And why not? Lipos can handle 2 amp charging easily.
Unlike the the 40, the 200 has a built in charger. To bypass it would be a hack job. I have rma'd my 40 three times, so in my opinion, the vaporshark daughter board isn't the most reliable thing.

1C is a standard charge rate for lipos. Many do have a max rating over 1C, but 1C is still the normal rating. if your going to charge over the 1C rating I recommend monitoring cell temps and a lipo bag. So if you look at these 900mAh that many are using, you would be charging at over 2C @ 2 amps.

So you've taken apart the vs200 already? Mind sharing pics. Can you show us what they did with the daughter board? Show us how they implemented the zip charging.

Thanks

No, I haven't seen the inside. I am going to hold off on buying this one until I find out a little more about their Zip charging. I am willing to bet it is just marketing and it is just a plain DNA200 inside. If it has a daughter board in it, then I will have to pass.
What's wrong with the daughter board?

It would make the mod hard to service outside of the integrator. The daughter board is not available to purchase, opposed to the DNA200.

True, but you can at least get it serviced easily through them. Just had to have one replaced on my year old rDNA30, $25 including labor, new daughter board, and return shipping.

So if the VS200 is using a daughter board for the 2 amp charging does that mean the you can't limit the max charging volts to 4.1 thru EScribe?
pretty sure that the DNA 200 board still rules over the daughter board in how long it charges.

It's also quite possible that maybe escribe can automatically know when a daughter board is installed?

I'm slightly confused about the 2A charger of the VS... I'd like to know/understand how they bypassed Evolv 1A onboard charger, but kept the Escribe interface? I know the rDNA has a daughterboard for switches, charger, etc... I'm assuming the DNA200 has something similar, just not sure I understand how it interfaces with the battery to charger at 2A while retaining the Escribe connectivity.

I finally got my DNA200 box going, now I can't wait for my other two 3D boxes to arrive :)
Big thanks for @Steamer861 @BlueridgeDog @turbocad6 for assisting me with this build :)
