people don`t notice this, due to various reasons but I think some do more because of certain factors, such as vape style (chainvaping), coil/wick type, liquid viscosity etc, etc and any combination of other things.

So I have cleaned and rebuilt 4,
a. identically (within reason, a standard build just like I would do normally, no extra TLC applied)
and
b. all with an extra o-ring put in that place.

The last test has started, I`ll see which get wet.....if any. (?!)

I've been using the Siren 25 for more than 2 weeks daily and, so far, it's been a great tank!
I'm new to vaping (I dropped the analogic cigs a month ago) and definitely a newbie in rbas but with this atomizer I had almost 0 problems ( I figured out the proper wicking after the first rigen which flooded a bit the air intake).
The issues I found are the ones already mentioned by other users in the thread, although the one that I find more annoying is the air holes... there should definitely be a smaller one for a tight draw!

The only thing that I'm not sure about is the flavor: I use a kantal 30ga, 5 spires, 3mm ID for a 2.13 ohm at the moment and I tried other setups (and never gone sub-ohm). Now, the flavor is not bad, but I was wondering if I could get some more of it using a better setup!

Regarding availability, for the fellows that are in Europe (I'm Italian) I can say that it seems the 25 siren is still easily found; not so much for the 22 which was my first choice before realizing how hard is it to find that one!
I can say that the 25 version looks still pretty good on my evic mini vtwo!

I'm very impressed! The only type of coil I've ever built is the basic round kanthal contact and spaced coils. I wouldn't even know what to do with Clapton or any other special wire! Before I could figure out how to use my coil jig, however, I wrapped them around the 2.5 mm rod that goes in the coil jig. I surprised myself by actually being able to vape them. They didn't look great, but most of them vaped just fine.

I don't know how to build a Clapton, but your post gave me an idea to build some twisted 32 g and 30g coils for the Siren. I have about 90 feet of each that haven't been touched in 3 years !

I`m still in the "honeymoon period" with these tanks but I do expect some level of consistency from my devices from one day to the next, my patience won`t hold out forever and if I get bored of trying to tame them or hit a brick wall where no options remain - then that will be that.

Fad, we are in sync. I wonder which of us will be first to say...... "It's been fun, Digi, but I'm outta here!"
My patience is fading like a sun-drenched drape, and I am not pleased. Let me add that I also am amazed how much liquid I really pull thru this particular tank. Not good.

Ok, in all fairness, I'm having another leaky un-fun Digi day. I may vape it dry and just set it aside for awhile. I'll still come visit in here, but with less exuberance than I had initially. I envy and admire your ability to do neuro-surgery on the thang, but that's not even something I'd EVER konsider. Bravo.

I sent that message on Friday and I haven't heard back from them. I bet I don't hear back from them and I don't want to get on Digiflavor's bad side by asking them questions. I got a robo call today from someone posing as my bank, saying my credit card had been compromised, and that they were going to send me a new card so I should cancel my current card. I thought about 52's recent experience and I was worried it was an issue with Fogitup, but my husband called our cc company and they said my card was fine. Just goes to show you to be very careful, and to confirm everything with your bank or CC company.
